We waited past the time parameters given and walked in to inquire about our order. It had been ready for some time. As I was about to walk out (without paying because I not going to order food that was prepared by people smoking), I saw that the cigarette smell was coming from the bar guests! I've never been to a Chili's restaurant that allows smoking anywhere! It was a shock-probably because in the city, smoking isn't allowed in Chili's (?) - I don't know. I held my breath, paid for my food and left. Safe to say I may never return again. That's disgusting. Definitely should be non-smoking. I have never written a bad review of a restaurant. Today I will make an exception. Ever since Covid and the impact it had on restaurants, this Chili's location has not recovered. They never have enough wait staff and what little they have are under-trained and overwhelmed. My husband and I ordered an appetizer and a Cesar side salad. We had our drinks refilled continuously but no food for 1 hour 15 minutes. After visits from another member of the staff and the hostess, we got our food and it was correct. The hostess informed the manager and she came and talked to us and apologized repeatedly. The waitress also apologized. I told her this Chili's can't seem to hire and keep help. She said she hoped to stay. I told her that was good but she can't do it alone. We hadn't been in several months due to similar experience. We had hoped things had changed but obviously they had not. We were there 1 hour and 45 minutes. Something needs to change. We won't be going back. It's sad because our area has so few choices and this just eliminated one. read more

There is a staffing shortage everywhere, but there were 3 people who even looked like they cared: the bartender, a cook who brought food from the kitchen, and one of the servers (not ours, unfortunately). The rest of us had missing items, and the salad I ordered, a caesar salad, was so limp as well as over slathered with crappy dressing it was so horrible, I couldn't eat it.There were spots on all of the silverware, they brought something that was ordered for the appetizer which made most of the table unhappy, but the main problem with it as far as I was concerned with the fact that they brought this plate of greasy whatever and didn't even give us our individual plates or napkins. It was one thing after another. Finally one of my friends insisted on talking to the manager, and since I wasn't paying, I don't know what ended up being charged for This Disaster, but she should have just not charged us at all. We even tried going just for dessert, how can they screw up a chocolate lava cake, right? well, they did. it looked awesome. took such a long time then was totally disappointing. Extremely disappointed!! I can't say I've ever walked out of a restaurant until now. A little over a month ago on a Monday night we decided to take our kids out to dinner at chilies after gymnastics.
