I have never been visiting Chili's since the early of 2003 year, since they changed the food materials and menu. Since then, I couldn't find my taste that enjoyed before. I loved the Cajun Chicken Sandwich, and Tropical Salad, but they removed those. All taste has been disappointed. The franchise restaurants are being sold to the rich investment company more and more, they started losing neighborhood customers, They don't have the sincere souls for the mom and pop food. I've been to this chilis before, and while dining in usually goes well. Ordering for pick up is horrible. I've ordered pick up from this specific location 3 times and each time either something is wrong with my order, missing, or they just put a very small amount compared to how it is when you eat food in the restaurant. I have attached photos of my order with the receipt next to it as proof. One of the drinks was wrong, the triple dipper appetizer I ordered had no eggrolls (they put chicken with spicy bbq sauce) and the kids crispy crispers with fries has the smallest amount of fries compared to how they serve when you dine in, the ranch was also completely different from when you dine in it was really watered down. I'd understand messing up once but all 3 times is definitely not okay. The kids chicken tenders with fries each time I've ordered always looks the same as the attached photo, please put online if the portions are different from when dining in. If the workers do not like putting in the same effort into the food they serve for pick up, managers please step in and speak to them this is not ok to do especially when the food is being bought and we were returning customers. I chose the Philly cheesesteak with fries..the best decision I made.the sandwich was big and full of meat and cheese and peppers..perfectly seasoned and cheesy.i will definitely pick this again..hopefully its a permanent selection on menu.highly recommended.. read more

Seldom do I give a chain restaurant 4 stars but place deserves it due to this one waiter. I can't remember his name but kinda stocky mid 20s white dude. Luckily, the 3x Times I dined there he was our waiter and his customer service was just great; very attentive. My partner in crime in didn't get the combo with the soup but he even threw in the soup for us. We ordered three dishes including an appetizer. As is the case with the Applebees, Chilli, Olive Garden restaurants I dined at, I tend to get a bit grossed out from the fried ,oily and heavy food halfway through my meal. The food was decent but nothing to brag about. The last time I was here the food was better though. Chili's is my go to bish! It has forever been my go to restaurant for any time I want great food and good service. The prices are always competitive and even lower than anywhere else. Because they always have a good selection on their 3 for $10 or two people eat for $20. Both great options. read more

Came by today for lunch and of course because of COVID-19 they put me on the waitlist which they said would be around 20 to 30 min approximately. Came here for lunch with about 8 co-workers recently, and the food was average and typical of what I'd expect from a Chili's. I ordered the grilled salmon with rice and steamed broccolli. The salmon was on the small side, but it was tasty enough. As a group, we ordered the Molten chocolate cake topped with vanilla ice cream under a hard chocolate shell. That was YUMMY! (See attached photos). Our server was very friendly and the food came out fairly quickly. This restaurant is located in the Buena Park shopping mall area, so there is plenty of parking. Man oh man. The bar is the only place to sit. Unless you have kids, then they are not allowed in the bar. We had a party of 8. Wait time was 45 minutes. Plenty of open tables, but they said they were at "full capacity" Lots of people leaving, again we checked in and they said that big table was for a party of 9. Although we were all alone outside. The mister finally went in and convinced them to give us that ghost table. Service....meh....I asked about something I didnt see on the menu and he pointed to the window where additional menus were and said "its right over there " So I got up and retrieved the menu myself. Waters were forgotten or delayed in refilling them. When it was time to pay, we were required to use the table tablets. My friend was kind of confused how to pay with her card or where to stick it. We called the waiter and he came back again and said "someone wasn't listening" Unfortunately in my opinion unless we sit in the bar, we will never have good service. I see why this place has 3.5 stars as opposed to my location of 2.5. Service here is MUCH better!! Wasn't crowded and was seated immediately by a welcoming hostess. Had an awesome, friendly, spunky waitress named Jenn. She stopped by often but was never annoying, she refilled drinks and my endless soup without needing to be asked! Just tried their curbside pick-up during the pandemic and I could not be happier with my experience. All ordered through Yelp, everything was paid for and on time. They spared no details. I occasionally stop by this Chilis after I take my daughter to Knotts across the street. The wait is usually not that bad and the service is good. We went here to eat the other day and we had Jessica as our server. She was great got our food and drink orders in and the food came out fast. I had one of the worst experiences at the restaurant today I decided to give chilies in Buena Park another chance and they let me down big time. I ordered a old timer with fries. When my food arrived by the assistant manager, I noticed my fries were cold, so I asked her for some new fries, she went and got a plate and had me take my fries off of the plate on to the new plate. She was gone for three minutes. She came back and served me the same french fries. She had gone in the kitchen cooked them again and put seasoning salt on them. The only reason why I noticed is because I also work in the food industry and I know when I see double cooked french fries, I flagged down the manager by the name of Tony and she apologized profusely but the damage was already done. I was disgusted I could not believe that a assistant manager would be that low down and dirty as to go back in the kitchen cook the french fries again and give them back to a customer, she needs to be fired read more

This is usually a 3 star place but they get an extra star just for the experiences and savings here. If you have their app, you're able to check in from the house and just drive there, let them know you arrived and your spot in line was saved from when you first checked in. I have gotten a couple of mean looks just walking in and getting seated but not my fault you don't have the app..lol The other thing is if you sign up for their email list, just about every couple of weeks they send you a coupon for kids to eat free. WOW!! I cant believe I haven't finished this review. Came here after a day at Knotts and we were celebrating a birthday. The place was packed but we were able to find a seat in the bar area. Once there it took a while to get some service but like I said they were busy. Once our server got to us he was attentive and got me my unlimited items quickly. The part that really got me was that even though they were super busy they got the crew together to sing our son happy birthday! He was so happy and got ice cream which made his day. Well, I'm sad to say that after having such an unexpectedly good experience when I wrote my last review, this time around was horrendous and we will not be back. The wait time was ridiculous for a Monday evening, and the hostess seemed overwhelmed and disorganized. We finally got seated and waited again for drink orders to be taken. Drinks arrived and we waited, and waited for our waitress to return and take our dinner order. Simple order....chili and salad, soup and salad, and a burger. Took forever for the order to come out, then boom! Soup and chili were served and the tray fell over with the burger landing on the floor. These things happen (felt bad for the server) our waitress and a manager came by to apologize and assure us that it would be remade quickly. I could have made a burger and fries in less time. Then when we got ready to pay the bill there was a double charge for the burger, to which we were told "oh yeah, that's he way we have to ring it up." Umm, no. If anything, they should have offered a discount or something. To top it all off the burger was just okay, the soup and chili were practically inedible due to being over salted, and the tortilla chips were super greasy. This review is soley for the interaction i had with the greeter. The first greeter was amazing. She was kind and had another server clean a booth so our party could sit in the "lounge" (bar) area. Unbeknownst to me, i should need to pay attention to when he finished to seat myself. My bad. When i asked the other greeter (glasses and young, cleaning menus), I didn't ask her name as she was so rude and talked to me as if i was stupid or was supposed to know the bar rules. (Seat yourself) my bad still. Well, when i asked her about the table, as i saw someone else about to sit there (apparently they knew the seat yourself rule), i asked if our table was ready, she told me, very rudely and with a splash of disrespect, to check it myself. I asked if i was waiting to be seated, she replied, "my coworker had to clean the table". I replied that. Oh, i just saw him walk by, her response ... well yea, he had to clean ur table and now he has to put the dishes in the back... its seat yourself in the bar. I said thank you and went about seating myself. Thankfully our waitress (andrea) and all the other servers were so kind and polite. But no lie, that really left a terrible taste in my mouth and the overall experience. Sucks, cus i really love chilis and kinda never wanna come to this one again.
