Honestly I've always liked chili's. So much better than Applebee's. Their food is so much better and always fresh. And lots of options.

I ordered my steak mid-well, but it was well charred. They offered to replace it or get me something else. The server was great. She said the kitchen staff was on the newer side and offered her apologies. I didn't want to wait for a new steak or something else. I told her it was fine and I was full with the sides. She brought the check. I expected a discount to be applied as a courtesy, but none was applied. I asked and she was able get get the steak taken off (nearly all of it was left on my plate). Didn't appreciate being herded to 'open seating' in the bar instead of in the dining area for lunch along with other people. Not sure why, and hate to assume, but my son is mixed...just wondering... The server was always in a hurry to get somewhere else, and didn't listen to my order. (I asked for unsweet tea) and he quickly replied cutting me off "we don't have sweet tea". I added unsweet tea without lemon. "Oh, that works out" was his reply. I asked for the $12 Caribbean salad with grilled chicken and was given a salad no larger than a side salad. And the chicken was lukewarm. He made some kind of sound when my son ordered vegan, which really upset me. (Son is an adult and was treating me to lunch.) I wish I knew the server's name, but it was around 1pm I think. The tea ended up having a bug in it. Asked them to bring me a different tea to go (as a different server started rushing off before I could complete my sentence) so I had to holler after her I didn't want it from the same container it was made in in case it came from the tea station and not the glass. I don't believe she understood my remark because she looked confused but kept going. I was brought a child's to go cup. When it was put on the table, I was the one with a confused look. I told them I would like a full size to go cup and it was brought back without a straw and with 3 lemon wedges. I then had to wait for the server again so I could request a straw. I threw the drink out because it didn't taste right. Won't be back to this location. Some people need to learn the basics in customer service. If I had been the server, the customer would not have gotten charged for the drink. AND wouldn't have received a child's to go cup. read more

I had a to go order and seems like it was a problem with mu order so when I got there they didn't have my order ready! :( but thanks to the girl who was in charger of to go orders and the night manager I got my order fix I'm a happy costumer! read more

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! If I could leave 0 stars I would. I have been coming to the Bountiful Chilis for years! I had dates there when I was younger, celebrated birthdays and family get togethers and EVERY time something of importance is forgotten. I went today and spent 70$. They forgot my boyfriend's bbq chicken sandwich, so I had to go back and get it while my semi- warm food sat at home and got cold. So nobody got to relax and eat together. I told my boyfriend to ask for a manager, in hopes they would do something to correct the mistake. After the manager argued with my boyfriend and insisted "the sandwich was in the bag so door dash must have taken it " WE PICKED IT UP OURSELVES, so that isn't possible! But really? Customer service isn't arguing with the customer! To list a few things they've forgotten within the past couple years: my cheesecake a few times, and the puree sauce that comes with it A fish entree order The chips One of the 2 black bean patty entrees Chicken crisper meal but gave us the side dishes.. After that they said they'd mail a 40$ gift card to chili's, which never came. I am just so disappointed in chili's and would like people to steer clear if they want a nice hot meal eaten together. Hair. Full-on strand of hair on top of my steak! I'm not freaked out, and I calmly told the server about the problem. He offered to have the kitchen cook up a new one, but my apatite was pretty well gone, so I just asked him to take it off the bill (which he did). Then...It gets REAL weird. The server takes my plate with the "hair-steak" and I can see him showing another worker (manager perhaps?) and this guy clearly rolls his eyes and says something to him. Then he comes back to the table, unceremoniously drops of the bill at the table, and walks away like he can't wait to get rid of us. I'm like..."excuse me, we still want to buy a dessert please" Lol! We get the molten cake, and leave. There's only two reasons I can think of that they would treat us this way; First, this "hair-in-the-food" problem happens ALL the time here, and the server immediately chalked us up as an unlikely tip, so why try? OR, They think I planted a hair on my steak to get something for free! Seriously, that is how they made me feel! like I was trying to pull prank on them. So "Thanks a lot" for adding insult to injury today Chili's! I don't care how much we like your damn molten cake. We'll find another place to spend 50 bucks next time. read more

(we are close to the great salt lake) it was too much for me though. The bartender was a sweetheart, not to mention a great waitresses.. We go to this location quite frequently as it's the 1/2 way point between our home and Grandma and Grandpa's house and we enjoy meeting up for Sunday lunch or dinner. The service is hit and miss but the menu is dependable if not spectacular. This past Sunday we were enjoying our dinner but they had the TV on TNT which was showing a disturbingly graphic movie, especially for my young children. I asked several people to change the channel or turn it off but no action was ever taken. Sad that a Family Dining restaurant would do little to improve the experience of their in house diners. Medium rare steak completely well done, Salmon so over salted couldn't eat it, salad brought out with food (25 min wait) with major additude concerning salad with meal policy (BS) broccoli perfect... I have never been so frustrated in my life we waited like 15 minutes before we were even able to order then the food took 40 minutes. 49 minutes we checked the time over and over still maybe they had something going on finally got our food it was all wrong we didn't get refills until we were leaving the food was cold by the time we got it from finally we asked for the check and we have been sitting here for yet another 35 minutes waiting for the check no explanations no apologies when I went to ask how long it would be since we had plans and we're already late I was told I'm busy please sit and wait. We were a party of nine with several older people who assembled in a corner table with Cody as our waiter. After 20 minutes just ordering our food, Cody happily smiled and took care of us. At no time was he anything but kind and caring. Even the manager came over and talked to us about a steak that wasn't cooked properly. It was a very nice meal with a very complicated situation. Who ever was cooking steaks on 02/12/19 needs a raise or a bonus. That steak was.. holy hell, better than the last time I ate at Ruth Chris. Sirloin was cooked perfectly top and bottom to keep all the juice inside the steak (for those that know what I'm talking about) the temperature of the grill is everything with steaks and this chef has it down to a T. Sizzling fajita platter with..... cold carnitas. When reported to the manager I asked how long it would take to get an acceptable replacement, he said 2 minutes. It's been 15 and still no food, as well as my party pretty much being done eating. Wtf? Chilis sucks, I was aware of them being Applebee's Hispanic cousin, which is definitely not flattering, before I walked in. 45 minutes for 2 appetizers..... that were below average at best... The manager did comp one of the app's, but it was to late, the damage had been done. We will not return to this Chili's or any other Chili's locations.... & I might just stay away from all chain restaurants after the poor service and sub par food I have received in the past. We called ahead to reserve a table, but still had to wait when we got there. Our server was prompt on our food and drink order, so that was good, but I felt like she was rushing us and had to many tables to take care of or something. I wasnt to impressed with the food. I would never order a quesadilla from this place again, very dry, needs more cheese and oil in the pan for the tortilla shells. I had to smother it in guac and sour cream to get it down. 2 others at the table said the same thing about theres. Chips and guac was excellent, but I suggest the servers should know the price of the sides of guac if they're not going to put it on the menu, I still never found out. read more

Chili's is pretty much the same wherever you go. It's a strict chain restaurant and not much for individuality among its locations. This is no exception. Food was on par with the menu and standards and service was nice. It's herd to rate any chili's more than three stars unless there was something exceptional about the location, which in this case there was not. read more

I have never been impressed with their very limited menu. We've been to this location a few times, and it is hit/miss with the service. The servers are typically good, but the hostess leaves something to be desired. The last time we went, she was very short with customers, and spend more time updating her facebook page than updating us on how long the wait would be. The food is fine. As mentioned, the menu is limited. My wife is a fan of pasta and they don't really have any. The chicken crispers are good, and the fries are not bad. The cole slaw is average/below average. I was surprised by how average the ribs were. I got them based on the famous "Chilis Babyback Ribs" song, and was disappointed. We do like the To-Go option. Makes for a nice break from cooking once in awhile. read more

The table was sticky and dirty. The portable table credit card scanner was filthy. We have been to Chili's many times, but not at this location. My Caribbean salad was good as usual. My husbands Mex-egg rolls were not good. His slider was good enough but was very plain. Onion rings ok- for the price we expected larger portions. HORRIBLE food and HORRIBLE service!! I took my adult son and 3 yr old Godchild out to lunch. We were seated at a dirty table. It took FOREVER for the server to bring menus. We had to ask to have our table wiped off. The restaurant was empty, yet our server took FOREVER to take our order. She kept forgetting everything. Like drinks, silverware etc... It took over 15 min for the salad to arrive, it was so drenched in dressing that I couldn't eat it. Then it took another 15-20 min before we got our food. Again, there were maybe 3 other tables and additional servers. Half our food was missing. We had to ask several times to get another bottle of ketchup. Ours was empty. Came here for my birthday. The service was prompt and the girl was so sweet! We got the unlimited chips with salsa and guac. Both Dips were decent and the chips were nice and warm. We finished with the lava cake--it's to die for! We were able to share it between the three of us. The restaurant was fairly clean and well-lit. This Chilis is the worst that I know of in my area. We have been to it a dozen times with the same experience. I would expect lower than average service if it was really busy, but it never is. In fact, today, it was quite slow and the service was still terrible. Waited 10 minutes at front just to be seated because the Hostess was too busy talking in the back. Got seated by a waiter and then waited 10 more minutes for a waitress to take our order. Then, they forgot some of our food, our refills were non-existent, even after asking for one, and the food was so-so. We will only go there now to use up gift cards. Other Chilis that I have been to are not so bad. This one just seems consistently terrible with service. read more

This is one place that everyone in my family can find something to eat and we've been to this location quite a bit. I've been surprised how great the service is here in Centerville. Their email coupon program was really great while it lasted, but now they've switched to a point accrual system (new since June '15) and I'm a little bummed that I won't have coupons for a free kids meal coming each week . If you're going to go to Chilis and the choice is between Layton and Centerville, make sure you go to the Centerville Location!! **They also have a system where you can pay your bill at your table with a tabletop scanner. Worst service ever at a Chili's. Took 15 minutes to get served a water even though it was not busy. Sat at the bar. Finally placed my drink order and that took another 15 minutes to get. Once my soup arrived, I was offered no napkin. Sliders arrived afterward and still no napkins, no ketchup for the fries, no salt and pepper to be seen. Finally someone came back to check and i had to request a napkin. Totally experience was around 1 hour 45 for what should have been 45 minutes tops. Seemed very disorganized. Entered a mostly empty restaurant and requested a corner booth. We also requested booster seats for our children. We were told to wait 15 mins and then were seated at a table where booster seats cannot be used. The guy seating people seemed to either ignore our simple requests or fail to comprehend them. We were asked if we were interested in the specials to which we responded no. Then they explained them to us anyway. Our side salads were so small they were served to us in salsa bowls. The meal itself was good. The queso burger is really yummy. Looks like others have complained about having to wait 15 mins for a table in an empty restaurant. Some definite perks going on here with the tablets at each table - makes it super easy to pay. But unfortunately, I went with my vegan friend who ordered a dish and specified no chicken. It came out with chicken and the server said she would have them remake it. Turns out they took it back to the line, picked out the chicken and brought it back. If negative five stars were an option, that's what it would be. Now, I have nothing against Chili's, its a good restaurant to find food with a big group, and all other locations I have been to are good. But the last time, and the very last time I will visit this location, was the worst experience i've ever had at a restaurant. We waited 20 minutes to be seated, which was expected for a Friday night, then we were seated and it was seriously another 20 minutes before we even saw our waitress. So we gave her our order and were on our way. 30 minutes go by, and we grab our waitress for more drinks and casually, politely ask if they are backed up in the kitchen. When she realizes, she COMPLETELY FORGOT TO PUT IN OUR FOOD ORDER. Appalled, my dad says, we have been here for over an hour, are you joking? She apologizes and apologizes and says she has been working all day and that she'll bring out free chips and queso. So she does and another 15 minutes pass. At this point, I am done wrestling a restless 1 yr old, and had somewhere to be, so I just say, have them send my food to go, i'll get it later. So the food finally arrives, they forgot half the stuff we asked for, so my dad asks for to go boxes and the manager. And the girl has a confused look on her face so he tells her, my daughter had to leave because this took so long, you forgot half the things we asked for, I am just done I would like to let your manager know, we would just like to take this to go and leave. So the manager comes over, apologizes, asks what was forgotten and that the chips and queso would be free and we could each get free dessert as well. The waitress brings us the rest of our food and boxes, my dad orders desserts for us and we think we are in the clear. Then here comes the waitress again saying they can only do 2 free desserts, not four. So my dad loses it. Says forget it, just get me the bill, we are done and we never want to come back. So she panics, runs to her manager and brings all 4 free desserts, my dad pays, for the "free" chips and queso nonetheless, and leaves. Side note: My neighbors were also there that night with a gift card the manager had personally given them because of a similar experience we had, so that they would come back, only to be told by her that they couldn't use it. I can only hope they can get it together, hire a new manager, because she is completely incompetent, and become a decent restaurant again, otherwise I can only hope they close and a better restaurant takes their place. read more
