The hostess setting on the floor playing on her phone.
Dee Ann S.

We went to Chili's Sunday night October 24. We stood and waited in someone to seat us for 20 minutes. They would see us standing there and look away. They weren't busy might I add. So finally someone came to us and asked how many. I said 2 and would like to sit in the bar area. They said they needed more people in the dining room so the people working in there had more tables. I said I'd rather sit in the bar area. My husband was wanting to see the colts play. We sat down and it took 15 min for someone to get our drink order. We have her the drink order and told her we were ready to order. She said I need to get your drinks first. I said can you please bring us chips and salsa? She said yes in a few min please. She brought our drinks and no chips. I said I had a rewards for cheese dip. And we ordered our meals. My husband asked for a appetizer of cheese fries with his meal. She said I can't do cheese fries and cheese sauce together. We explained that would be his appetizer. She said I can't do that. I asked who the manager was and she said Scott. I said we need to talk to him. She went to put order in inside the bar area. She came right back and said she talked to Scott and he said we were right. She didn't talk to him we could see her the whole time. She literally lied to us. I said this is why we don't come here anymore. Eight months ago we ate there 2-3 times a week. The waitresses name was Taylor. She said she hadn't work there long. Ok for one thing you don't tell people they can't order something. Another thing you don't lie to them about talking to the manager when you can clearly see her the whole time. This place needs some straightening up. I would give it a zero but wouldn't let me. Also the hostess was sitting on the floor in front of the podium on her phone. I have a picture of that.

May 2020 Updating my review. This is on their to go service. Ordered it & paid online. Waited 2hours 40 min for food. Never came. Was told would just do refund. By that time it was late at night. Family was starving. Called the next day to see if we could get our order for lunch instead since we already paid for it all online the night before. And they still hadn't refunded it. They said absolutely. Picked up Order & it was completely wrong. Had to make another trip back. 3 trips later, I know I will definitely not be visiting for awhile. Especially to go. But the People were very nice, Both days of different people working, but their to go service is one of the worst I have ever experienced. May-2017 I am updating my review. I still feel the same way about the food. I love it! But the Columbus location has the worst staff!!! The waitresses are rude, condescending, and snobby. They charged us for a drink that should've came with the kids meal. The waitress acted as if we were a nuisance for asking them to take the $2.75 off. So she punished us by making us wait 23 minutes to bring our check back! Wth!!! I know the game she was trying to play, how does she think that will ever improve her tips? Not just that, but she was completely rude through the entire service as so are many of their waitresses are. They don't bring drink refills and less you ask, they don't clean off the dirty dishes off of the table they just let them pile up so you have no room, they don't offer to bring refills on chips and salsa unless you ask. Just all ridiculous! The only good waiters and waitresses are in the bar, but if you have kids that's not an option. The Columbus location facility has the worst employees and the management doesn't give a damn. Feb-2017 First of all I love chilis!! They have the BEST chips in salsa (yes ever compared to the local Mexican) in town! With the variety of options on the menu, everyone can be pleased! I love the free kids meal Tuesdays! And I love that if u sign up for their email alert club, they send you free appetizers, desserts, and free kids meal at various times throughout the week! It's great! And they also allow you to combine discounts. Such as if you go on a Tuesday and get a free kids meal, and you have a free app on your email, you can still use it!! A lot of places aren't that cool with their offers! The reason I gave one less star is because there is Always a staffing issue at this location. They are either short waitress or cooks. So depending on what's going on, u could wait awhile for the drink or food. Another reason I am not happy with them at times is on more than one occasion I have went to the restroom and over heard the waitress staff talking bad about the customers to the managers. And then the management team actually agrees with the waitresses on speaking rudely about the customers! I thought your job was for the customers? I overheard the manager talking about a table because they didn't care for how the streak was cooked. I'm not going to go into what was said, but just believe me, it wasn't very nice. But if that is the role the management is setting for the employees, than it no wonder people do not want to work in that sort of environment!

Wanted a quick dinner after shopping, so we stopped at Chili's. Even though the dining room was almost empty, the hostess tried to seat us right next to the open kitchen door. I politely requested a more quiet location and we were moved to the far end of a row of booths, and guess what was right around the corner..... the other open door to the kitchen! Oh well, it didn't seem as noisy as the previous spot, but when I walked by the open door on my way to the restrooms, you could see that the kitchen floor was covered with dropped food that was getting stepped by the servers and dragged all over the place. Not really what I wanted to see when I'm about to eat their food! Chili's management might want to walk by those open kitchen doors and consider what it looks like from the customer's viewpoint. Even though the restaurant was not very busy, there seemed to be a lack of servers. It took probably 10 minutes for our waitress to come to the table just to get the drink orders. At that point, we ordered both the drinks and our meals because we were afraid of how long it would take for her to come back to the table. I ordered the classic Oldtimer with cheese and asked that it be served in a lettuce wrap, since I do not eat gluten. The waitress said she could probably get it on a bed of shredded lettuce, but that was the best she could do. The food arrived in a timely manner, and my burger and fixings were on top of a bed of shredded lettuce, as the waitress had said. It wasn't the most attractive dish nor was the lettuce that tasty but the burger itself was moist and delicious, even though the waitress didn't ask me how I wanted the meat cooked. The dish came with french fries, which were lukewarm at best, and were almost too salty to even eat. The waitress came back just about as we were finishing our meals to ask if everything was okay , and we just told her we'd like to get her check, since we were ready to leave. Overall, both the dining experience and the meal were just average, maybe even a little less than average. But I'm going to give Chili's the benefit of the doubt and assume they were just having an "off" day.

Found a new favorite burger! Come in and ask Jose @settapik to make you "The Boss"! Ask for Cortney as your server and you can have amazing food and fabulous service!

The best place in town by far! Go here for great food and stupid great service. Mmmmm I want my baby back baby back. I downloaded the app per my server, post ticket, and they reversed charges on my tab for the chips and salsa. Totally worth the extra few bucks!!

So when Gayle, Shauna, and I were looking for a place for Lunch (after listening to darling granddaughter play cello in her school's orchestra at the local high school), I immediately gravitated to the front door. The others were not so sure, but I managed to talk then into it. The interior is a bit dark (as expected) and relatively small, with tables on both side of the center bar. There's a couple TVs and at the time I enjoyed watching Iowa (Go Hawkeyes!) play in the NCAA Women's tournament. Service was friendly, albeit a little slow at times, but we had time and I enjoyed hanging out. And unlike Grandpa Rowan back then, no one was calling the bar asking my whereabouts. Unlike the Milwaukee of old, they weren't serving yellow beer, but rather really good craft brew. 2 of us went for Jack the Bum, while the other chose Diesel Oil Stout. I went full Midwest and ordered a Pork Tenderloin sandwich, which was huge and delicious. Gayle and Shauna enjoyed their beer and salads (BBQ Chicken and Salmon), starting out with Kraut Balls for the table. I'm not sure when I'll be back in Columbus Indiana, but Powerhouse is on my list.

They had a couple beers on tap - the Love Nugget and the Pink Houses were the ones I tried. Love Nugget is a nice hoppy pale ale, and Pink Houses is a hibiscus wheat. The hibiscus flavor isn't too sweet or overwhelming, which I like. Combining the two makes a very tasty summer beverage. The guys that work at the brewery are friendly and will takl to you about the brewing process and the hops they have growing outside. Pints are $5, and they had a flatbread pizza truck out for the First Friday show. There's a small indoor tap room and a patio with limited seating, so bring a chair or something if you're going for music.

Would I recommend coming here for food? No. Would I recommend coming here for cheap drinks? Yes…read more My husband and I went here last night for dinner after going down to Columbus to watch our niece play her volleyball tournament. They were packed and had trivia going on, but they still had plenty of places to sit inside and on the small patio. We had wanted to sit outside since the weather was nice, so we grabbed a table in the corner on the patio (it is a seat yourself establishment). After a while, a server came over to get our drink orders and we each ordered a water. I asked for a Bud Light on draft, which was listed on their menu, but he told me they only have it bottles and just had Michelob Ultra on draft that was similar. No problem, we each ordered one of those. Some time passed and I saw our server come out onto the patio, look at us, and promptly spin around to go back inside. A couple minutes later he returned with our waters and an apology about the beers taking a long time because "the bartender was too busy talking." I got more of the impression that he forgot to put in our order at all, hence the quick turnaround to get waters when he realized he never came back to our table. We put in our food orders in the meantime- I ordered the Reuben sandwich with sweet potato fries and my husband ordered the roast beef sandwich with sweet potato fries. Drinks came out eventually and were huge/ice cold, which was nice. The food also came out within 10 minutes, which we had initially been happy about because we were so hungry and we still had an hour drive back to Indy. However, my Reuben sandwich had huge, thick chunks of meat vs thinly sliced beef and it was extremely hard to take bites of and took a long time to chew. I had to keep using my hands to rip pieces off the sandwich. There was also hardly any sauerkraut on it. My husband's roast beef sandwich had very little roast beef and absolutely no flavor, but was supposed to have a kick from the horseradish sauce. The sweet potato fries were good though, they just had a little too much salt on them. Overall, we had mixed reviews with our visit. Our beers were only $5.50 each, so that was a crazy good price. Not sure if it's just for trivia night or always like that. Several times throughout our visit we kept getting hit with the smell of cigarette smoke because the patio is off the main sidewalk and no one monitors that people are actually far enough away from the building. Super unpleasant. This is definitely a fun place to meet friends for drinks, but I'd pass on the sandwiches and see if other menu options are better.

Can't wait to come back Awesome trivia and karaoke here as well!

It started out awkward because the menu still said "spring" at the last of the dog days of July and several beverages on the menu were "we're out". Then the "Elderberry Fizz" drink had not one fizzy bubble! We asked and they said that despite the name, the drink is flat. Huh? The Taxman beer was nice and the carbonation was just right. On to the food ... happy to find that the grilled cheese which is on local sourdough bread and stuffed with a nice amount of spinach could be ordered without bell peppers. It came with choice of side and she chose "Indiana mustard potato salad". Since she is from Indiana thought it funny that which part was "Indiana". I ordered the fish tacos small plate. The chef came out in person to make sure that fresh ahi grade tuna was ok (!) because so many people assume that tacos would have fried fish. He also guaranteed that not a bell pepper would be in site. We were sitting outside on their extensive patio and the beautiful food came out. We could not believe our luck. The $10 tacos were gorgeous and delicious, a bit spicy. The grilled cheese was more than the ordinary. The potato salad was quite good and a little sweet. If we lived in Columbus we would want to know about this great deal - a nice different meal for a Friday night or something.
