We had a great experience at this Chili's yesterday, which was New Year's Day. This made it a fairly busy day. I ate a 2 for $22 special with my daughter. She got some Cajun Chicken Pasta and I got a half rack of ribs. The ribs were moist and the sauce amazing. Her pasta was creamy and flavorful with just a hint of zing. We shared an app of Texas Cheese Fries, topped with jalapenos and crispy bacon. The food was exactly what you expect at a casual restaurant. We sat at a table in the bar area. The only bartender was also the server for that area. She was very skillful in handling both the tables and the bar customers. She was cheerful and unruffled. She managed to keep up with basically half the place with a smile on her face. This lady is the reason why I'm giving 5 stars. She should train all their servers! read more

Hadn't been to Chili's in a while so I wanted something different. We sat in the bar area the waitress who was also the bartender was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I ordered the beef enchiladas. This was my first time trying them and boy did they have "kick". Overall they were good and you get plenty of rice and beans along with them. The food is decently good. I've frequented several Chili's in my time. I always get the Quesadilla Explosion Salad. For anyone that doesn't know this salad has more calories than anything on the planet so no false happiness there. The highlight of my most recent visits has been the service. The blond lady that works the tables at the bar is fabulous! Sent in online order and arrived a bit early, waitress came out and said hey your food is cooking which we thought well that's nice of her, she deserved the tip I placed on the order ahead of time. Fifteen minutes pass, 20 minutes...and by this time we've surpassed the time for our order to be ready. At this point my Fiance goes into the restaurant and our food is sitting on the end of the bar and the staff is chit chatting about nothing. He asks, "Is this my food?" and our previous waitress goes, "yeah." He says this was curbside? as in duh, you just came out...and wemre the ONLY ones there...She says, "oh...was it?" To add to the frustration when we get home our food is ice cold, and my dinner is missing pretty much everything that was supposed to be in the bowl except the chicken and rice. I mean come on you aren't busy, you JUST saw us, and then got too busy in your conversation to give two sh**s about anyone else. Manager was called but that was a waste of time. Second time this has happened so we won't be going back again. Take heed and go somewhere else. Update: They made it right and gave us two gift cards to Chili's. Three stars would sum up most of my experiences here. Food usually comes out in a timely manner. I'm actually a big fan of their margarita grilled chicken, although grilled chicken isn't too terribly complicated to master. This is one of the better chain restaurants in garner. Plenty of healthyish options if that's your style. read more

The atmosphere was great. We had a good server, however, we ordered the chips and queso. They brought the chips out and said the queso wasn't quite ready. By the time we got it it was cold. Went here and was told when we came in that they had no tables and we had to wait when there were plenty of empty clean tables there. They did not want to sit us because they said a server was not ready. But it is not smart to make customers wait when there are clean tables ready. Also this place does not have Wi-Fi in 2019. But they do have a tablet at every table #priorties Also, they would not take our coupon as they said it was only valid at another location even though the coupon does not say that. Went to chili's tonight and epic fail! Sat in the bar area and bartender came over and said; what do you' all want to drink? Didn't introduce herself or any type of introduction - we ordered and all 3 meals came out ice cold!! I gave the onion ring to the girl and she agreed it was ice cold! We waited well over 30 minutes for the re-fire and the food came out hot. Got the bill and all the charges were on there 2x. Had to have the bartender revise the bill- and it came back with all 3 meals on there- I guess waiting for 30 minutes plus and being charged 2x wasn't worthy of a credit of the food. I have came three times to this restaurant in the past two weeks or less and they have given me a wait time of about 45 minutes. So I have left every time.... so this recent time I came I was like there is no way there are no cars here, so I agreed to the wait time. Well guess how long I wait????? Whoever the bartender is that was working on Wednesday, November the 2nd is rude and shouldn't be working in customer service. I am a general manager of a restaurant and his approach was very unprofessional and condescending. My boyfriend and I stood for 2-3 minutes waiting to be greeted, and wasn't. There was only 2 tables and 3 people at the bar. We sat ourselves, mind you... nobody greeted and there was not a "wait to be seated sign"! We sat a small booth and heard him yell from across the restaurant "Excuse me, we don't seat ourselves". He then proceeds to approach us saying "we don't seat ourselves guys". Speaking to us like we were children. He should have led with "hey guys, I'm sorry - can I actually get you guys set up at this table over here"! We will not return. Usually a good meal. You don't always get the same amount of meat. I usually order the same thing but it depends on the time of day if you are going to get a whole chicken breast or a few cut up pieces that couldn't possibly be a whole chicken breast. I recommend you ask for it to be whole instead of cut up. The loaded potato soup is good. read more

My pregnant friend was really craving the original chicken crispers from Chili's so we all trekked it to this Chili's waited about 30 minutes, no big deal other than the fact that 1/3 of the restaurant was empty, the tables just weren't bussed and cleaned. Finally, we get seated and we're told that our server would be assisted by another waitress (cocktail area) we get our drinks and appetizers everything is okay except for our undercooked and stale chips. We order our food it comes out at a reasonable time and it's hot. Then to come out that I don't have silverware for my Cajun chicken pasta and there is nobody around to ask other than the manager and a hostess at the front who are just talking. I waited probably over 5 minutes for them to make some silverware. My friends chicken crispers we're far from crispy and her request for extra honey mustard was ignored. We're finally over this place and the lack of service we're getting. We did the 2 for 25 meal and needed to get our dessert but the waitress brings out our check and we have to ask for the deal where she explains that unless the dessert is ordered. The two waitresses weren't the friendliest and every time we asked for something they acted like it was an inconvenience and rushed off. We both work in the industry and are both pretty patient people, but silverware should never take more then a minute to grab and you should probably ask your table if there food is good and a manager should probably be more present. read more

They got our name wrong, then when we arrived we were told by the To-Go personnel to go to the bar, then the bar personnel said to go back to the To-Go area, then they left part of the order out of the bag, so we didn't get what we paid for. It was a disappointment. Then I tried to call the manager to complain and the person who answered said "Hold on" and then hung up on me. My husband stopped going to this Chili's a long time ago. This place is really close to my home. I can not say that I have ever had a good experience here. I usually don't dine in I am a take out person. My feedback is only based on my experience trying to get taking out. So they have a take area but no matter if I come at day or night no one is ever working that area. My only option is going to the bar. The bartenders I have encounter really could care less about helping anyone. They are always busy gossiping with each other. The finally straw.... I ordered online and came to pickup my order at about 2ish. Oh course the take out area was closed. I went to the bar and 2 bartender where there talking. They didn't greet me or say a word. After about 5-7 mins another customer walked in and she was immediately greeted. The customer advised she needed a menu and a few mins. Then one of the bartenders asked me if I need help. I said no and walked out. There was no way at that point I was giving this company any money ever again. I wasted time and had to go get lunch another place. Positives: The waiter was friendly. They covered my meal. Negatives: The coffee I was served was almost cold and it took 20 minutes to get another cup. My order came out incorrectly and my friend's meal was incomplete (missing the chips she had requested). It's never a good sign when the waiter comes to the table & says "I'm trying to get the cook to fix your meal but he won't listen to me...so I'm talking to the manager to see if he can do something." My days of gourmet foods served in tiny wooden plates with edible orchids are definitely over. I reside in Clayton, NC, and the only place where I show off my Prada purse at local Walmart and eat shrimp tacos at Chili's. That's right the chain restaurant which I used to say I'd rather starve than visit. But see, kids, here, in the middle of Southern nowhere, "rather starve" loses its metaphorical meaning and becomes the reality: it's either Chili's or hunger. Actually I didn't end up in Chili's just because, I evolved to Chili's after a number of awful restaurants surrounding it: some stale tasting Southern grill, homophobic Chica-fil-A and cosmic looking Diner with generic lardy burgers. So stop judging and listen up: shrimp tacos here are really worth trying. With zesty flavor, fresh cilantro and tearing from ripeness smooth avocado. It comes with the black beans mixture ( I did not understand what was that about, soup, salad?) and tiny portion of amazing tasting rice. Service is not great. Slow, uninspired and partially deaf. Lacking general knowledge of asking "how would you like your burger cooked?" and somewhat drunkenly wandering off into the kitchen for very extended periods of time with your order. Also the IPAD pay station is brilliant. They must know that their service lacks efficiency and offer you to check out on your own terms. I wouldn't go as far as trying their neon toxic looking margaritas or buying a steak, but the place works for occasional fake Mexican food without severe gastrointestinal consequences. What a disaster. We had decided to have a lazy night and grab some carry out instead of cooking. We usually grab carry out from Ale House, but we wanted to try something a little different. What a mistake. First, the flatbread which I ordered without avocado (my wife is allergic) had avocado on it. I even double-checked my receipt and it did in fact say "86 AVOCADO". When I told the togo server this, they asked "Do you want us to re-make it?" I said yes, because of course I want it remade, is my wife supposed to not eat? I was told this would take 10 minutes. 20 minutes later my flatbread came out just as I was about to grab a manager. I decided against talking to a manager because I just wanted to get home (a 5 minutes drive) and eat my (now barely warm) food. When I got home and unpacked everything I realized the jalapenos I wanted "on the side" were left off altogether, but the Texas cheese fries were too cool to eat at this point anyhow. The "fresh" flatbread that they had to re-make was also just barely warm and not that good. All-in-all it was a terrible experience, and I was offered nothing in return for the avocado incident. I was going to call and complain but I figured that would only get me a gift certificate in the mail for a restaurant I am never go to eat at again. With so many other options in the area, or 10-15 minutes farther away, it's a wonder a chain restaurant with an average 2.5 stars can even stay in business. read more
