We came in one weekend afternoon to shoot some pool after having run into the owner down in Rocky Point some time ago at his other nice bar with the same namesake. We also saw what he did to renovate the famed Nugget into a modern Mexican Cantina in Maryvale, so what could go wrong. First off the bartender who was a younger lady seemed more interested in her phone than taking orders and seemed a little bummed to work but I dont blame her I dont want to work. I can say the drinks were reasonable and they did have seltzer options for the wifey. The ambience was pretty white trash even for the westside and that's coning from white trash growing up on the westside. They do have two pool tables that were well taken care of but ac was spotty depending on where you stand. They also had smoking which was new to me outside of legion hauls and it got unbearable when two people lit up at once. However, the hypocrite that I am thought it was cool that I could vape like a teenage white girl without hiding it from the gestapo so kudos to them for pushing the boundaries. Nonetheless cigarette smoke is nasty and still dont understand why people think others want to huff their blow back. Maybe im allergic or something. Now from the rumor meal I gleaned that the owner has a dog that runs freely and I heard others brought their dogs. They do have a back patio where I saw a guy let the dog out to do his business, around that same time my wife found a dog turd in the corner of the bar which grossed her out. I gave a few thoughts about picking it up, but a man has to have a line in the sand on cleaning up another man or dogs crap. We shot quite a few games of pool mainly cause we had the bartender turn on the juke box in-between her youtube videos and put in a few songs only to find out there was a queue jammed up that was 15 tracks long. I have seen some reviews that the bathrooms weren't clean but in this case it wasnt true other than the aforementioned doggy poo corner. They do have darts and I must say great billiards tables with a lot of travel. I also had a former coworker and huge fan of Aguilas tell me they have a cool basement at nights for added festivities which sounded really cool and gave me valley bar or downtown Cornish vibes if they can pull that off. Honestly aside from the cigarette smoke and my wife getting skeeved out by doggie doody I could have over looked the sub par service. Maybe ill go back for some basement raves on the weekend and change my perception on the place cause life is to short to just have one bad experience. Edit: I forgot to mention the Drive thru liquor store in front of the bar. We went inside and the dude working the counter was awesome and they had a great beer and liquor select, see its just hard to right a bad review without feeling like a Karen but that liquor store and personnel is 5 stars

I have been coming to the 34710 North Valley Phoenix 85086 location for 11 years and almost daily for the last year and will not be back. All of the bartenders are great except for Jeanine she has been rude time and time again and has even threatened to smack me for innocent jokes that bartenders should not be offended to. All of the regulars will not come in on Tuesday night when she is bartending due to her attitude and being rude. Please put a different bartender on for Tuesday, Thank You. I have overheard the workers say jokes to each other and even joke with me and I have never took offense to any of it. On Friday night, Jeanine's daughter Kate that also works there overheard me say a joke to the guy next to me which was "The surfers in Hawaii remind me of myself they hand 10" her daughter is older 25-30, she went back and told her mom what she heard and Jeanine came out screaming at me in front of customers and then a couple minutes later came back out again saying you are going to apologize to my daughter. For one my voice does not travel and I am surprised she heard it, it was not offensive and this is a BAR! I will not quit filing complaints with corporate and the BBB until she has either been taken out of the bar area or she has lost her job completely not only did she threaten me but also embarrassed me in front of other customers by yelling. UPDATE: I called and spoke to the manager Amy to let her know my concern and she said I don't blame her for saying she would smack you and as for the incident Friday night I am sure there is a lot more to it than that.. "Really Amy, do you not realize the guy that I said the joke to is a rights attorney, he would make a great witness" and then she said maybe you should go to a different bar from now on. I visited this Chili's last week and the food was great. There were four of us and we all ordered something different and everyone was very happy with their meal. The waitress was a little slower to get our drink refills than I would like, but she was very pleasant. Also, they have these video devices on the table where kids can play games so that was fun for my youngest. And my oldest "borrowed" the device to play some trivia. Once we ordered, the food took around 40 minutes to arrive even though the restaurant was only about half full. We also noticed a few tables that came in after us getting their food first. That can happen, so it was not a huge deal, but it definitely stood out. The biggest issues came when the food arrived. Our friends' meals were good, but instead of the spinach con queso we ordered we were brought the spicy bean dip. By the time the correct appetizer finally came out about 10 minutes later we had already started eating our chimichangas. The spinach con queso was extremely runny, had almost no flavor, and honestly was not edible. We asked to have it removed from the bill and our server was very kind about it. I do want to say that this was not a bad experience because of the server. She was friendly and did her best. It really felt like the restaurant was understaffed and set up to struggle. We actually frequent the Glendale location and absolutely love it. The staff there is always welcoming, the food is consistently fresh and packed with flavor, and the whole place has a warm, authentic atmosphere. While the Goodyear location is definitely newer and has nicer accommodations, it feels much more corporate and seems to be missing some of the culture and charm that makes the Glendale location so enjoyable. Overall it was not a terrible meal, but it also was not one that left us wanting to come back to this location.

Today, my wife, granddaughter and I were waiting to be seated for more than 5 minutes. There were people in the kitchen and they looked at us, but no one so much as said "Hello". I finally asked another diner if they were being served and they said the kitchen wasn't open yet because of a power outage. The other time my son and I came here. Fairly typical Denny's experience. We'll chose another place to eat from now on.
