It never ceases to amaze me how these lame, mediocre eateries continue to stay in business and attract customers. I had the unfortunate experience of dining there recently (certainly not by my choice), and quite honestly I'd rather spent the evening watching reruns and washing dishes. The restaurant is noisy and cramped, and booths are much too small. I was in a party of four, one being a child and the three adults on the petite side. And we still felt jammed into a booth that was clearly made to comfortably accommodate only two average size adults. It took me more than a few minutes to even find something healthy on the menu- I settled on the salmon with rice that came with a side of broccoli. The side salad was unbelievably plain, topped with stale croutons and limp vegetables. I can make a far superior salad in ten minutes, and thought more than once that I'd rather be eating at home. The main course wasn't much better. Even though I asked that a substitution be made for the broccoli, they forgot and had to remedy the problem. The server comes out with the correct side dish, but then she proceeded to take my dirty fork and started scraping the broccoli off my plate. I had to ask her to stop- she certainly wasn't doing me any favors and just making a mess of things. The salmon was bland and over cooked, the accompanying rice tasted burnt and nearly flavorless. The only part I even remotely enjoyed was the street corn that I asked for instead of the broccoli. Overall, an extremely lackluster mea. Again, I wish I'd stayed home. I would have been happier with boxed Mac and cheese. The service wasn't much better. The servers seemed inexperienced and distracted. They kept screwing up the order and making mistakes. One of the people in my party had to remind the waitress three times to bring out one of the ordered sides. Between the noise, the cramped seating, and the mediocre food, I would rate this place as unacceptable. I certainly would never go here of my own volition, but was forced by circumstances. The food is really good here. The service is OK. The waiters are a bit slow. We ate and still were waiting on refills.

I always looked down at Chili's and other chain restaurants similar to this... but about two months ago we finally decided to give Chili's a try. We were very pleasantly surprised. Both of my children have allergies and there's a lot they were able to eat on the menu. After recently going to Ruby Tuesday's and being disgusted, Chili's blew me away with the fact that the food was actually pretty good. I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews for this location but I'm not sure what people are expecting for the price they paid. The food is inexpensive but decent. Great service from a cheerful young lady, so good start. Draft beer selection is only OK, but managed to find a favorite and it was priced pretty fairly (as were the food items we ordered, incidentally.) They do have a number of bottled beers as well, so you can get the cold one you want one way or another. The prime rib fresh-mex bowl I ordered was OUTSTANDING. One of the best lunches I've had in recent memory. Wife ordered southwestern egg rolls. They were really sh*tty - greasy, with sparse fillings. That item dragged the review from a 5-star to 3-star, they were THAT BAD. Honestly, I've had them before and they were pretty OK, so I think the cook who prepared them this time might be a new hire, hung over, or just sucks at cooking. I know this review isn't very decisive or easy to use in making a decision, but I can only report what I experienced, and this trip was mixed. Bottom line, as far as I know, is I'd recommend coming here but just avoid those stupid egg rolls - seems like something that's too easy for a community college student/cook who's got his mind on something else to mess up. read more

Nope. No more. Food here has always been average - about what you'd expect from a Chili's, but the last two times I've been there I've had a major issue with the bill. On my most recent meal, I ordered the 2 for $20 special to go. Walked to the to go window and was directed to the bar. The following conversation is presented to you to the best of my recollection and not exaggerated for comic effect. "Picking up for Jerry, please." "Okay, that'll be..." looks at receipt, "$37.89." "No, that's not right. I ordered the 2 for $20 special." "Well, with tax and everything, it comes to $37.89." "No, New Jersey doesn't have sales tax of over 70%." ::Befuddled stare:: "So, my actual total is?" "I guess I rang it wrong when you called. But I'd have to get the manager to fix it, so....." We stare at each other uncomfortably for about 30 seconds. "Do you want me to get the manager?" "Uh, yes. Yes I do." Bartender sighs audibly, "Whatever. Hang on." Apparantly it was my fault for not wanting to pay nearly double what I should've. Manager did eventually fix the bill, but never even stopped to apologize or see if there was anything else I needed. Bartender of the year couldn't have cared less. There are too many options offering the same type of fare in the area to deal with their consistent lack of customer service. When I have a yerning for fajitas I head to Chilis. Their steak fajita is always top notch. I usually get it with the rice and beans and really stuff by fajita shells to the max. Start your dinner off with some texas fries...french fries, cheese, scallions, jalapenos, and BACON with some ranch sauce for dipping. They have the price fix menu too so you can save some $$ if you go with the family. read more

I entered chili's and was not greeted by anyone. I gave my name to the hostess and asked for a table for 4. Sat down with my family and waited for our name. One minute later a family of four entered and was seated immediately. Did I miss something? We are then seated and proceed to wait 5 minutes before our server came over. Our server Blake was friendly though. I ordered for an app chips with guac. It came out without guac and had instead salsa, which was cold, like fresh out the refrigerator cold. I ordered the sinner for two and got the char grilled sirloin, ordered medium. It came out well done. It was edible. The aspharagus that came with it was on point. The other dish I got was the Cajun chicken pasta. The chicken was overcooked as well as the pasta. Overall really mediocre food and service, except for blake. He was the best part of my visit. I picked up an order May 20. As an older woman susceptible to complications of COVID19 I'm trying to minimize contact or prolonged exposure. I had to go to the indoor pickup counter and was the only customer there. The girl at the register called for my order to be brought up but then she stayed counting coins and BLOCKING the narrow space for the other worker to bring over my order and for me to pay. The girl continued counting coins until the girl holding my order noticed my discomfort at the prolonged wait so she made her way through with difficulty to the counter while the girl at the register stayed put and continued to count coins!! This clueless and rude girl needlessly kept me waiting for a prolonged time, increasing my exposure. Her behavior is inexcusable! To protect my health, I will not return to Chilies. read more

If I could, I would give zero stars! There were only two good things about our trip - we had a gift card, and our server was nice. The water tastes like it came from the toilet. We were sitting by the kitchen, yet all we could smell was poop the whole time. Our food wasn't very good and the sauces seemed to be made from the same toilet water that was in our glasses. This was, by far, the worst food I've ever had. Went for hubbys B'day (his choice) The appetizers were fine, & the grapefruit margarita was good....then the main course came. We both got the Fajita Trio, when the food came, no sizzling platter...overcooked veggies, lukewarm food. They got my order wrong, gave me chicken instead of prime rib. Our waiter(who was, by the way, terrific), noticed the mistake & brought out steak, but it was overcooked & salty as hell, & I like salt. It was unappealing to the eye...just awful. My daughter had a Rib eye, and it wasnt any better, it was horribly bland. None of us ate. The manager said they were trying out a new way of doing things in the kitchen...well, it ain't working. Chilis in Market Place Hamilton. When you can't make a salad it is time to close up shop. We have been going to Chilis for at least 8 years. We order the same meal you could call us regulars. This is my wife's favorite restaurant and we order out once a week at least. We get gift cards for birthdays and holidays here as per request. That is how much we eat here. We just moved to the Hamilton area and have been going to our local Chilis. We were so excited with how close it was to our home. Sad to say how disappointed we were. My wife orders a Caribbean Chicken Salad. Every time we went the portion size got smaller and smaller. As we order out it comes in the container and at first I wasn't looking in the container. After 5 times of going back and giving feedback to management about the size of the portion you think they would have reacted. No management said to us that they ran out of the regular size container. So wait you mean to tell me you are charging me for a regular size container but giving me a smaller container?!?! Ok you think that would have fixed this?!? No again we have gone and we have had to ask for second containers or to speak to the manager. On our last dine in experience we met one of the new managers who just came here from Princeton as the Princeton location has closed and Buffallo Wild Wings is replacing it. He said to us that he would take our concerns and just to ask for him when we were in. I said we don't want to ask for anyone we just want to give you our feedback. Again we called in tonight after a long day of travel and ordered out. I went to the bar to pick my food up, while 6 associates were having conversation about what they were going to be doing that night and who was going to sit by who in the car ride home. Finally the food came and I paid. I looked in the container to find and empty salad half container again. I asked the waitress if there were bigger containers and she said yes. I said could you put in there. She said, "what do you want just more salad." I said I would like more salad in a bigger container. She came back with another container and thinking after I had come back in from my car to fix the order it would be filled with salad. "The customer is always right?!?" Or just after someone gave feedback and asked for more salad. How much would it cost you for some extra lettuce? She literally only took one half handful of lettuce and threw it in the styrofoam container and sent me on my way. I called back and asked to speak to the manager to tell him and again the immediate apologies and what can I do to make it right. Nothing you can do now, you have lost my business and you never took our feedback to heart. Sad to say we will not be going to Chilis anymore. I visited this restaurant today in order to get a gift card. Upon arrival there was no one at the door so I waited a few minutes and when no one arrived I went directly to the bar. I waited a few minutes for the female bartender named Nicole to approach me because she was too busy bragging to male customers at the bar about, "Oh, no.... they used to come there to see me." Once she finally approached me I asked her if I could get a gift certificate from her. She said yes but she was very cold and acted like I was bothering her. She quickly did the transaction, pushed the receipt in front of me for me to sign, and then she walked away. Let me tell you something Nicole, as a former bartender (25 years), who now manages a very popular bar/restaurant in Philly, you would NEVER work for me! There are thousands of professional bartenders out there with excellent customer service skills, and Chili's should replace you with one of them. I'll go elsewhere the next time. read more

My family and I have been going here for over 2 years and WOW they went downhill. Last night my husband and I waited 3-4 minutes for a host come from. All these waiters and waitresses were passing us by, mingling with there workers ignoring us! When you finally sit down your have many different people waiting on you, it gets confusing. Theres dusts all over the wood, the kitchen is filthy, ever walk to the bathroom? Dont look left. Was here on May 15,2017 and sat at the bar by the tap handles. And our bartender was Kerri .. at first she was polite and good. While we waited for our food. Not once but twice she threw a glass bottles in the trash and the second broke by hitting the top rail of the bar. And almost got into our food. So we said something and the one waitress with black hair don't know her name she was like ok ok. I think she was her bar back . And then the bar back took one of our glasses, washed it and never asked if we wanted another one. So finally we got our check and said something to Kerri and she was oh ok. And said sorry .. so we paid .. after the incident happened we noticed the bar back waitress was talking to another patrons about us at the end of the bar. And on top of this you don't do a military discount because your a franchise.. this was very unprofessional. We will never be back read more
