WORST MANAGEMENT EVER!! Will never be back. I came for the first time with my family and they ruined our experience. They messed up my hamburger order and added cheese when I specifically asked for just the hamburger meat and bun. The manager came over to our table and blabbed on not knowing even what had happened. She didn't apologize for the mistake. Seven minutes later they brought back the same plate with the cheese scraped off!! The manager came over and AGAIN did not know the exact situation... she did not know what she was apologizing. Terrible management, terrible experience, terrible service... Waited for food....waited, waited, waited. Fajitas finally came out and were cold. They said they would re-heat, then said they would re-make. Another wait, wait, wait. Server apologized, manager came out and apologized, still no food. Finally after over an hour after we ordered, we told them we were leaving. Won't be back. read more

We were extremely disappointed in the service and food !!! My husband and I took our seats at the bar, the bartender took our drink and food order. We waited over 5 minutes to get our "on tap beers" which were located right in front of us. We ordered my favorite, the Grilled Caribbean Chicken salad. There was no oranges, onions or cilantro in the salad and the dressing was not the honey lime I remember. We mentioned to the bartender that we didn't have part of the ingredients and his reply was "the onions are cut up in it and there is suppose to be oranges in it" ....and that was that !!!! My husband finally talked to a manager that was attending the complaints of the gentlemen next to us. He looked down at my salad to make sure I was telling the truth and then gave us a whooping $4.00 off. That will be our first AND last trip to Joplins Chili's !!! read more

I worked here from the very beginning, starting with corporate training. The training was a complete joke, they made us sit in a class like setting, and basically lectured us on how to serve. Which many cannot learn or retain information that way, not that it mattered anyway, because the second corporate trainers left everything we were taught changed. I repeatedly would get in trouble for something by one manager, and then be told to do it by another. The favoritism was out of control, not that it was the employees faults, but it was the most unprofessional experience I've ever had. There are transfers working there from the Pittsburgh, KS store, and they were treated with twice the amount of respect and leniency I ever was. I couldn't have a water bottle behind the bar, they had energy drinks and coffee cups, I couldn't have my purse, they hair pairs of shoes, back packs, and purses, I couldn't let anyone besides bartenders behind the bar, they did every day, I couldn't give servers remotes, they did all the time, I couldn't leave my bar top or tables un-bussed before leaving, I had to buss their bartops and tables for them every time they clocked out, they told me and nearly everyone else that it is corporate policy thay employees are not allowed to sit at the bar, especially drink at it, the transfers always did and would have drinks and the managers always would. I over heard managers speaking horribly about each other and other employees numerous times, just today at the bar one of the managers used profanity to slander another manager to the mid sift manager. Managers gossiped and talked bad about employees with other managers and employees all of the time, like it was high school gossip. They do not give lunch breaks, or even 10-15 minute breaks, which is legally required if someone is working 5 or more hours. All of this, is forgivable, to some extent. I continued to work, and brushed it off. But today, the disrespect was out of control. I have a disorder called auto immune thyroiditis, and I was on my menstrual cycle, due to the thyroid problem, I cannot stand the pain without stomache medication on me. Also, I obviously needed feminine hygiene products easily accessible. I brought my purse with my tampons and medicine in, and one of the managers blasted me condescendingly for it in front of the entire kitchen, instead of pulling me aside, thus I had to basically tell everyone that I was on my period. He told me I had to carry my tampons in by hand, and put them on a shelf behind the bar, which is visible to everyone sitting at the bar or a high top, and take one from there for everyone to see any time I needed to change it. I told him I refused to do that, and he told me again that I had to. I walked away, and I was never pulled aside, or apologized to, no explanation was given as to why I would have to do that when I am on my period. We have no employee break rooms, no lockers, absolutley zero safe place to keep personal belongings. I just wanted to share my story, because I think it is important to hold companies to high respectful standards, and I am truly hurt by the way I was treated with my time there. There are many great servers, bartenders, hosts, and kitchen staff members that are amazing workers, and I see them always do their best. Even the employees given favoritism were good emloyees, and I do not have any blame or fault for them whatsoever. With the exception of 2 managers, that being the server and host manager, and bar and to go manager, all of the others were disrespectful, unprofessional, and humiliating. I would have given it one star, but for those who were great co worker I give it a 2, because I want them to have business, because they deserve it. I hope that corporate will force them to treat people fairly and with dignity, because they are currently breeding a culture of deceit, gossip, manipulation of feelings, and worst of all, less than allowable standards for women during their menstrual cycle. read more

First time at the Joplin location, and it was a horrible experience. We had a large party and understood we would have to wait. We used your app to help prepare your restaurant for our group of 16, checking in at 6:30 with a time of getting a table between 7:15 an 7:30. 8:00 rolled around an once again we were told it would be an additional 20 minutes that people were lollygagging at the table that was for us an they just couldn't ask them to leave. The hosted pointed at the table an said see the other half is clean an waiting. We then saw the table that we had been told more then once was ours go to a different group. At this time I talked I the manager an was told it would be an additional 30 minutes as that table was not ours but ours was on the other side of the restaurant.That a different large group had their reservation scheduled right before ours well almost at the same time. So we left an are now enjoying great customer service at Cheddar's who got us a table in less then 15 minutes. Thanks Cheddars for saving our night! Shame on you Chili's! I guess you just don't know how to plan for a busy night or how to tell time. read more

Went to Chili's for my daughters birthday because the birthday girl gets to pick the restaurant. There was no wait time since it was a Wednesday evening which was great. As soon as we were seated we asked our waitress about "Happy Hour." She stated that if we wanted to go to the bar and order our drinks we could get them at the Happy Hour price but they would be regular price at our table. We turned to look toward the bar area and you could not see it from all of the people. Since it was my daughter's birthday she decided to order a drink that the waitress recommended. When she got the drink she said it was gross. She told the waitress and the waitress said she was sorry and walked off never offering to replace the drink. My daughter and I did the two for $20.00 and my husband ordered the Sunrise Burger. Our food arrived in a timely manner but it was just average. While eating our meal from Chili's we were discussing the Longhorn Steakhouse which is where I wanted to eat. LOL When eating at the Longhorn you can order Happy Hour drinks right at your table along with Happy Hour appetizers plus you are served hot bread. Chili's needs to realize that there is fierce restaurant competition in Joplin. After arriving home and looking at our receipt we realized that we were charged $8.89 for a $6.00 Happy Hour drink that was gross and we were charged $1.99 for entertainment. My husband called Chili's and the manager told him that the $1.99 entertainment charge was a game app we must have hit when paying our bill. He offered to refund the money which was nice. We can pick it up next time one of us is in town. read more
