Last Sunday, Chili's was a last resort since we couldn't find a decent wait time anywhere else. The parking there is wonderful. Many open spaces and no issues in the lot. I have always had a special place in my heart for this restaurant. I mostly frequented the Arundel Mills location but that was shut down for a Zenn Burger??? I have been to Nursery Rd several times and was never disappointed. I was this time. I ordered the sirloin for a change of pace. Asked for medium rare got medium well. Stuffed mashed potatoes were good, broccoli came out cold. My wife got chicken crisper, which she loves. Not very good. Tasted like the oil in the fryer was to old plus several pieces were overdone. I was not quite sure what I was thinking when I suggested we come here before seeing a movie at Hoyts. I read the reviews, I knew it was awful but thought, "that won't happen to me." Boy was I wrong!!! We came here for the happy hour, some half price appetizers and cheap drinks! Yes Please!!! My food was sub par, I got fajitas and they were undercooked... like way undercooked, but hey, I like rare steak on occasion so why not. 3am this morning I awoke with only what I can assume is horrendous food poisioning. Since I had chick-fil-a for lunch, I'm assuming it's from the fajitas at Chilis. Anywho, I got another drink from a different server because I couldn't find ours, with a sugar rim NOT SALT. I get my drink from our server who magically showed up (after an ass chewing no doubt) and I go to take a lick of the rim and a sip and OMG!!! ITS SALT!!! Now, if I had been prepared for salt, it wouldn't have been so dramatic to my palet, however, I was prepared for sweet sugar. I guzzled 1/4 of my drink to get the horrid taste out of my mouth and literally holler at my waitress who is a few tables away. She is hesitant to take my drink after I tell her what the problem is. She goes to the bar, and comes back and said, we can't give you another drink because you drank some of this so you have to either drink the rest or order a new one.... I was fuming! She wasn't there to take my order, so a stand in did and now I have salt mouth, it's her fault. So I grudgingly take my drink back and sprinkle sugar on the rim myself. So here's the thing that really put me over the edge. We were without drinks most of our meal beacause she was hanging out with her pals and hiding from her tables. We get our bill and I was charged full price for my second margaritta and dh was charged full price for his beer. WTF? I asked her and she said that the computer automatically does at 7. That's fine but a fugging heads up would have been nice. Especially since we told her before we ordered, we wanted the happy hour specials. I've never had a waitress do that before. Im actually livid. Her customer service was so poor that I will never come here again. Despite eating dinner at home before travelling to Baltimore, after our 1.5 hour trek down 83 and across 695/295 we were hungry for something sweet. Chili's typically serves-up some pretty tasty treats, so I pulled in to grab some dessert with my family. Food: We ordered the Berry Cobbler dessert in a skillet, as well as the caramel brownie dessert - also in a skillet. Both were exactly as I had thought they would be - delicious calorie-bombs. When you want something over-indulgent, excessively sweet, and also have a desire to get your weekly allotment of sugar and calories in one dish - Chili's is your place. Since we only got desserts, I cannot comment too much further on this particular experience, but Chili's Triple Dipper (formerly known as the Triple Play) with boneless buffalo wings, chicken crispers, and southwest eggrolls - is still one of my favorite 'meals' of all time. For this experience though, the desserts were good. For about $7 each, I should have expected monstrous desserts. But my eyes were bigger than my stomach and we ordered to desserts for the three of us. Half of each ended up being wasted because of how large they were! You could easily split one dessert between two or more adults. Overall though, the Berry Crisp was my favorite. It was well-balanced whereas the brownie caramel dessert was just sweet on top of sweet on top of chocolate. It is what I expected, but I don't think I would order again. Food: 4 / 5 Service: This is one of Chili's biggest downfalls. Their service is typically well-below-average on nearly every front. From the hostess who seemed annoyed that we were coming in at 830pm, to our server who did not get to our table until 8 minutes following being sat, to the excessively slow times to bring water and desserts, to even the general attitude of the entire wait staff. Maybe it is a Maryland thing, but I typically get worse service in the Baltimore region than nearly anywhere else in the US. The only exception to that is Memphis. Memphis was, by far, the worst service experience ever - consistently. Baltimore isn't far behind. Service: 2 / 5 Price: For two desserts, 7+ $ each is ridiculous - regardless of size. They need to tone down the portions dramatically, and seriously reexamine the cost of their desserts. I know that they are high-margin items for the restaurant and that it is one of the few places where restaurants make their bankroll - but that price is way out of whack for what you get. Price: 2 / 5 Atmosphere: I like the Chili's environment and décor, but I hate the vibe I get from all of the workers. I don't know if Chili's is just the home of miserable food workers everywhere? Or, if they have very low hiring standards so the mediocre workers and below get hired at Chili's and the good quality workers get picked up by other establishments. Either way, I never feel welcomed or valued when eating here. Atmosphere: 2 / 5 (1 + 1 for décor) Final Thoughts: When I dine at Chili's, I know exactly what to expect, so the crap service no longer affects as much as it used to. So imagine you came to Chili's to watch a basketball game on tv have some food and fun. Well at the BWI Maryland location this is not happening. The bar tender was condescending and my server was slow and told me he had other tables ahead of us. So I am a patient man so I waited. The channel was finally changed to the Washington Wizards game and the server finally brought my drinks only after waiting 10 minutes. But then I had to wait another 20 minutes for a chicken tortilla soup and a side salad with the wrong dressing is unacceptable! Won't return to this location again. I find that my experience with Chilis is usually hit or miss, but we go often because my kids love it (and I live for the chips and salsa). We just moved to the area so we wanted to find one close. I receive coupons all the time and called ahead of time to see if I could use it. The manager Justin said that he would honor it even though to wasn't for his location. That was awesome of him! When we arrived, we spoke with him right away and he informed the waitress of our coupon. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. Our drinks were refilled quickly and food came out in a timely fashion. The food: of course I had the chips and salsa. Perfect as usual. I also ordered the margarita chicken. It was juicy and very flavorful. No complaints. My husband ordered the Cajun chicken pasta. So yesterday I decided to go to @chilis to try their Smokehouse combo, which comes with your choice of two meats, and four standard sides which includes roasted street corn, fries, chile-garlic toast and garlic dill pickles (which I didn't get). I had a taste for ribs, so I decided to try the Texas dry rub ones and their regular BBQ sauce ones too. Both of the ribs were super tender, but the dry rub ones had the best flavor. They probably used a maple rub on them which gave the ribs a smokey sweet taste with a little kick to them. I say stay away from the BBQ sauce ones because the flavor was definitely lacking. All of the sides were good too so no complaints there. However, my overall experience at this particular location was bad. First of all, they sat me down at a dirty table! There were crumbs and dried up sauce everywhere even on the seat. When I ask the guy at the front if he could clean it, he bushed the crumbs of my seat with his HAND (wtf), and he barley wiped my table with his dirty rag with no cleaning solution. Moreover, there was a dirty table next to me that wasn't cleaned for 15 mins after I sat down. My waitress pretty much left me alone after I got my food, and she didn't check on me once after that. I will never go to this Chili's again and I hope you guys don't either. However, if you have a good one in your area I highly recommend the Smokehouse combo. read more

Picked a friend up from the airport and we decided on Chili's Huge mistake. It was lunch time and figured it would be quick and easy. It wasn't quick at all and the place was dirty. We ordered the grilled chicken salad and the sirloin. The salad was swimming in dressing to the point that it was not really enjoyable. The waitress never came back to see how things were. Sirloin was to come with garlic tomatoes but they were out and substituted broccoli which appeared to be frozen upon taste. This was my first visit to a Chili's and I WONT be back. read more

Placed an on-line order (Because who under the age of 35 calls in a to-go these days). One would think when the on-line form asks for the color and make of your vehicle, someone would bring the order to your car when parked in the designated to-go spots. Figured out after waiting 10 minutes in one of those handy to go spots that they do not bring orders to your vehicle. FAIL! This should be noted on the order confirmation or at least on a sign in those designated to go spots. As far as food, It's Chili's, so don't expect much more than average high-calorie sodium filled food. Within 5 or 10 minutes of ordering, the staff managed to pick leftover foods from the garbage and put it on our plates (not literally). The food was either lukewarm or cold. The only Chili's I've been to, but quite possibly the best in the area. Customer service was excellent and the food was great. I ordered the Sirloin with Loaded Mashed Potatoes and Broccoli, steak medium well. The steak was seasoned perfectly and the broccoli was moist. My only complaint would be that the mashed potatoes have chunks of potato in them. Keep up the great work, Chili's! read more
