Well we tried you again. It was another fail. Tried to order soup online and it wouldn't show anywhere on the menu as being available. Only chili was showing as an option. I called the restaurant the girl told me to go ahead and place my to go order with DoorDash and then call back and she would make sure the soup got in that order and she would take my credit card information by phone. Placed my online order called back and the person who was helping me said that I couldn't do that. So I couldn't get my soup. Received our order and got no salad dressings for any of the salads. Called to speak with a manager and sat on hold for over 20 minutes. Never picked up. Then went back online to write a complaint and what do you know, soup had been added back on the menu. If you've ever been to Chili's, you know what to expect. We ended up here after another restaurant cancelled our reservation and closed early and didn't tell anyone. Mmhmm. True story. Anyway, there was 8 of us. NO ONE had any complaint! We were seated quickly. My sirloin was amazing and cooked to perfection. Our waiter was awesome. We stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge half a mile away and are so glad this Chili's was so close. We eat at Chili's a lot in our hometown of Reno and the level of service at this Manteca location was very superior. Came in around 9:10pm for a party of 11. The restaurant closes at 10pm. We were turned away by the hostess. The hostess stated her manager said we could not serve you because the servers were too busy. We also offered to split our able to make it easier. I have never been turned away at a restaurant. However we did land a competent waitress. Then the food came. If you can even describe it as food. My salad dressing looked like snot, and tasted off for blue cheese so of course I did not eat it. My soup came lukewarm as did my husbands. The kids that got burgers barley touched them and said it didn't feel like biting into meat. The kids that got the mac n' cheese (how a professional chef can screw up boxed cheese pasta is beyond me) took maybe 4 bites before pushing it away, and they were starving. We are a large family of 6 and we had 3 extra for my daughters birthday celebration dinner, so spending over $120 for food no one enjoyed on a special birthday dinner is maddening. Tracy, CA is the only Chili's I have been to that was decent. This Manteca location is the best (for lack of a better word) of the worst. Server was rushing the entire time, which made me uncomfortable. We ordered water and when she delivered it she was walking so fast that she slammed the cups on the table and water splashed up and hit me. When my salad arrived the avocado was brown (I almost threw up in my mouth). I pointed it out to the guy who delivered the food and the server and neither was apologetic. But it wasn't their fault, the cook actually allowed it to leave the kitchen. They didn't take the salad back, they just brought me new avocado...ooookay. My son ordered the sliders off the kids menu and they looked and felt like they were zapped in the microwave, along with the cheese that looked like orange glue (it was so over cooked from the microwave). Anyway, I do not recommend this place. I tried to eat the salad but stopped midway. Even though the avocado they brought back wasn't brown, it had a funny taste and I started to become nauseous.
