Yesterday I visited this restaurant. 6/18/2019 My children were very excited to be going, they had asked me all morning. So I gave in to their want, and decided to take them. Upon entering the restaurant, I made eye contact with who I presumed to be a server talking to his table. There were other servers walking around and the restaurant was not crowded at all. It was 4:30 in the afternoon. As I waited patiently to be seated with my children, I made eye contact with another server. No one had approached me to say, "We will be with you in a moment we are a little busy, short staffed"..anything. The man who I made eye contact with continued on with his conversation as if I was not even there. 10 minutes goes by and still no one comes to greet me, or my family. Soon another family of a man, a woman, and their two children walks through the door. They did not have a chance to sit down, let alone take a single breath before a server comes to greet them. The server that I made eye contact with quickly comes over as well as the man who was talking with his customers the whole time. I assumed he was their waiter and the hostess would be out shortly, however that was not the case. The man approaches me and the server quickly whisks away the other family to the seating area in the bar. At this point I am furious because as an African American woman we all face a number of discrimination issues and it is deplorable at this day and age yet it still exist. The family that walked through the door was white and I'm sure they can claim their service was impeccable from the moment they walk through the door. It is unfortunate that the man that I made eye contact with was the manager and after I expressed my disappointment of his terrible customer service I was asked to leave. I have been a server and I currently work with customers daily. What happened to always greet the customer with a smile? Chris Pauley is the manager that made eye contact with me upon my entry into the restaurant. When asked why he allowed me to stand there so long with my children...His reply, "I was talking with my customers!" Bill Hudson apparently has some work cut out for him. My family and I had to travel to Middletown on Monday 6/12/17 and we were utterly disgusted with this place..we arrived at around 7:20 pm, walked across the nasty floors and were seated at a slimy and sticky table and all of the stuff on the table was nasty as well. there was only one waitress working the entire room and it took her over 25 minutes to come and greet us and ask for our drink and food selection.we then waited another 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive.the coffee was brought out, half spilled all over the saucers and there were bloody fingerprints on my saucer.I immediately asked for replacements and then waited another 10 minutes for more cold coffee to show up.they said they ran out of creamers so I asked for milk instead.10 more minutes pass after asking again for the milk, it showed up in a plastic kiddie cup.then my side salad showed up..I could not stand to eat it whilst my wife and children were starving and waiting another 45 minutes had passed and we demanded to speak with a manager. shortly after a man,THE SO CALLED MANAGER,WHO SHALL ONLY BE NAMED TO THE PROPER ESTABLISHMENT OWNERS, came out carrying our tray with the food and tried to act like everything was ok and he had saved the day assuring us he was going to help us.. before he tried to leave he asked if we had anything else he could get us with his snide voice and fake grins. Thats when my wife looked at him and lit his ass up like a Christmas candle..! she told him who he was, how shitty the place was, she showed him the 10 tables that were piled high with trash and not cleaned off for other patrons, and showed him the terrible job they had done cooking and serving and all he kept saying over and over again while she was grilling his ass was.... "well, thank you very much"... he looked at her the whole time with that shitty grin on his face and repeated that phrase about 10 times..I have ZERO patience for facetious people , but,I maintained my composure in front of my children as my wife surely had not..and for good reason..He then tucked his tail between his legs and disappeared into the kitchen and was not seen again..As we were all starving by that time, we reluctantly ate our sad excuse for food and were then once again greeted by the waitress who had somehow managed to comp our bill..I woke up this morning to the worst case of diarrhea I had ever had..!.. I WILL NEVER EVER RETURN OR RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE AT ALL..EVER.. read more

Feeling sorry for the local businesses, I thought I'd give Chili's some love. All of the usual chain resto's have put most of the local places out of business. If the DW and I are looking for a quick bit to eat we will usually go here. Nothing jumps out as a signature dish but the service is good and the food is edible so I can't complain. As an added bonus the bar always has 2 for 1 draft beers and they typically have one of Sams seasonal brews on a rotating tap. read more

Stopped for an early dinner with my husband and 3 of my children. We've had a great experience here before and figured it was a safe choice because of that. How wrong we were! But, before I start harping on the negatives of today's visit, let me state the (very few and far between) pluses of today's visit; they were that we were seated very quickly, the food came out pretty quickly for how busy they were, and the drink I ordered was only $5 (which is actually pretty steep for how gross it was). Now for the negatives: right off the bat, we were told we would have two servers (we ended up with three or four waiting on us). This is not something I've ever encountered anywhere else ever. It makes for plenty of confusion and aggravation. Next, we were seated at a table that had obviously not been wiped down, were given no silverware until ten minutes after we had been there, and had to ask both waitresses for napkins. As far as the food goes, we ordered two appetizers. They were the best part of the entire meal. The dinners we ordered, however, were pretty terrible. My husband and one of my daughters each had a fajita platter- they were both burnt. My son ordered the kids' slider meal and the only thing edible were the french fries. My other daughter had the kids mac and cheese; she took one bite and refused to eat any more of it. I had the full slab of ribs, street corn, and fries. Honestly, the corn was wonderful. The fries were okay, but only okay. The ribs- I had one rib and wouldn't eat another bite. They tasted extremely off, just not right. Additionally, I ordered one drink, a Lucky Jameson. It took 20 minutes to get it to me- I had to remind the waitress three times that I ordered it- and then when I did get it, it was warm and not good at all, and there was something on the bottom of the straw they put into my drink. Lastly, there was obviously an issue with cleanliness today. I'm not sure if it was because the place was so busy or if there is some lack of training or even something else going on, but I have been to Chili's that were much, much cleaner in the past. I'm hoping that this was an off day, but for the $110+ that I paid for everything today I expect much more from a restaurant. I may consider one more try since I've had a positive experience there in the past, but I'm not sure yet. read more

Was in the area because me and my lady are thinking of moving to the area and it was noon we didn't have any breakfast and we were hungry so we decided to eat before we went exploring plus I had a $10 gift card that chilis sent me for one of the most horrendous experiences ever eating out at a different location . I've always had good experiences at chilis before that so I wasn't worried. Place was pretty empty for a Saturday lunch time during college football season but who knows maybe everybody out there goes out on Friday night. Wasn't really checking but place seemed pretty clean. Our server was polite and attentive. Food came out in decent time at a good temperature. The only reason I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars is because I ordered the Cajun chicken pasta which was pasta with alfredo sauce and Cajun flavored chicken which is what it said I was hoping the Alfredo's sauce was mixed with the Cajun chicken giving it a little spicier taste instead it was like one dish on top of another still not bad. Overall I would go to that location again if I lived out there or was in the area or wanted to watch the jets game but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there. Okay. . .just to be clear, this review is for Chili's TAKEOUT service. We're staying in a hotel in Middletown due to the power outage, no cell service, no internet, etc. at our house due to "the big March storm(s) of 2018". We've already had 2 nights of Pressed and Chopped at the gas station which is also a Dunkin' Donuts and convenience store, which is also excellent (a little pricey, but very clean and stocked). Decided to try Chili's Takeout for a change. Went online, ordered online, paid online, got a text to my cell when the order could be picked up (my wife got steak with avocado, I got the buffalo chicken salad). It was ready 20 minutes from the time I clicked "submit order". I texted "here" when I got there and within 30 seconds someone was handing me my order without even getting out of my truck! My wife raved about her food, mine was a decent buffalo chicken salad. . .it's the service that was awesome. . worked flawlessly. . .would do that again in a heartbeat. read more

Always a great meal at this location. The staff is wonderful especially Emily, Darren, and Coleen. We come usually once a week. The point system and e emails give us some special items like deserts or appetizers. Worth a visit if your in the mood for Tex Mex. read more

No matter what I'm craving....caliente, sweet, salty, crunchy, healthy or a combination thereof, I know Chili's can always step up to the plate (pun intended) and satisfy what I am longing for. They have their own take and talent on "comfort food", and the very best Margaritas!!! read more

We don't go to the chain restaurants very often anymore and Chili's style of food isn't among my favorites, but we had a gift card so we decided to drop in on a Thursday evening for dinner. It was busier than I expected for a week day night, but we were seated promptly. Our service was excellent - our waiters (two men working together) were polite and super quick. No complaints at all - our drinks, appetizers and entrees came out fast and hot, and when the tablet you can pay on wasn't working our waiter manually got us the check in literally seconds. So kudos for the awesome service. The food was so so. We ordered skillet queso as an appetizer; the chips were very crispy but a little too oily, and the queso dip tasted good but it didn't seem super fresh - I got the impression it was microwaved. I ordered the big mouth bites and fries as my entree, which were good, but I filled up too much on the appetizer and took most of it home to have for lunch the next day. It didn't reheat very well - the fries were greasy and the mini burgers didn't taste as good, so I probably won't ever take leftovers to go again. I didn't even finish them as my lunch - it gave me a stomach ache. My husband ordered chicken crispers which he said were good, as were his fries, but his corn on the cob was DOUSED in salt and inedible. We have had better experiences here before pertaining to the food, so we will probably be back at some point but it won't be a go-to destination for us to grab a bite. Fun place to go same as any other chain resturnt good pricing and specials on beer

My husband and I decided to order a to-go order. We ordered a very simple meal, two for $22 or whatever it is. No substitutions or anything. My meal was the chicken crispers, the seasonal corn on the cob, and asparagus. We also got the tex mex fries for an app. We ordered about 25 minutes before I got there to pick it up on my way home from work. When I got there I was told I had to wait because they were working on my aspargus still. No problem. I was very patient as the staff in the kitchen kept looking over to see if I was getting upset from the wait, which I was not. It was no big deal. All in all I probably had to wait about 15 minutes for the aspargus, maybe they had to harvest it from a garden first , who knows really. So I leave and make the trek home to where I live in Liberty (40 minutes NW of Middletown - but this is the closest Chilis to us and also between my job and home). My husband unpacks the food while I get settled and I can tell by the pained look on his face that something was wrong. He begins to explain that it appeared that they forgot the main course of my meal, the chicken crispers. Obviously very upset and not wanting to call screaming I had my husband call them. At first they offered to make us fresh chicken and I could go back and get it. My husband explained that we were 40 minutes away and that was simply out of the question. So the manager said he was sorry and that not only would they compensate us for the meal with a gift card but that the next meal would be on them, which I thought was very fair. They took our information and said we should be receiving everything shortly. Well a month later and we haven't gotten a thing. So basically Chili's of Middletown stole my money and didn't give me the food that I ordered. Perhaps if they'd focused more on my actual meal rather than just the stupid side of asparagus I would not be writing this review. Bad service poor food. Close this place down and hire new people and new management. They got my order wrong and acted like it was my fault. It took one hour to get my food which they got wrong and the place wasn't even busy so sad. Food and service was poor. I will not be coming here again. I know that Chili's is a chain, and they are all good, but this one is great! I have been to all the restaurants in Middletown and my friends and I love this one the best. The service is fast, the food is amazing and surprisingly there is little if no wait time. Unlike Texas Roadhose, I'm not too impressed, I don't know why it's so packed there. Every time my friends invite me there and we are waiting I suggest to go to Chili's and when we do everyone thanks me. If you haven't been there, go, especially Fridays it's two for one Margaritas and they taste fantastic! Get some guacamole to go along with it, also fantastic. Food is great, as well! read more

Horrible service. Ordered online. Went in to pick up and was ignored for about 5 minutes, then sent to the bar. Wandered back to pick-up area and was ignored for another 5 minutes. When someone finally acknowledged me, my order still wasn't ready. I watched someone package it and the kitchen looked disgustingly filthy. I will not be returning to the Crystal Run location. They probably cater to the hotel clientele and don't have to worry about repeat business. read more

Terrible !!!!!! The server I had Emily was horrible and had a terrible attitude. I got seated in the bar area even though I strictly asked them not to & my hostess was irritable quick & didn't even talk to us just ushered us to our seat, and rolled her eyes when I asked to not be seated in the bar area. Awful. Stood at the door for 5 minutes and no one ever greeted us so we sat at a booth thinking perhaps that was what we were supposed to do. Sat for another 5 minutes and watched the staff chat at the bar to each other and COMPLETELY ignore us. Servers walked by the table and some dude in a plaid shirt and I made eye contact and he kept yapping away to his coworker and looked away. I work in this industry. Complete BS. We got up and left. Awful service. I've walked in to get a pick up order and stood in front of the counter/bar at the TO GO station for 20 minutes without being acknowledged on two separate occasions. The TO GO meal I ordered was cold each time. The steak tasted like some sort of over-processed, pressed-together deli loaf. I even once received their rendition of a Molten Lava cake, but it was cold with a frozen--yes frozen--chocolate center. Never ceases to disappoint. I won't be returning. read more

I recently moved back to the area and I was totally stoked to see they had put in a Chili's in my absence! I love the salsa at Chili's! My only complaint about this Chili's in particular were the servers. My husband, daughter and I were sitting close to the computer where the servers place orders and the like. The servers were loud and obnoxious. They were talking about some party later that evening and who was going to get with whom, using bad language... and all within the earshot of several patrons! So not pleased with that, BUT the food was great, and the managers did take care of our complaints with the servers. Over all I really like this place. read more

Food was awful. Steak for my fajitas was nothing but fat and gristle. Shrimp and chicken were both overlooked.
