I love Chilis and typically frequent the one in Downtown Chicago, but came to this one since it's pretty close (15 mins) to a movie theatre I've recently discovered. I read the reviews prior to coming and was like huh? It's Chili's it can't be THAT bad. I was right, and wrong as well. The food was superb. You can never really go wrong with the 2/$20 and I typically always get the chicken fajitas anyways, but the service lacked as other people have stated in their reviews. The restaurant was about half full and I want to say we waited 25 mins for our appetizer, and then another 15 or so for our food. 25 minutes to wait for an appetizer is a bit ridiculous, but everything I got was really good. It has a lot of food on it too, so it can be eaten as a meal, in my opinion. I walked out stuffed, but was still thirsty since I had trouble finding my waitress to get a refill. I probably didn't need the extra calories anyways. Would I come back? Probably, but I can say this isn't the best Chilis I've been to. I think the staff need more training. read more

While the food is great, the service is very much lacking. If you order your food to go, whatever you do, do NOT park in the "Chili's To Go" parking lot. They claim you will only wait 10 minutes for your to-go order; however to Chili's, "to-go" means more like 45 minutes or more. I have had to wait for an hour and even up to an hour and a half on occasion to wait for my "to-go" order. While the food is good, the wait isn't worth it, and I haven't eaten at this location in over 5 months due to this fact. The customer service at this Chili's is horrible. When you walk into the place, you have to literally search for a host or hostess yourself. No one greets you when you walk in, and if you walk into the to-go section, forget about it- you are in No Man's Land! I have had to literally go behind the counter and walk into the kitchen and get people's attention, just so I could place an order. When you FINALLY get your take out order, you better make sure that you have everything that you ordered. I once ordered a black bean burger but when I got home I wound up taking a bite out of a BACON burger. This definitely ruined my dining experience as I didn't leave near the Chili's and didn't feel like making the trek all the way back to complain. Instead I called the manager and told him about the problem (I'm a vegetarian so why the heck would they give me the MEAT version when I deliberately ordered the veggie version the menu offered?!). The manager proceeded to tell me that I should have checked my food prior to leaving his establishment. WTF? Really? Then he claimed that he would send me a gift certificate. Mind you, this gift certificate NEVER arrived. When I called and complained about the "missing" gift certificate, I was told to place a new order with a new manager and I would be comped for the total amount that I had spent the night of the "meat" incident. I was truly happy with this, as I had spent about $25 on food just for me and my daughter alone. However, once I got there, the wait for my food was almost interminable (despite the fact that I had called in the order 40 minutes prior to my arrival!!). I've never eaten inside of this establishment, as I've already been screwed over too many times with the take out section, so I couldn't really expound on the dining experience via the inside. But take it from me, ordering take out from this place is so NOT worth it. You're better off running into the Jewel's or Walgreen's next door and getting a microwaveable dinner! I'm placing this review based off of my experience with Chili's To Go. The online ordering system is awesome. You can customize your food to your exact liking. The service when I arrived to pick my food up was excellent. The greeter handled my order and range me up as soon as I walked in. They checked to see if I needed plastic utensils and napkins. I even got signed up for the To Go rewards program, and it was quick and simple. I was awarded 50 points just for signing up. Enough about that, let's get to the food. It was all soooo delicious! Everything was hot and fresh, even after my 15 minute ride home. The quality is wonderful. The tastes are flavorful and delicious. I couldn't be happier that I tried Chili's. I will never refer anyone to this Chilli's location one of the hostess sat a friend and I at a dirty table. I asked if they could clean the table and underneath the table. Her was response was oh our bus boy doesn't clean tables good so I'll jus sit you at a different table. I agreed with the hostess until I seen the next table and it was just as bad as the first 1. This is the worst Chili's ever. It's absolutely not clean. Empty tables have food on them and the seats have food on them. Our server was okay but just okay but the salt and pepper shakers were greasy like someone had just eaten ribs and used them, they slid out of our hands. Their margarita's are way too sweet and definitely from a mix, a waste of money. We love Chili's southwest egg rolls and those are still good (clearly frozen, gonna try and make our own at home) but the lettuce they were served on was limp. Rest of the food is just average, could maybe be better if you weren't sitting there with such an unclean feeling of the surroundings. We tried it twice, won't go back again. We always go to Chili's in the daytime. We always have a nice time. Everything was clean and shiny. Our server was super nice and cool. She came after giving us time to choose drinks, she brought them in a super timely matter. She gave us ample time to order, but it didn't take her a long time to get back to us. Our appetizers were brought out fast, and they were hot and perfectly cooked. She then went and made sure the cook was going swiftly. All our food was served a little bit after we had finished our appetizers. It was all delicious! Four of us, including my 3-year-old nephew, all shared a peanut butter cookie with ice cream and caramel in a skillet. It was delicious! My nephew accidentally burned his little hand on the skillet (we didn't realize it was still hot), and our server was totally cool about it. She got the manager, and they gave him a little first aid. It was nothing serious; he was fine, just a bit shocked, and the staff handled everything professionally and nicely. The manager explained that he has kids, and he understands. My sister was happy with how they handled the situation. My nephew was all smiles in the end. :) We managed to get out and on our way before rush hour, even with the little hand incident. If I could give this place 0 stars... I checked in online to reserve a space in line, was given confirmation of my place in line. Arrived to the restaurant to be told the computer was down so we'd have to wait 20-30 minutes. We were seating quickly. However, the entire restaurant is DISGUSTING!!! The floors are super slippery, & I'm dining with 2 elderly people as well and I almost slipped. The bathroom was horrendous! It appeared as though nobody has paid ANY attention to it all day(paper towels everywhere, NO soap so how can you ensure employees are washing hands?!, toilet paper everywhere, just dirty) we ordered chips & salsa(a staple at chili's) and they were stale! My grandfather had baked potato soup that was served cold! We sat for 15 minutes without fresh chips & salsa & I blame that on the inattentive staff. Our food took over 40 minutes to be served. But our waitress just kept saying, "it's coming right up." Finally, the manager comes & has a smirk the whole time I'm complaining. Our food arrives, cold! Another manager came and helped us out and prepared new food and told me I should've cussed the other manager out?? She ended up comping our entire bill but there such a lack of communication that the waitress came & said, "so how will you be paying?" Ugh, I'm unsure why I do this to myself. Maybe it's because it can be a cheap meal if you have a coupon, maybe it's because they have reasonably priced lunch specials, or maybe it's because I sometimes like greasy food. At any rate, the husband and I visited this "fine" establishment for lunch. The appetizer of cheese curds was surprisingly fresh and tasty. It came with ranch and who doesn't love ranch? I eat at this place about 2-3 times a week with my wife. We love the food and deals at chili's but the service is probably the worst service you will get. Not sure if they're just being lazy or what but it takes 20 minutes for a drink at the bar. The food is never prompt even on slow days. Fool me once....I completely understand that it's hard staffing during the pandemic but I also expect you to set reasonable expectations. I ordered curbside pickup through the app on Friday evening and was told to pick up the order between 7:33 and 7:38. I arrived and checked in at 7:33, I waited in my car for about 25 minutes and went in to see what the problem was. Once inside the first employee I encountered goes to check on my food and says it'll be ready in 5 minutes, the next employee I saw says they have new cooks and everything is backed up, my food will be out shortly. Knowing that people tend to get things to you quickly when you're waiting in front of them I stayed inside, and proceeded to see about 5 orders come out before mine over the next 30 minutes. At that point I had lost my appetite and requested a refund, the manager comes out and says the same thing about having 3 trainees (which I understand) but it makes entirely no sense to wait an hour when the app tells me 15 minutes. The thing is that this was the second time this happened here. A few months ago I placed an order and sat in my car for an hour waiting on it. First time at this Chilis. I have to tell you I was impressed with the portions. We were seated right away, even though they were packed. Our waiter Gabriel was FANTASTIC, professional and polite. We ordered the nachos with all the fix-ens and chicken. I could have been satisfied with just that. We split it and still brought some home. We ordered a house salad with a (to die for) vinaigrette dressing. My husband ordered the ribs with these apples in a cinnamon sauce (put a piece of crust and you have apple pie) and FF. He poured the apples and sauce on his ribs(on top of the BBQ sauce) and was in heaven. I ordered the pick 2...I got the salmon and the sirloin steak. They were both cooked perfectly! And in between there was Gabriel being so attentive to our needs. They have a menu just for the soft drinks. It was wonderful. As soon as my glass was almost empty...there was Gabriel. I noticed what the people around were getting. Tacos seemed very popular. So WHEN we go back and we will, I will ask for Gabriel to be our waiter. And just to say the manager Chris was awesome as well. I did register online with Chilis and received a free appetizer. I would give 5 stars but.... the menus were a little greasy and the bathrooms (which were so very busy) needed some attention. read more

However this most recent trip has turned my opinion of this place completely around. 1st the bathroom was completely trashed, utterly disgusting waste and tissue everywhere, upon entering there was an employee using the washroom they never returned or sent someone to clean it after leaving. 2nd a couple across from us left and doing so spilled napkins drink and some food on the floor.11 times staff members walked passed and over this mess which sat right in front of us in the aisle and believe it or not they had brooms and dustpans in their hands. Understanding it was later in the evening which may have a bearing on it as the manager stated (NOT) employees were gathered in huddles and various groups talking and laughing. The manager made flimsy excuses for not being on top of it and the staff, who still after mentioning it didnt clean the areas but continued to let people in to be seated. I love Chili's... Except for the brisket. Not enough smoke flavor. A little too tough. I don't visit the restaurant often. So when I do I try the new food items. I took my son there for his birthday.
