Chili's did a great job honoring the $3.13 Presidente Margaritas for their birthday on 3-13-18. However, the margarita was a bit weak compared to normal and the bartender waaaay over salted the glass so the salt fell into my margarita and my first glass was really gross and salty. We had a bad experience at Chili's. We waited a long time for chips and salsa, but it did come same time as entrees. Then, my girlfriend ordered Caribbean salad and they gave her Alfredo pasta. 15 minutes later they brought out Caribbean salad, but missing ingredients because they said they were out of mandarin oranges and used spinach in the salad. Upon arrival, 3 people were exiting without masks and not following social distance rule in the doorway area as we tried to enter the restaurant. The hostess was not wearing her PPE (mask) properly (nose not covered) and did not address the crowd of additional people walking in and out without mask on despite there being signs everywhere requiring them. Two people approached us without mask within touching distance to us and our children to ask where line was and had no concern for social distancing nor others safety. No proper table sanitizing while waiting was visible. We did not feel comfortable eating there since it was very obvious the restaurants and customers disregard for public safety during covid-19 pandemic and decided to go elsewhere. read more

I not only want to write a review on the food. Those baby back ribs were delicious. My son had a burger. It was huge. He told me it was the best burger he's ever had and he has had plenty. I want to talk about the waitress and how I observed she took her time talking to everyone. Making everyone feel comfortable. She showed me a picture of her baby. That was a proud young mama. She was polite and very much aware of her customers needs. Table 14 left very happy. My son and I commented in the car how impressed we were with how genuinely kind our waitress was. Food is not fresh and low quality ingredients are used. When I pay high prices for food I expect higher quality and fresh ingredients. Beverages and Drinks had a pre-made in the jug mixed taste. Like the pre-made drink sat inside a jug in a fridge that because it was mixed together all the flavors were lost in the mix. The burger meat had a higher content of fat to meat ratio, meaning that it was low quality selected food to reduce cost, while still charging customers a premium price to eat that shit. Pretty horrible, came here on Veteran's Day, seated rather quickly and that is where the "good" ends. Server took forever to greet us, and then forever to get us our drinks, it was not busy at all, server came to take our order and did not write anything down, and while we talked he looked around confused, in the middle of us ordering he walked away for about two minutes and came back with a pad of paper and tried to guess our order. My water had a hair in it, I brought it to the servers attention and he said "Yep, it sure does" took it away and never came back, no apology, no new water. Also I never got my soup. This restaurant is the worst run and managed restaurant Iv'e ever come across. We had to wait for an hour and seven minutes to be seated. There were many empty tables and lots of people standing waiting to be seated. The manager said he didn't have wait staff to wait on those empty tables. He didn't pitch in to wait on anybody, But I saw plenty of wait staff talking to each other and meetings in the kitchen. I Have been to this chili's many times, but this time made me never want to go back. We sat down and waited 15 minutes for our waitress to take our drink order, and then another 10 minutes to bring them back to take our food order. Another 45 minutes past before the food came out. No refills on drinks, no silverware, and no napkins. The food was good as always, but when I brought attention to the manager about the issues, he was lackluster and did not seem to care. He eventually took off 1/2 of the meal, but we had to wait another 15 minutes for her to bring the check. The waitress proceeded to run my card at the table for the wrong check until I told her it was not right and she had no response. Here is what I like about Chili's. They tend to have consistency in their products and there are two items I really like on their menu. One is the hamburger/cheeseburger with fries. The other is the White Chocolate Lava Cake. I like the cake more because it's very special and I can't find it anywhere. Also, my liking of this cake is probably good evidence that I don't actually have the most sophisticated taste in food. This particular Chili's was really crowded when they first opened but then it calmed down significantly. Now it's pretty manageable. The service when you first walk in is so much less than enthusiastic, which is just totally expected anywhere at the Riverside Mall area. We got kicked out the bar when we had to wait for a table by some really rude waitress or hostess because of our children. Most restaurants do let families hang out at a bar when they are waiting. We were not sitting at the bar, just standing in the area. Anyhow, I always recommend Chili's burgers and the Lava Cake. Maybe it would be better to eat at a Chili's in another neighborhood. read more

I'm placing this review based off of my experience with Chili's To Go. The online ordering system is awesome. You can customize your food to your exact liking. The service when I arrived to pick my food up was excellent. The greeter handled my order and range me up as soon as I walked in. They checked to see if I needed plastic utensils and napkins. I even got signed up for the To Go rewards program, and it was quick and simple. I was awarded 50 points just for signing up. Enough about that, let's get to the food. It was all soooo delicious! Everything was hot and fresh, even after my 15 minute ride home. The quality is wonderful. The tastes are flavorful and delicious. I couldn't be happier that I tried Chili's. I went here for the first time last night with a friend. We orderred the 2 for $20 special 6oz steak with mashed potatoes, broccoli, and a side order. Also had some pints of Sam Adams and Blue Moon. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The food was decent. Was it the best? No, but it was good enough. Keep in mind this is a typical no frills chain. This is the worst Chili's ever. It's absolutely not clean. Empty tables have food on them and the seats have food on them. Our server was okay but just okay but the salt and pepper shakers were greasy like someone had just eaten ribs and used them, they slid out of our hands. Their margarita's are way too sweet and definitely from a mix, a waste of money. We love Chili's southwest egg rolls and those are still good (clearly frozen, gonna try and make our own at home) but the lettuce they were served on was limp. Rest of the food is just average, could maybe be better if you weren't sitting there with such an unclean feeling of the surroundings. We tried it twice, won't go back again. I love Chilis and typically frequent the one in Downtown Chicago, but came to this one since it's pretty close (15 mins) to a movie theatre I've recently discovered. I read the reviews prior to coming and was like huh? It's Chili's it can't be THAT bad. I was right, and wrong as well. The food was superb. You can never really go wrong with the 2/$20 and I typically always get the chicken fajitas anyways, but the service lacked as other people have stated in their reviews. The restaurant was about half full and I want to say we waited 25 mins for our appetizer, and then another 15 or so for our food. 25 minutes to wait for an appetizer is a bit ridiculous, but everything I got was really good. It has a lot of food on it too, so it can be eaten as a meal, in my opinion. I walked out stuffed, but was still thirsty since I had trouble finding my waitress to get a refill. I probably didn't need the extra calories anyways. Would I come back? Probably, but I can say this isn't the best Chilis I've been to. I think the staff need more training. read more
