I haven't been in a Chili's in over 20+ years -- today's visit strength that decision

Our experience tonight was very disappointing. Instead of bringing out all three meals at once, they first sent out my son's chicken tenders without the fries, then came back five or more minutes later with my husband's meal, then came back with my sons fries, then 15-20 minutes later came with my steak. We were never asked how our food was/if we needed anything, we were never given refills on water/drinks, and I had to ask twice just to get some napkins. The second time I asked was because my son spilled ranch on himself and it still took our waitress almost five minutes to bring us napkins. (It was not even remotely busy either). My husband's chicken was dry and tough, my loaded mashed potatoes were gross, and honestly, the best thing I ate was a few of my son's fries. Not planning on going back. read more

Literally the only thing this restaurant is consistent with is never coming to your table. Every. Single. Time-- (since this past summer, once or twice a month) we come here and it takes between 15-20 minutes for anyone to say hello to you, or say they'll be right with you, or grab a drink order. Ridiculous. We are sitting here right now and there's literally nobody in our section. And there's not a server in sight. 15 minutes and counting.... I don't see this place lasting another year. So aggravating and disappointing that Chili's can't get it together. If I could give this place negative stars I would. read more

I have been sitting at my booth for approximately 15 minutes or so and no one came to my table of 5 after sitting us. On top of waiting 45 minutes to an hour when there was no one in the facility. This location has to do a lot better with letting their employees know who they are serving and work on sitting people in a store which has limited people in it but ample sitting area. Even for it being COVID there was more than enough room and tables to sit people not tell everyone 45 minutes to an hour. Once upon a time I really enjoyed hanging out at Chili's. I haven't been in awhile so we decided to stop in for a few drinks & appetizers. We ordered Bloody Mary's & Margaritas and the drinks were all subpar. I'm hoping that it was b/c they were at a discounted rate but moving on. The appetizers we chose were the Southwestern egg rolls, buffalo wings & cheese balls again...meh...the service was...nothing worth mentioning & therefore we ended our venture early, deciding that drinks in the house with DiGiorno was a better way to blow $$ than to continue indulging in a chain that lost it spunk long ago & couldn't have cared less. read more

It was a slow night & we had ordered drinks before our food had arrived. Took until after the food had been finished to even receive them. The waitress barely spoke to us & when our drinks did arrive (after asking about it a couple times & another waiter taking the time to ask us if we were missing anything) the manager brought them out & didn't give any explanation as to why it took 20 + minutes to make three drinks.. read more

Chili's did a great job honoring the $3.13 Presidente Margaritas for their birthday on 3-13-18. However, the margarita was a bit weak compared to normal and the bartender waaaay over salted the glass so the salt fell into my margarita and my first glass was really gross and salty. The server appeared to have a chip on her shoulder our entire dinner. The appetizers were hot and tasty! The entree was room temperature and bland. I would probably go back but to another location, sit at a table in the bar area and only have an appetizer and drink. read more

We had a bad experience at Chili's. We waited a long time for chips and salsa, but it did come same time as entrees. Then, my girlfriend ordered Caribbean salad and they gave her Alfredo pasta. 15 minutes later they brought out Caribbean salad, but missing ingredients because they said they were out of mandarin oranges and used spinach in the salad. So, she decided to order a steak, but by the time it came I was done eating my lunch. We didn't eat together. Disappointing. read more

Food was surprisingly delicious . Just hated the long wait time to dine in. But, understand.

Upon arrival, 3 people were exiting without masks and not following social distance rule in the doorway area as we tried to enter the restaurant. The hostess was not wearing her PPE (mask) properly (nose not covered) and did not address the crowd of additional people walking in and out without mask on despite there being signs everywhere requiring them. Two people approached us without mask within touching distance to us and our children to ask where line was and had no concern for social distancing nor others safety. No proper table sanitizing while waiting was visible. We did not feel comfortable eating there since it was very obvious the restaurants and customers disregard for public safety during covid-19 pandemic and decided to go elsewhere. read more

I not only want to write a review on the food. Those baby back ribs were delicious. My son had a burger. It was huge. He told me it was the best burger he's ever had and he has had plenty. I want to talk about the waitress and how I observed she took her time talking to everyone. Making everyone feel comfortable. She showed me a picture of her baby. That was a proud young mama. She was polite and very much aware of her customers needs. Table 14 left very happy. My son and I commented in the car how impressed we were with how genuinely kind our waitress was. Food is not fresh and low quality ingredients are used. When I pay high prices for food I expect higher quality and fresh ingredients. Beverages and Drinks had a pre-made in the jug mixed taste. Like the pre-made drink sat inside a jug in a fridge that because it was mixed together all the flavors were lost in the mix. The burger meat had a higher content of fat to meat ratio, meaning that it was low quality selected food to reduce cost, while still charging customers a premium price to eat that shit. Chilis gets a one star for over charging and using poor quality ingredients. Disgusting* We expect more from franchised food places. read more

After a number of failed visits (every visit actually), slow/no service, under/over cooked food, etc, we decided to give it another try since- let's face it, the $10 meal deal is awesome! We finally had a successful visit, made especially great because of our server, EZ, who makes the best iced tea! Our meals were good, he was great with refills, and we enjoyed our meals! read more

This Place is not at all what it use to be. The service was horrible! Waited Too long for our food to be served. The place was filthy! Toilet paper , Food and garbage all over the floor. Can see the filthy once you first walk in. Our table was not cleaned of our dishes. So we had no room to eat. Waiters Complaining and swearing as they past by our table. We stopped in for dinner tonight and waited to be seated!!! Just to get a incompetent server by the name Chelsea who first off took a long time to approach our table and then brought us drinks and disappeared again finally came back and took order!! My question is how do Texas cheese fries reach our table first before salads and any silverware or appetizer plates? we have gone here several times because the grandsons like to have their birthday dinners here. however, place has gone down. Went there in the middle of the day 2 weeks ago, for lunch. Server kept disappearing and actually wanted to know whether we wanted change. No way was she getting ALL of that - I had to go to the bar to request stuff. Pretty horrible, came here on Veteran's Day, seated rather quickly and that is where the "good" ends. Server took forever to greet us, and then forever to get us our drinks, it was not busy at all, server came to take our order and did not write anything down, and while we talked he looked around confused, in the middle of us ordering he walked away for about two minutes and came back with a pad of paper and tried to guess our order. My water had a hair in it, I brought it to the servers attention and he said "Yep, it sure does" took it away and never came back, no apology, no new water. Also I never got my soup. A man approached us and asked how everything was I told him the situation and he said he would get the manager and he assured us we would leave happy. What a joke this place is! I've NEVER had such horrible service. Our waitress, if you'd even call her that, COMPLETELY ignored us EVEN though she walked past our table four times. Took her 20 freaking minutes to greet us. The manager brought our margaritas and chips. We dined with fruit flies. And my soup came with a plastic to go spoon. This restaurant is the worst run and managed restaurant Iv'e ever come across. We had to wait for an hour and seven minutes to be seated. There were many empty tables and lots of people standing waiting to be seated. The manager said he didn't have wait staff to wait on those empty tables. He didn't pitch in to wait on anybody, But I saw plenty of wait staff talking to each other and meetings in the kitchen. We sat near the kitchen, where we could hear wait staff cursing in the kitchen. Beatrice was the only waitress who stopped at our table and asked if we had been waited on, when we said no, she waited on us. She is the best waitress they've got. We had to wait between 20 to 30 minutes to get our order, Beatrice said the kitchen was backed up, she gave us chips n salsa on the house. She really was considerate. read more

What a joke. After waiting over 20 min to sit we finally got a table. We were greeted within 10 min. Gave order and waited another 20 min with no drinks no nothing. Our server did come back and tell us 2x that there were no chips or American cheese. We just left. Half the restaurant was empty. I Have been to this chili's many times, but this time made me never want to go back. We sat down and waited 15 minutes for our waitress to take our drink order, and then another 10 minutes to bring them back to take our food order. Another 45 minutes past before the food came out. No refills on drinks, no silverware, and no napkins. The food was good as always, but when I brought attention to the manager about the issues, he was lackluster and did not seem to care. He eventually took off 1/2 of the meal, but we had to wait another 15 minutes for her to bring the check. The waitress proceeded to run my card at the table for the wrong check until I told her it was not right and she had no response. The servers at Chilies' in North Riverside are under paid. The do wonderful work serving the people. However, when I was there several times. I noticed that a of certain customers are very demanding AND DO NOT LEAVE A TIP!!!! Do these people realize that these servers are paid below minimum wage and rely on tips? Here is what I like about Chili's. They tend to have consistency in their products and there are two items I really like on their menu. One is the hamburger/cheeseburger with fries. The other is the White Chocolate Lava Cake. I like the cake more because it's very special and I can't find it anywhere. Also, my liking of this cake is probably good evidence that I don't actually have the most sophisticated taste in food. This particular Chili's was really crowded when they first opened but then it calmed down significantly. Now it's pretty manageable. The service when you first walk in is so much less than enthusiastic, which is just totally expected anywhere at the Riverside Mall area. We got kicked out the bar when we had to wait for a table by some really rude waitress or hostess because of our children. Most restaurants do let families hang out at a bar when they are waiting. We were not sitting at the bar, just standing in the area. Anyhow, I always recommend Chili's burgers and the Lava Cake. Maybe it would be better to eat at a Chili's in another neighborhood. read more

I went here for the first time last night with a friend. We orderred the 2 for $20 special 6oz steak with mashed potatoes, broccoli, and a side order. Also had some pints of Sam Adams and Blue Moon. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The food was decent. Was it the best? No, but it was good enough. Keep in mind this is a typical no frills chain. If you're expecting gourmet meals this isn't the place. However, if you're looking for a night out in the neighborhood it's ok. The place is clean and we got good service. read more

It cried to whole damn time. The food was average. We went to go eat the food and my girl friend noticed that her fork and knife were so dirty. It's like they didn't wash them.
