I went with 3 other guest. We were seated in a back both We had a waitress named Adena. the service was not good, more importantly we were there an hr, ordered food (2 separate parties arrived ordered and ate) and WE NEVER received our food. The waitress eventually came around to apologize and said "management made her close a table first and forgot" spoke to the manager she had Adena come back to apologize and that was it. Went here last night for dinner and got the 3/$10 with chips and salsa (which is always a good choice) and chicken crispers with fries and corn and also got the chili. The chili was extremely greasy (normally is not) and my corn arrived cold with a frozen cob. The service was slow with server only stoping by about every 15 minutes. Other food was good. Ordered southwestern egg rolls as a take out order. There is day and night difference between the two franchise chili's locations for the same order. We always go to chili's on university ave and we always used to order egg rolls and they are delicious, so put in the same order. The same order at paradise valley location was fat egg rolls with sour taste and with no flavor. Just change the chef and learn how to do properly and train the chefs first. This is the first time I've had an issue with this location and it was quite the experience. So uh don't do any food delivery service or takeout from here. Ever. We among MANY others have waited well OVER an hour and a half and barely any apology. No explanation at all. Just waving people off saying cancel the order go do what you want it's going to take another 30-60 minutes for the order on top of the 20-40 you've already waited. Not sure how knowing it's a holiday and not being properly staffed went overlooked but it's honestly ridiculous. I know how the food industry works so typically I'm very patient and understanding in these situations when the situation is explained. All three or four employees working weren't exactly nice except for one and I'm pretty sure it was the cook who was running food at that point for a short period of time. (considering they waved customers off and ignored them) and never offered an explanation for this situation. Order at your own risk. Hopefully you catch them on a better day. read more

We've actually enjoyed our visits here but today was horrible. You think sitting in the bar where its less crazy would be a good idea, however not the case tonight. The bartender should have asked for help but instead did not. We saw him write down some orders but decided he would try to take our order and memorize it and to no surprise got it wrong. Ordered 2 of the trio fajitas with steak,, chicken, and shrimp and got all steak. When tried to get him to correct it, instead of offering to remake it all decided to bring cold chicken and shrimp instead oh yea and only one plate of shrimp. Could not even get my drink order correct even after repeating it to me. And trying to speak to a manager was even worse, they were too busy. The food at this location is good; however, the online ordering and curbside pickup is terrible. 2 out of 3 times we've used it, our order was not ready until at least ten minutes past the pickup window given on the app. The phone number is on the order. A courtesy call can be given if they're running behind. Instead, when you call to find out what's going on, the staff is rude. It's not like the pandemic just started. They've had 9 months to adapt to pandemic protocols and get used to online/curbside orders. There are other restaurants that are handling this well that we will be frequenting from now on. My family went in at about 8:00pm on the 4th of July. I'm a restaurant worker (I've served, cooked and managed) and could tell that they were busier than expected, but it didn't effect our service at all. This was because the manager was present the entire time, and was talking to all the guests, running food, running drinks and even dropping checks so guests wouldn't notice that the server was stretched. This is the kind of manager I am, and the kind of manager I seek out when job hunting. The food was wonderful, they were accommodating to my dietary needs, and we had a great time chatting with the manager. His name escapes me, but he has an awesome Dark Mark tattoo. Not sure if it's due to the pandemic, labor shortage or what, but our dinner here was pretty awful. Both my husband and my meals tasted really bad. My steak had zero flavor, the broccoli just tasted like it was put in the microwave for a minute, and the loaded mashed potatoes were yuck. The ribs were not good and my husband's beer was flat. We had a high chair for our little one and it was covered in slimy food on the seat, and the bottom of my plate was also covered in grime when it came out. More than half the restaurant seats were closed. Definitely won't be back. read more

Yesterday I brought my 84 year old grandma out for dinner since she was having a rough day. The manager Jeff saw her struggling to cut up her steak and even though it was a busy night he came over and cut it up for her. We dined at this Chili's tonight after the on one Bell was having some supply chain issues. Tatum was our server and I just wanted to say how awesome she was. She made sure to tell us about the charity they were doing (unfortunately, we didn't donate, but she told us about it and that's the important part), and she let us order off the secret menu which I know can be annoying. The staff in the kitchen was newer so I guess they weren't familiar with this particular secret menu item so Tatum had to contact some coworkers to find out how to make it. I'd say that's going above and beyond for the guest. Overall, she was great and definitely made our night. Hard to find great service these days, so thanks Tatum! read more

Pre-Covid we would frequent Chili's monthly and it's one of our favorite places to eat. We have been doing a lot of delivery, but dined in tonight and had THE BEST experience. We were greeted by a ray of sunshine and her name was Marcee. She made us feel like family and was super attentive the entire time. Drink refills were flowing, she brought our appetizer and dinner out quickly. She went above and beyond to figure out if a new item on the menu has dairy.. we were fully prepared to dig in as we didn't think the mango sauce had dairy, but she kept digging and researching and ultimately found out it DOES have dairy. Ive never had anyone go to such lengths to confirm. We also found out they're hiring and are in need of great new servers, so apply if you're looking for work. Hopefully Marcee trains the new staff!!! She definitely sets the standard for how guests should be treated. Thank you Marcee and Chili's for a great evening. read more

Had to change previous 2 star review to 1 star. Service was bad. Food not so great either. Server argued about taking our order with another waitress. We waited for her to sweep her section before coming over to take order (20 mins). Brought food and drinks, but that was it. Had to get up and ask greeter for iced tea refill and daughter never got her refill. Had to ask another person after waiting 30 mins for the check. Fajitas where mostly oiled onions. Chicken was soft but over time got to be rubbery. Went to support their commitment to Pediatric Cancer and St Jude's (my son current fighter). She didn't take out donation or allow us to buy the St Jude fundraiser items... I was in such a hurry to get out... I even forgot. Been to other locations, with great food and service. Ok so I'll start off with this is not my choice but my picky toddlers love their chicken and fries so on nights I don't want to fuss we will come here that's usually once a week or every other week. They brought out our entrees and we said um we never received our chips and salsa the manager was one who brought us our food he said oh I'm sorry we can bag it up for you to bring home ? Um no we're hungry that's why we ordered an appetizer ? My husband and I took our first bite of food and the chicken was not edible meanwhile our daughter started feeling ill and we needed to get the heck out of here we told the waitress to cancel the dessert that's our daughter was ill and needed to leave. I took my daughter outside to get some fresh air 15 min later !!!! My son and husband come out. For our troubles the have us a whopping $5 discount are you freaking kidding me I say ? We never got our appetizer or dessert ? My kids did eat though before getting sick. We get home I called and spoke to Ryan the same guy who brought our entrees I explained I was not happy about the situation after spending over $60 and not being given out appetizer / dessert and our food not being touched I was Cleary not happy his solution besides apologizing because they where short staffed and he had to come in on his day off that they will give us $10 off of be out guest coupons next time we come in. WTF happened to Chili's? I used to frequent the one on Mill Ave for lunch because they were fast and the food was usually pretty decent. Don't get me wrong, I'm not talking gourmet or healthy, but it at least tasted decent. We went to this location for dinner the other night and it was absolutely horrible. The service was incredibly slow, we ordered and it took over an hour and a game of chase with our waitress to finally get our food. We complained to her about the wait and she offered no apology. When we finally did get our food it was cold.. Not luke warm, but cold. In addition to that, the famous Southwestern Eggrolls were a soggy mess. I rarely complain to a manager but this situation warranted a big complaint. The manager was nice and gave us 20% off the bill and a free gross dessert to go. We ended up pitching it in the trash, it was completely inedible. Chili's you have officially made the Blacklist. read more

Chili's is one of the restaurants that I will eat at that is a chain restaurant. The reason why is because every time I eat here I know that food will be good. We came here with my nephews and my niece a couple of weeks ago. The service was awesome; they kept being soda for the kids and our food come out really quick. I have to admit...for some reason I really like Chili's. Out of all the similar American chain restaurants, Chili's is my fave. I was tempted by all the bad choices on the menu, but somehow I was able to be good and ordered the Guiltless Chicken Sandwich. It was surprisingly decent, but I'm sure no comparison to say, those buffalo chicken sliders with fries and onion strings. No that I would know. My sandwich came with some pretty good black beans that tasted barbeque-y and broccoli that was seriously good. I wonder what they put on it... probably FAT. Just kidding. Sorta. Anyhoo, it was pretty busy at lunchtime so we sat at the bar and the poor waiter dude looked kinda overwhelmed so service was a little lacking. I understand restaurants get busy but then it's a waitresses job to politely apologize versus being rude. So naturally I signed up for the deal and then we were off to chilli's for some dinner. Along with the Queso...which my wife had...I ordered the fried cheese for our other appetizer. I had the Crispy honey chipotle Chicken Crispers with Fries and Corn on the Cob....while my wife had the Chicken Quesadillas with fresh tortillas. Sat in the bar and had chips and salsa along with an Arnold Palmer. Took 10 minutes for the server to recognize I was there. Food took forever and she forget the AP and brought water instead. I had to remind her that I wanted an AP to drink. I waited another 5 minutes for her to come back so I could get a straw, but she was waiting on other people. I got up and went to the bar and got my own straw. Service continued to be slow. Place was understaffed and I never did see a manager. Not a good experience. Recently made a visit to this particular Chili's to take advantage of the $20 meal for 2 deal. Even though you getting a good deal on the food the restaurant raises prices on other items in order to break even. For example a small drink in the bar was $8!! The food items on the $20 meal deal are sub standard at best. I had the baby back ribs (totally dried out) and the wife had chicken crispers (very greasy and no taste at all). The corn on the cob with the chicken dinner was ICE COLD and had to have it sent back to the kitchen to be replaced. One more side note, on the way to the restroom, walked past the kitchen, and the kitchen looked like a someone lost in a food fight as there were food scraps littered on the floor throughout the kitchen area. I always had good experiences at Chili's over the past 20 years. The experience I had with the most recent visit it will be a very long time before I step foot into another Chili's establishment. read more

Umm this is chili's so I'm not sure that there's much to say that people woudn't already know. They are all the same, and the employee turnover is probably fast enough to make specific reviews meaningless. However, I will say the reason that I'm giving this one bonus stars is cause they let my puppy in! It may have had something to do with it being an odd time of day, and pretty empty, but I asked the manager if they could accommodate a dog, and they said yes as long as we sat at a corner table.
