Cheba Hut is easily one of my favorite sandwich spots. The sandwiches are always fresh, loaded with quality ingredients, and packed with flavor. The toasted bread makes a huge difference, and there are plenty of options to choose from whether you're in the mood for something classic or more unique. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is laid-back, and the service is quick even when they're busy. If you're looking for a great sandwich and a cool place to grab a bite, Cheba Hut is definitely worth checking out. I'll definitely be back! Visited this location recently and ordered an 8" Kali Mist. Unfortunately, the sandwich was extremely underwhelming. The turkey portion was shockingly small--there appeared to be only a couple thin slices of meat on the entire sandwich. Based on the menu description and price, I expected turkey to be the main ingredient, but the sandwich was mostly lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and bread. I've eaten plenty of sandwiches from various chains, and this was by far one of the lightest protein portions I've received. The flavor was fine, but it's hard to justify the cost when the sandwich feels under-portioned. I attached a photo because I genuinely thought there had to be a mistake. I haven't had Cheba Hut in years, so I was excited to stumble upon this location in a reasonable radius from where I was housesitting. I ordered online and got a medium "the Kind" which is a turkey/bacon/mushroom sandwich. However, I omitted the mushrooms. I also ordered an appetizer of the pretzel bites. My food was waiting for me at the pickup shelf at the promised time and was nice and hot even when I got home. I was disappointed to see that the pretzel bites were missing their side of honey mustard, as I was looking forward to that. However, the sandwich was good and the bread was even better. I cannot get enough of this sandwich. The Fungus Among Us, from Cheba Huts secret menu. It's the best. I get it on the garlic bread with jalepeno cream cheese. It's got enough kick without kicking out the flavor of everything else. And there is nothing better than a toasted sandwich! (or grilled, but that's another review!) The Tractor hibiscus tea is perfectly sweet. My dining partner loves the kool-aid. What kid wouldn't love to have one of these in the kitchen? It's been years since I've eaten at a Cheba Hut, but I turned around real quick when I passed this one on Scottsdale just north of the 101. When did this arrive?! It's a great location with a patio outside and a bar inside. Ordering at Cheba Hut makes me simultaneously blush and smile. Everything is named with Marijuana slang/lingo (this was a shock to me back in my naive 20s when I first ate at a Cheba Hut ). After reading stickers in the bathroom, I also came to the realization that my friend's chameleon, Nugz, is named after weed ( the more you know) Choose your size: Nug, Pinner, or Blunt and then your sandwich and bread. I grabbed a Kali Mist (spicy club) on garlic bread and got my husband a Pakalolo Blunt (ham, swiss, pineapple). I didn't need more carbs, but I couldn't pass on trying pretzel nuggets. Cheba hut is one of my favorite sandwich shops. Definitely my favorite in Arizona. Love their garlic and herb bread and everything is so fresh and unique. You can get a 4" sub, 8 inch, or footlong. I was looking for something quick in between appointments and noticed their sign. I personally hate this parking lot - it's tight and you have to do a weird jog to get into the front parking area. The shop is super cool - I love the casual setting and wall art. I ordered a small Pakaloola - ham, pineapple, cheese and yummy sauce. Overall, it was a really good sandwich, but $15.99 for a 12inch is a steep price for the size. I will also say, my friends who ordered different sandwiches will not be coming back. Gone are the days of getting your money's worth for food apparently. I ordered a 4" Nugg Italian just to try out the food at Scottsdale location. Results were two slices of salami, one slice of ham some lettuce and cheese: $7.55 w/tax. I doubt the sandwich was even 3" (see photo), none the less even 4" is just ripoff. Why can't they just make a 5 or 6" for reasonable price. I can get the Italian nightclub at Jimmy Johns toasted for $8, with 400% more meat and cheese. Disappointed. read more

Overall they have really good sandwiches but I had ordered two different kinds online one was supposed to be without tomatoes and had them all over the sandwich and the other was supposed to have cucumbers and banana peppers and had none. I had pretty big corporate lunch order that the website wouldn't accept. After multiple tries, I called Cheba Hut and spoke with Jayden, General Manager of the store. He was so patient and helpful with a happy personality. He took each order (19 of them!) over the phone with names, etc. Not once did he get frustrated. He was the consummate professional and helped ease my anxiety of getting the order placed the morning of the meeting - with only 1 hour notice! The order was absolutely perfect, and everyone enjoyed their food during our corporate retreat.
