I know this is a small thing, but it makes me so happy. I want you to take a trip with me in your minds...to the bathroom (get yer head out of the gutter! I'm goin' somewhere with this!). You wash your hands, throw away the paper towel, and wait...what's this? The door pulls in? Darn. Now you grab another paper towel, or if you like me, you use your sleeve, and pull open the door, all while precariously balancing the door on your foot. The bathroom door IS one of the dirties places in the bathroom after all! But here in the magical land of Chili's...the DOOR PUSHES OUT!!! I know. Simple things. OK so I move on from the bathroom now. I really like the décor here, it's kind of fun and funky. The bartenders were on top of their stuff, and seemed like they have been working together for a while. But the menu leaves something to be desired for a meatless diet. I did like the texas cheese fries minus the bacon though! I would be willing to try something else here no problem. And if they added meatless options, I would give them their fifth star. As we were looking at our menus for 20 mins we watched all the tables around us being cleaned in an empty restaurant, about 3 or 4 staff members standing around joking with each other. After the 20 mins of waiting at our table without being waited on we left. This location is a joke. I thought my last experience here was bad but at least I got waited on that time. Always been a hit or miss here. Sometimes everything is great, and sometimes the whole order is wrong or raw....(this has happened more than I'd like to admit.) It was just SO bad. 10 mins before the waitress comes over, 20 mins of our drinks sitting at the service bar before she brought them, we never got the water we asked for (3 times), 30 additional mins before she brings me the wrong order, which is both cold AND burnt at the same time, which is a clear indication that the kitchen and then the waitress forgot about you. I didn't eat a bite, she comes by and clears the dishes so quick and doesn't ask if everything is okay. It was almost astonishingly bad, so bad that I can't even use punctuation I'm so frustrated. I was one of her 2 tables. I will never return, chilis we know you're a chain and won't go out of business, but Plainville chilis is one of those ones riding the coat tails of the better locations, have some dignity in what you're offering. read more

On your mark get set terrible.... got carside to go and food was right on time.... but when I returned home with my girlfriend was disappointed as soon as I opened the box. The sandwich I got was horrible and I substituted my fries for onion rings which I received a total of three. My girlfriends nachos mine as well been some dog food. Our server greeted us warmly by announcing he'd be "taking great care of us" and taking our drink orders... and that's the last we saw of him. My wife got her drink (someone else brought it) but I never got mine, he never came back to take a food order, and after about 20-30 minutes of waiting, we gave up and left. read more

Only go here occasionally because it's so close. The drinks are alright. Everyone should know what to expect from the menu - burgers, ribs, lots of fried stuff. Everything will taste good for the first half, then grow tiresome for the second half. By the time you're done you'll be questioning your reasoning for going in the first place. my boyfriend and i got called racial slurs by one of their regulars and the man was given no real consequences. as soon as he did, i went up to the host, who sent our server over. she slid in and proceeded to make excuses, "oh he's a vet, he kinda just says whatever like he's called me a b**ch before so like just ignore him." or something along those lines. she made it very clear that he sits there, harasses, and calls people names, so why in the world would you continue to allow him back in? when i made it clear to her that what he called us was a lot more than just a little swear, she got the manager on duty. he was a man of color himself, so i was really disappointed when he really didn't show much concern for the situation. he was basically like "yeah that sucks we'll probably kick him out...do you want a discount?" like no?? i just wanted them to know who they were serving, and to protect other people of color. We were in the parking lot for a while before we left and didn't see him leave. our server came out again to check on us because at that point i was in tears, and once again tried to compare being called the n word to being called a b, and that she has cape verdian family so she gets it. it seemed like she was trying to come from a good place, but alot of what she said came off as very tone def and uneducated about social issues such as this. so if you're a poc, stay away. even if you aren't, why would you want to support an establishment who allows their staff to be verbally abused by some alcoholic vet? read more

I headed up this way looking to do some shopping at Target and TJ Maxx in this 'Plainville Commons' Shopping Center. Now, Chili's is not really a place I go to all that often. There are two locations close to my house, both great, and both convenient spots that after this great experience, I will be visiting much more often. First impressions of the Plainville location were weird. The layout of the exterior is weird. The parking lot is on the side of the building and the storefront faces Taunton Street, even though I feel it would have been more ideal for the restaurant to be set back and facing the parking lot, so people wouldn't have to walk around the building. There is also a to-go entrance. The interior is very clean. When walking in, it was remodeled, clean, and not busy what-so-ever. Host and waitress both very friendly and happy. Food (I ordered a cheeseburger) was delicious, flavorful, and filling. And they have those cool tablets where you can order drink refills, dessert, and pay by credit. Great idea and great restaurant, without any complaints. I will be most definitely visiting this Chili's and my nearby Chili's locations, both in East Walpole and Dedham, much more often. 5 stars. read more

I have been to this location several times. My recent visit was just blah. Food was blah, service was blah. I have never been wowed here either but at least it was not blah. Burgers were just blah thrown together. Fries were over-cooked and cold. Got salad and the lettuce was more brown than not. Atmosphere was blah. She sat us and we patiently waited for at least 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order. By this time we already knew what we were going to order. I haven't had great luck at this location in the past, but it seems to be improving. Went there last night for a drink and to order takeout. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly and quickly made our drinks. I ordered the presidente margarita and it was nothing special, not necessarily the bartender's fault as corporate chains have strict recipes. our take out took about 25 minutes. The big mouth bites were delicious. The ribs however were nothing great. very little meat on them and a bit dried out. The only reason I didn't give two stars was because of the service. read more

I use to be a huge fan of chilis but this is my 3rd bad experience at one. They put the orders in now through ipads that the waitress has. Apparently our order didn't go through and we ended up waiting an hour for our food. People who got there after us left before because their food came out asap. Out waitress starts out by coming to our table and leaving right away cause she had to cough. She seemed like she really enjoyed happy hour there cause she messed everything up and could barely stand. She actually sat down next to be for a little while to catch her breath. This used to be a good Chilli's. My impression is that the management has changed. I received the wrong side dish the other night and it took three tries to get the correct one delivered to my table. All of this included the involvement of the manager. While I will continue to dine at Chili's I will not be dining at Chilli's in Plainville. read more

I always enjoy going to this chilies but I must say after how slow the dinner service was on Saturday night I'll never go back on a weekend unless it's for lunch. We tend to get the dinner and drinks for $35 which think is a very good deal for the amount of food you get. I've never had a single problem with the food, it's always quite delicious. The drinks are quite good as well. Although I was very upset to find out they stopped serving the Blue Raspberry Coronarita, it was my absolute favorite there. read more

I was going to do the survey online, but considering the server cut off the code on my receipt I can't do that now. So here I am. I decided to take my girlfriend and her friend out yesterday, and it all seemed to start off well. Until we asked our terrible server (doreena) about what she had on tap, which she had absolutely no clue about. Shortly after that, we placed our orders. I asked for a side of onion rings with my burger as well as fries, and sure enough I got two small onion rings on the side of my plate which were supposed to come on the burger. I let it go, considering it was busy and I didn't feel like waiting again for my food to come out. I even had to ask three times for my extra side of bbq sauce because she just blantly forgot. To top all that off, half way through my burger I find a long piece of hair in my burger. Ew. Absolutely gross. Asked for the manager to come over, and he assured me everyone wears hair nets back there and that he was sorry and would take my burger off the bill. He was the only good experience I had from this night (I wish I knew his name). So we get the receipt from our server and she comes back and takes the gift card and money on the table. 2 minutes later, a different server comes out and says (oh your server said thank you) since when does another server come over and bring us our change and receipt? I've never had that happen, but you could clearly tell doreena was in a bad mood or had an attitude or something. I was very displeased with the service we got and my girlfriend and friend both said she was a terrible server. So if you want to have an awful experience, I'd recommend plainville chili's. Or you could just go to another chili's and hope to get someone better than her. Maybe chili's should train their servers on how to be friendly and actually know their menu/beer list. read more

I have always really enjoyed Chili's, preferring it over many other chain restaurants. Despite their food being good here, the service it AWFUL. On several occasions, I have ordered Chili's to go, come to pick up my food, and wait a half hour without even being helped despite employees being aware that I am there. If you want to spend 3 hours at dinner, waiting for food, come here. Otherwise, I would advise finding somewhere else. read more

This was the worst restaurant experience Ive ever endured from a food quality standpoint. We ordered lunch during a very slow day. Not many patrons in the restaurant at all. All the food we ordered was not fresh, looked old and reheated, so salty It was inedible. Go anywhere else but to the Chilis in Plainville. I wish I took the time to read the other yelp reviews before I wasted my hard earned money on food I wouldn't feed my dog. Run don't walk from this awful establishment. read more

As far as convenient food restaurants go, I'm a big fan of Chili's because they have a pretty healthy menu if that's what you're looking for. The staff in Plainville are really friendly! If you sit at the bar, Kelly is a fun person to chat with. The place always looks clean and well run! read more

I have been coming to this Chilis location several times a month for the past few years every Friday at the same time. The food has also been excellent and the service always great. The past few times I came here, it seems something has changed. I have never had to wait to be seated. My last few visits, I was told the wait was 20 minutes, and actually had to wait 50 minutes to be seated. Our waitress/waiter both times was also extremely rude And unfriendly. I don't know if it is this new "ziosk" thing, but it seemed the restaurant was understaffed each time. I hope chilis doesn't plan on replacing some of the staff with this thing. It's nice to reorder drinks on this "screen" but otherwise it's A waste and I do not want this huge screen on my dinner table when dining out. We had an excellent meal and great service. It is Saturday night so we did wait about 30 minutes but once we where seated the service was prompt, the drinks were cold, the food was hot and delicious. We ordered bacon cheese burgers and they all came out cooked to order. The clam chowder was creamy and full of clams, the burgers were juicy and the fries crispy and hot. We all agree we will go back and try the ribs, tacos, burritos, margaritas... Excellent and comfortable, clean tables, floors and booths... Great! read more

The worst dining experience of my life. Let me explain. My mom and I walked in and were expecting a wait my the look of line. We walked in and realized there were at least 15 available seats but such a big wait 30-40 min. Since we were hungry we waited and because of the wait we were able to look around the place. It was very dirty and looked like it needed a remodel. The bathrooms were disgusting as well.Finally we heard the beautiful of words of Mia party of two. We sat down and the only good part of our experience arrived, the waitress. She was nice and she let us order really quick but food took forever. The food was not good and my moms soup was very cold. I sadly just left and spent money at this location. Me and my family walked in and asked politely for a booth, The hostess immediately snapped back very rudely and said no and that it would be a long wait. Understandably we sat down at a table and watched the next people who came in after us less than five minutes later sit at the booth that we asked for. Trying to let that go, me and my family all order drinks, my husband and I order alcohol and it doesn't come until 15 minutes after all the other drinks are served. We watched it sit at the bar soaking in all the ice. Trying to also let that go, my husband ordered food and everything was wrong. He specifically ordered the honey chipotle crispy chicken tenders, and the food comes back with the original tendies. The food he ordered was wrong, ans trying to also let that go, he never got his blackberry iced tea, and hadd to repeat himself for some ranch dressing, like really you forget the ranch????? Trying to let that go, Later on it's took us literally 20 minutes to pay the check. Very disapointed. It would have been okay if the staff seemed to care, but they obviously did not.
