I love this place, cause it's cheap and good. Has that comfort food that always satisfies. One of my favorites is the chicken-fried stead with mashed potatoes and corn on the cob. As Expected except for service. I had one of the texmex bowls, it was very good and they were quite generous with the chicken. I sat at the bar and the service was very slow. Took my son here for his 10th birthday dinner. Our waitress Maria took our orders without even looking at any of us or smiling. She put the food on the table and left still without saying anything or making eye contact. Still not one smile. It was obvious my sons food had been microwaved to the point that it all stuck together and was hard. I ordered a buffalo chicken salad and for some reason it was too salty to eat. I don't even know how you make a salad salty. The waitress never came back to check on us. Finally she saw my full plate at the end of the table and asked if I wanted it to go. I haven't been to Chili's since about 2011, and the one time I go to one I have the weirdest experience of my life. My friend from out of town chose the restaurant, and mind you he barely knows the area like I do. We didn't wait TOO long to be seated, so that's good. The waitress was lovely, she was so kind and patiently waited for all of us to order our food. So that's that. That was the only good thing about the place, and we didn't wait too long for food. Two issues though, I thought the food was not that great, but it was a good improvement from LAST time. The salad was fresh, but I felt that it was prepackaged. It's unfortunate that I have to take time from my busy schedule to form a complaint about my recent visit to chili's. I am extremely dissatisfied with the service that I have been receiving from the plantation location. Today's visit was the straw that broke the camel's back. To being my issue is the timing in which I always have to wait on my food, this is NOT the first or second time that this has happened, it is becoming a habitual offense, If my order is scheduled for pick up at 12;30PM if I arrive at 12:40PM my order should be ready or coming, I use a 15 minute break to go get my lunch as the location is less than 5 minutes from my job! My company and colleagues patronize your establishment on a regular and it is not fair to us! In addition to waiting the orders are sometimes incorrect. Please take this matter into consideration to coach and develop you chilis team members on the importance of Time as everyone's time is of the essences. I hope to see a change at this location, so we can continue to enjoy our food while doing it in a timely manner. read more

This was not a good day for this Chilis. When we arrived, the hostess asked if we'd like to sit in the bar area because they had free chips and salsa. We asked if we could have a booth and were told to sit wherever we wanted. Except, there were no clean booths. In fact, the tables were all dirty. So was the floor. After a long wait, a waitress finally came asked if we wanted chips and salsa and took our drink order. After another long wait, chips and salsa along with our drinks arrived. We had to ask for plates, something I would assume would be a no brainier. Our order was taken and the food came out without incident. Nothing special, but exactly what I would expect from a chain such as this. During our meal, there was an incident at the front door. Two young women were having an argument with an employee about which I have no idea. One of the women was getting in the employee's face and talking trash. It was quite a scene. And it was loud. Other employees starting coming out of the kitchen and from other areas of the restaurant to see what was going on. Finally a patron at the bar called the police. They took some statements and left without any further excitement. My wife and I waited again for quite some time before the waitress finally came over and asked me if I knew how to work the machine on the table. This apparently is how you pay now. I would give this experience 1/2 a star if I could based on the fact that the food was edible. Otherwise, there was nothing else redeeming about our visit. read more

I have eaten here many times and cannot believe how quickly this location has deteriorated. My husband were greeted, not asked if we wanted chips, ordered drinks, but were told the bar was backed up (even though it appeared a bar tender was out talking with friends). So we asked for water, when the waiter returned it was with our drinks (beer & wine), never received any water. We ordered, my dinner was delivered by the bartender, but was incorrect - ordered prime rib/chicken fajitas & got prime rib & shrimp;OK mistakes happen. Husband's ribs came out barely warm with mushy broccoli. When my fajitas were finally delivered, they were burnt and had no tortillas. They did not replace all the steak as the waiter said they would, but just added chicken and reheated - would have been bad if I were allergic to shrimp!! Husband is now feeling ill after sampling my plate (and he is allergic to shrimp). This is not the first bad meal I've ever had, but it is the first review I have ever written - which should say a whole lot. Needless to say, we couldn't get out of there fast enough!! The service was great, unfortunately, the food was over cooked and seem as if it had been sitting under heat lamps for a while, or possibly heated in a microwave! NO BUENO!!!!! I tried to call and speak with the manager, being in the food service industry myself, however she was no help at all. I have always loved Chili's, my parents used to take me when I was three years old. However, there is something about this location that is making never want to go to Chili's ever again. I never like to make a fuss at restaurants, especially because I work at a restaurant. That being said, there is nothing more frustrating than getting horrible service that would never pass at my restaurant. I guess with 2 for $20s and $5 drinks, you really do get what you pay for. The last time I came here I ordered steak medium rare, and it come out well-done. I was with a large group of people so I sucked it up and just ate it. However, this time around I went with rare hoping it would come out medium and it came out well done. So, I sent it back. This left me waiting for my food while my friends were eating. Very annoying. After waiting 20+ minutes for food, I had to wait again. Then, the manager came by and did a poor job of handling the situation. To be honest, I lost my appetite. And I didn't even want the steak the gave me in the end, which was purple, and cold. Not rare, more like, not cooked. I never try to go to restaurants and get a free meal OR complain but it was terrible customer service to make me pay for that. I work at the Cheesecake Factory and that would NEVER happen. A free cheesecake would have least been offered. Our motto is to always make sure the guest leaves happy. Clearly that was not the managers concern. Aside from the issue with my food, the drinks took very long to get to the table. My friends and I figured that the waitress forgot and sure enough, I went to the bathroom and saw our drinks melting at the bar. We had to remind the server to bring them to us. What makes me the most angry is we rated our experience as poor and the manager came by to ask why. Like seriously? He could not have figured it was something to do with our food coming out wrong?!?
