I haven't been here in years - I came here with my boss and coworkers because her son's baseball team was doing a promotion where they would get 15% of the sales. We got seated right away had an extremely nice waitress who is very attentive and personable. While at the table I had looked up ( I like to see how clean - or unclean - light fixtures and items hung above are when I go to places) I found it interesting that the light fixtures were real colored glasses turned upside down on top of lightbulbs. Back to the food: I had ordered the Mango-Chile chicken which is a grilled chicken breast seasoned with 6-pepper blend, drizzled with spicy habanero mango glaze & topped with chopped mango, cilantro, house-made pico de gallo & fresh diced sliced avocado. Served with citrus-chile rice & steamed broccoli. (510 cal) I ordered the the glaze on the side as I like to be able to somewhat control the amount of extra heat in my meals. Unfortunately, I did not think to take a picture of it until I was done but I will say it was a very flavorful and very filling meal and for $10 it was well worth it. For dessert, the four of us ordered the molten chocolate cake which is chocolate cake with a melted chocolate center topped with vanilla ice cream & a thin chocolate shell. It was plenty for all of us and at 1150 cal, I am glad we shared! I've been to this particular branch numerous times, but this time wasn't a pleasant experience. I had trouble with the menu, so I placed my order online and called the restaurant to make sure they had it correct. I ordered the margarita chicken and wanted ONLY the chicken. I called and clarified that I was only interested in chicken. I got the food with Spanish rice and limes (not on the side). I also waited in the designated to-go spot for 5+ minutes without anyone coming out. I called the clerk and she asked me which spot I'm in, came out with no greeting and snatched my card and told me to have a good one. Not even sure why I tipped. But many of these chain restaurants have eliminated items they once prepared fresh for some bulk frozen supply chain mass-produced something or other that makes its way to your plate. The rice is very hard, the fries were old and fried with old oil. The lemon-pepper was too sour and over-seasoned. Overall, it was terrible.

I stopped in and was impressed. Jose the bartender is amazing. This beautiful daqueri hit thr spot when its so hot outside. He is super friendly and cares to make all the customers happy. I went to dinner last night and this place is dirty, the service is awful and the food wasn't edible. I ordered the quesadilla explosion salad, no grilled chicken, they put the chicken on (sending it back isn't possible because kitchens hate that and these teenagers probably would have spit on it or worse, so o picked it off the cheese on the quesadilla was cold, they used the core part of the lettuce which is difficult to eat, the server slammed the broken order tablet on the table and wouldn't just take our order, stay away. We were on the home stretch after an 11-hour drive, but couldn't wait to get to Truckee to eat, so we decided to grab dinner in Reno. I've never been a big fan, especially of the locations near me in Oregon, but this spot was just what we needed. After a long drive, a Cadillac margarita tastes so fine. And it was great for the kids to have about 12 options to choose from, plus multiple sides and drinks. I tried something new, a salad called the Quesadilla Explosion and it was great. Husband had the steak fajita pita and would get it again. Favorite part was probably dipping fries in Ranch sauce. We were total glutons, but hey it's our vacation. It was a Saturday night and this place was jam packed. We were greeted and seated immediately. This location has a western motif and lots of flat screen TVs in the bar area. There were some mild delays in service, but the server regularly checked in and apologized for the wait. Chili's will never be a five in my book, but this time it really hit the spot. read more

I think that the recent local movement that Reno has had is spoiling me. Chain restaurants like Chili's certainly seem to be going downhill while more local restaurants are on the rise. At my most recent visit here, the service was mediocre for a non-busy night and the food wasn't quite up to par. The appetizer was overcooked and the tilapia I had for the main meal was kind of soggy. Chili's is fine for a chain restaurant and an average dining experience but if you're just visiting Reno, I highly recommend checking out our local offerings. read more

What can I say, it's Chili's. Out of the trinity of the Franchise family restaurants ( Applebee's, Denys, and chili's) chili's is the best. The food was ok, but I got a bad stomach ace after. I found a the portions are big and very affordable. I will say this the staff was fantastic and friendly. Service with a smile 101 folks. The place was nice, but didn't really have anything special about it, or anything that really popped out as unique, but wasn't expecting anything extraordinary either. CUSTOMER SERVICE = 4.5 Stars The guy who was our server was nice and attentive, and was always ready to answer any questions about the menu, or the drinks we ordered. Our server showed his personality (something I look for) rather than being a monotoned brick wall. Was really nice and even had some fun banter throughout the dinner. FOOD = 3 Stars The food was more or less average. I got the Trio Fajitas (Grilled Chicken, Grilled Steak, & Prime Rib) and it tasted great, but was only given 4 small tortillas, which sadly wasn't really even, especially when having all the stuffings I did. The meat was seasoned well, but the steak was a little more chewy than I would had wanted. Also ordered the Presidente Margarita, and was severely disappointed. Last time I came here it was new on the menu and tasted awesome (stole it from my friend), but now they have it "On Tap" and it's not as great. My friend this time around, however, got the Vodka Rita, and it was amazing! Normally hate vodka, but it tasted like lemonade. That drink is deadly for sure! ATMOSPHERE = 3 Stars Nice and calming, but when it comes to chain restaurant, there normally isn't anything extraordinary or special about the place. Was pretty average, they had some music in the background, but even with how empty the place was (maybe 5-7 other tables when we arrived), I had to strain to hear the music when a good song came on. However, the place was clean, and the food came out super fast (within 10 minutes of ordering). FINAL THOUGHTS Overall, nice place to come to if you want a simple dinner, with a quiet and calming atmosphere. But if you're looking for a little more excitement, maybe go to a restaurant that isn't a chain. My co-worker buddy and I decided last minute to come here for lunch a few days ago. Lunch was super quick and delicious. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Salad which was delicious. I chose for my dressing to be tossed with the salad. She ordered the Quesadilla Explosion Salad which looked amazing with the yummy cheesy quesadillas on the side. She really enjoyed it. Service was excellent. Our server was extremely kind and funny and offered some amazing suggestions when I asked for her help to decide what I wanted to order. She was very attentive and came back to check on us often and make us laugh. I don't get out to this side of town or this location often but now that I know it's a pretty quick trip on the freeway from work I may come her for lunch more often. read more

The menu claimed the meat fell off the bone easily, but my set of ribs did not do that. Went here last night with a few friends to take advantage of happy hour drinks. One is a rewards member, which allows for free chips and salsa every visit. The chips were warm and light, making me eat way more than I probably should have, especially after getting a second round of them! I got a couple cherry margaritas, the special of the month, for only $5 each. They had a great balance of sour and sweet. Since it was dinner time, we all decided to order some food to split as well. I got the honey-chipotle boneless wings, which came with ranch and 2 celery spears. They were okay. The crispy cheddar bites were super good and addictive (probably thanks to the influence of margaritas). For $3, can't beat that. The service was great, and our waters were refilled often. I don't eat at chain restaurants often, but Chili's is great for happy hour drinks and appetizers. read more

If I were writing a review just for the lunch I would probably give 5 stars. The little lunch deal they have (soup or salad and a small lunch sized entree) is perfect, great price and reasonable lunch size. And I sincerely love the Chicken Enchilada soup, crazy good! I never pay much attention to the service during lunch because I go with my friend usually, and we are in a hurry so she can get back to work and they usually get us in an out within 30 minutes, and we use the machine provided on the table to make a payment. For the two of us, it's usually under $15 and even fast food really doesn't compare for price to food ratio. And then there's everything else. Go here any time but a weekday at noon and it is busy and disorganized. I have never had a dinner entree I enjoyed enough to have twice. But believe me I've been back plenty of times. It seems with every family get together, work event, friend's birthday, they all only agree on Chili's. So, I go back and try something new. I've had the steak (so dry and overpriced) the ribs (I thought this was supposed to be "their thing", my mistake) countless varieties of Mexican food and other entrees. I"m always disappointed. I don't like being disappointed.... it disappoints me. Hence the 3 stars. I really must emphasize that I will be back for lunch because it's awesome and dinner because someone will make me. I'm pretty disappointed that I got off a 13hr shift at the hospital, picked up some to-go food for the family to get home and find out that my order was completely wrong. I received dip without chips and my chicken sandwich was smothered in blue cheese when I had asked for them to hold that. I called back to let them know in hopes that they get there stuff together for the next customer. There's no way I could go back to correct my order so it is what it is but Eli continued to make excuses as to why the order was messed up. I'm annoyed. And unhappy. Went to CHILIs last night ..... under staffed as heck . I understand understaffing. Got our chips and dips way after our main meal ..... only because I asked . Chips were OLD tasting. Got my ice tea with no ice . Asked for ketchup .... gave me an empty bottle. I am not making it up ...... litterly an empty bottle. Waited about 10-15 mins to track down another waiter/waitress to get me some ketchup. Fries cold now. I guess the dude was a night manager and happened to ask me kindly ..... " if everything was OK?". I just said ...... " I want some ketchup". Apologized and had to fill a bottle with ketchup. Asked the same guy for a spoon ....... his answer..... "we dont give out spoons ..... company policy" WTF?????! I-loved this place before the pandemic !!!! What a joke this was !!!! Unreal ....... but true story! I've never left a review on Yelp before but I was so disappointed tonight. It was my bday. I ordered a cocktail from my server even before the rest of my party arrived. When our food finally arrived, I still had no drink. our sever apologized saying the bartender was super busy. when I looked toward the bar, there was nobody behind the bar and no one sitting at the bar. The servers and bartender were gathered talking and laughing. I canceled my drink and finished my meal. It shouldn't take an hour to get a drink from the bar. I rarely go to chilis, I feel there are better restaurants to go to. We were in the area and after reading that some of the other food places around still weren't allowing dine in we decided to go since the price would've been about the same as some fast food places nowadays. We were seated immediately and was greeted by our server about 10 minutes later. The guy seemed nice, don't remember what his name was. We get the 3 for $10.99 deal and decide to spend the few dollars for for the dip trio. We barely had time to enjoy chips and dip when our food came out. It's nice that we don't have to wait long for our food but at least wait 15 minutes so people can actually attempt to eat their appetizers. We were checked on once right after our food came out and that was it. We needed more drink refills but our server was no where to be found. He finally came back out and was being a social butterfly sitting at a couple of the tables for at least 10 minutes each. I had planned on taking our chips and dip home since we barely touched it, along with my daughters food that she didn't finish. After about 10 minutes of waiting for him to come at least refill our drinks and bring boxes, we gave up on a drink refill and paid our bill on the kiosk at our table so we can just hurry and go once we boxed everything up...still no server.. my husband wanted to just leave right then but I wanted to wait a few more minutes since I didn't want the food to go to waste. 10 minutes later and him not even looking at his other tables I gave up once he moved to a different table to take orders as I knew he'd be there for a while. Don't bother trying to get anyone else's attention, it's like they know not to make eye contact with tables that aren't theirs so they don't have to help. We had an excellent meal here last week. We walked in at 6pm and were seated within 5 minutes. We noticed immediately the place had tons of young families like ours eating in our general area. The servers were fast, attentive, and friendly. Our waitress helped make suggestions for the kids meal (cheesy pasta and chicken) that was easily more than enough for them to share. She also kindly brought an applejuice for each of the kids even though they were sharing their meal. My oldtimer burger was delicious as always. The fries were super tasty. It was an alright visit. The service was pretty good, Sean was very attentive. I got the fried pickles which were a bit to greasy for my taste to actually eat.
