First time going to chili's and Wow, that's all I can say is wow. Chili's ranch dressing is probably to die for. As soon as I got my food I took a fry and dipped it into the ranch not expecting my mouth to EXPLODE with flavor. It about brought tears to my eyes. I INSTANTLY took the rest of my food (chicken crispers, and corn on the cob) and dipped it into the ranch. If anything, chili's is worth going to just for their ranch dressing. First and last visit. Yesterday, around 1-ish, we 4 went for lunch. Two meals arrived, then 2 came on tray and dropped with a crash. Clean up was slow, clumsy and awkward - like they've never before dealt with such a thing. Took forever and dealt with by 2-3 people at their convenience. Finally, replacements were brought as 2 of us were well into our meals. No visit from manager and invoice showed no compensation for the upset. I spoke up to our waiter about that and, after query to one manager then another, was told we could have a free dessert. Thanks for nothing. We were more than ready to leave the chaos by that time. Won't return. Food wasn't that great anyway, tho nachos were pretty good. When things go awry, look to management. Yesterday's mid-day period was above their capability. read more

After a play at Rockford Univ. 3 of us (women) decided to go out for supper at Chili's. My two friends ordered prime rib burritos and I ordered beef enchiladas. Our meal took a long time and the waitress told us there had been a delay. The manager Raphael Gonzalez delivered our meals and again apologized for the delay. About a third of the way through the meal my friends realized that they had chicken burritos, not prime rib. We told the waitress, she apologized and said the manager Mr. Gonzalez would be out to talk to us. He explained that there had been a mix-up, my meal had been made first and sat so long that it needed to be remade to come out with their meals. He comped all of our meals, had the kitchen make two prime rib burritos for them "to go" and gave each of us $10 in gift certificates so we would come back again. He is definitely an asset to the Chili's company. Thank you Mr. Gonzalez for turning a bad experience into a good one. We will be back. read more

I was not happy with the food. Service was great. But i ordered a steak medium and came well done sent it back. While waitting i was nibbling on my fries and onion rings. Had a very very bitter taste to it as it was super old oil or somwthing. Theee fore i complained explaining to the manager my problems i had and she decided to subtract15$ witch was ok. And i thank her but then i lost my appetite. As soon as i left i had a smoke and still had a lingering bitterness to my. Tastebuds. I generally am ok with the food but today ate the cake where i shall.not be visiting chilis on state st anytime soon. Again service was great cooks are horrible. Ordered fajitas and the ingredients were old and crusty as if they filled the little cups in the morning and left them in the fridge all day uncovered until someone ordered it. I am surprised this location has such bad reviews! I ordered Chili's To Go for the second time and the girl over the phone was really nice and helpful! They always give me an accurate pick up time too! We ordered two $10 Three for Me deals with one appetizer a salad with French dressing on the side and the other chips and salsa. The entrees we both opted for the Half Rack Baby Back Ribs and the deal comes with dessert! Upon arrival we were greeted cheerfully by Tayden (a really great server) and they did run out of French dressing for the salad but the manager or head server came out to suggest a substitute or at least inform me which I thought was super nice! My experiences with Chili's have always been good. My boyfriend and I go to Chili's almost every time he gets paid. I would highly recommend going there. Their appetizers always get out fast. Their entrees are always delicious and are at a good price. And I can never not help my self to their delicious desserts. read more

Well we're do I start... Daughter, grandson and I got there around 7:30 pm. Slow night, we ordered steak and cheese nachos with jalapeños for me, and steak cheese queso nachos for the two of them and a side do chips and salsa for the table.... Nachos came out, both orders wrong, waiter took them back, replaced them and still both orders wrong.... Manager came over and started arguing with my daughter telling her special orders screw with the cooks... Lol... So my daughter said, "so it's my fault?" The manager said his cooks don't do special orders well... I said ok, I will pay for the chips and salsa and one order of crap nachos, which I did. Do not get the smothered smoked chicken burrito. It is 95% rice. There is more chicken on one wing than there is In this burrito. I am not sure if this is the standard Chilis recipe or the local Managment. Chips and salsa were solid though. read more

Went friend and I went there for lunch today I got a salad and a half of a sandwich and he got a steak waited 30 minutes to get our food my sandwich was toasted way too much and the turkey on the sandwich wasn't even actually on the sandwich.Service general was slow. I heard the people behind us complain that they waited 1 hour for their food I saw other people getting up and grabbing their own to-go boxes had it been a Chili's in a long time and don't plan on going back. read more

We hadn't been to Chilis on State St for a couple years and probably wouldn't have gone there for dinner except that we were blessed with a Holiday gift card. Our first observation was that the floors were littered with food garbage...it appeared somebody tossed their salad on the floor and patrons walked on it throughout the day grinding it to "slaw"! Although it wasn't extremely cold outside...with the carry-out doors opening and closing we were'nt the only ones forced to eat with our winter coats on. The place is brightly lit...kinda reminded us of a Van Galder bus terminal. Although the staff was hospitable...wait times were extensive and service seemed chaotic. Although the food was ok...the overall experience wasn't worth the price. Sorry, but I dont think we'll ever return! read more

Well let me just say that the service I received today was beyond horrible. I don't even remember the name of the waitress but she wasn't friendly nor did she have a care in the world. I had to get up and ask for another silverware for the table because it was two of us dining, we had to ask her to remove the dishes, and after removing the dishes she never came back, not even to drop the fucking check. I had to get up and ask another server to pay for our check so we could leave and my server walked up and you would think she would want to take care of it so she could greet us goodbye but no.... she let the other server take care of it.....totally disappointed in the service and being a server myself it was just a fucked up experience. The manager gave me and my friend 10 dollar coupons to come back to eat but I think I will just give them away because I would hate to run into that same weak ass server. read more

My family and I frequent the Chilis in Rockford, IL. as it's our favorite place to dine. Everyone is always as friendly as can be and I have never had a bad experience. I've tried practically everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. However, because I love everything so much it's hard to decide what to order. LOL. I always leave feeling extremely satisfied, knowing I not only provided a great meal for my family but didn't go broke when doing so. My sister and mother attend this nice surrounding at least twice a month in Rockford IL, to enjoy the reasonable priced lunch. We absolutely love the service,sometimes being African American we are not always served correctly,but we have never came acrossed this treatment at Chilis, we give you guys 6 thumbs up for the great food and service. The food is always good, my favorite is the CLASSIC TURKEY SANDWICH for lunch, the portions are perfect, especially when you are watching your figure. Keep up the good work guys! read more

We usually go to the mâchésney park location, just a few miles away. I now know why we do ! 1st had to wait 10 min before we were even offered a glass a water . We ordered the $35 dinner for 2 and had a coupon for a free appetizer which we get & use often at other locations with no problem. We presented the coupon to our waitress & she stated she could not accept it, because it states on it not valid for the 2 for $20 meal. WE DIDNT ORDER THE 2 FOR $20! WE ORDERED THE 2 FOR $35! She then stated let me check with my manager. ( Please do ) The manager comes over to us & says " you guys have a question? ". Don't you think the waitress should have briefed him on what was going on?? She stated SHE was going to talk to him. NOT send him over to us. We simply showed him the coupon & stated we ordered the 2 for $35, so whats the problem..... This so called "manager" stated he understood where we were coming from BUT we already get a appetizer & dessert with our meal. OK AND SO ?????? ( If we didn't want a second appetizer, we wouldn't be going threw this ridiculous drama ) After making a scene for a good 5 min, this "Manager" rudely said " fine, what do you want for your 2nd appetizer" while looking at us up and down as if we didn't need anymore food. What he does next just blows my mind! HE personally goes and get us the chips & salsa & brings it to us NOT EVEN half filled!! Seriously looked like it was someones left overs!!
