The quality of food has steadily gone downhill. The salsa had zero green in it, no peppers, no herbs, just tomatoes and onions and I believe I tasted garlic salt or powder. The original Queso is just the pits. Is that real meat? Real cheese? I wonder. The fresh, warm chocolate chip cookie topped with a scoop of ice cream, drizzled with fudge had been baked hours before we arrived. A dry, crisp, cold cookie in a hot pan. :( Such a disappointment. Has gone way downhill since we started going there for ribs a long time ago! All the very good help is gone. My husband and I both used the bathroom at different times during our visit today. There was a terrible odor in the bathroom hallway. We both noticed the terrible smell! There were two employees standing in the hall talking when I tried to get past them to use the bathroom, and neither of them would move! They both just looked at me like I was an inconvenience! Got back to the table and I told my husband to get the bill and let's get out of here! we decided as we were walking out that we would not be returning. As far as the food goes, the full rack of ribs has definitely gone down in size. The mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese were cold. I was meeting my cousin for dinner 5pm on a Thursday ..: FIST FIGHT almost broke out in FRONT of my table!!! Curse words were flying !! There was a family (with kids) behind me and two "ladies" on the other side of me. They must have been exchanging words through their dinner. I got seated at the end and al of a sudden the ladies where in front of my table saying curse words and in each other face. No employees in sight! I called for manager and he meekly came out. This chilis is very nice when you dine in.. however if you place yourself a Doordash order or a regular pick up order for some reason THEY ARE ALWAYS BACKED UPPPPPPPPPP. The To Go chilis needs to hire people that actually move with a purpose and answer the phone when it's ringing. They barely be in the front when you arrive at the to go area. We're always having to wait because I believe the kitchen pushes the online orders to the side and just focus on the dine in.... If they're dining in they're not in no type of rush but if you need to pick up a order just know you're going to be waiting. read more

I've been here a couple of times now and the only thing I really like about it is the Foursquare check in deal where they give you chips and salsa. Needless to say this time I checked out the nachos and was not impressed. It was literally 12 chips. Seriously, 12! They didn't even give me enough toppings to cover half of them either. Hey where's the salsa? It sure wasn't on my plate. The one plus on that plate was that they covered it in real cheese. But guess what, if the chip isn't firm, it isn't going to hold anything. Mine were floppy. I picked it up and it just sagged over, like a limp noodle. On a side note, when I ask for sour cream on the side, I meant the side and not the middle of the plate. Servers have been nothing but polite and I tend to avoid rush times, so I've never had to wait to be seated. I enjoy how flavorful my food always is. As far as chain restaurants go, Chile's is my favorite. They always seem to be right on track with the latest trends unlike some of the others like them. My girlfriend and I decided on the 2 for $20 dinner which comes with an appetizer and 2 meals. For our appetizer was got the chips & salsa. They used to be addicting... and they still are. They're bottomless and it's a good thing. You'll end up getting a few refills. I got the 6 oz sirloin which came with broccoli and loaded mashed potatoes. The steak itself was excellent. I asked for it medium-rare and actually got it that way! It was very tender and juicy. Definitely a great steak for a chain. The mashed potatoes were fine. Nothing too exciting to say. They were generic. The broccoli was blanched but seasoned nicely. All in all, not a bad place to grab a quick dinner that doesn't break the bank but still has some flavor to it. read more

The dressing on the sirloin and grilled avocado was acerbic, didn't really complement the steak or salad. The fajita dish was better tasting and the grilled peppers tasted great, but again, disappointing portion. You would expect the portion to be larger since we went there like an hour before closing, but I guess not. Overall, the portion was a little small for its price. 2/5 Stars First off my Service was a "meh" because the waitress that we had switched 3 times, and I was super confused on who was actually taking my order and the person who sat us down and delivered out our food, and even the person with the check was someone different. They came to refill our drinks around every ten minutes, and we requested refills through the device at the table. The wait for our food was 24 Minutes and 32 Seconds, and we had to wait to order our food for probably almost 5 minutes. Food; Me and my buddies all got different meals, and I definitely have to say that the Chips and Salsa are just complete garbage, the salsa is watered down, and only good to eat with around 10 chips, and the chips were complete garbage. You could probably find better chips at your local corner store 100% The Fries aren't even salted nicely ( I understand there's salt but besides the point), and I'd say around 15% of them between the 4 people were burnt. My Burger in my opinion was actually quite decent probably a 3.50/5.00 . But the Chicken Tenders (basically) were super dry, and not greatly seasoned as well. The store presentation was decent actually from the outside, and the inside was alright with cushion seats and wooden tables with ketchup and Salt on the side. I didn't know at first that the menu's were on the side of the table, and that would've been nice to know, but it is kinda my fault. The tables took a while to get cleaned, maybe around 5 minutes to clear the table and maybe longer to wipe it down. From the people I saw cleaning they rushed the cleaning just to make it look like, but it wasn't the best cleaning they could've done. Overall if there was .1 to .9 scaling, I would give this Chili's a 2.3/5.0, it really needs improvement of employee communication skills, and their general knowledge of the store and menu together. read more

OK, had Chili's in Maplewood and told a friend how great their fajitas were. Was 11am on a Sunday morning so we decided to get lunch there. I had the Ultimate bacon cheeseburger and she had the fajitas that I told her were so good. There were not more than 10 customers in the whole restaurant and half were at the bar. When we entered, there was nobody to seat us for a couple minutes although I seen a bartender, 3 waitresses and what looked like a manager who finally came to seat us. The wait staff was slow to take our order. The waitress came to order drinks right away, dropped off my soda and said the straws were in the silverware bag. There was no straw in the bag. She returned a couple minutes later and I told her there were no straws in the bags. She returned with straws. The food arrived and my hamburger was OK, not Red Robin quality but OK. Her fajitas were seriously burnt, BUT by the time we got visited again by the waitress, she was hungry and ate the burnt fajitas. She didn't want to wait for them to cook a new batch all over again. This was a bummer of a visit to Chili's and probably wont go there again. It was bad to have the burnt charcoal-like taste in her mouth for the next hour or so. Sorry, 1st time visitor will not darken Chili's door again. read more

We arrived at 8:30 pm on Fri night to a half full store with no wait. Lucky us!!! The hostess went to see if she could find a booth (we wanted a table) and started walking away from us when my husband called after her that he would rather have a table. She didn't hear him so her off-work coworker who was sitting up front chatting with her called after her for us. She found a table but rather than come back to the front to bring us to it she waived us over and pointed to the table she wanted us to sit at. If she had actually walked to the table herself, she would have seen it was dirty. Wearing all white, I was less than thrilled but figured the server would be right over and could fix it for us. After all, everyone around us had their food....they would be out soon. Tick tock tick tick...nope. Staff looked at us, not touching anything and clearly uncomfortable, and walked away. Cleared a neighboring table but ignored us. We left and the off work employee said good bye to us while he manager held the door. I told him that we were leaving because of the dirty table and no service. He said, "Sorry about that." He didn't offer to make it right. He didn't ask us to stay. He just held the door. Farewell Chili's! I think we have grown apart in our experience expectations. I miss who you were, still enjoy your food but can find it elsewhere. read more

I don't know what happened this Chili's use to be so Good!! We ordered food online and had it delivered by Grubhub. The Bacon Burger was only cooked on one side so the inside was raw. We decided to dine in so we went there last night and sat in the bar area. The waiter was extremely busy! I ordered a coke and got diet coke. I had the Barbeque Ribs and they were horrible and COLD!! The waiter never came over and asked how the food was so I didn't get a chance to tell him. I filled up on French fries, chips and salsa and was hungry an hour after I got home. This Chili's used to be at the top of our list for frequent lunch orders. They changed their menu a bit, and adjusted portions of what the boss likes to eat (salmon and chicken) to be waaaaay too small, so we've moved on to different, greener pastures. Like most Chili's, this one has decent food, big portions for the price on everything except the aforementioned salmon and chicken. It's a cookie cutter restaurant - nothing special. Today, I was charged with lunch pick up duties for the office, and Chili's was the pick. I came in through the separate "To Go" entrance and stood at the desk where I could see my food waiting. Three employees looked me in the eye, looked down at the floor, and walked past without so much as saying hi or "someone will be right with you". I think I waited at least three minutes before an employee acknowledged my presence. I was not impressed. The lady who finally said hi had to go get a different gentleman - presumably the person running the take out desk, or quite possibly the manager. They were friendly enough, but seemed rushed and tired...not super excited to see anyone. On the whole, this is somewhere we will come again. Their menu is wide and varied, so it's sure to please most of the office most of the time. The staff needs a little attitude adjustment, or at least a pot of coffee. Their VIP ordering club is nice - $25 rewards on future orders for frequent diners. Sweet. read more

I don't normally write reviews for chain type of restaurants but I need to write about our nice Waiter we had today. Today I met my niece for lunch and we had the nicest Waiter ever! He was attentive, personable, and seemed like he really cared if our food was served perfectly and our drinks were full. My niece and I both are saucy type of girls so there is always alot of extras with our orders and he got it all spot-on. We also talk nonstop like two high school teenagers and he seemed to time perfectly when to check in on us. Thinking back on my many visits here, most of them happy hour visits, our service always is pretty good and the food is consistent. You know what you are going to get. I think the lunch specials are really good, I love the chicken enchilada soup. If you subscribe to their club online, you will also get coupons for free entrees and/or appetizers once in a while. read more

I'm giving Chili's a 5 star because frankly it is the only chain restaurant of this style that we frequent anymore. Chili's manages to keep the american food good and fattening without tasting like everything just came out of the freezer. Although I know that it just came out of the freezer, I appreciate that Chili's never spoils. The service is always really friendly and fast, and the smells that come from the building lures my nose and appetite in every time. You can't beat the 2 for $20 deal either.. we always leave full and satisfied. Down with Applebee's & TGIFriday's! I'm voting Chili's in the 2012 election. read more

This location had seated us and our server came to us 10 minutes later for drinks. She had then said she would be right back for food and did not come back to take our order for 20 minutes. We were 2 minutes from leaving. We saw the food runners more then our server and had to ask the FR to get us refills because we could never track down our waitress. Finally we were ready to leave and the server walked past us 3 times, never said a word. We tried to pay on the kiosk and there was other people's orders on our tab. After fixing it 3 times, the bill was still incorrect so we just paid in left. Will never be returning to this location read more

Stopped by last Saturday for lunch. As you walk up to the door, you notice that the outside is in need of repair. Inside, several of the floor tiles had deep gouges in them (it would seem if someone stepped the wrong way in one of those holes they could hurt themselves). I ordered chicken/steak fajita combination. The food was fine, but my charger plate had dried beans and cheese on it. My husband's tray was very warped and probably should be destroyed.
