Great place for late dinner since they open till 11pm on weekdays. Mango chili chicken was very good and one of the more healthier options on their menu. It comes with brocolli, rice, and avocado. The skillet chocolate chip cookle was very sweet but good. it's a warm cookie with chocolate drizzle and large scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. I'm very happy with the overall food selection, the qualify, and the service, the waitress was fast to take our order, bring out the food, and refill our drinks. The service was good. Although the food is not what it used to be. I got a bacon burger. Chilis used to have the best burgers in town. I haven't been here in awhile and the quality of food has went completely downhill. My mom got a chicken Caesar salad. At one time they used fresh chicken and was grilled. Not anymore I guess. I have been to this location several times and have not yet been disappointed. The staff is friendly and I've never had an incorrect order. It is located by the recently close Kmart on Dale Mabry, across from Ray Jay Stadium. I have never been here at an uncomfortably busy time and there is usually room at the bar. I enjoy sitting in the bar area and have never had bad service. If you sit at the tables, you can basically serve and pay solo with the tablet style table top kiosks. Plenty of TVs if you want to watch sports. The food has always been consistent here. I recently ordered the nachos (with beef) as my meal on a Sunday night. These nachos are individually topped and are soooo filling! The ribs, burgers and salads have never done me wrong. The servers are friendly and attentive. If you're looking for a late night nosh spot, I would recommend this Chili's location. Parking isn't difficult and the location is convenient. Yeap 2 stars! Located on Dale Mabry, just few blocks away from the stadium. We sat at the bar tonite, few booths were available. The menus were sticky which is such a weird feeling. You always wonder why it's so sticky lol. Few drops of hand sanitizer and I was ready to eat. We opted for the 2 for $20. Panko onion rings for app and Cajun pasta and fajita for entrees. I really wished they offered a heathy non-fried option for apps. Side salad or hummus and veggies would've been perfect. Onion rings were good, didn't taste any spice. The entrees were ok. Chicken fajita was just thrown in with onions and peppers in their steaming skillet (wished onions had more charred flavor). Not much flavor even with all the fixings. Pasta was horrible, the cheese sauce tasted like it came from a can. I was so surprised that's what they served here. I had a bite and I was done. I went with a few friends and we waited for several minutes before anyone had spoken to us. The host that seated us placed us right next to the restrooms and drinks. I tried to use my reward upon paying for the drink and chips/salsa and it simply did not work. Tried to talk to our server about it, but was responded with "It only works if you pay for an actual meal". Our server spoke to us a total of 3 (three) times before we decided to leave. My family and I came to enjoy a meal after a long flight and we had really bad service from a server called Ryder. She was being very smart with us and made a lot of mistakes not sure if it was on purpose. Her attitude was not it. I will not be coming to this chili's again. I've frequented this Chili's location many times in the numerous years as a Tampa resident but have never written a review. The last few times here I've been impressed at how easy it is to get a table on busy Saturday evenings. The staff is always pleasant and makes sure drinks are topped off. Food wise, you can't go wrong with chips and salsa/queso to start. The triple dippers and any other items I've ordered have always been good and I've never had any complaints food wise. Chili's you have let me down. Every single time I come to this location, it is a bad experience. I have tried so many times with them and it just doesn't ever work out. My husband is already not a fan, but always deals with it for me. I was having a rough day and I begged my husband to come here so I could get some chips and queso and grab some dinner. He gave in and we decided to come. To start with, we walked in and there was nobody at the hostess stand. There were plenty of servers standing around and talking, but not one of them came over and acknowledged us. Even the MANAGER looked at us and just kept walking. Apparently, this location doesn't believe in team work. We waited about ten minutes, if not more before a hostess came up front and greeted us and took us to our table. Once we sat down, we put in the order for our chips and queso and I ordered a strawberry margarita and my husband ordered the house margarita. The server asked me if I wanted sugar or salt and I said sugar. When our drinks came out, i got a house margarita with sugar? At this point, I didn't care, we already waiting so long just to get acknowledged that at this point, a drink was a drink. I asked the server about the mix up and he said that he thought i wanted the house with sugar. I mean maybe some people prefer that, but I personally have never heard or seen anyone with a regular house margarita with sugar. Our food came out, I got chicken fajitas and my husband a burger, thankfully our food was cooked correctly. It did take a while to come out, but at this point I wasn't even surprised anymore at the service we had been receiving. the $10.99 old fashioned hamburger was so full of filler I couldn't even taste the beef. it was like a sawdust burger,thankfully it had cheese ,lettuce,tomato and purple onion on it to mask the taste. I have only positive things to say as any time I have had an issue at this location, it was made right either by taking the item off my bill or by bringing a remade item. I have had lengthier wait times for to go orders specifically during lunch hours at this location. My favorite server who I ask for every time is Holly. Ok so if you follow my reviews then you know I don't have very good experiences at Chili's. I came back because of Chili's management reaching out to me regarding my past negative experience as a means to make it better, so I took them up on the offer to give it another try. This time I went to the location on Dale Mabry Hwy and Columbus in Tampa. First, for me to rate Chili's anything above a 1 star means I was actually impressed for a change. I went on my lunch break and had the lunch special, along with chips and skillet queso. Our waitress was really the one that made for the good experience. She was very friendly and on her game -- refills came without asking and food was served fast. She was also very helpful when it came time to pay the bill and the table payment machines weren't working. The food was actually good as well. It may be the location that I went to this time around but it just confirms that I may indeed be back again for another lunch break. read more

This review is long overdue. I don't typically rate chain restaurants, however, this restaurant deserves a rating. We decided to have my son's 4th birthday dinner at Chili's. I was expecting to have at least 15-20 people to join us. Well I called another location and they couldn't make a reservation. I called this location and the manager was very helpful!! I even received a text message an hour prior telling me the table would be ready. When were arrived everything was set up and ready to go. The ONLY concern was the tables were not together so we had three separate tables. Anyhow, I understood how this happened because of the area we were in. This was my third visit to this location and my second time having the same server. Her name is Erica. I distinctly remember her because we initially joked as I have a sister name Erika (spelled differently). Well, Erica, our server was ON POINT the entire time!! She did her thing. She got the orders right, she was professional, she was fast and friendly. What more can you ask for? She handled 16 people by herself and didn't miss a beat!! Went for some lunch with two friends and my daughter. I waited over 5 - 10 minutes to even be taken care of at the host stand. 3 different servers looked right at me. Finally a girl came over, sat us in her section which was dirty. As I looked around the restaurant... most tables were dirty and not even busy. My server, which never told her name.. took our order and never seen her again. When it was time for the bill, we needed change, had to ask the other server for help because our server literally didn't do anything besides take our order. I WILL NEVER GO BACK! Looking for places that where open after hurricane Irma hit and chilis looked promising. We came in around 11:30am and we where seated right away. They did inform us before we sat that they had a limited menu due to the hurricane. I was still very pleased with what they had to offer and started off with some chips and salsas. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. We ordered our food and it was out within 20 minutes or so. Literally made a yelp account just to leave this review. WORST TO GO SERVICE EVER! I've done to-go multiple times at this specific location for convenience to my job & EVERY time has been terrible. From the multiple servers passing by and not smiling or greeting, to no one at the to-go stand ever. As an ex server I fully understand you may not be working to-go so it's not your priority but at the bare minimum speak or smile, and I can almost guarantee they never even alerted the to-go server anytime that they passed me because I stood there waiting for her for 5+ minutes and could hear a whole conversation & laughing taking place in the kitchen. On a to-go that's literally insane when I order in advance to not wait and I can see my food just sitting on the counter. I almost went behind it and grabbed it myself, because I paid already plus tip but then I'd be in the wrong. The food is good but literally wont be coming inside for a sit down if this is how to-gos operate. This location has put a terrible taste in my mouth and I don't think I'll be spending my money with chili's any further. Very disappointed that Chili's cannot handle the overflow from a Bucs game being they are right by the stadium. They serve the drinks in a plastic cup and do not tell tell you the two for one is in the plastic cup. I would think that Chili's would want uniformity in there locations. I have eaten at this Chili's since it opened about 20 years ago. A fave was the Oliver burger & Chili's really has some great fries. Of course I have eaten at other locations, but returned today to take a friend out for post Valentines late lunch. My friend ordered her fave: the old timer burger & fries....what a disaster. We got there a bit before 4PM, so late lunch, early dinner. The burger was a literal nightmare & an embarrassment for any establishment to serve. The bun had obviously been over flat topped too many times & was cared on the top & bottom inside bun. Even the top, of the top bum had grill marks on it. The preformed burger was dry & dead, we'll overcooked & inedible. There was 1 thin slice of romaine folded over for the lettuce. The pickles were fine. The "fresh tomato", was 2 slivers, that did not even equal a whole slice of tomato. The fries I had raved about, were limp, soggy, warm & inedible. I was so embarassed! I asked for the manager. Let me point out the restaurant was extremely slow at that time. When we arrived, there was no one to seat us, so we stood, twiddling our thumbs...starving. Waitress was very nice, but with only 2-3, tables did not get order right. The manager made good on the burger & fries & also removed them from my check. My personal problem, is he would not own that someone had a bad day & this must have slipped through. He made good on the meal, but would not admit the initial meal, NEVER, should have left the kitchen. This is where you usually have to applaud independents. They can only blame bad sales & food on themselves & not pass it off to the corporation! There are far too many superior burger restaurants in the Bay area, to put up with inferior food, unfit, in my opinion for human consumption. Yes the manager did right by redoing the dish ( not enthusiastically ) & comping the price. We were prepared for dessert & then a nice long Happy Hour to chat & catch up. The food here is delicious of course, however most of it doesn't look anywhere close to the menu or like in the tv commercials. Especially with steak. Of course this type of false advertising seems to be expected everywhere these days. Their avocado sirloin steak looks 1 inch thick in the pictures and rectangular shaped. But what you really get is about 50% smaller and the sides are scarce too. You also barely get 3 tiny slices of avocado. In Contrast, some items are hard to fake, if your order corn on the cob, it meets all expectations, same size as pictures etc. Same for ribs, a half rack is actually good sized. Great margaritas here, definitely try the presidente margarita. Salt rimmed glass and you get about 2-3 glasses from 1 shaker. Service is excellent here, a great atmosphere and you can tell that they do try hard to do good work. Parking can be tough here especially on a saturday afternoon. I do recommend them, just know that for steak you will be robbed :( read more

Well this is some crazy shit!! Crazy meaning good. We in town to surprise my girlfriends father on his birthday and big daddy wanted to have a quick happy hour stop so why not here and damn what a good decision!! We sat at the bar because of course we here for drinks. We sit and we notice this little card that says the drinks that are included in happy hour and the bartender's name which was Mike. This dude was the shit I mean this dude was the truth!! He seemed like I knew him for years, when I ordered my drink he didn't flinch I usually have hard times with my favorite drink (long beach ice tea) nine outta ten bartenders dont know what the drink is but mike did. So after our first drink he brang us some nachos that was free then he gave us two shots of some new presedente tequila it was good and FREE!!
