I've (and we've) been dining at this Chili's location for years now and I am finally writing this restaurant a review with 5 stars. I consider Chili's menu as 'good food fast'. They've got quite a selection in their menu including the 3 for me offering which I think is of good value. Other menu items are very reasonably priced. The service is mostly on point. From the time you arrive and are greeted, to when you're seated and food is served, it's consistently good. But kudos to Damien, the current manager, who's always attentive and noticeably always busy working different positions to help the staff. Overall, even though there were times/incidents where the food were lacking in basic food preparations, I feel this restaurant is worth a visit. read more

I want my baby back baby back baby back... If you know this tune, you know Chili's and what they are about. The Thousand Oaks location seems to always be busy both the restaurant side and at the bar. Whether you are looking to grab an ice cold beer or sip on their Presidente margaritas at the bar, you definitely can't go wrong. We like to come here periodically and take part in their 2 for $25 (dinner for two) deal. It comes with an appetizer to share, a selection of 2 full sized entrees (sides included) and a dessert to share. We of course add on their Presidente Margs for $5 bucks more each drink and it's the perfect date night out. Some favorites when dining at chili's are their bottomless chips and salsa for $3 bucks. I personally love the Margarita grilled chicken or their half order of baby back ribs available with your choice of bbq sauce or dry rub if you prefer. If you feel like eating in your pajamas in the comfort of your own home, they do have a to-go section on the side of the restaurant or curb side pick up area if you don't want to show off those sponge bob square pants pjs. All in all, Chili's is a staple in T.O. that provides a good meal for a fair price. read more

The kitchen is a mature. Burgers are burnt everytime. Blenders were broken at the bar. The queso was cold.

We usually come here once a week but service has gone downhill and so has the food . Truthfully I feel this is on weekends and we have had the server "Chris" twice and both times it has been a horrible experience. Super slow and I think he gets lost. Everything from meals come out sporadically, meals are not hot, meals are over cooked, old chips, no refills on drinks, tinny taste in food, he takes plates and leaves them on clean tables and then they move them and sit someone else there and don't wipe it down, etc. Don't get me wrong we have had some really great servers there but WOW, he needs more training. And after meeting the manager yesterday Chilis is off my list for a long time! read more

I absolutely love coming here! I usually dine here every 2 weeks with my fiancé and have an amazing experience every single time. Matt is such an attentive server and checks on our table throughout our meal appropriately. He gives awesome suggestions on drinks and sneaks us extra fries :) I always make sure I get him when I go there. The atmosphere is always welcoming and not crazy noisy like other bars I usually go to. It's just an all around good time! I get their buffalo chicken salad with ranch and their citrus dressing! I wish I could bottle that dressing!!! Always start with the dip trio! Their mozzarella sticks are ridiculous. So good!! Save room for their molten lava cake too. This place was poppin in a Saturday night!! Good thing I added myself to the waitlist. I arrived and waited a few minutes before they called me name. It was a bit of a disorganized mess and the host/ hostess seemed very overwhelmed. Our server was quite polite. Gave us a few minutes to look over the menu while she took our drink orders. We got the $5 pomegranate margaritas. Those sounded great. They weren't the best. It was just tequila with some juice it seemed like. The sugar rim helped with the taste though. We didn't finish it but drank it because we bought it. We ordered the meal for 2. I believe it was $25. We ordered an appetizer, two entrees and dessert. Great deal! I ordered the quesadilla which was fine. Can't go wrong with it. The only issue I had was the salsa. It didnt look freshly made. The dessert was the best part though. So many calories but delicious. My first time visiting since the pandemic ended. I was extremely pleased with the service, quality of feed, and overall ambiance. It's Chili's, so you know what you're getting. Stick with the basics and you'll enjoy. During our Saturday visit for lunch, we were promptly greeted, had a server with a high attention to serving us, and enjoyed our meal. Pro Tip: They have a 3 for 10 deal: Soup/salad/appetizer + meal (burger and fries, tacos, quesadillas, etc) + a drink. This is the best cake by far on the menu. Dinner for a whole family of four (minus my alcohol purchases) was less that $50 for a family of 4 with two teenage boys. We went today for Veterans Day because they have free meals for vets (amazing!). It was super busy but our server, Ryan, was awesome. He was professional, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure that our experience was perfect. The food was yummy and filling and the kids in our party were served first, which we appreciated because you know how impatient kids can be, lol. The presidente margaritas were incredible as well! haven't eaten at chilis in awhile....now I remember why. we waited for 30 minutes to be seated...( no biggie) but when we got in.....they had like 10 or more booths open and 5 tables....but instead of seating us in the open area with a bigger booth...she jammed me and my husband and boys in a small booth by the bar. All 3 guys are over 6 foot and 200. okay...so we are sat in the bar....loud....and hectic. the bar tender was our server and even though she tried to be nice...she was really silently expressing.....( augh...why am I waiting on people.....i need to be behind the bar). she got us our drinks and chips and salsa and then was gone for a looong time. we ordered and then a server....broght us our salads....we now refer to him as thumbs....he had both of his thumbs in my salad bowl as he handed it to me and pill my husbands salad out from under his arm pit area....what????? bartender asked us if we wanted more chips and then just never came back. got our entrees and my hamburger was pink all the way through...just a weird atmosphere ....and odd workers.....just a reminder of why I always suggest other places to eat than this chilis... where's the manager ? who doesn't tell this kid to not put his thumbs in our food,,,,saw him serving other tables while we were there....food in everyone of those dishes yuck!!! read more

I love Chilis and often frequent the one near my home in NJ. Out here for business, staying at the Marriott right next door so have been here a half dozen times in the past few months. This particular location is a standard chilis, but there are now more times than I can count where the service is just bad. The folks that work here are all friendly, but seem like they don't have the experience required. One of my biggest pet peeves is when I ask a server for something and they acknowledge, and then stop at the next table to clean it up. This has happened multiple times at this location and I might be able to convince myself they are messing with me, and not just bad servers. Here is an example that happened three times last night. I sit down order a beer while i look at the menu. Order an appetizer which gets dropped off by a food runner right as I finish my beer. So food has arrived, empty glass, i survey the room to find my server and she is nowhere to be found. She literally walked in my vicinity 4 times and never once looked over to see if I needed anything. Finally had to stand and waver her down to get a beer to go with my food. Dinner comes, ready for another beer so I ask her for one. She says "no problem" and then goes to the empty table right next to me and starts cleaning it up. Its 10PM, nobody is waiting for tables but she thinks thats the most important think to do at that moment. Few minutes later ask for more salsa and same thing, its one of the things on her list, not the most important - swings by the bar to chat with the bartender before heading to the kitchen - news flash.. salsa goes much better with the meal, not 20 minutes later. I get it, business traveler, eating alone, probably a relatively small tip but it blows me away when servers walk repeatedly by a table and have no thought to look up and see who needs something. This location that seems to happen every time and I can assure you each time i would have at least one more drink. Multiply that by all the tables in the place and its real money - need a manager to train these individuals on what is important - cleaning a table in an empty restaurant is NOT more important than delivering another drink - to me or to the owner of the establishment. read more

I like this Chili's. I consistently get good service here and they've recently remodeled the inside of the restaurant for a more open feel and seating for large groups. I usually order the Bottomless Express Lunch (soup & salad & chips), though I've also tried their Caribbean Salad with Shrimp. I've tried several of their desserts and I love their pretzel sticks. Once I gave Chili's my e-mail address, they started sending me coupons in my e-mail. At first, it was once a week for a free dessert with purchase of an adult entree. The coupons are less frequent now, but they totally get me come in. Usually I go with a friend because after eating lunch I can't eat an entire dessert by myself without seriously regretting it afterward. I had lunch here today. Bottomless Express Lunch with their baked potato soup, salad and chips with salsa. The service was slower than usual, and the server seemed to forget my chips (but that is kind of common here with the express lunch, and she did bring it quickly when I asked). One thing I like in particular about the soup and salad is that the salad, while not "fancy", is definitely not as simple as I had first expected when I ordered this lunch. The salad consists of lettuce (mostly iceberg) with shredded cheese, shredded carrots, slices of cucumbers, chopped tomatoes and some white/purple onions. Oh, and croutons. I really enjoy it! I had a coupon for a free dessert and today I tried (for the first time) the Brownie with ice cream. I'm often reluctant to try brownies when I eat out because I make them at home so good that I can't imagine a restaurant competing with my own. Well, I won't say this one was *as good*, however I would definitely recommend it if you're at Chili's and want a brownie and don't have my own personal brownies handy. The brownie itself was a little inconsistent in texture, and a little on the subtle side in terms of flavor, but when combined with the ice cream and chocolate sauce, the whole thing worked great. The brownie was light, fluffy and a bit cakey. The ice cream was more solid, with a nice flavor. The last bite of brownie (once I'd run out of ice cream) happened to be VERY thick and gooey/chewy to the point I had trouble getting it unstuck from the roof of my mouth to swallow it. The rest of the brownie didn't have this issue. I was able to finish this dessert solo, and only felt a little sugar-sick at the very end. It could also have been shared and then I wouldn't be so full right now. I've also had their chocolate molten cake and highly recommend it. Rich moist cake with a liquid chocolate center, topped with ice cream. VERY strong dessert and I can't usually finish this on my own after also eating a regular meal. Chili's also has cookie skillets now and I've had the peanut butter one. It's absolutely amazing. The cookie is baked perfectly on the outside and is a little soft on the inside. VERY strong sweetness factor and the ice cream is a great addition on top. The one time I got this I ate the entire thing on my own and deeply regretted it because it was so sweet I felt ill afterward. Now I only get a cookie skillet if I can share it with someone. Very generous portions! Last note, the only time I've ever had an alcoholic drink at Chili's it was at this location and it was the worst I've ever had. It was a strawberry daiquiri and I pulled out over 20 chunks of ice that were large enough they could not fit through my straw. Seriously? Learn to blend? Other than the fact that I can't recommend their blended drinks, I do really like coming here and do so a few times a month. read more

Always a good deal. We usually sit in the bar area, nice to see people enjoying the games or just socializing at the bar. Not usually too noisy during the late afternoons. Can also sit in the large dining area. Can see TVs from everywhere. The servers are very friendly. The bar area service can be a bit slower at times depending how many people are sitting at the bar as the bartenders usually serve the surrounding tables also. Usually taken very good care of, lots of refills. We frequent for the "3 for Me" menu. You get a burger or chicken sandwich, fries, soup or salad or chips or upgrade to a cup of chili, and a drink for $10.99! There are other options available for a little more money, but such a fantastic deal. Oh, and now offering a mini "Molten Chocolate Cake" for about $4 when you get the 3-for-Me deal. They also have a lunch special. Belonging to their rewards program gives you free chips and salsa or a non-alcoholic drink. Soooo many hot tasty chips! Always have some to take home, and they give you a great microwavable bag to reheat the chips. Love the Quesadilla Explosion Salad - large salad with choice of protein, corn, tomatoes, cheese, and tortilla chips...AND a cheese Quesadilla! Yum. The Chicken Crispers are great. Many sauces to choose from. Their "Triple Dipper" lets you choose 3 of their appetizers, great way to try a variety. Everything on the large menu looks/sounds great.
