My wife and I have been eating at this location for many years. The food and service here is always exceptional. The aromas inside and outside are simply mouthwatering ! My Rib-eye was a thick, juicy, and tender cut of beef that was cooked perfectly medium-rare. Wifey's ribs were beautifully prepared with fall-off-the-bone deliciousness while our corn cobs were grilled plump and buttery. My sweet potatoes were smooth and satisfying along with my wonderful Caesar salad tossed with their sharp and tangy homemade dressing adding that full-on bold flavour! Our waitress Alianna was amazing and could not have been sweeter ! We didn't have to ask for anything as our drinks were always full, plates were continually cleared, and she always wore a smile. We never felt rushed at all as the restaurant was bustling. We will continue to make the drive from T.O. to this location because .. well .. it's the BEST ! Cheers !!

Food is always soft fresh and delicious! You can smell it when just driving by on the street lol. Servers are always sweet and happy to help, it can be pretty crowded and loud, especially when they're playing loud music though.

Service was excellent and the portion sizes were very good. The food tasted great and was prepared well. We were in a booth, there were 3 of us I was next to someone and it was a bit cramped but okay. The restaurant noice level was not really loud and it was comfortable speaking with others at the table. All the servers and employees were very nice and welcoming. We had a nice dinner and will return.

Wood Ranch in Moorpark is a very YUMMY 5 star place to go for BBQ. Service and food quality is consistently excellent!!! There are many locations in SoCal and it's a bummer this place is not in NorCal. It's always busy with customers and there may or may not be a wait. My recommendations to you are the BBQ Ribs or the Center Cut Tri-Tip and add a side of salad. The sides and side salads are a must and good choices to choose from. A must try place if you're visiting SoCal.

Made reservations for lunch and were seated at a big booth right away. Very pleased with the staff especially our waiter Victor. The decor was inspiring to make you want to eat bbq style food with beef and great sides to choose from. We were brought menus ans drinks were ordered and received quickly. Then we looked over the big menu while we ate their sumptuous rolls. So warm and fresh and had such great flavor. We ordered lunch and I got a Brisket lunch plate with a side of peanut cake slaw type salad. The meat was so tender and soft and delicious and so was the light salad. Others got chicken salads and obe perosn got the biggest burger i ever saw. And she ate the whole thing!!! I was amazed. The rest of us had plenty of leftovers. I recommend making reservations as it can be quite busy. They also have a full bar.

We love this place. We come here multiple times a year. All of their BBQ options are fantastic, as are all of their sides and salads. They have one of our favorite soups of all restaurants: a tri-tip mushroom soup. I cannot recommend that soup enough. Other than that, you can't really go wrong. I go back and forth between the brisket, tri-tip, and pulled pork. If I'm more hungry, then I will go with a dinner plate so that I can get two sides, but otherwise I'll get it as a sandwich. My favorite side is their peanut coleslaw; it's pretty unique to have peanuts in there, but it's super tasty. They are good for a small group (my wife and have gone just us two) or large groups (we've gone with 10 people). The staff is always friendly and accommodating, and they provide good recommendations and bring the food out in a timely and sensible way, no matter the group size.

    Burnt beef ribs

This is the second time they have served me beef ribs burnt beyond burnt. Sometimes they are good but the last time I ordered them and at the restaurant I had to send them back. This is the second time I have gotten home with a to go order to discover they are burnt.

This place is so nostalgic for me... I grew up coming here with my family, enjoying the great food and atmosphere. It doesn't feel like the Wood Ranch that we grew up with anymore, but that's because it isn't. This chain has popped up locations all over and it's because they put an emphasis on good food and great service. That's exactly what we got... the service and food are still like I remember it which is great! The Buckeye burger was just like I remembered it and was cooked to perfection. The rolls are still amazing, but they only bring you a couple at a time which is kinda lame, but I'm sure it helps to cut back on food waste.

Picked 6 different buns, ordered 12, tater tots, one of their special iced coffees(which was unbelievable) and the cinnamon roll(because I have a huge sweet tooth). I came here to try out California Bun, an eatery that has harnessed an interesting (long overdue) concept, to package portable food. Here they prepare snack sized bites (or a little more) of favorite food fancies, enveloped in a daily fresh baked round brioche bun. The store is high ceiling, spacious and large, with ample space to dine in or carry out. It is a mom and pop joint, that is slowly but surely, beginning to make a mark. On the main wall, elegantly displayed, are all the many enticing varieties, for the day. My visit was designed to take something to go. The conundrum here is, what to order, because there were so many inviting choices that were talking to you. I finally decided to select three of these evenly browned and differently topped buns. The El Sabroso (Egg, cheddar & jack cheese, bacon & Jalapeno salsa, garnished with Cheese, bacon & jalapeño). The Roadside Burger (Seasoned ground beef, grilled onions, white American cheese, & secret house burger sauce, garnished with Cheese & bacon). The Mac Daddy (Creamy mac and cheese with a cheddar, jack, and parmesan cheese blend, garnished with Panko bread crumbs). So whats the verdict? The Mac Daddy was my least favorite. In comparing the other two, the Roadside Burger seemed to have the higher of (inside filling/inside bread) ratio, as compared to the El Sabroso. However, the latter is the most attractive bun on the outside and overall, contains a good mix of flavors and slight kick. Any food with a visible Jalapeño is a magnet, for me. Still, this concoction needs more of the egg mixture, to achieve the right balance. In general, all 3 buns were soft, had a nice texture, bread taste and chew. Service here is warm, inviting, friendly and informative.

Wanted to try lunch items while we were doing errands and thought why not Jarro's Cafe. My wife's Turkey Club was good she was happy with it, full of meat and your standard triple decker club sandwich. I went with the fired Chicken burger and was excited to try it. A huge sandwich indeed, but after several bites around the outside of it I realized it was left in the fryer too long, hard on the outside and the meat was dry and tough. The bun seemed old because it started falling apart. Very disappointing, didn't really eat much of it. When our server Jorge came to the table and asked if we wanted boxes to take the rest of it home it told him not necessary, when I mentioned to him that the chicken was overcooked and was like shoe leather you would think their would be some response. Nothing! Not an apology or can I bring you another one or what can I do to make this better? Just said I will get your check . Wow! Guess it doesn't matter to the establishment that the customer thought the food was sub par, very disappointing. Not sure if I will be back with that kind of attitude from a server, you know these days with everything being so expensive and money being tight for everyone. To go out for a meal costs a lot and to have a meal not be good is one thing but to have the server not even respond to it is another. Sorry Jarro's this is unacceptable, don't think I will be back.

The reviews were quite solid so we thought this would be an outstanding place to eat - and we were not disappointed. We arrived before 10am and the small, nondescript family-owned spot in a retail strip mall was about half full. Right away, you could smell some amazing, authentic Mexican spices in the air. We were seated quickly by the friendly young woman. The service was very efficient from the start. After looking over the menu, my girlfriend and I were drawn to starting with some amazing Cafe de Olla in these great, authentic colorful ceramic mugs. I opted for Grandma's Chile Verde (Pork cooked in green tomatillo sauce, poblano chilis and Swiss Cheese with the option to add fruit, tarot tots, hash browns and/or egg whites. Served with corn or flour tortillas). My girlfriend went with the other option I was interested in: Chilaquiles Asada Burrito (Carne Asada, chilaquiles, guacamole, queso fresco, sour cream and black beans, served with the aforementioned breakfast sides). Our food was delivered hot and fast within 10 minutes. Right away, the freshly-prepared entrees looked amazingly eye-catching. The first bites of my slow cooked pork were outstanding. Fall off the fork juicy, each bite was filled with amazing spices and flavor combinations that any abuelita would be proud of. The hash browns were also soft on the inside with a slight crisp on the outside. The egg whites and corn tortillas were a nice touch to make my breakfast fulfilling. My girlfriend's burrito was five-star, excellence. I was able to snag a few bites and the carne asada, like my pork, was tender, moist and delicious. The flavor depth of the chilaquiles sauce was simply out of this word. Amazing. Overall, this place is a home run. By 11am, the place was filled with a small line of people outside waiting. With limited hours, daily until 2pm, you'll want to grab a spot early at one of the tables inside or small number of seats outside quickly. The staff rotated and checked on our table at least six times, making sure the food was tasty and the Cafe de Olla refills hot and fresh. Plenty of parking in the strip mall out front, with one gender neutral bathroom in the back (which was clean). Overall, Jarro's offers up some of the best Mexican classics for breakfast in the area, and the service is top notch. The prices are all quite reasonable for the quantity and quality of items. The menu also offers up some more traditional American breakfast options (pancakes, waffles etc), but my recommendation is to try the Mexican classics. The spices and flavors will make your corazon happy.
