Wish I could give 0 stars. Seriously. The general manager was insanely rude. FYI - happy hour is only in the bar 7 days a week, despite none of their menus or fine print saying so, including their online happy hour. I sat in the main restaurant weeks prior to this bad experience with friends and had happy hour honored; however, when my friends and I came to the restaurant tonight looking forward to some happy hour drinks and good food, the general manager refused to honor happy hour prices, citing a "policy" that was never stated to my table or stated online. This was utterly frustrating, especially when considering the condescending and rude tone with which this general manager spoke to me. Ive never really been a fan of chilis.. rarely think of it as a place to go for lunch, dinner or happy hour.. and thats on me. But I have to say chili's Newbury park has completely proved me wrong. And thats all because of Carl.. He's so attentive!! Me, being a server myself... HATS OFF TO CARL!! He got busy, & never broke a sweat while having a smile on his face. The Pick 3 is a pretty epic deal. Definitely go with the unlimited chips and salsa as the best deal. The crispy chicken sandwich was huge, and the cheeseburger was also large. I ordered from Chili's during the week Cajun Alfredo pasta. It was wonderful great service I got from DoorDash . Saturday I ordered the same thing Cajun pasta Alfredo sauce well the chefs forgot to put the Alfredo sauce, and burned the garlic toast. I mean black !!!! I called chilies. The manager was very kind, very honest , And he said I shouldn't order on the weekends because of weekend chef !! it tasted better during the week because they have better chefs. I am not kidding you that's what he said so I will never order from Chili's on the weekends!!he did offer me to drive down there and pick up some Alfredo sauce and exchange the food. Well that's why I order from DoorDash ,so I don't have to do that !!! so whatever you do don't order Chili's on the weekends. One of the best locations for one of my favorite restaurant chains. The food here always tastes fresh and is nice and hot, which is less than I can say for other chili's locations in the area. This is my favorite Chili's location. They have awesome stuff ends and attentive manager if you have any problems. Love going there and seeing my friend Pam who works there she's amazing and she used to work at the one in Westlake. I always get my water put in a glass cup as opposed to plastic because I've got my own special thing I do with essential oils. It doesn't have anything to do with the food but the food is awesome. I have an allergy to black pepper and Ginger and they always double-check and triple-check everything prior to having the order. So I kept it simple my friends and I both got a salad and I also got a soup. I asked for lemons they did not have any type of oil to give me to make my own dressing but lemons and the salt I bring with me was good enough. My friend got the cheesy bites without the jalapenos and the spicy sauce and she loved it! Once again another great experience at this Chili's! You're looking for a great server just ask for Pam. If I eat at one more restaurant that only puts 5 measily shrimp on a salad, I'm going to scream. My first mistake is ordering shrimp because VERY FEW places give an abundance of shrimp......for any meal......scampi, pasta dishes, salads. It annoys the hell out of me. However, THIS retaurant gave me FIVE shrimp....I can usually see 6-8 at other places. So I spoke to the waitress about it, and she said, unless I want to pay extra for more, that's all they put on there. That simply doesn't fly with me. It's a chain, and well, I don't expect too much from a chain. Then, I start thinking of everything else I don't like about this place......which are most of the entrees. Everything is real starchy, highly caloric, high in fat. There's always a wait, and in the end, just not worth it. The only reason I ate here was because my daughter liked it. I have been placing orders through Door Dash and I know they have nothing to do with the order preparation but the last 3 salads I've ordered have been with old lettuce, brown at the tips and wilted. I was there on Saturday 3/12/22 around 3:30 pm. I walked in with my sister and my 8 year old. We asked to be seated in the bar area. The hostess made a face and said to us "I don't want to seat you if your not going to be served" and we said there's not allot of people, she says yea but there's only 1 server so I would hate to seat you and not be served! We then asked well can we be seated and order drinks and she said No ! I said to her so basically you are refusing to serve us and you are not going to seat us at all? she shrugged her shoulders and said yea sorry. I then waited to call the manager until Monday because I was so upset. He then apologized and said to give them another chance and he would email me some gift certificates to make up for his hostess refusing service to us and being singled out.  Never received anything in my email. It shouldn't have happened if they don't like to work with people being a hostess is not the right job. She was blonde curly hair light skin I didn't get her name because we were trying to understand why we were refused service. I waited to make sure I wasn't the only one she refused service to. Sure enough she seated the other guests that walked in. So she was being racist against me. read more

Ever since the Westlake Village location closed the consistent quality that I loved about Chili's is slowly going away. The T.O. Location does not look clean and sanitary place to eat. The use of wet dirty towels to wipe down tables and seats leaves a awful smell behind. Case in point: last night the glasses smelled like they were rinsed with water right from the sewer. I almost threw up. The bartender did NOT appear happy to be working last night either. The food is not prepared consistently from each visit. We keep coming back for the great tasting margaritas; about the only consistent item on the menu. I miss the Westlake Village location a lot. read more

Wow - Chili's has really gone downhill. We used to come a lot when the kids were little and always thought it was friendly, clean, and good value - every one of those things has changed! We came in and were told there was a 20 minute wait for a table of two, despite seeing 10 empty tables, and 10 more tables (no joke) that needed to be bussed (old food, dirty dishes, trash). I understand that some stations might not be open (even though it was a Friday night) so I asked about the tables that needed to be cleaned and the hostess said, "yeah, we have to do that ourselves, there aren't any busboys, the servers and hostesses have to do it." Okay..... sorry.... I guess... well, it was obvious that all the servers were making themselves scarce so they didn't have to bus a table. So we just sat at the bar. The bartender didn't crack a smile the whole time though he did take our order competently and we got the food quickly enough. The runner who brought the food was friendly. I ordered onion rings instead of fries for our burger and it came with the little metal box for the rings in which there were four (four!) onion rings. And one of them was burnt and shriveled. Plus both of our meals were served on these institutional metal trays. Now, I get that this is a new craze for hipster places... but Chili's doesn't qualify for hipster status. On the plus side, the food tasted okay. But, I won't be returning to Chili's. Bummer. read more

The salmon and vegetables were surprisingly good. I found the service to be fantastic. They were friendly, energetic and knowledgeable about the menus and specials. We eat at this location or the one in T.O. from time to time. I prefer this location. The thing I like best is the waitstaff. They are pretty quick and attentive, which is a big thing with me. I'm not so picky about my orders, but some in the party I frequent are, and they get the orders right every time, because if they didn't boy would I hear it, and hear it and hear it! I usually order the steak and loaded potatoes! Simply yummy in my book. It's not steakhouse yummy, but cheap eats and weekday yummy, if you know what I mean. The food was decent, as expected for this type of restaurant. Unfortunately, the restaurant was unmanaged and dirty. There are no bar backs and no bussers, so the one bartender and the servers (all quite young) are left to serve, clear and clean. The bar area was covered with dirty glasses for the entirety of our stay, and tables did not get cleared of dirty dishes either. I don't hold the servers responsible - they were quite friendly and making an effort, as was the hostess. I saw no adult/experienced manager guiding them and feel they were set up for failure with no support with clearing and cleaning, especially on a busy weekend night. read more

I also wasn't asked whether I wanted the patty medium or rare they just gave me a medium well -- it's a restaurant not fast food so I'd expect that question to be asked. Could have had better at an In-N-Out at half the cost. Said my fiancee's order would be mild, in terms of the sauce, and it definitely wasn't mild. I know what mild tastes like. When we sent it back to be redone it took a long time to come back again Waiter didn't check on how we were doing at all -- checked every other table but ours.
