Today august 15th,came here for my B day with family n friends, it took the waitress 20 min to ask if we needed anything to drink, she finally brought them 10 min later and forgot mine, we all ordered ice tea, she didnt come back for another 15 min after I flagged down another waitress for my drink.finally got that drink so now it's been 40 min.we finally got our order taken ,our drinks are empty but waitresses just walk by like were not there, we finally got our food 1hr after ordering, to sum it up, this place sucks for service and food was mediocre at very best...wont be coming here again.. read more

Great area. There's a Ross and TJ Maxx in the vicinity. I know there are more shopping stores, but I didn't really check around. I like that there are a lot of options in Turlock. You can shop and then have a nice lunch or dinner with the family. I came here on a Saturday with my younger sister and my two cousins! Four people, four empty stomachs. Here's the deal.. It's 2 for $22 now. I totally thought it was 2 for $20. No big deal, $2 extra. I didn't know they changed that and I had my mind set on not spending a lot of money. Ballin' on a budget, but still wanted to treat the girls, you know? For the 2 for $22 combo you get an appetizer and two full size entrees. We ordered Texas fries (half size) 8/10! Delicious. More cheese would've been better, but hey.. oh well. I was hoping the portion would be a bit larger, but I'm just a fatso like that. We got a second appetizer from the actual menu which was this cheese and meat with tostada chips and salsa! I forgot the name, but it was amazing. We were already pretty much full after those apps. Our two entrees were half rack baby back ribs with fries and the Cajun chicken pasta. OH M GEE! So amazing. Cajun pasta was a great portion for all of us. It wasn't a huge plate, but it fed all four of us. The baby back ribs were a bit tiny, but they were BABY back ribs! We were full by the end of the meal. I just hated the wait.. There really wasn't many people in the restaurant... We were literally waiting maybe 30-35 minutes for our food.. It was kind of annoying my life. The total was shy of $31.00! That's a steal.. $31 dinner for four hungry girls. That's what I'm talking about! What bugged me out too is how long I waited for my server to come get my debit card. I didn't want to use that device they have on the table. Personally, I just don't trust those. It took my server like 15 minutes to come get my payment. I still gave her 18% gratuity. Took the kids right at opening time, 11 am, and they had 1 server for the joint. We ordered immediately as we had tickets to a 12:30 pm movie. I ordered the triple dipper, 1 side of boneless wings and 2 of the burger bites, no mayo and no onion strings. Kids had chicken strips and the other had mac and cheese. 11:40 am the meal finally arrives as the grill was "having problems", so I only got 2 of my 4 sliders. 2 of my sliders had no bacon and when the other 2 arrived, they had mayo wiped off and very minimal bacon IE. 3 small pieces. I called the waitress back and she took them back, brought out 2 more that were done right, and the manager would be back with the other 2. She brought them out and said "Here you go! Bacon and Cheese only!" She walks off and I figure it will be done right, wrong! No bacon! WTF! Call the waitress back and she says oops, I will get your meal comped. When the ticket comes they comped the burger bites, but the manager never came back to say sorry or anything. I saw her skulking around but apparently customer service isn't her thing. At this point I notice the oldest hasn't eaten more than 2 bites of her chicken tenders. I ask her what is wrong and she says her chicken is soggy. I take a look and the chicken looks like it is cooked, but biting it feels as if they flashed it in the fryer. At this point there is no point, I get the check, pay and go so we don't miss the movie. We had not been to Chili's in a long time but were doing our shopping in Turlock and decided to go and were very happy we did! We were seated and our waiter Marcelino arrived soon after to get our drink order. Because we still had some shopping left to do we skipped the alcoholic beverages and opted for ice tea and a soda. I ordered the prime rib and chicken fajitas and my husband ordered the cheese enchiladas plate. The prime rib and chicken were both melt in your mouth great with the best seasoning! And the portion was so much that I ate off of it and my husband had a big burrito for dinner with the left overs! My husband completely enjoyed his food and ate it all! The star of the show was our waiter Marcelino! He was very attentive and we did not have to ask for refills because he was on top of it. Very friendly and even offered to get the television changed if our favorite college football game was not on the channel that they were showing. He has a very friendly and wonderful personality some of the best service that we have had in a long time!! Will go back! read more

Terrible service and food is mediocre at best. Only reason we dined here was because they were having a fundraiser for St. Jude's Children's Hospital (side note: way to do a backhanded "good deed," Chili's. Sack up and do a fundraiser on a Friday or Saturday, not on a dead Monday). Husband and I arrived before the third member of our party did so we waited at the bar. Bartender seemed more concerned about her rhinestones and puttied-on makeup than serving drinks. Sat there for several minutes before she even acknowldged us. Needless to say, had she been more attentive, we would have had time for a second round before being seated. Our friend arrived, we walked to the hostess station and were asked for a name to put on the list and told it would be "5 to 10 minutes." There were numerous open tables and booths, so the only thing I can figure is they're trying to create a false sense of demand. Whatever the reason, it pissed us off. If we had just been there for a regular night out, we would have left right then and there, but, "it's for the kids" and all that jazz. Once we were finally seated, service was ok, food was typical frozen to fried Chili's fare, we paid our check and got the hell out of there. WORST DINING EXPERIENCE EVER! Everything started off fine, but when our food arrived, my chicken sandwich was COMPLETELY raw in the middle. The waitress apologized and the manager apologized. I was very understanding. Accidents happen, so no problem. They offered to bring me out a soup or salad while I waited. I said no, I don't want either. The rest of my party was wrapping up their meals, and I still hadn't received a replacement so I asked the waitress if my meal was almost done. The manager reappeared and explained that he must have misunderstood me because they never started making a replacement. HOW CAN YOU MESS THAT UP?!?! I still wanted the sandwich! I just wanted one that was cooked! There were 7 people in my party, and no one thought I didn't want anything! I just didn't want any soup or salad! I don't like soup or salad! Ugh. I'm staying in Turlock on business. I've been here a week and this was my first visit here and my last. Normally I go to Applebee's which is father away but they have late night happy hour and Chili's does not stay open late during the week. I order a beer which is % 50 more expensive than Applebee's a burger and substitute fried pickles for my fries because I love fried pickles. The bartender informs me my burger is done but she's waiting on my fried pickles and gives me the option to get my burger first. Very glad I did. Not that the burger was very good, completely misrepresented on the menu, but I finished my burger and almost ten minutes later still waiting for pickles. I cancled them and got my check. The bartender was below par. I eat alone when I'm gone for work, she did not make me feel welcome and seemed to have a general dislike for her job. I'm upset I wasted my time here. I know the local Applebee's doesn't have a better review but my experience is better. read more

Came in on a Saturday with the family. It is one of our favorite restaurants. It has a great atmosphere and the kids love it.

On Sunday May 26th me and 9 of my family members went into this restaurant around 3:00pm for an early dinner. My husband and I ordered chicken fajitas, my sister in law also had chicken fajitas, my mother in law had the Cajun chicken pasta and 3 of 5 of the kids had the kids chicken Pasta and the chicken tender meals. Within 45 minutes of leaving the restaurant the 8 of us that had chicken meals, were SICK. I mean so sick to where there wasn't enough bathrooms for all of us. And we were all sick through the night into the next morning. Monday afternoon I called the restaurant and spoke with manager Ned. I told him about what had happened and he said he needed to take some time to investigate things and he would call me back. He didn't call until Thursday afternoon. Offering $40 worth of gift cards because "no one else had called to complain of being sick from that day". Between the 2 bills we spent almost $200. I told him that was not acceptable. I had also told him that we visited a nearby bowling alley that afternoon before coming to Chili's to eat and he said "well are you sure it wasn't something you all ate from there". No. We didn't eat anything else that day. It's not a coincidence that every single person that ate chicken was sick. Today is Sunday and I just heard from him. I told him that I do not want gift cards. After eating in a place and getting sick, would you want to go back and "try again". Nope not me. I asked him why he couldn't just give us a refund? He said it was too much paperwork and they can't do that. So he's sending out the gift cards to me anyways after I told him I will just be throwing them away. He also repeated 2 more times that nobody else had called to complain or they had no other reported cases. It only takes 1 tray of chicken go not be handled properly to get everyone sick. It could have been a number of things. Just because we got sick doesn't mean everyone else should be getting sick too. He also said I could call back on Wednesday and talk to the General manager Francisco. I do not need to call him, he should be calling me. How do you think it's ok to just treat people that way? I usually like going to Chilis but tonight was not a great experience for us. We ordered the 2 for $22. After about 10 minutes of waiting for our chips and guacamole she told us that the chips would be another 5 to 10 minutes wait. Okay I told her we will wait. After 10 more minutes she told us they are all gone again and would have to cook more taking another 5 to 10 minutes. We opted for the cheese fries. After our dinner was served my husband had noticed his sirloin steak with shrimp was missing the shrimp and ask for it. When she brought it out it was cold (like just pulled out of the fridge cold). Been going here since I was a kid and never had a bad experience. Last Friday we had a Hostess who told us it would be a 15-20 minute wait for anything. We sat and waited, and watched a group of 5-6 people come in. The same hostess gave them a table before us. Naturally I assumed they were seated at a table before us because of their size and possible reservations. After they were seated, another group arrived. A group of 2-3 people this time. Again, I believed they might have had reservations but they were seated at a booth when we were the next group to have a booth. The hostess seated them at a booth and I asked her if the last two groups had reservations as we were next on the waitlist. She replied with a no, and then turned away from me. Her coworker proceeded to ask her in front of me what I had asked her. The host told her I asked about the two groups seated before us and they continued to talk about it as if I wasn't there standing in front of them. They completely ignored me after that. I finally got seated after 45 minutes and 3 groups seated before us (who did not have reservations). When they seated us finally, the waitress we had did not bring us utensils, napkins and never acknowledged us when we said thank you to her for bringing us drinks. I thought maybe she was having a bad night but throughout the entire meal, she barely acknowledged us and took forever to get her attention. We made it known to her that the hostess we had treated us as if WE were the problem and how poorly they acted with their customer service. The waitress' response was, "That's how they always are," and then rolled her eyes trying to pretend like she semi-cared. My mother and I were appalled at the service and how we were treated. It wasn't not comfortable to eat and did not feel welcoming. Where is the management at night? We couldn't find a manager hardly and when we did, she was talking to the girls who were supposed to be working and was not making sure customers were getting the service they deserved. For the price, the food was undercooked and not warm whatsoever when I got it. I really wish I was making this up because it's too hard to believe, but I'm not. I went back tonight and prayed to get better service. Thankfully our waitress Alex was patient enough with us and helped with our order. She was absolutely awesome. Will not come back late at night though, Management is poor. Horrible food/service last time so gets two stars only thanks to Alex! read more

My family and I walked in to this place today to have lunch after shopping for my daughters birthday, no one acknowledged us when we walked in. There was no one even there to greet you. We stood there for about 10min then a rude young man come out and asked the guy who just walked in how many in his party. ??what? ? Are you serious? I had to speak up that was terrible customer service! Then he was rude once again with attitude saying "SORRY" so we finally were seated and I believe it was this kids manager she didn't even apologize she made an excuse they just sat a party of 10. Really this was early afternoon and they were not busy at all. Come on poor excuse, poor service! We got up and walked out because we still were not even asked if we wanted drinks after sitting there for another 10 minutes. We will never return! I have never had worse service. Chilis is a place I visit infrequently probably because it takes me a while to forget that it is sub par. Went in today since line was long at other places and it started well seated quickly, and server was very nice but it quickly went downhill. Ordered drinks and took a long time to get them and no straws. Then ordered the meals: one party ordered the crispers (and yeah far from any sort of crispy: rubbery and soft in the outside ) with mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were the best part of that meal except for the fact the waiter did not bring silverware and it was a solid ten minutes before we could track him ( or any other waiter) down to bring us some. I ordered chicken quesadilla which was good. However, then we ordered dessert and that's usually something I like: chocolate chip cookie skillet but it was aweful. It was completely burned ( black on top ) and we waited at least 10-15 min for the waiter to come by so we could tell him ( since someone else had dropped it off and wasn't seen again) but he never came. Finally we just got up and left ( after paying of course via the on table electronic device). I think the server had good intentions and maybe was too busy or something but yikes definitely won't be going here again. Sub par food and service overall! read more

I used to go to this restaurant every week, because I knew what I was getting, and it was always good... nowadays, you never know what you're going to get!!!... the ribs are now dry, and have very little flavor... the quesadilla has very little cheese and comes to the table as hard as a rock... the salsa with the chips and salsa is like water half the time, which means they've watered it down to make it go further... I don't want that at my table... the plain corn on the cob (side) I ordered with nothing on it, with a side of mayo, came to the table with so much black pepper on it, I had to wash it off with my water and napkin!!! I felt like I was doing dishes!!!... there are a few wait staff that should not do this for a job, because they don't check on you, they hide when your glass is empty, they get upset when you want to pay cash, and they have attitudes about what they think is correct... example:. I've ordered the fried dill pickles probably 70 times, and I know the recipe by now... they brought something to my table that didn't even resemble fried pickles although I could see a few pickles in there... it was a soggy mash of dough and pickles that was really unidentifiable... the server insisted they looked fine... even cried to the manager, because we were "being mean"... nothing was cooked properly at that table and there were 6 of us witnessing this atrocity... the manager felt sorry for his person crying, and we all didn't eat our messes, and just left... after we paid full price for all items... we won't be going back any more to this restaurant... Went their for the first & last time a few weeks ago. Walked in, girl asked bar or dining. We said dining. Her response, "Dining?" sounding surprised like okay. Then when she seated us she just said "Here you go." & walked away. It wasn't that busy but it took our waiter, who we had no clue was, 15 mins before he ever came to take our drink order which by tht time we already knew what we wanted. He had walked by us 6x including 3 other workers & not ONCE did any of them ever greet us or say "We will be right with you." My boyfriend got the unlimited enchiladas & throughout the whole hr we were there he only came twice to change the plates. Then the girl who took over saw tht I was pressed "Highly dissatisfied" on the survey after paying, instead of trying to make it better I saw her roll her eyes as she walked away. So anyone who plans to go there, I'd suggest you go to Olive Garden across the parking lot. read more

We went to Chili's after a family outing. Didn't want to cook and my husband wanted there used to be great fajitas. First off we had to wait for a table. Understandable on a Saturday night, but we saw numerous open tables so I was a little confused why we had to wait. We ordered drinks, one of which came out wrong. Ordered apps. Those took over 15 minutes. They were good. Then waited about 30 more minutes before our meal came out. We had no silverware so had to wait on it. My husbands fajitas were terrible and his guacamole never came. My sons bun was hard as a rock. The chicken on my salad was bland. Service was not very good, management very inattentive. Ive worked at a chili's and things have changed for the worse at a once great corporate restaurant. I'm a manager at a local restaurant so I know first hand how things should be run and Chili's in Seguin is terrible. I've been there about 7 times, but I can say I will never return. read more

I would give 0 Stars!! Chilis in Turlock, Ca. is almost a horrible experience every time. I am tempted to NEVER go back again. I went there with my granddaughter on 4/3/15 around 11 am. There were not many customers at the time, and the main hostess seated us at a booth in the bar area. It took over 15 minutes of servers/waitresses walking by and no one ever asked me to take my order. I kept asking the waitresses that were passing by if anyone was going to take my order. They kept passing the buck saying my waitress would be with me after she was done helping the other tables. When the waitress that I was told was going to help me walked by, I asked her if she was going to take my order. She preceded to tell me that my waitress was busy at the moment in the bathroom, helping clean up some throw up because someone got sick in the bathroom. That she would be with me as soon as she was done taking care of it. No one ever brought me water either. The waitress that told me this was very harsh and rude! Very disappointed. I got up and left and did not feel like having someone who just cleaned up vomit help me. NO Thanks. read more
