Everything was spectacular! C, the host did his best to get our large party of 16 seated as quickly as possible on a Friday evening. He stayed in contact with me to let me know she they were getting close to seating us. We also had a couple of concerns with our large party, and C and the General Manager Rosa did their best to accommodate us. Rosa also personally came to us and let us know that if we needed any other help we could ask for her. Now, our server Brady was just amazing! He took care of our table, kept checking on us, and kept up with the other tables too! I have only been to this one once, but we are willing to make this Chili's our regular place. We ordered the 2 for $25 and were CHARGED for each item separately and PAID $65 including tip I will definitely NOT return to Upland and chose NOT to call for a refund of the difference over charged AND if I go back to Chili's it will be in Montclair! On my last visit, I was charged $120 by mistake for a $55 meal. I was told my credit card would be credited in a day or so. After two weeks, it still had not been taken care of. Today, I called to speak to a manager to resolve the issue. I was placed on hold for 15 minutes and then dropped of the line. I called back and asked to speak to a manager again. I was told that they were busy and I needed to call back 3 hours later. I asked if there was a manager currently there on site. She said there was, but he was busy. The person answering the phone was not interested in talking with me, so instead of waiting for me to finish my sentence, she placed me on hold again. After about another 15 minutes on hold the system dropped the phone line again. I am disappointed that a manager, busy as they may be, can't take a few moments to talk with a customer on the phone. Maybe even for an employee to take a customer's phone number and have the manager return a phone call. read more

They clearly earned their three star rating. I used the curbside to go app to order my food. I get a reply saying my food is ready I come to curbside follow the instructions and then wait 10 minutes, finally I go inside and ask them why they haven't come outside the manager who seems slightly indifferent tells me she never got message that I had arrived. Im sure my food is cold. She offered to make me a new order which I accepted and I hope I don't get anything special in my order we all know that's possible. We sat at the bar. There were 2 female bartenders. One was our actual waitress also. Brenna was SUPER. Never caught the name of the one who made our drinks which were lame and disappointing. We went for the Margarita of the month. Think she not only left out the blackberry syrup since the drink was so pale but the alcohol was so watered down you couldn't even feel a minor buzz. I started choking on the sugar crystals from the glass rim and needed water, barely able to gasp out need water and that same bartendress just walked away even though she knew I was coughing and needed water and just went up to our waitress and told her to get us some. No regards for my health. Shame on her. The food was good, we all got the Triple Dippers. Not tempted to return as there are swirling gnats at the bar unless you bring an exterminator. With two different diets, Chili's has made it both affordable and pleasant to go out for a quick bite to eat without it being fast food. Whether you come here at night for dinner on a Friday night or you come in for happy hour on a Monday, the food quality, friendliness and overall experience is the same. Now it is a chain restaurant, so I am not expecting a 5 star review and 5 star quality service; however, this is a pretty average and standard Chilis. I sat in the bar area, and note it was not too busy, but it still took about 6 minutes for the waitress to come around and greet the table. Afterwards, took about another 10 min for the drinks to come out and lastly, 10-15 minutes for the food to arrive at the table. The waitress only came around twice to check in on the table and see how everything was going. However, like I stated in the beginning, this is a standard Chili's, so I can expect this at any location. read more

But, still nice. Initially, I wasn't too keen on the host. Kind of awkward. He asked us how many people were in our party. We told him that there were two. About 5 seconds later, he grabs two menus and says, "Right this way." My wife inquired if it is us. He didn't say anything but he took the couple who walked up after us. It was bizarre. But, we did get seated about a few minutes after. The manager stated that our server will be right with us and asked us if we needed anything. We said two waters and he was quick. Our server didn't approach us until about 10 minutes later. We were ready to order by then. She took our orders and we enjoyed our food. So no complaints there. Another server came midway and served us some more water. She didn't realize somebody took care of us. Which was fine; it saves us asking for a refill so we were fine with that. My son and family went to this Chili's tonight and asked me what I would like them to bring home for my dinner. I ordered their Ancho Salmon Cesar Salad, EXTRA dressing on the side. I have dietary restrictions so I texted that I can NOT have the chile rub on the salmon, nothing spicy. I've had their cilantro pesto before so I asked if that, and cilantro, and queso fresco could be put on my salmon. Alas, no such luck, I got plain salmon BUT it was very good and cooked just right. The romaine in the salad was okay, fresh enough but not great. The EXTRA dressing on the side? I got NO salad dressing SMH. I did get a container of parmesan. I had my own dressings at home but NOT a Cesar dressing ::sadface:: I made do. These mistakes? My son showed them my entire text. Can't read? I don't know... Disappointing. read more

Been at this Chilis multiple times... I usually get the steak, it's edible but nothing great. No flavor rally just a slab of meat. Then I get there mashed potatoes, for some unknown reason under their customization tab you can't ask for no onions. We went for early dinner Saturday 8/7 around 5:30 pm. The restaurant was busy but not super crowded. We used to go here weekly per pandemic but I'm not sure we will ever go back. The menu had food on it, the payment kiosk had food on it, the A1 sauce bottle was covered with sticky sauce. The server wanted us to use the kiosk to put out number in and use our discount when we first hit there and I politely said "oh, there's food on that". He apologized and said he'd have someone clean it. Ok. They returned it about a minute later and it was still disgusting. My picture is the "after" photo. Pre pandemic this would have been unacceptable. Now? Seriously how can you even trust a restaurant that thinks this is ok? I walk in and they have my corner table ready with a steaming hot pile of chips followed by freshly sliced and diced house salsa! I wash it down with a rippling swig of Diet Coke! Diet Coke is the gift from the heavens that chili's serves with such drive and such power! I get my crisp ceaser salad topped with finely aged cheese and a perfectly baked batch of croutons! It's really really sad that a big establishment has rude and slow moving service. How is it that a table of two - same party and only one gets the order they put in? From the host- the two young girls will bat eyes for the guys and will rudely tell you that you need to wait until she is ready to clean the bar tables. Cool no problem except you went and cleaned the table to seat the group of guys that just walked in right away. Zero waters on table requested 3 times. Why does it take asking three times for waters but again will get the table that is jointed with ours - same party . Shame on an establishment like chilis for this encounter . This chili's was good the food and table service, had the steak and it was cook very well juice and soft, we had a problem with my husband burger it was more pink then he would like, but our server(Carley)took care it very well, she give my husband a salad and checked on us a lot, our drinks were very empty and the table was always clear of the dirty dishes. The server was very polite and had good recommendations for food. Only problem I have is that they need to move everything off the table and wipe the whole all the way to wall. read more

Surprisingly decent! We've been to Chili's at different locations but they were expectedly horrible. This Upland Location was good. We were seated immediately, the server came and took our drink order within 3 minutes, the Chips & Salsa came to the table with drinks very quickly. Our server was very attentive and brought us refill without reminding her. My kids ordered hamburgers with fries: The meat was juicy and not dry like other locations!!! I ordered Caribbean Salad with Shrimp which was not bad at all. Shrimps were not dry and tender. Salad was crunchy and not welp. I honestly was surprised!! Do not come to the Chili's in Upland in the crossroads shopping center. If you want to go to a good Chili's go to the one in Chino Hills or Rancho Cucamonga. I am completely unhappy with my services here in Upland. I walked in and no one was at the front at the hostess counter to see me. I had to ask a waitress in the bar where's the hostess. She was very blase and acted like she could care less. The host finally came over, and he was blase. He seated me and no one came to take me order. I had to ask him for a server. The server was friendly and got me my drink (that is the El Presidente), it wasn't even full to the rim o (it normally is when I go to Chino Hills or Rancho Cucamonga Chili's). When I addressed it, he said the Manager told them not to fill it. What the heck? Then they brought it to me and brought the glass to me full of ice. Then the drink was going to spill all over the table. I had to ask for another glass. The Manager's name is Cali. I ordered my burger medium rare, when it came it was well done. I had to ask for straws twice. My server was very friendly, but never came back after serving me, to see if I needed anything else. He only asked me when he brought my food. I had to ask the host AGAIN for my server. I got frustrated, asked for a Manager (Cali), and all she said was; she'd take care of the bill. She never asked me did I need anything else nor, did she come back and check on me; nor apologize. No wonder when I walked in here, it was dead. There were hardly any customers. I can see why I highly recommend if you want to go to Chili's, go the one in Chino Hills or Rancho Cucamonga. The service is 10 times better. I won't be coming back here to the Upland one. read more

I've been to this location several times in the last few months. It's clean, open, spacious and delivers great service every single time. In comparison to the one in Rancho Cucamonga, this one is far better! We go way out of the way to frequent this location. As I mentioned in a different review about Chili's in San Diego, this chain knows a lot about value , quality and good service to get people into their doors! I must credit the management at this location. You've hired a great group of young people that are service oriented. The service is lightening fast and the food always comes out delicious and at the correct temperature. Aesthetics and cleanliness are always on point. My family and I have been ordering from this chili's to go every Friday for a few months now, there's usually some issue with our order like forgetting our dessert, something missing from the actual meals, or something not being cooked right. Tonight I was eating my dinner (I got the steak dinner with mashed potatoes and the street style corn with a Caesar salad.) As I was eating my mashed potatoes I found a large piece of plastic in my potatoes, this is the SECOND time I have found plastic in my food. My wife and I were very dissatisfied with the manager at our local Upland Chili's. We wanted to get the free chips and gauc(with the email offer) (without the Jalapeno's) and the manager said they make the gauc up fresh each morning(eating at 5:00pm ) but the gauc was too HOT with the Jalapenos so we requested it our free order to be without the Jalapenos or just with some mash avocado and the manager just gave us a smirk and said "I'm NOT going to do it", it takes too much time to do a single order that was when we said just the avocado mashed but he repeated "I'm NOT going to do it", with the definite smirk again. He started to walk away and I told him that we did not want the chips without the gauc and he took it and walked away and we never heard back from him again.
