    Taco bar and salsa

I really enjoyed this restaurant the chicken tacos. Chicken burrito was excellent. The chicken is all white breast shredded homemade the food is good reasonable not overpriced. Also it is clean.

    Burrito

They are not what they used to be. I GOT A Grande carne asada burrito with 10 percent meat and 10 percent beans, rest all rice, the same fir my wife's rice bean and cheese burrito. NOT WHAT THEY WHERE The Chile reno had almost no cheese

Small Mexican restaurant offering tasty fast food. Open early for folks like me is a big plus. Didn't wait long for my food. Gotta love a fresh salsa bar. I ordered ham and eggs with rice/beans. Very good and good portions. Delicious beans. The food was cooked right in front of me. Only downside was that they didn't provide me with utensils or hot salsa. I'm sure it was an honest mistake or I must have not read a sign stating utensils and salsa upon request. Other than that I was satisfied.

Fish taco. Still swimming in the tortilla

Fish taco served raw. Did not notice until got home. Taco still cold, batter falling off, not cooked thoroughly.

This place is a hit and miss. In comparison to other places, prices are reasonable for what you get. We usually order the carne asada burritos/tacos. The carne asada are prepackaged from the bag and reheated, which I was not aware until I saw the lady open the packaged and reheated on her grill. They are not freshly made. Sometimes it's too dry, probably from being reheated too much throughout the day. Ordering a large all meat doesn't necessarily get you more meat, you're paying more for a burrito that is now just missing the rice and beans in it. As you can see from my photo the different size of the two burritos and yet the cost for an all meat is more. As for staff, depending on which lady is taking my order, there is 50/50 chance I will get someone that is annoyed with slight attitude while other times it's a friendly person. This place is small with limited counter seating. It can get busy and crowded during peak hours, particularly, lunch time, but service tends to be quick. I have ordered tamales here in the past, the masa was so dry, the meat was also very dry and lacking flavor. Have not ordered it again since.

Perfect for avoiding the crowd. I ordered the "Accident #1" which is a Chicken Fried Steak, Gravy, 3 eggs and includes two sides. I chose the Country Potatoes and Homemade Biscuit. Delicious and generous portions. It was everything I was hoping for and left no crumbs behind. The service was warm, friendly and I also loved the retro diner vibe of the place. I left happy with my cravings satisfied!

I ordered a diced ham scramble with homestyle potatoes. The ham in the photo looked sautéed with some char, but in person it tasted more parboiled/warmed than actually cooked on the grill. The potatoes had an odd enchilada-style seasoning and were inconsistent, some were cold and chewy while others tasted fresh. A second dish we ordered came with hash browns, they were dry and underseasoned. The biscuits tasted more like sheet-pan biscuits than homemade. We also tried the "famous" coffee cake (lemon poppyseed flavor that day), but it was extremely tart to the point it made your mouth pucker. For $53 for 2 entrées at a diner breakfast, we expected much better quality and freshness. The concept has a lot of potential, but overall it felt overpriced and underwhelming.
