    The Big QP Burger
    Melody P.

Incredible prices! The 3 for me is a great deal. The QP burger seems like a 1 pound burger. Today my fries had pepper in it and it was so warm and crispy. Pat is an excellent server he's been working there like for ever. We got seated right away too.

My daughter and I stopped in for lunch on a busy Friday and had a great experience. We were greeted right away, which I really appreciated. Our host, Pat, was excellent he truly has all the great hospitality skills and made us feel welcome, as he always does. I just wish corporate would bring back the famous chicken fried steak. I miss it so much! Overall, everything was good, and we enjoyed our visit.

Haven't visited this location in years ,,, but I was really surprised. It was really crowded , but the wait time was only 15 minutes . The service was excellent and the restaurant was clean . The food was good , and for the price its really good, the amount of food we got for $30 was insane . I will definitely be going back , for the price and quality of food it's a yes for me .

I've been on a Chili's kick lately cause of that 3 for me deals they have! $10.99 for a big 1/2 pound burger fries and salad AND drink, plus a free order of chips and salsa with my Chili's club membership. ... it's free to join. I stop at a lot of different Chili's locations on my travels, but here the big news! Chili's has come out with a new burger on the 3 for Me deal for the same price of $10.99! It called the "Big QP Burger", basically a jab at Micky D's quarter pounder burger. QP short for quarter pounder? It's basically a bigger burger made to taste better than what's at Micky D's, OK, that's not hard, but to do it cheaper too! I ordered the QP burger with extra chopped red onions (free), along with fries and a side salad and a diet Coke. Compared to the Big Smasher Burger I usually get, this QP burger was a little less substantial. No lettuce or tomato, but it had lots of sauce, catsup, mayo and mustard. It was kinda of a softer burger in my mouth and more squishy. It was OK, but I think next time I'll stick to the Big Smasher burger, that has lettuce and tomato with it. The fries were wonderful as usual. The service here is fast and efficient, but they may have had to do with the fact that I got here right at opening 11 am and it wasn't super busy yet. The insides looked pretty much like most Chili's and was comfortable. I would come back here again if I was in need of lunch and looking for a killer deal on a burger. The new QP Burger was decent and meaty, but the big smasher is better for the same price.

Just say no. I mean I already know that their menu is limited but we went anyway because Sis wanted a cocktail...we all needed food. Anyway Service staff seemed very confused and inconsistent Drinks were consistent like don't get a second round Food...packed to go and thrown away. We ate chips salsa and guacamole.

Went here with a friend on a Friday night & it was packed. The server did their best but did forget our order of chips. Both me & my friend got the triple dipper( mozzarella sticks, big mouth bites and honey chicken crispers) the food came out looking delicious & tastes delicious. The mozzarella sticks were perfect, crispy on the outside & cheesy in the inside(the cheese pull was perfect). The big mouth bites were alright, the marinara sauce made it more tastier and flavorful. The honey chicken crispier was really crispy & flavorful with the sauce.

We had lunch on a somewhat busy Saturday at Chili's in Vacaville. ( Located in & around the outlets here) It was a good experience overall. Our server was friendly enough but we had to ask for everything. Drink refills, a spoon for the soup, napkins, more water, to go boxes. He didn't anticipate needs just responded to our flag downs. That said he got what we asked for. The restaurant is pretty clean and comfortable. Bathroom needed to be checked more however. The host/seater was fine. Baseball was on the TVs if that is your thing. The restaurant was full but not slammed. Noisy at times but mostly people celebrating so that is a positive thing. The food was delish. The burgers here are delicious as are the salads. The Potato soup was so flavorful & was topped with bacon, cheese and scallions. There is a "3 for me" deal that enables you to try an entree , starter and beverage at a discount. There are various options so see my picture to view them and the prices. The chips & salsa are tasty too. Make sure they come out warm for the best flavor. Lots of great drinks to be had from lemonades to beer to mixed drinks They do a heavy to go business as well so if you are wanting to eat at home order away. Pick up is easy here. Chili's is still going strong here

The beet salad was also delicious, and major appreciation to the kitchen for thoughtfully splitting it into four equal plates for sharing. Small touch, big hospitality points. The lemon ricotta pancake was the one slight miss for me. The powdered sugar ended up being the main character, overpowering some of the balance and richness I was hoping for. The fish tacos, however, completely redeemed things. Flavorful, fresh, and made even better by our incredibly thoughtful waitress, who had the kitchen prepare four tacos for sharing instead of the usual three. Those little gestures really elevate the experience. But the true standout of the meal? The Back Door Berry Bramble. Pure bliss in a glass. Made with seasonal local fruit purée, lime, grapefruit, orange liqueur, and vodka, this cocktail absolutely knocked it out of the park -- bright, refreshing!!!

Food: I ordered The Cowboy which consisted of eggs, waffle, and chicken fried steak. Everything was hot including the waffle. So nice! The waffle was a slight bit crunchy on top but really soft otherwise and it was delicious! The chicken fried steak was very tender and the gravy wasn't bad but it could have used a bit more salt. The coffee was a bit mild for my liking. Service: When I walked in there was no signage so I stood for a few minutes without acknowledgement. Finally a young man with light brown hair approached and looked at me but walked right past. When he passed again I asked if I was supposed to seat myself? He looked off and muttered "yeah it's going to be a few minutes" then he walked off. It didn't answer my question so I continued to stand until another server invited me to sit at a vacant table. The same young man was observed tossing the food and bussing the table of a nearby customer who had gone to the restroom. His server came to the rescue however by making him a plate to go. My actual server Mary was nice and tended to my needs but it was a bit of a wait between being seated, getting drinks, and placing the order. Overall its a strong 4 rating that could have been a 5 with a little more attentiveness from staff. Definitely recommend though!

On Friday around 5:30pm we were able to find parking out front on the street. You go in a side entrance which has a few outdoor tables and when you walk in, if you go right there is a bar area and left is the restaurant area. Looks like a place that families and older couples like to eat. We got there a little early so asked for a table for four. We were seated in about 5 minutes and while waiting for our friends ordered a drink. They offer beer, wine and cocktails. They have a large menu and have specials also. I ordered the Pear Collins and hubby had a beer. Once our friends arrived our waitress took our orders. We started with the Tequila Grilled Prawns and the World Famous Calamari. I ordered the Beet and Goat Cheese Salad and hubby had the Chicken Asiago Fettuccine. Our friend ordered the Pork Chop. The pork chop was huge and she said it was delicious. Hubby liked the pasta but although there was plenty of salad and beets, there was just a big glob of sour cream on top. Service was good and our waitress was very friendly and took good care of us.

After a few email exchanges they offered a certificate to come back. I told them that I don't think our friends would want to come back and declined the offer but I wanted to be clear that my issue is based on the service. Told her I was a former waitress and food reviewer, I received no response back. Dear Merchant Team, I wanted to share my experience from my visit this past Saturday with a party of four. It was our first time dining at Merchant, and while we enjoyed the brunch overall, I was disappointed with the portion size of the chicken fried steak. It was surprisingly small--about the size of my cell phone--which was not what we expected based on our previous experiences at other establishments. Additionally, the service during our visit was below expectations. It took approximately 30 minutes for our server to initially take our order, and we were not offered a full range of beverage options beyond champagne and cider. After informing the server that I do not drink alcohol and have an allergy to cider, there was no follow-up or alternative suggestion provided. We chose Merchant based on the fantastic reviews we read, so this experience was quite disappointing for us. Thank you for taking the time to review this feedback.

We were seated immediately, which I always appreciate. The space is pretty big with a modern feel, and there's plenty of parking out front (no circling the lot like a hawk -- love that). Even though they gave us the lunch menu, we went à la carte. Ordered: tandoori chicken, butter chicken, coconut shrimp, butter naan, and rice -- all medium spice where applicable. The tandoori chicken was tender and well seasoned -- no dry chicken nonsense here. The butter chicken was exactly what you want it to be: rich, creamy, tomato-forward, and comforting. But the one that caught me off guard a bit was the coconut shrimp -- creamy, slightly sweet, and a little more mild than "medium" heat, probably because of the coconut milk, but still really good. And listen... the butter naan? Fresh, warm, and absolutely necessary. Both the butter chicken and coconut shrimp were made for dipping. No shame in wiping those plates clean. Service was great. Staff was kind, checked in on us without hovering, and kept our water filled without us needing to flag anyone down. Overall -- easy, enjoyable lunch. Good food, good service, no complaints. Whenever we would go there,it was always a great happy dining experience and being in Dixon,it felt like a different world than the places in the Bay Area. As I grew up and moved to Sacramento area, the restaurant took on a much bigger meaning,it was my father's favorite spot to eat and it has always been the halfway point for my relatives who live in the bay and myself in Sacramento whenever we wanted to meet up for dinner. So yes I will always love Cattlemen's in Dixon for the memories alone. Let's talk about this particular recent visit. I made a reservation for a party of 9 at 6p. The parking at this location is plentiful as they have their own lot and even during its busiest times, there are always spaces available. When we arrived it was crazy busy and they told us it was going to be a bit for our table as they were running behind,so we headed to the bar to hang out and wait for our table. The wait ended up being over an hour after our reservation before we finally got our table. I was not thrilled at this but I was trying to make the best of a not perfect start to our dinner. The management and wait staff was very apologetic for the unexpected wait, which I appreciated. By the time we sat down we were ready to order immediately after having so much time to look at the menu while in the bar. In our family the most popular thing to order is the Original Steak Dinner for Two. We usually pair up with someone at the table and coordinate our order in that way. What that order gives you is a choice of 1 appetizer -Tumbleweed Onions -Artichoke Cheese Dip -Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail. On a night like tonight where we have multiple people ordering this, all the appetizers eventually get ordered and we kind of just share them all. Personally my favorite is the Artichoke Cheese Dip. Then for the Entree each of you get to choose one of the following -9 ounce Prime Rib -6 ounce Filet Mignon -Half Rack or Pork Ribs -14 ounce NY Strip Steak -Grilled Salmon -Steak and Shrimp Scampi My personal favorite here is always the 14 ounce NY Strip. And finally we get to pick one of 3 desserts. -Deep Fried Apple Pie -Cowpie Brownie Sundae -Pete's Pan Cookie My personal favorite is the Brownie Sundae but I'm usually so stuffed,I generally have to take my dessert home,so I almost always select the Deep Fried Apple Pie as it reheats the best at home. This order for two runs $84.99. I find it to be a pretty good value for all that you get. I failed to mention with this order we also get their yummy bread service, unlimited salad and also baked beans. Once the food arrived,it was all very enjoyable,I've always been a fan of their steaks and this visit was no different-very juicy and tasty and cooked to a perfect medium rare. The manager stepped up and comped all the appetizers on our bill to make up for the one-hour delay-their team is always so good at taking care of their customers. Overall, even with the rocky start,we had a very enjoyable dinner experience and look forward to the next time we are able to get out to Dixon to have some Cattlemen's again.
