Would give 0 stars if I could. We were a large group of about 10 and came to chili's for apps and drinks and were gratefully mistreated. Every single waiter and waitress had a chip on their shoulder and were incredibly rude to us- even to the children in our group. They complained about us loudly (which was no fault to us but on their part) right next to us. I have never felt to unwelcomed when we easily brought over $200 in revenue tonight. This Chilis is sometimes hit or miss, which is frustrating considering they often have great bar drink and bar menu item deals. In any case, I'll continue with my review - came here often with bf while we both attended WNEC, their service is usually sub par because you'll likely want to sit in the "bar" area (still a part of the restaurant and not just bar seating, the tables are just grouped closer to the bar and I think it actually sort of looks better over in this area) and you'll likely get ignored by your waiter at least part, if not all, of the time. Aside from that, the deal is usually good and you can take your pick of a lot of menu items at usually half off and drink standard margaritas for 3.99 and blue moon beers at 2.99. What's good: - bar menu/discounted chips and salsa (unlimited) - sliders - the standard nachos w/o meat - for some reason they don't taste as good with either chicken or beef on them, seems counterintuitive, but that's how it is (around $4 during their bar specials - which happen often! something like bar specials in the afternoon, after 9pm and all day Sundays...) - boneless wings - blue moon at 2.99 - fried cheese (aka mozzarella sticks) - can't really mess this up And although I haven't had the lunch specials, I hear they're good and really cheap. So depending on how you feel and whether or not it's late at night (Chili's is usually open later than most chain restaurants), this is a good pick because you'll enjoy cheap bar menu prices and have pretty good fried and/or greasy appetizers/entrees. And it goes without saying that Chili's is the sort of chain restaurant you go to when you want to have their type of food, aka sort of greasy and usually fried. It's all pretty much comfort food...so if you feel like healthier options, this probably isn't the best choice, though you could probably create some sort of "healthy"-esque meal, but why would you want to at a Chili's? In sum: go if it's late, or a sunday, you want fried food and you want to take advantage of happy hour prices when it isn't happy hour anymore elsewhere. Go with patience though because as I mentioned above - the service is usually lacking and you'll have to ask more than once on occasion to get your server's attention. read more

We walked in and the first sign we saw was we are short staff. We were immediately sat down and about three mins later the waiter came over and took our drink order. Chilis is a classic lunch go to for us! I've been coming to this specific location since I was 4 years old. Today we went again for lunch and I decided to support this location with a good review after having a great lunch here! I ordered the Old Timer burger with a black bean patty and no onions. It came with onions but it's such an easy thing to fix myself and they even asked if we wanted them to comp my meal or send it back. Like who the hell requests that much of a refund for such a small fix?! Our server was super friendly and we made some conversation with him. I wish I caught his name and I would give him a shoutout. The only thing is that there is a sign in the waiting area and on the door that says PLEASE WEAR YOUR MASK TO PROTECT THE EMPLOYEES, OTHER DINERS, AND YOURSELF. Literally me and two other people were the only ones wearing masks. All of the other diners were not. The employees were though and it made us feel more comfortable. The chips and salsa is great! The chips came out hot and super crispy! The salsa has a tiny bit of a smoky kick (which is great) and a mild spicy taste! My burger was amazing and it tastes and looks exactly like the Morning Star black bean burgers which ARE amazing and the fries are seasoned well. Instead of being on their phone. Or pouring leftover beverages into their cups. Or being in bathroom multiple times. Manager Dave. Didn't even apologize for the wait or the bs we encountered. Took 20 minutes to get the check. The men's bathroom was full of mold. Just a god awful experience. I get it's Saturday. It's busy. But like I said. Smelling each others armpits was more important. We have been there before, actual date was October 22, 2018 and the service was horrendous. We vowed to never return, however we were in the area and hungry so we gave it another shot. We were greeted right away and shown to our seats promptly. Right there is 100%improvement from our last experience as we stood for several minutes and then had to chase down a server to be seated at a dirty table. Our server came right over to greet us and offer beverages. She joked with us a bit before taking our order. She checked on us twice. She was terrific, and we were shocked to learn it was only her second day. Thanks to Aledia, she made our experience 5 stars. The wait staff is almost always very friendly and polite. The restaurant is clean and inviting. But like any family friendly place you could end up next to a screaming child. (Parents fault, NOT your waiter. So don't let that effect how you tip!!!). Many food options. From low calorie diet friendly. To fried pickles, or onion strings, cheese! I really like their dry rub ribs, as well as their steak fajitas. But their burgers are way better than I expected. And the citrus balsamic salad dressing it great on a side salad or the quesadilla explosion salad! They have some tasty deserts as well. I almost forgot to mention, they have some tasty margaritas!! Lol If you are going to eat there Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night. You should definitely call ahead to check the wait time, and added your name to the waiting list if there is one. It will save you a good amount of time waiting. I've been eating at the West Springfield Chili's for the past 10 years or so. And I've really never been disappointed. I live locally and never choose to dine at a chain eatery. I made the mistake of going to Chili's this past Monday. We were told 20 to 25 minutes to be seated. It was well over an hour with no apologies given. While waiting, I used the restroom. It was very dirty with paper towels and toilet paper on the floor. I wanted to leave but my husband had been seated by then. I don't know why we weren't seated. Many customers walked out. The app gets people seated out of order. There were lots of empty tables. The server was quite defensive and told us the kitchen was backed up. Chili's needs to remember that we are customers and have choices. Our choice is never to go there again. For a spot not so far from I-91 I will say this got a bit of good meals & such. I today dined here & my spot since I was solo was the bar & my observance was this bit having a bit of spirits with yes the high-end spirits/beers & such so if you opt to get wet (if you get my lingo) you all set. Now for the meal I did I had a $10.00 ecard so I was looking for a good meal for the money & the server got me the bit; she called for a soft beverage, salsa & chips & a 6-ou. steak with mashed potatoes and fries (I could've gone a corn on cob but wasn't in the mood today). The mashed potatoes were a bit with cheddar cheese, chives & bacon bits and normally I'd not do that but in this case I was "hey heck" & wound up very good. The options this one gives is pretty good because this does Tex-Mex, American, pub-fare & yes desserts. Atmosphere this was good since I got to sit as I opted & though I did the bar this one has the TV's so you can watch sports you opt (like this time of year baseball) Now you got the bit & hey if you are in the Riverdale St. area or need something off I-91 & looking for Tex-Mex/American/pub-fare here's a option for you. read more

Husband and I came in a few weeks ago after many unpleasant visits to this Chili's location to "give them one last try" and again they could not measure up!! Sat at the bar and our server/bartender was good. The food, restrooms and cleaniness FAILED! Bathrooms were dirty. Tables in bar area dirty. Silverware dirty. My husband order chicken fajitas that were not even sizzling and skillet was cold. We could not even eat at the same time. No manager came to over to us, to address the problem with the food. There were many servers hanging out at the bar area chatting and using cell phones. We could see into the kitchen and I watched a kitchen staff person touch his butt then attend to food with no gloves. We agreed dinner was done at this point and we were horrified. My husband and I will NOT be returning and we were unsure if we should report this to the board of health. read more

When we first entered the restaurant there was no hostess. Eventually one showed up but she said to wait and she proceeded to go clean tables. Finally got a seat and eventually a waitress showed up to take our order. We ordered drinks and appetizers. When the food arrived they brought chips and salsa instead of the chips and spinach dip. I explained to the waitress and she said she would take it off the bill. She did take it off the bill but charged us for the chips and salsa that I did not order. There were no side plates or napkins provided with the appetizers. I went and got the napkins myself at the bar and asked the waitress for side plates. Mid way through the meal I went to the men's room and it was absolutely disgusting. Dirty, toilet paper all over the floor and urine on the floor. The food was actually pretty good but the drinks were very weak. When we went to check out the waitress told us to use electronic device on the table. That thing was very dirty and I was not happy about using it. Anyway, we did use it and it actually locked up multiple times and took us at least ten minutes to check out. Today 10/28/2018 we were celebrating my birthday with my family. I ordered to go so that we could celebrate my birthday in the comfort of our home. When we got home and took out our food I noticed that my order wasn't completely correct. I called the restaurant (413)-746-8827 and dialed option 3 to speak with the manager. I was placed on hold and ended up waiting over an hour on hold without anyone ever returning to the phone. This is by far the worst customer service I've ever encountered in any restaurant. I rarely leave reviews, but this situation infuriated me. Not only did they mess up my order and did nothing to fix it but they've had me on hold for over an hour! Did not like my experience, cheese fries were not well, like a few years ago when they were chilli fries, plus my entre was cold not all of it. I order a steak and chicken fajita dinner, when the hot plate came to my table the rice was cold while everything else was sizzling, how do you explain that, plus the beans were horrible, it look like vomit in a clogged sink. Pretty good for a chain restaurant. We mostly get good meals here. The staff is great, very friendly and attentive to their customers.

I usually consider this location the "good" Chili's in my area. Tonight things weren't so good. The restaurant was full, but not crazy busy. Our server was very off-putting from the get-go; aggressively putting both hands on the table and leaning over it to take our order, and then questioning my companion's order multiple times. We upgraded to the Patrón margaritas which were horrible. It took 10 minutes to get the server's attention and ask for replacements. (At this point it became apparent the server had a cold and she repeatedly coughed into her hands.) When the appetizer FINALLY came out of the kitchen (just chips and guacamole), the server SNEEZED all over it and still set it down on the table. I asked to speak with the manager and told him what had happened. They replaced our chips and guacamole and arranged for a new server who was absolutely awesome. And the replacement margaritas -- they came with salt even though we had asked for no salt. And the ill server kept right on coughing, sniffling and sneezing while taking orders and delivering food. read more

Seemed like there were maybe 5 or 6 servers but they were literally RUNNING from table to kitchen and back. Restaurant appears overwhelmed. I ate there a few times about 10 years ago and wasn't impressed. I received a gift card to Chili's for Xmas so I had to return and was eager to see if anything had changed. I was greeted and seated by the manager, who spent at least five minutes at my table "educating" me about how "fresh" their food was, explaining how to use the tabletop tablet computer and being borderline invasive almost to the point where I became uncomfortable. But I put up with it. I wasn't ready for what the waitress did when she first came over to the table. I was dining alone, and she slid into the other side of the booth and sat down while took my drink order and discussed the menu. Don't get me wrong...she was VERY attentive, pleasant and eager to please...I just thought again it was a little overpowering. Why were these people overly personable....what were they overcompensating for, I wondered. I ordered an $18 meal of ribs, "loaded mashed" and steamed broccoli. It arrived after an acceptable wait. However, no rolls or bread were offered. The serving of mashed was small and seemed like it was instant potatoes with chunks of real potatoes added in to fool me into thinking they were real. The broccoli was OK.....just steamed, as the menu described they would be. The ribs were lacking in sauce, and it appeared that there were absolutely NO seasonings used on the meat when it was cooked. If there hadn't been BBQ sauce, there would have been very little flavor at all. Chili's only has two BBQ sauces to choose from....one that is heavily flavored with BEER, and the other which is flavored with Doctor Pepper soda. I chose the latter, and found it to be inferior to most other BBQ sauces I have had elsewhere and have used to grill with at my house. I gave the manager my feedback. He did his job and accepted it thankfully. We both knew that he was powerless to change the company formula for serving, portion size, or food preparation. I invited him to try a BBQ restaurant I like much better than Chili's. Try Texas Roadhouse.....there is NO comparison. I spoke with several people at other businesses I stopped at on my way home from Chili's. They all had the same opinion...Chili's is average at best. read more

I usually enjoy Chili's, but I will second guess my decision to attend this particular location from now on. It was a very unpleasant visit to say the least. My family and I went into the restaurant shortly after noon time for lunch. We were greeted and seated immediately. The waitress introduced herself, welcomed us with menus, and promptly took our orders. A minor issue here was we sat in a booth that was more than likely just cleaned. The cushions on both sides were still wet. No big deal. As we were looking over the menus we noticed a young infant sitting in a high chair by themself at a booth nearby. If we were to guess...possibly 6 months to a year old. This child was fussy and crying with no adult in sight. At this point our party became alarmed as to why a child this young was left unattended. We received our appetizer as this was going on. We began to eat and were having a tough time enjoying our meal wondering who is with this baby. A short time later an employee walked by and quickly stuck a binky in the baby's mouth and proceeded to walk away. This went on for a little while more until another employee finally sat down at the booth with the child. We were very concerned about this and did speak with a manager later on. The store manager was not in the building so we spoke with the acting manager. The manager said she was aware the baby was in the building but asked in return what she was suppose to have done about the situation. We were quite surprised at this response and felt this was very irresponsible. As for our lunch ... the food was nothing to complain about ... that is, once we received the correct order. We had food dropped at our table that was not our order. The waitress finally realized her mistake and took the food away. We then received our meals a short time afterwards. After we received our entrees, I was brought over the soup I had ordered to have prior to my main meal. A little too late if you ask me. In closing, I do understand that mistakes can happen but they can also be prevented. A child should not be left unattended for numerous 10-15 minute spans in a public restaurant. There are multiple reasons why this could have gone bad and every parent would attest to that. It was in poor judgement by whomever was in charge and I am hoping they will prevent this from happening in the future. And as for now, this will be my last visit there for quite some time. read more

I went there last night and there was about a 30 minute wait. I gave them my phone number to be notified when a table for 2 was available. That was around 530pm. It is now 11:30am the next day and still never was noticed about our table being ready. If we were stupid enough to wait and not find somewhere else to eat we would have waited forever. At one point after about 45 minutes had passed, we went back in to see when we could be seated and the hostess said about about 25 minutes. At that point we left. I would not recommend. Applebee's came through though and sat us instantly. read more

HORRIBLE service !!!! My family and I waited 15 min before a waiter actually attended to us. The bar section was filthy. Almost every table was occupied with dirty dishes , utensils and glasses. The only way new customers were able to sit in the bar area was if they (the customer) cleaned the table off themselves. I am not exaggerating! The service was slow, the food was gross. The Manger was called to the table behind us and after hearing the complaints about their food , she ignored the fact nearly all the tables in that particular area were filthy. The entire time. I'm not sure if they were short of staff but the service and food were less then a 1star. I have eaten at the establishment in the past and I have never experienced such bad customer service. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. I am not sure if it's just this location or a company trying to cut corners but we had an awful experience here tonight. The pictures advertised in their menu resemble absolutely NOTHING you actually get. The portion sizes have significantly decreased. My son literally had about 10 fries on his plate when it came out. Our food was mediocre. We never got chips and salsa like every other table. We were never offered drink refills. Our waitress then came to us and told us that there was a party of 16 coming in and if she wasn't around much that was why. I understand that a large party requires a lot of assistance but I am paying the same price for my food as they are. As soon as they came in we failed to exist. I had to call the manager over to get us our check after waiting 45 minutes after we were finished eating to leave. The manager was kind and apologized, but then proceeded to say to me "well since your in a hurry, I'll check on your bill". Um, no. After 45 minutes of waiting, I want my check or I'm going to leave without paying. I definitely won't be back. Chili's is nothing more than a glorified friendlys. Ugh. Don't waste your money. Over the weekend my family and I had attended a wake. After the wake we were all emotionally exhausted and hungry. We called chilis and asked if they could host a party of 17 with little to no notice. Surprised they said of course and asked for 20 minutes to set up. When we arrived the wait staff and management were already getting our table together. We were all seated, and the waitress asked if we would like separate checks. This made it a lot easier at checkout. Chips and salsa were immediately placed at the table without an ask and re-filled as soon at they were gone. Once all our orders were taken, the staff started to bring out our drinks, waters and coffees, 10 minutes after that our appetizers were brought out. I must say the staff worked so seamlessly. Our party ordered mostly steak, each asking for a certain way to cook it (rare, medium rare, well). The manager joked and said he had a bet with the cook -if he had all the steaks cooked to order he'd get something. Let me tell you, out of the 14 or so steaks. Not one of them was incorrect. All of our bills were tallied appropriately and we received a discount for staying at a nearby hotel. I want to say that this is the best experience I've ever had at a chain restaurant and it's all owed to the management and staff. FLAWLESS job. Thank you. read more

The Chili's in West Springfield, MA was outstanding! It was a lot to ask for a reservation of 25 on Cinco De Mayo, and this restaurant not only welcomed our service, but made it an unbelievable experience. Our server Jasmine was funny, accommodating, totally on top of our orders, was able to accommodate separate checks, and made the experience! She is by far the best waitress I've ever had at any restaurant. She was part of the fun surprising my boyfriend with a birthday dinner on his 21st birthday, and I cannot imagine what our experience would have been like without her. I cannot thank her and the entire staff at the West Springfield location enough. Chili's has easily become my favorite restaurant, the food and drinks were amazing, and the service was beyond outstanding. Thank you for creating an unforgettable meal! read more
