The service at this Chili's is very server-based. If you get a good server who cares, your meal will be perfect. If you get one who is harried or having a bad day, forget it, the most common and easy items will be wrong. The same server on a different day can be good or bad. And it's totally random if a manager will attempt to salvage a bad dining experience or just let it slide. I go there often so they know me, but that doesn't stop them from completely screwing up my food every few visits. The pizza is either raw or burnt, they can't seem to cook it properly, whether it's the tiny lunch size or the larger one. The fajitas come with so much of that horrible black "sizzle juice" (liquid salt & grease, it seems to be) that they are inedible, and even without the extra juice the flavor of it still lingers on the meat. Lately they have been changing the menu very often and not for the better. For a few days the menus had calorie counts and then those menus vanished. The management has also been changed, and it seems like each manager has different rules, like splitting a bill to use two coupons, or getting a bowl of soup to go and getting charged the full price because there's no entree to go even though an entree was eaten in the restaurant on the same bill, or getting happy hour food to go. The rewards on Foursquare also keep changing, so you go there expecting a certain item (free chips or dessert or nachos) and it's gone. They allow children of all ages into the bar area, which I find very annoying. Other Chili's have strict over 21 for the bar area, this one only applies that to sitting at the actual bar itself. There is supposed to be free WiFi but it never works. The new Skillet Cookie dessert is excellent and has salvaged several bad meals for me and my friends/family. We walked into the bar and had to wait for someone to clean a few spots for us to sit. The bar on either side of us was never cleaned and left a mess. The manager watched all of this and said nothing. I ordered a cheeseburger well-done. It came out rare. The manager gave me a hard time when I asked him to cook it again. Never again will I return to this Chili's. Time and again I've given them a chance, and each time they screw it all up. Overall, as far as chains go, I kind of like Chili's and I feel I've probably given these folks more chances than I should have, simply because they are my local venue and I really hoped they would improve. Stupid Me. Their service is slow, often rude, and routinely screws up orders. I'd previously stopped going here in person in favor of take out because of the bad service. Unfortunately, I've come to find out that their penchant for incessant errors applies to take out as well. They have no quality control and they don't bother to check outgoing orders for accuracy. There is no reason why we should receive the wrong sides (beans, when we ordered mashed potatoes) or have missing sauces (no pepper gravy). Now, the management TRIED to help by comping a meal when these errors in one order were brought to someones attention. Skip ahead two week and we try again, claiming our comped meal. What happens? This was the worst experience at a restaurant. They first overcharged our party and threw away our to-go meal when we left it by accident. Right as we stepped out we remembered and went to get it. When we got there it was gone and they said they could make us another one IF WE PAYED FOR IT. To remind you it was a full meal and we payed for all of it. So here's how I see it. You know it's a chain, you know what you're in store for....constant employee turn over which can cause service issues, some days will be good some will be bad. Also they seem to change their menu randomly to remove their best items just to try something new hoping to get customers back in not realizing why they left... Bottom line you know what Chili's is good for and what it isn't so use your best judgment. What do they have going for them? Location, Decent happy hour selections times and prices, and beer that's pretty much it. Little disappointed my last time around. Used to come here all the time and always had speedy service and left full. My favorite was the sliders with onion rings and jalapeno ranch on the side, but to my surprise they didn't have the onion rings with it anymore. The waitress said that they would charge extra to add it as a side, but what happened to coming with the meal? Aside from that, the parking lot is horrendous. There were a few mix ups on the bill and it took a while to get the waitress there in the first place. Overall, I would return for a party or event, but I feel that my beloved onion rings with a burger at a decent price are a chain wide departure. Well we were reluctant to eat here and we should have just followed our instincts. So, I came here last night with my small party of 3. We sit and we all order burgers. Our food comes and fries our lukewarm at best and the burgers just weren't very good anyhow. So, the issue is my brother finds a hair in his fries, we call the waiter over and we tell him what we find so he looks at it and says "ok, I'll get you some more" At that point, I say well aren't you going to take the plate? Which is what most servers would do, Right? Well nope! He had the AUDACITY to reach his nasty hand into my brothers plate to remove the fries that had hair on them, while the rest of his food was still on his plate. I looked at him and told him he couldn't be serious, and he said well didn't you ask me to remove the fry. So, now just take the entire plate burger too. He brings replacement fries those were old and cold. We ask for more and finally those come out hot along with a new burger. Just the facts. No employees in sight when we entered, took 5 minutes to be asked if we needed help. We were seated in an aisle where a large party of at least 12 had been, their pushed together tables were piled with dishes, leftover food and litter. It would stay that way for a least the next half hour. The floor in our row had paper and straw wrappers scattered around. Our waitress was pleasant but we waited 30 minutes to get our food, even then my vegetables weren't ready yet and were brought separately a few minutes later. I ordered a combo with chicken and shrimp, the shrimp are much smaller than they used to be, like tiny. This dinner is no longer worth the $17.99 they charge. We ordered the molten chocolate cake, tried it and discovered the fudge center, which is supposed to be molten, wasn't. It was still a solid hockey puck shape. We told the waitress about it and since we weren't going to eat it, asked for it to be removed from the bill, which had been presented before dessert arrived. The waitress apologized profusely and offered to bring another or give us one to take home. We said no thanks and she re-calculated the bill. Waited 20 minutes to place an order.. staff just walked around aimlessly. 45 minutes after asking the waitress twice where the food was we got the "our kitchen staff is new please bear with us" as we see people left and right get food delivered. Our food comes. Kids meals overcooked/burnt and our "adult" meals (shrimp tacos and chicken enchiladas) looked like they sat under a heat lamp for a half hour. The staff is nice and the service is quick, but the food - just OK, not mind-blowing but not awful. Stopped by here for a quick lunch with the hubs on a Sunday early afternoon. It wasn't busy at all, the food came out at a reasonable time. We ordered two classic bacon cheeseburgers and buffalo wings for an appetizer. I have gone to this Chili's many times with my daughter. It seems like the last 6 months it has become worse and worse! If you go there after 8 p.m. be prepared to be rushed finishing your dinner. Every time we go they start cleaning..I mean sweeping up so that you have to cover your dishes...banging of chairs and tables..and the smell of spray cleaner. I ordered a drink from the bar that was suppose to have celery and lime but it didn't....the whole glass was wet with tomato juice that it nearly slipped out of my hand! When I tasted it I thought it had a bad taste like something was old and somewhat of a smell like a cleaning substance. We both ordered fajitas and both servings were completely different in size proportion. One looked like it was a childs portion and it had fried onions and just 2 tiny pieces of red pepper. Chili's isn't my first pick of restaurants, but I've frequented this location many times. I receive free AMEX reward gift cards for Chili's and it close to travel to. I've had a little of everything, and while it's usually good. My food is always prepared correctly, food has never been an issue. I like it just enough to want to use my free meal cards on a regular basis. Overall, the only bad experience at this location is with the bartender staff who were rude and had attitudes. I always call ahead to find out who is bar-tending. If two particular females (doesn't have anything to do with gender) are bar-tending, I go elsewhere. friendly. Regardless of the bartender, when I sit at the bar, I ALWAYS have to ask for the spot to be wiped down due to the crumbs and water/drink marks from the previous person. Seems they should automatically wipe down the bar. Just my two cents. Incidentally, customers at 99 Restaurant (down the street) also skip Chili's due to the bartenders mentioned above. Two stars for the edible food. Zero stars for the service. This is the second time this year that I walked in to find it practically empty and with no one at the front to seat us. The first time, we waited ten minutes and left. This time, we waited ten minutes and flagged down the one waitress working the entire restaurant. There was also a bartender who could see us if he felt like it, but he was busy serving two whole customers. The waitress gave us the excuse that she was the only one working and she would get to us. She noticed us when we first came in and said nothing. She could have seen us and said, "Be right with you guys." And we would have stayed. Apparently it's too much to ask that when people come into a restaurant they wait until the waitstaff is ready to acknowledge them and then seat them when it's convenient for them. After waiting another five minutes, we left. I won't be coming back. Plaza Azteca across the street seated us right away and there were actually fewer customers having lunch, yet they were fully staffed. Glad to see the manager at Chili's is so successful at having as few people working as possible, that you don't get any customers. Genius! read more

This is our go-to spot to eat out for the night. We always get top notch service from the wait staff in the bar seating area. They are SO fast and efficient and have the best personalities you could ask for! They are bubbly, genuinely interested in serving you, and quick to clean/set tables as you walk in. The food quality is always what we are wishing for, as are the drinks. This location has such a great atmosphere and we have NEVER had a bad experience. I've been to other Chili's and none compare to this one. This will forever be our favorite date night spot for a quick and delicious evening out. read more

For years I've been a customer of Chili's. Thursday was finally my last night. I have given this place multiple chances, more than any restaurant should be allowed. We ordered ToGo and I requested my burger to be well done. When I bit into it, it was raw. I couldn't eat it and I was not going all the way back to return it, so I tossed it. My son wanted one of the new pizza's. When I saw the price, I was hesitant, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to try. This pizza was the size of one of those Celeste frozen pizza's you get at the grocery store. Not as thin, but it really didn't matter. For $11, I could have gotten a large pizza from a good restaurant. But the icing on the cake was when I was getting into my car, another car came speeding around the corner and I had to grab my car door and close it because the person almost hit it. When I looked to see who the psycho driver was, she didn't even flinch and threw her cigarette towards my car. She was a waitress there. This staff sucks!!! They seem more concerned with flirting with male staff than serving customers. It's rare to find good service here and the management is less than accommodating. It's pretty clear that the managers here didn't need a high school education to get their job. There are so many more restaurants around now that I would rather spend my money in. Chili's sits in the drive way of one of our big box home improvement stores and all the grocery, clothing and restaurants in our area in suburban Hartford and New Haven county. I wish that there was an option for less than one star. I understand that this happens to be a chain restaurant and you usually get that sort of service but this review has just been a long time coming. Tonight I attended Chili's with two very close friends of mine. We enjoy going out to eat because it's a time for us to bond. It was early afternoon when we arrived, it wasn't so busy so this meal should have gone off without a hitch. Hah. That's a joke. First our waitress was brisk, she proceeded to ask us if we'd like to order while one of our friends was still in the restroom. Oh yes waitress, let me mind read what she'd like while she's using the facilities and hasn't even browsed your subpar menu. Have I mentioned we only chose Chili's because it's convenient? So we finally get our food ordered eventually after some hard... Harrddd decisions. We decided on chips with Ranch, the bacon and Ranch quesidillas, an interesting burger that was new, and the bacon avocado chicken sandwich. Both the burger and the sandwich were lunch combos. I went with the chicken enchilada soup and my friend went for the clam chowder. Now when doing our orders there were a few changes Wed made. Apparently the waitress had a hard time understanding no tomato and no mustard as it took her various times to get my order straight. A penguin could have taken my order better.. Finally the food arrives and this is where it's really honestly just a joke. My food was fine as was friend ones food. Friend two on the other hand got a sorry excuse for an avocado sandwich. Pictures WILL be included. It was pathetic and scrawny. I don't even understand how this slice could even be considered worthy to be put on the sandwich. When we called over the "waitress" we asked to have more slices of this "avacado" and she had the balls to say "Oh well it's only half a sandwich.... That's all you're supposed to get" First off that was rude. The customer is always right and if I want more fucking avocado you kiss my ass say yes ma'am and get it. Finally we get the goddamn avocado and she makes some joke like oh look he was generous this time. He gave us two. We finish. We pay we go home. Friend two now has food poisoning. So it was either the clam chowder or the avacado. Nice job Chili's. Your move. You should really give your workers a talking to or clean up your act. I've always witnessed your employees picking up fallen French fries and putting them on plates or straight up eating off people's food plates.
