Only decided to give it another shot since we were in Virginia Beach and ate at a Chilli's there and the food was awesome. Well the Warwick location was worse in my opinion than it was a year ago. So we got a waitress who seemed to be counting down the hours until she got out of work and couldn't crack a smile if you put the jaws of life in her cheeks. We brought our 96 year old grandmother here who is a bit of a comedian, and the waitress couldn't even chuckle at her smoking her french fries as cigarettes and wearing her onion rings as earrings. I understand that they are short staffed but when the staff is rude & ignoring you that is unacceptable. Went for an early dinner & no one greeted us. When I finally asked someone I was told there would be a 15-20 min wait. During that time there was a shift change & another hostess proceeded to ignore us. We finally were seated. Our server apologized & took our order. Another 15 min went by and we noticed that another party that came in after us already had their apps & we were still waiting for our drinks. We were upset at wasting all of that time & went down the road to On the Border where we got an excellent meal with superb service. We sat at 9:30 tonight and started ordering drinks with the bartender and mid order the bartender cut me off and told my friends and I that he couldn't serve us because "we looked too fucked up" I don't understand how you could make that assumption within 2 minutes of talking to me. I've never had chilis before due to people telling me how awful they are and decided why not give it a shot for the rib eye steak so I ordered one cooked rare to medium rare. Sadly I should have listened about poor food quality. I received an over done steak, cooked so much it was dry and unappealing, the garlic butter couldnt help it. So I gave it to the old pupper and I kid you not he didnt even want to finish it. I surely will never make this mistake again. So I'm not one to write reviews but decided to go here for something to eat. We got there at 6:45-6:50 put our name on the wait list then told us 45 minutes. No problem I work in the industry I understand. We called to check how much longer the wait would be at 7:40 and they said 15-20 minutes, again no problem. 8:25 comes around and still no text saying our table is ready. I don't even know where to begin. My boyfriend and I came at night on Veterans Day - we sat at the bar. We sat down and had multiple people walk by us without even saying "hi". The bartender re-made a girls drink over before even acknowledging us. He took the dirty water glasses off the bar from the people before us and finally said "what can I get you to drink". The bartender comes over and asks if we're ready and my boyfriend said "can we start with the blooming onion pedals" and the Bartender said "we don't have blooming onions". --SO I correct myself and say "the onion pedal things" and he turned around and rung them in... I'm sorry but maybe correcting us would have been better than making us feel stupid. Whatever. They come out ten minutes later - cold. We eat them anyways. We order and our food comes out - the food was fine. The bartender is to busy with doing To-Go orders rather than taking care of bar guests. The group next to us sat there with empty beers for at least twenty minutes. Finally, when he comes back we ask for a box and a ranch to go and the check. He walks around the entire bar, then to the bar area, then comes back and starts cleaning. I got up to go to the bathroom, came back and he still didn't give us a ranch or the check. Just a box. We ask again - he rolls his eyes and walks back into the the kitchen. He comes back and hands us the check. My boyfriends entree was still on the bill. At this point I'm so annoyed with the fact I've been sitting here for a half an hour - done, ready to go. I let him know he didn't take his burger off and the only thing he says is "oh I didn't know he was a veteran"... HE ONLY ORDERED OFF THE VETS MENU. HES WEARING A MARINE HAT AND SWEATSHIRT. He takes it off, we pay the bill, and doesn't even say "thanks for your service" or ANYTHING. I've worked in corporate restaurants and Individually owned restaurants. I know how stressful it can be, especially on a very busy day like Veterans Day. But this was all unacceptable. Chili's used to be a good place to go but this place was a disaster. Food was great and our server was very polite. However one of meals was forgotten, either by the kitchen or by our waitress. Our waitress immediately did everything in her power to solve the problem. She alerted the kitchen and offered a free bowl of soup to my father (his meal was the one forgotten). He declined the soup. Moments later a manager came over and apologized as well. The gave us his meal for free and in less than 5 minutes his meal was delivered. None of our food was cold by the time we started eating it. We had such a great experience at this Chili's. After a long day of shopping, we decided to stop in for some drinks and ended up having dinner as well. The bartender, Marissa, was friendly and attentive and answered all the questions we had. Before we even had to ask, we had another drink ready to go! We had the classic fajitas and shared and still had plenty to take home. Delicious! I hope the management recognizes a great bartender when they have it. She worked the bar solo, the place was packed and she was still able to keep up with orders. Great option for family night out! It feels like we go to our local Chili's (Bald Hill Rd, Warwick) once every 2-3 months. And its surprising it's not more often. First let me say that I'm not the biggest fan of chain restaurants, primarily because of my support for local small business, I have to say the staff and waitress can't be any more pleasant, and the atmosphere is usually on the more outgoing due to the amount of children patrons and after work crowds. First, which is great to see on a chain restaurant, is how consistent the food is! We typical move towards the 2 for $20 which works great for us, and our daughter gets a kid meal. You cant go wrong with bottomless chips and salsa, two entrees, and kids meal, and two drinks for less than $40.00, which also includes tax and tip. I will stop this review at..there was a hair in my barbecue chicken salad...and that is where my experience ended. Yes they have a 6 dollar all you can eat soup, chips and salad special that everyone seems very excited about. I dont eat hair and I dont pay for someone else to leave their hair in my food. SO gross considering they're a "mexican" chain. Went here with a friend on a weekend evening, so it was busy. It took much longer than the time we were quoted for a table to be ready. Usually it's the opposite. It took even longer for a waiter/waitress to come help us. People that had arrived at the restaurant after us were seated before us. People that had been seated after us had drinks and appetizers first. After we had been seated at one of the really small, two people only tables, we noticed that other parties of two were being seated at nice four top booths. Thanks a lot.... I had a nice lunch with two young kids here recently. I had a gift card which was the sole reason I went and I was quite pleased. I haven't been to a Chili's in a while and it looks like they've updated the menu a little. The kids appreciated the variety on the kid's menu - they can chose a main dish, side and a drink. There are several healthier options like fruit and veggies for sides. I chose a lunch combination - sandwich and salad - and I was surprised to see the sandwich come out with fries. For $8 I thought it was a good value. I thought the service was great. Not only was our server friendly but the other server in the section also introduced herself and offered to help us out. Stopped in last night with my boyfriend for a later dinner, We were seated immediately followed with quick friendly service, appetizer came out quickly, we had great drinks. Our server always came by at the right moment, was attentive enough to keep our waters filled. Offered us a pleasant smile, small talk just enough to make you feel comfortable to ask for anything. My boyfriend stepped outside for a phone call and our waiter was kind enough to offer my plate since it had come up before my boyfriends meal (since he was outside anyways I was happy not to have my meal sitting in the window under the heat lamp drying out).
