Been to other Chilis restaurants. First time at this location. Got greeted and seated right away. And everyone was smiling! Got terrific service the entire time. Got our waters, our server gave us help and time to place our orders. Quickly got our chips and salsa. And was especially personable. Thanks Kevin! My friend got the Quesadilla Explosion Salad. Im watching my calories and got the Salad with Chicken. Both were good portions, fresh ingredients, and good flavors. Which brings me to my only complaint (about Chilis in general). Not a lot of choices if you're someone looking for lower calorie (and flavorful) choices. I always ask for my dressings and sauces on the side. Just wish they had the healthier options. I know this Chilis has had some staffing issues in the past, but they seem to have righted the ship. The last few times we have been here for lunch have been very enjoyable. We've ordered off the lunch combo menu and had more than enough food... good food. I like the Chipotle Mexican Bowl. The chips and salsa are very good and you get a lot of them. I haven't been to Chilis in years and I just learned I'm not missing much. We went on a Sunday at about 3pm and the place was mostly empty. Service was very good (thank you, Will). But the food was pretty disappointing. I had the 6oz sirloin, and that was cooked well and served hot, but it really lacked seasoning. I could almost taste a glaze of flavor in some areas, but there wasn't much of it. There's no salt or pepper at the table. The broccoli and mashed potatoes looked beautiful, but here's where it gets very sad. About half of the broccoli was almost raw with no seasoning. Half of it was cooked and had seasoning. The mashed potatoes were loaded with cheese and bacon and looked perfect but they were served at room temperature. There was some cheese on there, but the potatoes were not warm enough to melt it. Tasted okay though. I guess Chef Mike was off his game. I had mango iced tea, which had a bit of a bitter/murky taste. I think this is the same Coke/Lipton stuff they serve at Taco Bell, but it tasted less sweet and darker. Maybe the machine needed cleaning, The other people with me had burgers, fries and soda. our experience was awesome from the opening tip, right when we walked in this guy liam was up front greeting everyone like he actually cared and made the whole place feel welcoming which is always a great sign we got seated right away and our waitress came over super quick, she had great energy and you could tell she actually enjoyed being there, and yeah she was really pretty too which definitely didn't hurt, just made the whole experience even better, usually i prefer blondes over brunettes but she was different, i completely forgot to ask her name which is a bummer we ordered chips and queso and they came out crazy fast, then got a burger with fries and the chicken crispers with fries and mac and cheese and everything was straight up fire, no complaints at all service stayed solid even when it got busy and overall it was just a really smooth experience, good food, good people, good vibes all around didn't ask for her info because i didn't wanna be that guy while she was working, but now i guess i've got a solid reason to come back soon... next time with my friend and not my dad and maybe just a little bit more confidence read more

Visited the last 2 Fridays, Miguel was our host both times and he was dressed to impress. He had people moving. This review is specifically for the Waukesha, WI location. My wife and I took two of our grandkids here around 7:30 on a Saturday. It was not very busy and we were seated promptly. I'm not sure if our server was new and while she was friendly, she needed additional training on the menu. First, she didn't know what beers were on tap so I walked into the bar area to see what was available - no biggie. While placing the order she got the chicken quesadillas confused with the quesadilla explosion salad but luckily we corrected what she'd written down while she read back the order. While she was taking the other drink orders I told her I was a rewards member and showed her the coupon for a free chips and salsa appetizer that we wanted. About 20 minutes after we ordered the rest of our food I reminded her about the chips and she said she didn't realize we wanted to order them. Huh? She placed the order and another fellow brought them out about five minutes later. They were gross - I've eaten chips at at least a dozen Chilis and none came close to how greasy these were - see the picture below. My wife didn't mind them and kids don't know what grease is so we just kept them. Someone needs to teach the cook here how to make them properly. The rest of our food was typical Chili's faire - nothing great but nothing terrible. If anything, I'd say Chili's has a tendency to make just about any food a bit messy and not exactly worthy of a heart-healthy star. My other comment is that it became slower and slower while we were there - probably 20% or less filled. There were debris on the floor throughout the restaurant and I watched staffer after staffer walk right by napkins and such on the floor without taking a second to pick it up - one of my real pet peeves when I see it happen at any restaurant. Undoubtedly, one or two of those staffers were managers and that's really unacceptable. This was on 4/23/2022 at 7:30-8:30. This was my first ever time at Chili's and it was A super pleasant experience! The workers gave a warm welcome, everyone seemed to be having A great day even being understaffed. They explained as soon as I sat down it might take A little long on service and food dude to lack of workers and still killed it! My food came out pretty fast and my server kept on checking on my group and made sure our drinks were filled! Only thing that took a while was the dessert BUT! Everyone was apologetic and extremely nice this Chili's sets the example of what good food service is and everyone should look at these workers and take notes. Now for the food the medium rare steak was amazing I was a little skeptical getting a steak here but they delivered, seasoned with salt and pepper with a garlic butter nice touch! It also came with broccoli that was great nothing to special about it, only thing I ate here and didn't like was the loaded mash it looked delicious but was so bland it was really sad. Having bacon and cheese on top was good flavor but you get into the mash and the flavor disappears. All the Apps the bacon chicken quesadilla was great comes with sour cream and A side of chipotle so you decide how much sauce you want, the mango teriyaki crispers were fantastic! A crispy battered tender glazed with the mango teriyaki sauce but still maintained to have that crunch well done. Other than that I also had the Buffalo boneless wings and fried pickles nothing was special about these picks I don't think I'd get those again. The lava cake speaks for itself A hot chocolate dessert with A scoop of ice cream on top you have to eat it quick for the best flavors ! Would recommend ! The final secret I learned here, chilis knows what's good here every I had here that was amazing was advertised with pictures on the menu, the server also recommended amazing selections here next time I'm getting the steak dinner again switch the mash for fries and get the triple dipper again but with three different flavors of chicken crispers ! Would give zero stars if I could but the food was actually pretty good so they get one. They took no time to notice my drunk needed a refill. I had to ask to get the refill not once but twice. Then also saw our empty bottomless chips and salsa didn't even ask if I wanted it refilled again. Even though we saw other people in the restaurant not even have to lift a finger to get a refill. Waited nearly 20 minutes after everyone finished eating and we were very visibly on our phones and looking around everywhere to even be asked if we wanted boxes to go. Every time we are greeted with their names and immediately asks if they can bring a drink while we look at the menu. And if they make a mistake, they own up to it, apologize and fix it quickly. I've met a friend there for their bottomless soup and salad which is very good. I do like their Chili, which is meaty and a little kick, not hot but good flavor. For dinners, I've had the Southwest burger, the salmon, mango chicken (both off the healthy menu), wings and salads. Smaller list of beer offerings and what I am disappointed with is a lack of local beers or craft beers (but I understand as this is a chain and purchasing would be a nightmare) and the wines are subpar but you don't come here for their wines. They also have a gluten free menu that is on the table's tablet. Chili's knows what their niche is and they do that very well. Each staff member was incredibly attentive & kind, our waiter Will was engaging & genuine, & the manager Tyson(?) personally asked how the food was, & then also noticed I was wearing a hospital visitor tag - he wished my family member good health & Merry Christmas- that would've been kind enough. but he circled around later & told us our meal was covered, & wished us another Merry Christmas & well wishes to my family member in the hospital. Between Chili's changing almost all of their ingredients/recipes and the quality of this location specifically, I don't see myself ever going back. Ordered usuals (chili cheese fries and my partner got a burger) and everything was so gross and different than it ever has been. I also tried the ribs which were dry and the BBQ sauce had no flavor. Even their honey mustard is different from even a few months ago. Obviously you don't go to Chili's for 5 star dining but when a meal is $55 for two people I think it is fair to expect the food to be edible at least. This location hasn't been great for a while but wanted to give it another chance. Service was super slow/waitress wasn't very attentive but other staff members stopped by us to see how we were doing. What a disaster! Came in at 3 pm for a late lunch. There was only one server on the dining side. It took her forever to get our drinks. I even let her know that I was light headed from the heat. It didn't matter as it still took a long time. Then she took orders from 3 new tables which put us behind them and I asked about back up in kitchen.
