Whoever rated this spot more than 2 stars was definitely bought out. Ordered some fish tacos and it came out fairly quick which was my first bad indicator, the second was I smelled it before I seen the dish itself. The fish was overcooked, rubbery andthe taco had only one peice of fish, which wasnt a big deal, but it was a fairly small on peice. The beans were decent but the rice lacked any kind of flavor. The establishment was on the warmer side. Not sure why they kept it pretty warm in the summer. Overall, this spot needs to work on a few things. Maybe dinner is better, who knows. read more

The staff is so kind and seated us right away. The waiter was fast with orders and brought drinks like a minute after we ordered them. The food took wayyyy too long to come - like well over 40 minutes. They brought extra chips and salsa which was nice of them. The chips kinda tasted like cheap ones you get from a grocery store. The salsa was good and one of them had a nice kick to it. They brought me green salsa which also tasted fresh and was pretty good. My husband got a lime margarita and said it was amazing and quite strong. For our meals I got steak which tasted wayyy overcooked and had char on it but it almost tasted like burn as opposed to a good char flavor. The beans and rice were also just okay. My husband got the enchiladas and said they were flavorful and liked them quite a bit! We haven't been back to this location for awhile due to poor service abd food quality. As usual, we got our worse server named Carlos who spent most of his time talking and socializing with a table in tge corner. Took him about 15 minutes to come to our table to ask us what we would like to drink. Then, when we placed the order it took 20 minutes to train our dinner which was delicious but, we can tell it sat for awhile in the window in the kitchen because our food was luke warm. Horrible service from Jaime! He didn't come to our table for about 15 minutes. When he finally showed up he barely let everyone at the table order before rushing off. After the food arrived he yelled from about 20 feet away asking how things were. Worst of all Jaime overcharged us and added drinks we did not have. If you have the bad luck of getting Jaime as your server just leave. Food itself was ok, pricey compared to other local Mexican restaurants. Celebrated with lunch today with the jumbo margaritas. Way too much for me and easily could've shared with two other people. Lots of menu options, but I opted for the Cameron tacos. Shrimp was chopped up which wasn't what I expected. But it was still tasty. Chips were fresh and not greasy at all. Salsa was fresh and lots of spicy options. Rice and beans was average. This was my second time here and I really enjoyed my experience both times! We came at around 5:30 on a Friday night and arrived just before they got super busy. All of the employees were working really hard to provide the best service they could and it was very obvious. Our server was very friendly and all of our food came out promptly and accurately. The guacamole was a little bland but tasted really fresh, which made up for it. My chicken chimichangas were extremely cheesy, which I loved, and the rice and beans were also very flavorful and tasty. The restaurant itself is pretty bare bones and a little crowded, but it feels very small town, everybody knows everybody, which I think is cute. We had the best experience with Casa Tequila in Pewaukee last night. I worked with the manager Diana on a catering order. She delivered it yesterday to perfection. Everything we ordered we got and then some. The food was so fresh and so tasty. Everybody just raved about it and there were plenty of leftovers for everyone to take some home. Big portions! This is some of the worst Mexican food I've ever eaten. I had the Carne a la Tampiqueña, a small skirt steak with enchilada, beans and rice. The steak was tough and stringy. This past Saturday I came here for lunch along with my friend and her husband around 1:00. We decided to sit at the bar instead sitting in the dining area but little did we know we were in for a shit show at the bar. The bartender that was working that day was either drunk or high on something because you can see it in her eyes and the way she was acting behind the bar. When a song would come on she would turn the music up, dancing around and even at one point was trying to dance with one of the waitresses. I understand we were in the bar section of the place, but to have the volume like that as if we were in bar was not necessary. Luckily someone would turn the volume down each time she did this. I ordered a strawberry margarita on the rocks and my friend ordered a drink as well. She didn't even ask her husband what he wanted until she came back with my margarita. Before I even got my drink she kept stirring my drink with the straw I have to drink from and while running her mouth with a couple of the employees. Next thing I see was a waitress stirring my drink and thought why the hell are you stirring my drink with my straw?! The moment the ingredients were poured into my glass there was no need for you to stir it. Once she brought me my drink I took the straw out and drunk from my glass. I go to the restroom to wash my hands also in part due to removing my straw because of the intoxicated bartender and waitress stirring my drink. When I come back out, I see her tossing something in the air but couldn't make out what it was. When I got to my seat she kept doing this and my friend tells me it wa a lime and she dropped it twice already. We hoped she threw that lime away and hopefully she didn't cut it up and it ended up in some poor persons drink. It looked like she was trying hard to impress these 2 guys at the bar probably for a better tip. Oh not to mention to she called herself trying to spin a bottle of booze on her hand like she was Tom Cruise in Cocktails which also she dropped on the floor a couple times. Luckily the damn thing didn't break. Also not mention while we were there she would disappear off and on. She came over and asked what we wanted and I went with a combination platter of a chicken chimichanga and taco. Being in shock because of what's been going on I didn't realize she forgot to ask me if I wanted corn or flour for my taco and I ended up with corn. I took 2 bites of it and was like nope, I'm good. I wanted to ask for a new one with a flour tortilla but lord only knows what will happen with and to the taco knowing her. At least the chimichanga was good and the beans were okay. I don't like providing a review this low, but after that dumpster fire of a show we witnessed, I don't think I will be back anytime soon and if I do I will sit in the dining area. read more

The service was good. They served us with 3 different Salsa along with freshly fried chips. I asked for spicy salsa and the server brought us 2 extra ones which were really great. I am giving 5 stars for the experience till then. The main food we ordered though were not that great. Our steak was over cooked and chewy. The taco shell was too hard for a soft taco. It almost felt like I was eating hard shell. Chimichanga was alright. The burrito didn't feel crispy enough. It wasn't deep fried long enough so the outer shell was soft. The portion size was good. Beans were cooked well but the rice was bland. The place was vibrant and seem like a local favorite. On a Sunday night, they had 2 huge groups and quite a lot of people. I have had good meals in the past here and would like to thrive. Unfortunately my wife and I stopped in for lunch last week. The service was great! The chips tasted stale and not homemade. My wife's burrito was cold and my taco salad was small and bland. The refried beans were Orange? and watery. $36 with tip for really attentive service was way too much for that food. Few weeks ago I drove past this place on my way to Costco. I was not overly excited to try it after looking at some of the reviews but my opinion quickly changed. The service was good and the food was even better. I got two enchiladas and a chicken taco for about 12 dollars. The taco reminded me of the food truck tacos I use to get regularly when I lived downtown. It was excellent with a generous portion of chicken. Not to be outdone, the enchiladas were just as good. The red sauce on top was excellent. The chips and salsa were okay. The chips did not seem fresh and the salsa lacked any kick. It was free so I will not hold it against them. This place was pretty much packed on a Monday night. I think they had buy one get one free margaritas. I will be back. Solid Mexican place that is decently priced. read more

We have frequented this restaurant many times over the years. We have always enjoyed the food, the quick service and definitely the drinks :) We dined about a month ago and had multiple hiccups i.e. we waited 10+min to be welcomed and they came only after I asked the hostess as well as cold food. It was a busy night, so we chalked it up to it being an off-night. Not a problem. We decided to dine again tonight. Arrived before 5pm and sat outside. There were maybe 5 tables occupied at the time we arrived - inside and out. We waited 15+min to be welcomed. After I asked the hostess, it took an additional 5min for someone to come to the table. We were packing up our 4yr old to leave, but decided to stay once she arrived because he was starving. We ordered drinks (Margarita rocks and tequila rocks) as well as waters. After 10min, I went up to the bar with the intention of picking up our drinks, but the waitress was standing next to them. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and went back to my table. It still took 3-4min for drinks to be served. Food came 30 seconds after food arrived and my husbands meal was ice cold. We didn't see the waitress for at least 20min, asked for the bill, which arrived 10min later and bill was incorrect. It was quickly revised, so I will give her credit for that. Never did we receive an apology for any of the delays. The table next to us arrived 30min after us and had similar issues. I told them it would be quickest to go up to the bar and get their drinks themselves and they did. Entire visit/experience was beyond frustrating. The ground beef in the taco was bland and excessively greasy. My hand was covered as it leaked out the side I was holding. The Chorizo Cheese Dip was sorely lacking on cheese and the potatoes were rock hard, almost like biting into an uncooked potato. Okay, I agree there isn't anything exceptional to set it apart from the competition, but given the options for Mexican in Pewaukee, this may be one of the best north of 94. I had the taco dinner, which I thought was a good amount of food for a decent price. I tried both the chicken and ground beef tacos and would order them again! Since others have posted about it, I will comment that the menu I received was clean and the waitress we had was really nice and fun. She was quick to serve us, but did not rush us when we decided to linger for another drink post-meal. And even though it is next to a grocery store, the inside is decorated nicely. The location is convenient if you're running errands and want to grab lunch. Note they have weeknight specials.. $1 taco Tuesday's and then Thurs is BOGO Mojitos.
