Not the worst food but I've had better. The menu was pretty limited to what I'm used to seeing at other Mexican restaurants. I was saddened that the beans and rice had zero flavor and my stuffed poblanos were more cheese than anything. And I like cheese, but it was just too much for that dish. Overall, I had to put hot sauce on everything just to finish it. We had great service immediately after being seated, but after receiving our food we were not checked on again until flagging the waitress for our bill. No refills on drinks, no "how's the food". The restaurant wasn't even busy, with only two other tables of guests besides ours. The most offensive thing of all was a line item on the bill for non-cash fee. This was not disclosed of time, and legally in Wisconsin an added credit card charge needs to be posted at the entrance and point of sale, and not to exceed 3% of the bill. Our non-cash fee was nearly 4% of the total bill after taxes. That's not cool at all. I won't be coming back, and wouldn't recommend dining here to my friends. Maybe their food truck has better offerings? I've always heard good reviews about Romero's so this was such a letdown. read more

The ambiance is very cute and speaks of Mexico. There is a pretty open parking lot attached to the building. Our server did take a while with getting to us (in terms of water, the check, etc.). The food was good! Cooked well, but the chicken needed more seasoning/flavor. read more

I had another delightful lunch at my go-to Mexican restaurant in Greenfield, Romero's. I ordered their taco dinner plate for a large lunch. It came with rice and beans, so it was very filling. Their salsa was excellent and our server was also the salsa maker! Service was quick, the server was very attentive too. They don't have a huge amount of traffic for mid-week lunches, so me and my lunch partner could chat without raising our voices. Nice. I've been here several times and the wait staff are very friendly, the food's always yummy and the salsa, as I said earlier, is sublime. Give this place a try for a nice, quiet lunch. read more

You can sit wherever you want and a server comes to you pretty fast. We got free chips and salsa which was not that spicy. They offered drinks at first. We got a mojito and a piña colada. They were in these huge cups! I got chorizo tacos which were pretty good. They were more like ground pork than the finer chorizo I see at other places. Their green salsa was yummy. This is my third time here now. My first time here was Memorial Day cuz it was the only Mexican restaurant open near me, and it has now become one of my favorites. We always get sat right away, the staff is always friendly, and the food is always good! Would recommend 100 times over. Don't understand how this place is never busy. First time eating here, we ate around 4pm on a Saturday and were the only guests. More people started to show up by the time we left. Our server was very nice, personable and gave us recommendations. We all got the Romero Margarita for $10 and it was large and delicious! The free chips and salsa were fine, the salsa was spicy. A couple of us ordered enchiladas and to be honest, they could have used more filling. In the photo they look decent but they didn't have a lot of sauce which made them dry. Their classic Mexican style tacos are some of the best in the city, especially since Chilangos closed; their burritos are great; and their Mexicali food truck dishes such as the hot Cheetos burrito and asada fries are truly items to soothe a weary soul in trying times. This was our (my adult son and I) first time here. We were drawn to it because it reminded us of our favorite Mexican restaurant from our hometown. The ambiance was cheery, colorful, and clean. The lighting was bright enough to read the menu and we appreciated the lack of loud music playing. This was important because we wanted to be able to hear each other (which is not always the case nowadays). Our service was prompt and attentive. Later, a lovely older woman (perhaps the matriarch of the family??) came around to our table and asked us how our meal was and if we needed anything. Now for the peace d' resistance: THE FOOD...well, my enchiladas and my son's fajitas were better than superb! The Margeritas tasted like a Margarita is supposed to taste and then some. Followed this food truck in New Berlin- great tacos, birria ramen and burritos. Felt we needed to try their restaurant. Nice location- bar has room for seating and eating. Have Brent rice now- once with friends- for lunch and once with family and friends. The service is friendly, not a long wait for dinners, drinks are tasty. Nice selection of beers and cocktails. This was the new restaurant of the week that I have been trying to get into but they are closed on Sundays. This is a newer Mexican restaurant that replaced another Mexican restaurant. They also have food trucks but I wanted the sit down experience. The place still has the bar in front with hi tables, regular tables and booths. The decor is festive looking with colorful walls. I was started with chips and salsa and I ordered a blended strawberry margarita to start my meal. The service was fast but it was the Fourth of July and it was empty. The chips were average, thin and crispy. The salsa was good because it was chunky with fresh veggies. I ordered the steak burrito dinner with added cilantro and onion that comes with rice and beans. The strawberry margarita looked amazing in a frosted glass with multi colored salt rim. The strawberry margarita was one of the bigger ones and it was delicious. My steak burrito dinner had good presentation and not just dumped on the plate like most places. The beans and rice seemed average but I mix them together and add salsa and hot sauce which makes them really good. The steak burrito was good with the steak being like pulled/chunks in a saucy style like taco meat it seemed. The burrito is big with rice in it by the way. Overall it was a good lunch with a better a than average strawberry margarita from most Mexican restaurants where I have gotten them. read more

Have been hearing positive reviews so we decided to try it. We were seated right away and drink orders taken and water brought out quickly. When she brought the drinks she asked if we were ready to order; we ordered appetizers of guacamole and Mexican street corn. These were brought out in a reasonable amount of time but we didn't want to order yet. We enjoyed the appetizers, both very good and a good quantity. We had essentially finished these and the waitress had not come back and was nowhere to be seen. About 10 minutes after we finished the appetizers she came in from outside on her phone. She still didn't come back to the table for another 5ish minutes. She finally took our order (the place was not busy at all). The entrees were very mediocre; two of us ordered flautas and they had no flavor at all. My other friend ordered chimichangas and she said it was not very good; weird with corn and beans inside. None of us enjoyed the dinner itself; the apps and drinks were good. Overall there are a lot of good Mexican restaurants in the area so I would not recommend or return here. read more

Decided to try a new restaurant so we stopped here since we were in the area and we were very surprised. Its a small restaurant with very bright festive decorations. I didnt know they had a taco truck in two other locations. I ordered shrimp tacos and my bf had the beef enchiladas. The shrimp tacos were delicious not overstuffed which i like. The enchiladas were delicious! Beef was not salty and greasy which we find at most mexican restaurants so i appreciate the quality of food here. The rice and beans were great and again not salty! We will definitely be coming back! The service could use some improvement. It wasn't busy however food took a while and our waitress barely made any rounds. We were the only people in the place for lunch, but somehow the waitress found enough time to hang out with the bartender and just bullshit instead of cleaning our plates or asking if we wanted anything more to drink when she came back she just simply brought the check. We've ordered from the trucks and couldn't wait to come in, sit down, and try the restaurant. Muy Bueno!! I really hope they succeed as a brick & mortar. We started with margaritas, chips and Queso. A classic beginning. Margs were large and tasty! The Queso was delicious with just a hint of Modelo Negro in it. The dip itself is not spicy but well seasoned. We added chorizo because, well, it's always the right thing to do--and it was awesome. We ordered ala carte just so we could try a few different things. Loved the Enchiladas. The sauce is perfectly balanced and not to sweet. The tacos we tried were all outstanding--a mix of steak and chorizo. We also ordered up a Quesobirria taco. Huge props that they'll do those ala carte. Not many places do. We took some Beef Birria Ramen to go and can't wait to dive into that. It's pretty hard to do much with the ambience in this place but they really did nice job making it festive and bright in here. The salsa has a ton of cilantro in it which is disappointing as I hate cilantro. The reviews from the non cilantro haters are that it was just average but the chips were warm and salty. We had 4 t dishes and we loved 3 of them. The chile rellenos, the enchiladas and the mole burrito were big hits, the quesabarilla just received an average review but it looked really good. They were a very good value for $15. I was able to make 6 tacos. Came with sour cream , guacamole, cheese, lettuce and pico. It was excellent. The beans and rice were pretty standard. It is hard to find a place with good rice. That was the first green flag for me. I got 2 chicken and 2 pastor tacos. The flavor was there. My wife and I tried something from this restaurants food truck that was at Enchant on Friday night and we were so impressed that we went to their restaurant location just north of Southridge Mall on 76th street. We ordered the Mexican corn as an appetizer (this is what we got at the truck the day before as well) and it was delicious both times we had it. I ordered the enchiladas dinner with red mole, and they're some of the best enchiladas I've had in the area! I'm lactose intolerant and I will 10000% destroy my stomach any day of the week for these enchiladas. I need to make my way back as there are so many other entrees I'm interested in trying. Service was great, large parking lot with plenty of spots, and the atmosphere was pretty homey. I've been here twice now, and both times my birria tacos were incredible. I've stuck with beer, but my friend got strawberry margaritas. First time it was too sweet, but second time it was great. Same thing with his burrito, said it was a little bland first time, but great on the second. I chalk it up to not-open-long learning curve. Service was friendly both times. The only thing I'd suggest is turning the music down a little - when it's busier, all the voices + music makes it hard to hear. I won't dock a star for that, though. read more
