Both were good, but I do wish the texture was more consistent. I also got the Badel Sadeko (marinated wild boar sauté), which I always order. It was excellent as usual, consistent in both presentation and flavor. Definitely one of my favorites on the menu. Now for the disappointment: the chicken thali. Unfortunately, it did not meet expectations. The rice tasted like it was a day old. It came with a cauliflower and potato curry, which was okay. The dal (lentil soup) also tasted like it had been sitting for a while, almost as if some ghee was added right before serving to freshen it up. The biggest letdown was the chicken curry. It was flavorless and watered down, very disappointing compared to the other dishes. The thali also came with saag (mustard), achar, and a gulab jamun (probably canned) for dessert.
