Why did it take me so long to find this place? This is such an easy, fun spot to hang out, very comfortable for families or just on your own. I'm regularly looking for good spots to have a beer and have that balance of bustle and calm so I can focus and write, and Chill N Fill has different "zones" that fulfill that need. The beer selection is good - they carried a perfect beer from Barley Brown called Martin Scor-Hazy for a bit. And of the trucks I've so far tried the sushi burritos (very good) and the teriyaki chicken from the ramen place (so tasty I've ordered it twice). read more

Great staff, great offerings and great location. Only downside is parking is a bit of a challenge. But for people who live in the neighborhood, I am super jealous... (From September, 2024) Every time I visit my sister in PDX, she always brings me here at least once (usually 3-4 times) to congregate as a family with my nephew to sip on beverages and munch on eats from their generous variety of food trucks lined up. Let me count the ways of why this place rocks. Starting with location, it's right off of North Lombard Avenue, within walking distance of the suburban neighborhoods so no need to drive but there is street parking if needed. Plenty of seating outdoors and indoors; most of the outdoor seating is covered and you'll be surrounded by the food trucks and it's wonderful smells of food cooking and liquids boiling. Indoor seating is plentiful and there are games and TVs to help mull over the time with family/friends. The beer bar inside contains a large selection of handcrafted beers on tap or venture to the cooler displays to fish out canned beers/sparkling wines & seltzers of your choosing. The Georgetown IPA is a popular beer here that goes down smoothly, always on tap and ready for you! As for eats, the food trucks will fill your cravings with flavors ranging from indian, italian, sushi/poke, tacos, philly cheesesteaks, burgers, and pizza; you name it! I do love a beer and food truck location. This is a cool place with indoor and outdoor seating. The selection of food trucks is good and unique. I didn't get to play but like that they have a game area and sports television. A cool thing is they have a back door bar with taps but limited taps. The front tap room area is usually busy. Of course those are the taps I want. all the food trucks seam good and smell wonderful. We got the pierogi truck and something Asian seafood. Both great. Came here to check out the food trucks outside and pleasantly surprised to find this indoor oasis--being from LA we don't have this set up. It was hot day so it was nice to have AC while watching the Olympic finals on the big screen. The server was super nice came by several times and always with a smile. Beer and drinks were cold. Really cool spot super close to our house, which I love because we can walk there. It's perfect for nights when you want to have a few drinks.. because drinking and driving is not cool! They have a bunch of different food carts there. We don't have kids, but I'd totally recommend it to anyone who does. Even if you don't have kids, it's great to go by yourself, with your dog, or on a first date. It's a really cool spot for any occasion. They don't have liquor (if you're into that), but they've got a great selection of food carts, beer, wine and a lot of non alc. They have also all different types of food. Recently, they added an Italian food cart with pizza and salads, which is awesome because sometimes you just crave a salad.. or maybe that's just me. The bad news: one of my tires blew out and I ended up needing a set of four new ones. The good news: waiting for my car to get new tires enabled me to test out Chill N Fill for the first time! This bar is a great addition to the University Park neighbirhood in North Portland. They offer a wide selection of beers on tap as well as five hard ciders and even a few wines. As I am a hard cider drinker I tried the Fox Tail and the Cascasdia. Both were on the dry side and super tasty. My husband was pleased with the two beers he ordered. We were offered a bowl of pretzels to snack on and were excited to hear that they will soon be partnering with Louie's Pizza to provide more food to the bar. They will take your order at the bar and then Louie's delivers. Pizza and beer...yay! The bar has a really awesome electronic ordering screen. It gives you a bunch of information about the products including price and alcohol content. Each tap listing even has an image of a keg that changes color to indicate how much is left in the tap. The screen even has social media features allowing bar patrons to check in (not on Yelp yet) and post Instagram photos. I will for sure be coming to this bar when I find myself in the neighborhood. My husband and I may start getting into ordering growlers. Chill N Fill has a loyalty program which makes for some great deals on beer and cider. read more

Super friendly community gathering spot. We are so lucky to have them in our neighborhood. The food carts are an amazing addition, especially love the Indian cart. It's all ages, and they offer a great selection of non alcoholic drinks both on tap and in cans. I always tell people it's a much more expansive and inclusive place than the name implies. Been sitting here five minutes and still have not seen a single person who looks like they work here. The entrance is odd and hard to find "Is this the front door? Or is this an emergency exit! Wait maybe it's that one?" No menu posted anywhere. Ten minutes now and still haven't seen or been approached by anyone who looks like they work here. I'd really like to order a beer and a burger but I'm still not sure if they even serve that here? Guess I'll leave again. Second time this has been my experience here. Seven Brides tasting was a good time. Enjoyed chatting with the brewers and had a good laugh learning about a new festival that is not to far from the brewery in Silverton. Guess Mt Angel has decided to name their new event Sausage Fest :) If you have't been to Chill n Fill for a pint or a growler fill, you should. The owners Paul & Steve are a great addition to the University Park neighborhood. Excellent rotating tap selection and great pricing. Went into this new pub/growler shop for a beer. Really nice inside and the two dudes working were friendly and enthusiastic about beer. The space is a lot cleaner and a bit on the modern side compared to other offerings in the neighborhood. Besides the 20+ beers they have on tap they also had cask wines and a few ciders on tap. Still chill, even though they removed the fridge with the uncommon brews for an extra table. Not sure why they still have the other fridge, it appears to be ~75% IPA of one variety or another and almost all can be purchased from any big box store. I've grown to like this place, though my first experience here was not so hot. The first time I visited was back in the summer, and the girl tending bar was not very friendly and mainly just played on her phone. It gave me a bad taste in my mouth, and I didn't go back until my wife got her nails done next door. So I figured I'd give it another shot, and ever since then, I've been back a few times with far superior service. Seriously, it was like night and day, and now I've found myself really enjoying going here. They have a pretty solid growler deal on Wednesdays where every growler is ten dollars, and they offer a point system where if you buy enough, you get a discounted price on a growler. Their selection is solid, with a good mix of California, Oregon and Washington beers. Their selection is pretty IPA heavy, but they have some good lagers, lighter beers and stouts. The employees all know their stuff too, and will have a conversation with you about their beer and what to buy. I'll be back for cheap growler fills on Wednesdays, and maybe do some homework in their nice little drinking area. read more

The two guys that run the place are so welcoming and friendly. We were only planning on checking it out and having a beer, but we ended up staying longer than expected. It was comfortable, cozy, and they were playing Thursday Night Football. So perfect. They have TV screens that list each of their 27 beers on tap and display how much they have left in each keg (like Bailey's Taproom downtown). They also have a few ciders and some wine to choose from. I am so pleased with this awesome addition to NoPo. P.S. We tried the Moonstalker porter-- delicious! and the Cider riot blackberry cider. My only recommendation is that they find a way to serve some food, maybe soups and sandwiches? I'm lucky enough to live around the corner from this fine establishment. Paul and Steve are certified badasses. They enjoy their job and it translates into the entire business. Chill N Fill is welcoming, clean and the two owners are always willing to try their hardest to get a requested beer on tap. They get new beers on tap every week and the prices are the best in Portland for a growler fill place. Happy hour is great. The TVs are great for sports fans such as myself. No food yet but it's in the works. This place is like a fine wine (which they also have on tap). It'll just get better with age. Excited to see this place grow. Do yourself a favor and stop in.
