I dont usually do bad reviews. I try to stay as positive as possible. Although the staff were pretty nice, even with the most detailed instructions/request and pictures to show what you want, some people still can't follow direction. Came in for a pedicure and an acrylic fill. First things first, i always tell both the manicurist and pedicurist "Cut Down Short with a sharp square." Then i present a picture of what i want and ask if it is possible. Today, i wanted a black French, U-Shaped with medium thickness(a picture will be attached) and both men said they can do the set. Throughout the start of service, i continued to repeat the same thing. My hands, did not come out like the picture, it didn't even come out as a sharp square, but they're kind of cute, so i'm ok with it. My pedicure was the biggest struggle. Not going to lie, i got worried when the guy doing my pedicure forgot to request my girlfriend's manicure after we repeated the service twice, and forgot to get us the drinks he offered twice lol. But we proceeded, he started with removing the previous gel, cutting, and filing my nails. My big toe had old acrylic from when my toe nail was broken, he was advised to not fill it and he can either remove it of file/buff it down. He shaped the nails round so i repeated sharp square. He moves on but i still noticed, my big toe was not shorter. After finishing the second foot, i noticed the big toe is shorter but not square. So i repeated, can you make them a sharp square. He then asked "oh you want square?" I then explained my issue with the first foot nails not being cut nor even. He stated he couldn't because of the shape of the nail (but they were a sharp square before the cut down so I'm unclear of the issue). He then attempted to lightly file the nails. But still not sharp. (I just let it go and i will file them myself when i get home.. but when you're spending over $150 at a nail shop.. i mean, why should i have to.) Moving on to the polish..i show the picture again right before he starts; to reiterate what I'm requesting(mainly because my hands are not as requested so lets hope for a better outcome or maybe if he couldn't, he would get someone who could.) The pedicurist starts with a basic old school straight across french tip. I asked if he can do the deep u-shape like the picture. He said he couldn't because i have little toes. But again, the gel that was removed was a white u-shape, and the picture shown, are little toes . So i try to ask again for what I'm requesting, and at this point, i assumed he didn't know how to do it. The gentleman servicing my hands had stopped to guide and teach the pedicurist how to do a u-shape. This process altogether took 30mins. Now... at some point i had asked for someone to either come help or assist him, i was told no one else could at the moment, but i counted about 5-6 others sitting in the corner of salon. And my manicurist walked away after his coaching. Eventually, after asking my girlfriend to ask her manicurist for someone else to take over, my manicurist came back. But at this point, i only had 3 toes left to be polished, the other 7..smh i cant even say. All in all, i appreciate his efforts of trying to execute but also, using an actual client to play practice and still not correctly executing the request, while still charging the client, is sooooooo unfortunate. I expressed how i wasn't satisfied and it obviously didn't matter to anyone here. This will definitely be the first and last visit. I will attached all the pictures; the style requested, my pedicure and the errors(i filed my toes before the pictures so i wasn't able to show how badly uneven it was), my fill on my hands. You'll also see the toe that he filed some of the acrylic off but did not do well in buffing or whatever. You can see it through the polish, which i have never seen even without a fill on the toe. Also, i'm aware that the inspo pic is acrylic, but the shape and sharp square can still be executed, especially when my nails (hands and feet) were already sharp square before service. read more

I was really disappointed with how this situation was handled. We had two very young children with us, ages 2 and 4. They were seated and weren't running around or destroying anything, but they were being a little loud at times, which is pretty normal for toddlers. Instead of speaking to us politely, a woman shouted across the salon for us to "keep our kids in check." The tone and the way it was said felt unnecessarily rude and embarrassing, especially considering their ages. I completely understand that a salon should have a calm environment, and I would have had no problem being asked respectfully to quiet them down. It was the way we were spoken to that made the experience uncomfortable. A little professionalism and basic courtesy would have gone a long way. read more

I think I just found my new nail place! I asked Ally for a K-pop demon hunter vibe and she killed it. I showed her a reference photo and she recreated it perfectly. She's an artist and I'm sure can give you the exact aesthetic you want and can even tell you what looks better for you. So, it's more tailored and custom to you. I don't recommend this place at all. The employees and nail techs were very accommodating to the best of their ability. Though, I have a few regrets or things I wish I was made aware of beforehand. The ladies NEVER told me ahead of time they were incapable of doing the design I preferred. While getting a pedicure, my sandals/shoes were RUINED! The pedicure list got oil and paraffin wax all over them. I placed them off to the side because I feared this would occur eventually. She insisted that it was fine. By the end of my experience when she placed my shoes on, they were completely soaked in both the wax and oil. I was offered either a free pedicure or my shoes to be replaced. Which why would there be any issues with both? This ruined my entire experience. The manager wasn't very helpful. He just kept reminding me it was an accident. Tell that to my husband who works physically hard for his money. Then I was informed to call the other manager and I did. By the time she responded my husband already took them to the cobbler. It's been almost a month if not a month and I've still received no compensation. I will add I offered to pay for my pedicure in hopes of them replacing my shoes. However, we've just accrued the charge of the pedicure and cobbler. I've received one call back apparently, but I only have a voicemail. By the time the manager was made aware I was already out of the country for vacation. I've called back twice, no response. And truly It's not about the money. But no customer should have their nice things ruined, and not taken care of by the company and offered a free service. So now I will leave a review every where I can. I honestly wouldn't go back. And I don't think anyone should. If this could happen to me, it could happen to anyone. I would have been even more upset if we were tight on money in this economy. You splurge and not how have to spend even more??? Bad business practices and etiquette. read more

It was my 1st time & was received very friendly & also my 1st time trying chrome! But they were done very poorly, as she was messing up she kept adding layer + layer then lastly kinda gave up & quickly added the clear coat making them look messy. The whole process was pretty messy even when applying the chrome. It was brought to her attention & it sadly was not fixed so final result was messy & clumpy looking. read more

Edit: lowering to 1 star based on the businesses reply to my review in Google maps. Incredibly underhanded, not to mention false (and weird) to talk about "checking security footage" and attempting to single me out when my display name is different than the name I use for patronizing businesses. The response comes across as snide and not actually trying to ensure better service for others or make things right with the complaining party (me). I wish I could give 0 stars. This shows how they handle conflict of any kind. Do NOT waste your money and time here. I know what I asked for and what these services should entail, never in my life had this problem at any other nail salon. I recommend going to really any other salon in the area like King nails, executive salon, Milan spa, etc. I am very disappointed to see how highly unprofessional these people are in their response to valid claims. Had a decent experience the first time I came in. Did hard gel but it would hurt while curing which lead me to believe they used too much product, or bad product. Second time going in to get them removed, asked for a manicure and pedicure. The two techs seemed really rushed, didn't get a foot bath, cuticle trim and nail clean, massage, etc. no callus/foot scrub, nothing. Just went straight to filing and painting and the shellac ended up peeling after just a couple of days (and looks uneven and poorly done.) The pedicure tech put my shoes on without asking, had un massaged oil all over my toes and ruined my sandals. The manicure tech aggressively tapped me when I needed to move my hands and overall felt they were both rude at worst, at best lacked proper communication skills. When I asked at the end what specifically was included in a manicure and pedicure, the front office guy seemed to deflect and said I was only charged for "removal and shellac set". Not sure how that works when I asked for a manicure and pedicure, it was still over $70 in total and I got a really subpar experience with none of the actual manicure-pedicure services any normal person would expect coming in asking for these. I regret even giving them a tip because they did not deserve one. Makes sense why they have so many good reviews as others have shared here they bribe their customers and pressure you to give good reviews when you go to leave. Won't be returning. read more

David (technician) did not look at the shape of my nails nor did he listen to me. Just did what he wanted to...He began "sawing" them based on what he thought all African American females want. I spotted Chillax Nail Lounge on 06-06-2025 as I was driving home, after walking out of the nail salon that I normally go to. Chillax N L was busy. I wanted to get a mani/pedi, so I Googled their reviews, and after being satisfied with what I found, I went in. I was greeted immediately, so I told the hostess what I wanted , and I was seated. The lounge has all new state of the art pedicure stations with massagers & cell phone charging pads. I got a mani/pedi with a gel application applied to my finger nails. While I was there, I was offered something to drink. I accepted a small cold water. The nail tech did good work! The only complaints I have is that during my pedicures he kept having to stop what he was doing in order to retrieve something that he forgot to bring with him prior to starting my service. The second complaint is a caution . After receiving the bill for my service, I use my own tip calculator to generate a 20% tip. The Salon uses a computerized system in order for the customer to pay. As part of this system there are precalculated tip suggestions at the top of the screen. As I said, I had already figured out my tip, but working on a computer screen I decided to use the business suggested tip. Well to my surprise I found that the computer rounded my 20% up to the next full dollar, an action which generateed more than a 20% tip . Consequently, I had to go back to the previous page and choose to give a "customized tip" so that I was not over charged. I also requested a paper receipt for my records because the system did not automatically forward one to my cell phone #, which they requested when I sat down for my pedicure in order to registered me into their system. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Do not come here. They were rude and racist. They continuously tried to pressure me into selecting the most expensive pedicure. I told them I wanted my acrylic taken off and then I would decide, but they continued over and over to pressure me so I eventually decided I didn't want to have any service done here once my acrylics were taken off. The person serving me literally walked away with no explanation. I asked what happened and the manager made up a lie saying she was taking a break. MINUTES later, a new couple walked in and the same woman who had been servicing me came out to serve that customer. In the meantime, a new person came to finish taking off my acrylic and was extremely aggressive. The entire time, the manager in front of me staring at me and blocking me as if I was a criminal and was going to run out and speaking about me in Vietnamese. It made me extremely uncomfortable.
