If you dont see what you want or if the item isnt the grade you want...just ask. They'll have it somewhere or know who has it. The grades of records go from playable but rough covers to collector grade, so they hit all price points. When they are well stocked, its not uncommon to find multplie copies of an album with prices from a few bucks to $20...and he's probably got a primo copy somewhere, some ungraded ones waiting to be logged in, and a trashed version for free out in the boxes out front. I even check the free box outside for covers in better condition than one in my collection or for missing liner notes, etc. They guys are a wealth of knowledge. Just ask. They'll straight up tell you if the albumn is a first pressing, a re-issue, a bootleg, etc. They love music....and cats.

I was hoping to find any reggae or roots artists, but they have a limited selection of these genres. However, they have a wide selection of country, folk, rock, classical, and of the like genres. The staff were friendly and offering to help me search for any genre or artist I was looking for. I quickly thumbed through the Caribbean selection and bought two vinyls. Each was $5, so I thought that was a score. They also have a box of free vinyls outside you can rummage through.

It is a nice record shoppe. They say that they have a * LOT * of vinyl and I have no reason to…read moredoubt this. I was disappointed by the items on display though as I could not find any of the records I was looking for. After collecting records for almost 50 year, I have become very selective :-) A lot of their vinyl are in the cabinates and "in-the-back". Although the location of this particular shoppe is not convenient for me, I dropped in as I was in the neighborhood. It is seldom that I get this far east of Vancouver and seized the opportunity. The people who run the store were friendly and gracious in that they allowed be to rummage through the "not yet cataloged", newly acquired items, Thankfully I did manage to find 3 items of interest, original pressings of "Small Faces", "Deep Purple", and one other. Although I considered these items expensive, I believe that I paid what they were worth. Like everyone else, I like to get a better deal. They were kind enough to play the Small Faces on their system, it was a little beat up and I needed to verify it's value. However, their sound system was ... amm .... er .... gee ... really bad. The speakers seam to be located at the back of the store and it sounded like the music was being played in a tunnel. A lot of bass was heard, that's about it. All I could determine was that the record did not skip :-( A shame, really, as they have spent a fair amount on the reset of the shop. The quality of the sound needs to be improved. It doesn't cost much to put some quality speakers throughout a store. Would I come back??? Purely on speculation? No, it is a long way to go! I would come back if they would be willing to work with me and put aside the items I am interested in. If I was guaranteed some good 'finds' then I would make the effort to drive there. cheers, Felix

The store, although packed with delights, was so well and simply organized that it was not overwhelming and easy to peruse through. A cute nook at the front for children's books and toys that felt like it's own little room. Rows of books organized in all types of sections including one with Totoro/Miyazaki books ( a favorite of my niece's). A selection of records and inexpensive paperbacks towards the back. A small glass display shelf with gifts including some gorgeous crystal crowns. I especially liked the little extras I had noticed. I had come to see the murals in town which had a chance too see a few behind the shop where I also saw their cute, little free library. The staff although busy, made sure to greet and assist quickly with any questions. When I have more time next time I'm in the area, I will make sure to visit again, meet their store cat, drop of some books from my collection and purchase some treats to either add back to mine or gift out.

Hey I didn't get the respect of a side meeting it looks like you found the solution to fix it right…read morehere! So which album do you claim I stole? And what are the dates and times you mention? Like you said I dont go in to shop I have not shopped there in about a year. I have specifically handed you the records left the shop and come back later. When did I supposedly steal this album? And cant you look it up in your database? When and to whom it was sold? My credit card is probably attached. I use to come in in the evenings after bowling. So what is the album, when was it supposed to have been stolen and can you show me in your records that that album was stolen?????? This is completely insane. ust got screamed at by the cashier in front of a lot of customers, telling me that I am a theif and have stolen records from Ritual. I am a medically retired navy veteran and full time college student and money is tight. I have been selling my treasured record collection to these slimeballs for a fraction of what they are worth as I badly need the money and dont have time for ebay. They have made a lot of money off my albums. She just screamed that she knew I stole because it still had their sticker on it. I have bought many albums from them over the years and it should not be hard to see in their system if that record had even been stolen, I am sure they track it. I have sold them records they dont even sell that I got on Amazon or as gifts over years. Screaming at me and calling me a theif was just disgusting. Having to sell my most prized possessions for pennies to these asses who turn around and make profit while insulting me is insult enough. Thanks again!

If you've ever wondered what it would be like to pay absurd prices for a bargain bin selection…read morewhile being judged by people high on Ketamine who think owning three obscure records makes them cultural authorities, look no further. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the worst whiny TikTok indie music, and I am sure they called it "experimental." The staff seemed deeply committed to making customers feel unwelcome, responding to basic questions with the kind of condescension usually reserved for medieval peasants asking about astronomy. The prices are absolutely delusional. Somehow, they've convinced themselves that every item on the shelf is a rare collector's piece, even though the actual selection is painfully thin. Looking for anything outside of the handful of genres they obsess over? Good luck. Their inventory has the variety of a gas station sandwich cooler. What's especially impressive is how they manage to charge nearly twice as much as everyone else while offering half the selection. It's like they've mistaken scarcity for exclusivity. The whole place feels less like a business and more like a social experiment to see how much pretension customers can tolerate before leaving. I left empty handed, annoyed, and with a newfound appreciation for stores such as Black Noise & especially Zion's Gate that actually stock things people want to buy. Before anyone could explain why a scratched up used record costs $45, I had already learned the preferred pronouns of three employees, two customers, and possibly the shop dog. They could identify seventeen different micro genres and a native land acknowledgment, but apparently, identifying a reasonable price tag or stocking a decent selection was a bridge too far.
