Fever fans filled the sidewalks, kids proudly carried homemade signs, and there was an excitement in the air that only comes from a city rallying behind its team. We could have people-watched for hours. Our waitress was exactly what every server should strive to be. Friendly, relaxed, and genuinely fun to talk to, she somehow mastered the art of appearing right before we found ourselves looking around for her. We never felt rushed, but we also never waited for anything. The food held up its end of the bargain too. The fried mozzarella disappeared embarrassingly fast and earned a solid 9.3 on my unofficial stretch meter. Crispy on the outside, perfectly gooey inside, with a marinara sauce that was every bit as good as the cheese itself. The chef salad was fresh, generously loaded with toppings, and easily big enough for a meal. I honestly couldn't tell you what beer I ordered... Because what I remember most is the experience. Sharing appetizers on a sunny patio, meeting fellow basketball fans from halfway around the world, and watching Indianapolis come alive before tipoff. Their menu offers appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, pizza and they also have a separate full bar area. They have TVs all around the place along with sports memorabilia decor. Today I decided to try a Philly cheesesteak sandwich and I had some potato salad with it. The potato salad was exceptionally good. The Philly cheesesteak was just OK. It could've used some more meat, onions and peppers on it as well as cheese. They don't offer an au jus dipping sauce. That was disappointing. The sandwich was just OK. The toasted sub bread had a little too much butter on it. The meat was tender enough, but it was also really chopped up quite a bit. My guest had a club sandwich and coleslaw. They liked their meal but mentioned that the coleslaw had a little too much mayonnaise. They actually had more quantity (sandwich) to their meal than I did in mine. The pricing was expected considering how much it costs just to get the basics anymore at a sit down bar / restaurant. I did not visit the bathroom, but sometimes I do just to see what that looks like. It can be an indicator of what the rest of the place could look like, especially the condition of the kitchen. The place really does need a good scrubbing down on the walls and the floors as well as the baseboards to make the grade regarding Chef Ramsay's specs anyway. The menus looked old and worse for the wear. They were sticky and could use a good wiping down or maybe they need to print a whole new batch. The parking can get sparse and tricky if it's really busy. I am not sure if I would go back. There's a few other restaurants I'd like to try instead. I fully learned the 4 "signature drinks" in 2 days they weren't complicated at all but I will say that the bar itself was FILTHY!!! I would always keep moving by constantly cleaning, decluttering and reorganizing the bar, front beer cooler & even the 2 servers stations in the front kitchen during my shifts, THINKING it would stay organized & stocked for the sake of making everyone's shift easier. I WAS INDEED WRONG!! No one restocked for the next "team" member they just took, used & forgot about replacing. Yet their whole motto is "Team work this-- Team that" ... THERE WAS NO TYPE OF TEAM EFFORT EVER! It was always 1-2 people doing THE MOST to pick up the slack of everyone else and then when problems as such were addressed everyone wanted to be in their feelings about what was said so nothing and I mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING got solved! The management ISN'T even REAL MANAGEMENT! Google simply "fowling" and you learn about this odd sport where you combine football and bowling. Just now. Right NOW as I'm writing this, the word fowling finally made (sort of) sense. Football + bowling = fowling. Now I'm even pronouncing the word different with a long "o" sound versus the "ou" diphthong. I had to Google that, too, but once I saw diphthong, I knew it was going in my review. You're welcome for the 5th grade grammar lesson. Please redeem your Pizza Hut personal pan pizza for your hard work. Ok, fowling. It has nothing to do with trapping birds or teaching birds of prey to land on your arm (that's falconry). Nope, it's a game you play with friends and beer. The setup is more like cornhole, but you use bowling pins and throw, that's right, a football. Someone was clearly drunk when this game was invented. But what a great way to bring a group of people together! The Fowling Warehouse specializes in the game of fowling, but has several other activities to enjoy as a group: pool, darts, a few arcade games and a golf simulator. I may go back just for the golf simulator. This is the real deal, a full Trackman set up. It was pretty sweet. Those simulators can be a little intimidating at the PGA Superstore, but it's tucked away in the corner at the Fowling Warehouse where you can shank balls and not feel like a fool. Mostly. There are also two bars and you can order pizza and boneless wings. The bar has a nice selection of beers on tap. They use the magnet cup system where the cup fills from the bottom. My favorite thing was seeing multiple signs on the bar that warn you that if you push the bottom of the cup, you will get wet! And I smiled devilishly thinking about curious people testing their luck with the cups and losing every time. For me, I enjoyed a couple glasses of this blood orange IPA. Delicious and refreshing. The Fowling Warehouse isn't exactly my jam, but I think it's the kind of place that is perfect for a certain crowd who enjoys games and likes a new challenge. And they can handle a large party! If you are looking to try a new sport that feels like it was invented by someone who lost a bet, this place is for you! I kid, but the Warehouse is nice and clean and large! There was a sign in front of the business pointing you to turn down a steer for parking; next block there is a huge parking lot but no signs saying you can park there for fowling, BUT, it was abundantly marked that cars will be towed. Since there was nothing else around, I assumed it was the right place and parked. Of course I briskly walked to fowling to inquire if I was in the correct space. I was, whew. Those towers can really work fast. Fowling is in a warehouse with other businesses, hence the name. It is huge. We were on lane 32, I believe so there's at least 32 lanes. There is also a corn hole area. There is a bar where they have a decent variety of adult beverages. I went with 3 Floyd's warpig, a hazy ipa. It was really good. The important aspect of fowling is not eating or drinking there, but to interact with the people your with. Sure you can win a game, but the fun is the game itself and the camaraderie with a drink. Our leader looked up the rules prior and explained them. You take turns throwing a football at bowling pins, one set of pins on each end of the lane. There are two lines to throw from, our group guys threw from back and women from front. I watched a group next to us, both men and women threw from front line, it didn't appear to give anyone an advantage. I don't know if the pizza place is part of fowling or a separate business, but we got pizza from Bonk Pizza. It was ok, it was enough to say we were fed. I'm glad I did this and would go again.

They have a very compact menu consisting of a few signature pies or you can build your own with their toppings. You can get either a 10", 12" or 16" (they have a 6" option if you make your own. It is not available for signature pies.), you call it. I ordered the Death by Scorpion Sauce 10" pie. I got the scorpion sauce on the side because I did not know what to expect. The pie was ready in about 10 minutes. It was hot, fresh and delicious. It had a little kick to it, like I like. But it was not overly spicy to the point that you could not enjoy it. I really liked it. It was hard making it home without digging in, with it smelling all good and stuff on my passenger seat. In addition to my scorpion sauce on the side, the guy threw in some parmesan cheese and peppers packets. I will be the first to admit that this place looks like a hole in the wall when you are approaching it. However, they make a good pie. I highly recommend checking out this hidden gem.
