On my most recent visit, they estimated the repair would take about four days, but the work was actually completed two days ahead of schedule. That was a pleasant surprise and speaks to their commitment to taking care of customers. What also stands out is their attention to detail. Not only was the repair work excellent, but they thoroughly cleaned the vehicle before returning it to me--even the floor mats were spotless. It's those little touches that show how much pride they take in their work. I decided to go with Steve as his quote was nearly 3 times less than my other go-to guy I have used on many occasions in the past. I am so glad I did! Not only did Steve address the main area of concern, but also cleaned and touched up areas along the bottom portion of both sides of the front spoiler you cannot even see (unless you crawled under to have a look). Every one I went to. And prices that just seemed nearly outrageous as well. Then I came to Steve's Mobile Paint and Dent Repair shop. I could tell immediately I was dealing with a 'normal' business owner that would prove to me that he wasn't some one trying to make a fast buck, or lay some sales pitch on me how it's going to be some outrageous amount. I'm not sure how to put it in words well, but the bottom line is that I immediately felt I was dealing with an HONEST, and Considerate person who genuinely wished to help me and not find ways to gouge me in price nor the 'con' job of what needed to be done. In fact, he showed me how some of the body defects were in fact something that could be buffed out easily. All the other seven body shops had just tallied that area of concern as requiring well over a thousand dollars to 'repair' - when in fact, it was a simple buff and polish and gone, at well, well less that the thousands all the other shops had told me it would cost. What I've learned out of all these shops I had gone to, is that they will attempt to make you believe you need to pay thousands when often some of the 'defects' could be done at a huge fraction of the price. Could Steve had done what all these other body shops had? And got me for much more than what they all knew could be done for less?? But he didn't. That is HONESTY. That is INTEGRITY. That is a GOOD and FAIR businessman!!! He's ONE man that I would trust anytime to repair my vehicle, and would come back again and again. And, anyone that values honesty and integrity, coupled with excellent work and service, would never go anywhere else!

UPDATE: What I discovered after posting my original review made this experience considerably worse…read more My family brought vehicles to Gustafson Brothers for three generations--my grandparents, my mother, and then me. We kept supporting them because they are a longtime Huntington Beach business. That history is exactly why this feels like such a betrayal of trust. I paid $631.30 after bringing in my van for a long-crank/hard-start problem. The invoice included $182.50 for a crank/no-start investigation and stated: "The 'long crank' has been eliminated." It had not been eliminated. I returned because the same problem remained. Gustafson then identified a weak fuel pump--the same component I had told them from the beginning that I suspected. I tried to resolve this reasonably. I did not demand a large refund. I asked them to apply some compensation toward basic fluid maintenance the van needed. They refused. I later discovered another serious problem with the work. The invoice charged $19.98 for positive and negative battery terminals and $182.50 in labor to install them: $202.48 total. Less than a month later, my van suddenly lost electrical power while I was in Long Beach. When I opened the hood, one newly installed terminal was so loose I could move it by hand. Tightening it did not make it clamp securely to the battery post. The other newly installed terminal was also loose, and wiring had come loose at the connection. This became a recurring loss-of-power problem. I repeatedly had to improvise temporary connections just to finish trips because the terminals would not securely fit the battery posts. I am not accusing anyone of doing this intentionally. I have no evidence of intent. I do not need to speculate. The workmanship I personally found is troubling enough. If a professional repair shop charges $182.50 in labor to install two $9.99 battery terminals, expecting both connections to remain secure for more than a month is not an unreasonable standard. The van's transmission later failed. I am not claiming Gustafson caused that failure. I cannot establish that, and I want this review to remain factual. But after already paying for an unresolved diagnosis and then dealing with poorly fitted battery connections, the added financial damage was devastating. There is one final detail prospective customers should know. After my negative Yelp review appeared, the owner contacted us. My impression was that the conversation focused more on what could be done about the review than on beginning with an apology, understanding what had gone wrong, or correcting the work to a professional standard. After three generations of family patronage, that was perhaps the most revealing part. I did not expect special treatment. I expected competent work, fair treatment, and accountability. What I received was: * $631.30 paid. * $419.75 in labor. * $182.50 for a long-crank investigation that the invoice said had "eliminated" the problem. It had not. * $182.50 in labor to install $19.98 in battery terminals. * Both new connections loose less than a month later after the van lost electrical power. * A reasonable request for compensation through needed maintenance refused. Three generations of loyalty ended with me. Get another estimate. Keep every invoice. Get every promise in writing. Inspect the work before leaving--or avoid the expense and aggravation altogether.

Unfortunately I got rear ended recently & my attorney referred me here again & me having forgot that I had to deal with Angie for the whole process I agreed. Once again my car came out great aside from some issues that had to be fixed the service on the car was really good, but Angie's customer service , -10/10 . It's unfortunate she's still employed with the way she acts. My car was in this shop for a little over a month and so I would call here and there just to get a quick update. The phone calls were draining & the responses I would get from her were either excuses or just plain sarcastic responses. I would ask for the owners number because I I reached a point where I just did not want to have to deal with her disrespect & she always had excuses or would just tell me she couldn't provide it. I finally was told my car was ready so I came to pick it up , mind you it was a 30minute drive, all for my car to have to stay again because of an issue that had to be fixed. When I was here she was yelling at me, talking to the mechanic about me in a very disrespectful manner, she was laughing, and honestly acting like a complete child. As I first arrived there was an older lady in there as well asking for an estimate & she even noticed how rude Angie was being. She even went ahead and called enterprise and demanded they pick up my rental immediately when my car wasn't even fully ready. Enterprise then called me and I explained the situation & they even acknowledged Angie is difficult and unprofessional. Finally after making a whole scene for no reason, she finally gave me Pablo's number which is the owner, he was professional and apologized and I explained the situation to him and assured me he spoke to her. I returned again today, this time with my mom, to finally pick up my car , and she was still snappy but nothing compared to 2days ago. It does surprise me how she's able to treat customers like this and still get away with it. The work that is done here does take a bit longer but it is really good . Although, I do feel the need to give one star because unfortunately you have to deal with Angie through the whole process and it is the most exhausting situation to be in when you already have to deal with an accident situation. I hope Angie can find it in her to do better and at least look a little happier because she gives off very negative energy. At the end of the day I'm just happy to have my car back & not have to deal with Angie any longer . After today, I will no longer be giving this place any of my energy .

When I arrived for my appointment, I was met with a chill dude named Alex who was straight forward, informative, and just let me know what I need to know without pushing any extra stuff on me. Prices were fair too and they even gave me a little first time customer gift. They do a nice job inside and out leaving our car looking like new and with some air freshener making it even smell crisp. Their general manager Cyndi Osthus kept us update on our case via email since it was a more complicated accident that resulted in extra procedures needing to be done. Marina Auto Body dealt with all the communications needed to have the insurance cover the needed operations and delivered the car looking as new as the day we got it 9 years ago. I was very disappointed with the customer service here. When I arrived, the front desk staff didn't seem to be aware of my appointment, which was frustrating. Instead of greeting me or checking the schedule, the first question I was asked - very bluntly - was about my insurance, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. Later, when I spoke with one of the agents, he barely made eye contact and kept looking at his monitor the entire time. It came across as rude and inattentive. Excellent , friendly and helpful customer service. Bill Hubbard helped me with the car repairs and had an hard copy estimate for me in thirty minutes. Bill estimated the time for the repairs and I had my car back to me on time. Bill also contacted me several time to keep me posted on the repairs and their communication with the insurance company. Sam Kawarit and his team did a fantastic job fixing both separate events. My car looks absolutely perfect. They even waxed it for me!! They fixed my husband's car and co-worker's car perfectly as well. Car repair shops can be shady so feel confident you are going to an ethical and fair company. UPDATE: What I discovered after posting my original review made this experience considerably worse…read more My family brought vehicles to Gustafson Brothers for three generations--my grandparents, my mother, and then me. We kept supporting them because they are a longtime Huntington Beach business. That history is exactly why this feels like such a betrayal of trust. I paid $631.30 after bringing in my van for a long-crank/hard-start problem. The invoice included $182.50 for a crank/no-start investigation and stated: "The 'long crank' has been eliminated." It had not been eliminated. I returned because the same problem remained. Gustafson then identified a weak fuel pump--the same component I had told them from the beginning that I suspected. I tried to resolve this reasonably. I did not demand a large refund. I asked them to apply some compensation toward basic fluid maintenance the van needed. They refused. I later discovered another serious problem with the work. The invoice charged $19.98 for positive and negative battery terminals and $182.50 in labor to install them: $202.48 total. Less than a month later, my van suddenly lost electrical power while I was in Long Beach. When I opened the hood, one newly installed terminal was so loose I could move it by hand. Tightening it did not make it clamp securely to the battery post. The other newly installed terminal was also loose, and wiring had come loose at the connection. This became a recurring loss-of-power problem. I repeatedly had to improvise temporary connections just to finish trips because the terminals would not securely fit the battery posts. I am not accusing anyone of doing this intentionally. I have no evidence of intent. I do not need to speculate. The workmanship I personally found is troubling enough. If a professional repair shop charges $182.50 in labor to install two $9.99 battery terminals, expecting both connections to remain secure for more than a month is not an unreasonable standard. The van's transmission later failed. I am not claiming Gustafson caused that failure. I cannot establish that, and I want this review to remain factual. But after already paying for an unresolved diagnosis and then dealing with poorly fitted battery connections, the added financial damage was devastating. There is one final detail prospective customers should know. After my negative Yelp review appeared, the owner contacted us. My impression was that the conversation focused more on what could be done about the review than on beginning with an apology, understanding what had gone wrong, or correcting the work to a professional standard. After three generations of family patronage, that was perhaps the most revealing part. I did not expect special treatment. I expected competent work, fair treatment, and accountability. What I received was: * $631.30 paid. * $419.75 in labor. * $182.50 for a long-crank investigation that the invoice said had "eliminated" the problem. It had not. * $182.50 in labor to install $19.98 in battery terminals. * Both new connections loose less than a month later after the van lost electrical power. * A reasonable request for compensation through needed maintenance refused. Three generations of loyalty ended with me. Get another estimate. Keep every invoice. Get every promise in writing. Inspect the work before leaving--or avoid the expense and aggravation altogether.
