Cima in Orlando Florida was different and they served the best meats from start to finish. plus they also served grilled pineapple which you can't get everywhere -- none of the Chicago restaurants serve it. it was great. The meats were very fresh and tasty. And the salad bar was top notch, all fresh with a wide variety of choices. they offered Great service, too. They charge an 18 percent service charge -- but I added more to bring the tip to 20 percent, and gave some of the servers tips too because they were all great. the ambiance is so bright, inspiring and makes the dinner even better. Took my little cousin here for her birthday. This is a beautiful restaurant. The staff is super friendly. They had live music during the Sunday brunch time. Had a wonderful visit to this Brazilian steakhouse that is located on restaurant row on Sand Lake. Immediately upon entrance, we were greeted in a very friendly manner. We sat at the bar because we were coming for happy hour. Happy hour is from 5-7 pm. They have a great happy hour with martinis and old-fashioned for only seven or eight dollars. They also had an absolutely beautiful buffet station set up with all of the trimmings, fruits, vegetables, and sides that you would need to accompany your meats. They also have people walking around the restaurant with beautiful meat presentations. The seafood salad was delicious. The burger sliders and fries were also delicious. The drinks were amazing. Our server, Katrina, was awesome. A manager even came by to check in on us to make sure that we were having a good time. They also have an award-winning wine cellar. Jennifer, our server, was great attentive, professional, and kind throughout the evening. I truly appreciated her service. However, I was not satisfied with my overall experience. We often choose steakhouses for special occasions, so I felt confident booking this location for Valentine's Day. I personally do not eat steak, due to allergy but I obliged my partner and did my due diligence by reviewing the menu beforehand. Based on what was listed, I felt comfortable that there would be sufficient seafood options available. Unfortunately, once we were seated, we were informed that there was a fixed Valentine's Day menu, but his was fine. Throughout our service, nearly every cut imaginable was offered flank steak, strip, filet, ribeye literally every beef option on rotation. Meanwhile, salmon came around once (after multiple requests to the server), and chicken and shrimp were only offered twice within a 90-minute window. Unless you were there strictly for beef, the variety felt extremely limited and unbalanced. For a holiday menu, I expected clearer communication and more thoughtful non-beef options, especially once especially to the server. I left disappointed and will not be returning. We waited very long to get our check after asking for it three times. Most of the time with our waiter was him trying to upsell us on an already expensive meal. We came for a birthday celebration. When we arrived, the hostess told us they had a treat for us at the end. We did not order dessert and upon asking for the check, they brought out a small slice of cheesecake, stating that it was a birthday gift. Turns out the birthday gift costs $10. To start, we had reservations at 7:30p, my new wife and I who are on our honeymoon show up at 7:07pm. A party of 12, a party of 4 (w/a baby), and another party of 2 are seated before us with or without reservations, who knows. I was asked 3 times for my name. At 7:42p we were finally seated in the back left of the restaurant, furthest from the salad bar. The server and the valet were nice and that's about it. The front of the house did not make us feel welcome, asking us to either sit at the bar (which we don't drink), or the lounge where leftover drinks from others stayed the whole time. We were finally seated, my wife wanted to leave but we went along with it, thinking the food and experience would make up for it... With our cards flipped we didn't start to get meat until about 8:05pm (20 min after being seated). Our server attended to us well with water plus the cheesecake at the end which I asked to have to go when a party of 20 was seated behind us and clearly got all attention from the staff. We will never return to this location, we will choose Eddie V or the Melting Pot over this Chima. We felt unwelcome here. This was by far the worst part of our honeymoon. Good luck. read more

The grilled shrimp was hands down the best I've had in the US: juicy, meaty, and perfectly seasoned. The salmon was cooked just right and paired nicely with the pesto. - Grilled pineapple with sugar and cinnamon (abacaxi grelhado): Fantastic and unique. They do it differently than Fogo and Adega, grilling it a lot more on the outside than on the inside and serving it with thicker slices that keep the natural flavor and juiciness. - Caipirinha: Made it right too. While the lemon caipirinha is the traditional one and its acidity balances the fattiness of some of the meats, I'd go with the passionfruit one for a refreshing twist and unique tropical flavor. - Service: Very attentive and friendly. What an incredible experience, seriously one of the best restaurants in Orlando. It was such a memorable experience, that I would definitely return for any celebration. Decided to go out for my birthday to try this a little over a year old restaurant. We love a good Rodizio!! The restaurant is located in a heavily populated restaurant location! They originally wanted to seat us and everyone in the front window location. Understandable, not only for ease of serving but to show a full restaurant to outsiders. Unfortunately I did not want to sit in that are and the manager was very accommodating. The inside of the restaurant is beautifully decorated, with great lighting , ambience and decor. They have a nice happy bar area location as you walk in with great choices and prices. They also have a separate location for a private party too. My husband and I were seated in the main dining area. Although at first glance the salad/ food buffet appeared small and narrow it actually is extremely full with many choices to make everyone happy from a carnivore, pescatarian or vegetarian. Extensive variety just served in smaller bowls. Great way to avoid waste and contamination too. The Rodizio experience was first class! Everything is included for one price as far as meats even the Tomahawk steak too! Nothing is held back, salmon, shrimp, chicken, sausages, pineapple etc. You ask for what you like and how you want it served and they bent over to accommodate us. My husband likes his meats mooing and I know many will be upset but I like my meat well done or no pink. Going to a great Rodizio makes it possible to please us both. If you do like your meat well done I suggest you avoid the less expensive cuts here ( they were a little too tough). Every else was cooked perfectly for both of us. The Brazilian cheese rolls were so good we had two baskets. One thing not to miss, is their variety of dipping sauces at the center bar. Do not miss trying their Spanish/ Brazilian dipping sauce if I could bottle it to take home I would! In addition to the buffet choices and the variety of main entrees you are also served the traditional table side dishes of mashed potatoes ( needed seasoning) , fried bananas ( not glazed or caramelized enough for my liking), fried polenta sticks (AMAZING) and a basket of skinny French fries ( also perfectly done). Dip those fries in the sauces it was yummy. My husband ordered Flan for his dessert ( which he said was good) and I received a complimentary cheesecake with homemade strawberry sauce ( it was delicious too)! Glad I save up room for my dessert. I highly recommend signing up for their VIP email members club. They are now offering a BOGO Rodizio for your birthday month when you sign up ahead of time to get on their email list and then you have to put the birthday code you're given in your reservation. I made a reservation for 1:00 pm on a Saturday. We got there early and they sat us right way, though the main dining area was pretty much empty. The dining area was bright, especially compared to the dark interior of Texas de Brazil. They have a similar salad bar as Texas de Brazil, with a few differences. The have a few more meat dishes, such as beef and sausage and beans. When it was time for the gauchos to serve meat, the waitress brought us a few side dishes: mashed potatoes, fried yuca, french fries, fried bananas coated in cinnamon, and mini cheese bread. But Texas de Brazil only offers mashed potatoes and fried bananas. It should almost go without saying, but make sure not to fill up on all the sides. After all, you're here for the meat selection, not the salad and fries. The meat itself was very good. I enjoyed the filet mignon and sirloin steak. Unlike Texas de Brazil, the meat isn't smothered in salt and spices. This meant I could eat more meat and enjoy the taste without becoming overwhelmed by the spices. The gauchos also brought around grilled pineapple with cinnamon and fried cheese with honey, neither of which is offered at Texas de Brazil. The pineapple was a great palette cleanser between rounds of meat. They also have shrimp and salmon, but we didn't have any of these. Since we were seated in a less crowded section, the gauchos were usually pretty quick to stop by. Though at one point, head gaucho came over almost in in a panic asking if we needed anything or if anyone had stopped by. We said we were taking a little break and we didn't mind waiting. Though we asked for some more sirloin steak and pineapple and those gauchos came by a minute later. So the bottom line is: I recommend coming to eat here instead of Texas de Brazil. Good food and service. Just a little disappointed because we created such expectations about this place and it's not even close to the level that most people talked about. Don't get me wrong, they are good, but regular good, not great or excellent like many people say. Had to ask many times for meats at the right temperature and they insisted on bringing left over, nearly burnt, meats from skewers that were almost at the end. At a place like this, where the average check is about 100 bucks per person, you just don't do that. Out of all their cuts, there were about three that were really good and well prepared: the regular picanha was a hit and miss, the chimichurri Picanha and the beef ribs were the best meat we had. We are Brazilians, and I love "churrasco" so I know quality meat & cuts and been to MANY places that are far better than what we saw at Chima's, for the first time, yesterday. For dessert, I ordered the Papaya cream and it was terrible if I had to score I would give a 2/10. The recap is that Chima is a good steakhouse but the two other competitors at the same price level here in Orlando, are better options with better quality meats overall.
