I love how the decor is classic with wood accent. the service was amazing! We love how attentive Wayne was. We truly enjoyed all the dishes. The half shelf oysters were big and briney, the alligator bites were small and nicely fried, the baked clams had flavorful ingredients, the escargots were soft (the oils were great for dipping bread sticks) , salad was drenched in dressing but still fresh and crunchy, and the cauliflower was huge!. I think the only disappointment was the ribeye. It was full of tendon and hard when it's supposed to be tender. The quality of the ribeye tasted low tier. We were glad the manager didn't give us a hard time when we told her we didn't like it. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience here!

Hands down, the best Sirloin I've ever had. I got the $80 prime boneless sirloin and ordered it rare plus...came out perfect! Juicy, tender, and the flavor of the wood grill tastes this steak to the next level. This steak does not need any type of sauce or condiment added, just enjoy every bite. The portions are fairly large and come with a house salad and bread. The salad was chopped with tomato, green olives, Parmesan cheese, and a Spanish vinaigrette. The service was a 5 out of 5. This restaurant is a true classic gem. They do sell cigars as well and offer seating on the patio to smoke. Although, I didn't have room for dessert, it looked like it was a piece of art and enough to share.

Charley's is hands down our favorite steakhouse, and last night proved exactly why. We celebrated our son's 15th birthday and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The manager even came out with an amuse bouche to kick things off, which was such a thoughtful touch, and the steak presentation never gets old -- it's always such a great experience. Our server, Austin, was phenomenal. We never had to ask for a single thing. He was attentive without being intrusive and truly elevated the whole evening. We started with the lobster bisque (incredible), calamari, and shrimp cocktail -- all delicious. My husband and I shared a porterhouse with au gratin potatoes, asparagus, and a one-pound Australian rock lobster that was out of this world. Our son had the ribeye filet with a fully loaded baked potato and loved every bite. We've had amazing steaks in New York and San Francisco, but we always come back to Charley's. The quality, service, and overall experience are unmatched. It's consistently outstanding and always worth it. Can't wait to return!

The steak alone was a 10/10. The quality and flavor of the meat were definitely the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the sides didn't live up to expectations. The mashed potatoes were clumpy and dry, but the bread was amazing. We took some home because it was addicting. The lobster mac and cheese was also disappointing. It looked better than it tasted with a bland flavor and watery consistency, so we ended up returning it. I'm not sure if we got a bad batch, but I personally prefer Ruth's Chris mac and cheese. The calamari, which our server recommended, was also overcooked and overly crispy to the point where you could barely taste the actual calamari. The service was a 10/10. The staff made sure everything went smoothly and made our anniversary dinner special. The dark, classic old-school steakhouse ambiance with tablecloth covered tables was a nice touch. Overall, while the steak was excellent, I'm not sure I would return. There are other steakhouses with similar quality meats that offer better sides and a more complete dining experience.

This is a fantastic steakhouse in Orlando! I love that everything is cooked over wood and no charcoal or gas! The Smokey flavor comes out in the meats! Portions are generous and service is outstanding! Great atmosphere and not too noisy!

I must say I was pleasantly surprised and it was beyond my expectations. We chose this restaurant from the Yelp thought it was close to the hotel that we were staying at and we're really glad we did. It wasn't a busy night. It was a Sunday. We had a nice table. Old world steakhouse think of the ambience also it was a birthday at the table DANIELLEC an excellent waitress she was professional knowledgeable and she took great care of us. We had three glasses of wine. We had a king on the bone steak a fillet a cauliflower which I must say was OMG because of the birthday they gave complementary meatballs and then desserts. It's like an old world steakhouse with some of the old world service that we haven't gotten in a long time definitely if you're in Orlando and near the Universal Studios make it a way to go there because I think you'll really enjoy it. They have valet parking, but there was parking plenty of restaurants around the area. I'm not sure where the area really is but it was about a five minute drive from our hotel.

It was my first time dining at this restaurant. I can't believe I had not tried Charley's sooner. I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely be back! I wanted to take my mom to a restaurant for her birthday that we've never tried before so I decided on Charley's. If I could describe Charley's Steakhouse in one word, it would be THANKSGIVING!! The food is so flavorful, delicious, hearty and flavorful. Upon arrival I noticed there were quite a few parking spaces reserved for complementary valet parking. I'm not a fan of valet parking even if complimentary so I had a difficult time finding parking because there were not that many non valet parking spots available. Once I entered the restaurant, I was immediately greeted by staff and managers welcoming me and thanking me for choosing to dine at Charley's. I had called ahead to make a reservation and to notify the restaurant that we would be coming to dine for my mom's birthday. So, when we got to our table, we found a birthday card and flower accents. It was a nice little touch. We were immediately greeted by our waiter and several wait staff. We were given a steak and lobster presentation. We aren't big steak people so we came for seafood and chicken. We started with a special chef created meatball appetizer. The sauce was amazing! Next was the fried grouper bites, which were absolutely delicious. I could have eaten the entire plate. The accompanying tartar sauce was fabulous. This appetizer was flavorful and delicious. It was also a good portion of food. Next was the complimentary salad and bread. The salad was a nice portion a little too wet and cold. I believe the salad must have been previously prepared with the dressing already on the salad which made the salad a little soggy. Next the made entree and side dishes. We ordered the chicken and salmon for the entrees. We chose the mashed potatoes, lobster macaroni and cheese, and broccoli for our sides. The chicken was huge! It tasted good, a little tough, but good. The salmon was my favorite out of the entrees. The salmon was a generous portion, it was flavorful. The topping really took the salmon to another level. I paired it with the tartar sauce, excellent! The sides were huge. I was expecting small portions but to my surprise, the portions were anything but small. I immediately felt like a Thanksgiving feast had been placed right in front of me. The broccoli was a generous portion and tasted good. I'm not a big broccoli fan but wanted some sort of vegetable to accompany the meal. I would love to see a cream spinach on the menu. I know that would probably be amazing. The mashed potatoes were so flavorful, rich, delicious, and amazing. The lobster macaroni and cheese was so heavenly. The flavor was out of this world and probably my favorite side. Although I didn't see much lobster at all, the flavor was spectacular. If you are looking for generous portion and flavorful food. You have got to try Charley's Steakhouse. I will definitely be back without hesitation. I will be adding this restaurant to my rotation.

Came here for dinner by myself while on a work trip and had such a nice experience here! My server was awesome and the ambiance was very nice. The food was good, I got the filet mignon and enjoyed the salad and bread it came with. Maybe I am hard to impress when it comes to steak but I did not think it was out of this world. Definitely very good but I was expecting something more after what I had heard from others. Overall I think this is an excellent restaurant with great service!

A solid place to celebrate any occasion! Charley's is a local steakhouse that has a lot of old school charm and elegance. We came here for my mom's birthday and had a fantastic time. Steaks were prepared perfectly and the sides were decadent and tasty. Very classic presentations, and every dish was delicious. Prices were very reasonable given the more upscale experience and the quality of the food. Service was also friendly and attentive.

Update review 1 week later! 4.250-4.50! It's a phenomenal time in Orlando, where the weather is sunny and warm but not extremely humid. Add into the mix that this particular Thursday was the first day of the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill, and now you have a reason to celebrate. We embraced a full day at the API tournament, with an add-on experience at Charley's. knowing the restaurant is a short Uber ride away, I secured a reservation quickly and soon afterwards we were whisked away. Every now and then, I like to add in reservation notes to see if the hostess staff picks up on it and tries to make whatever small accommodation happen. On this update review, I had my Brother with me and thought sitting by the beautiful elevated fish tank would be a nice touch (when you know, you know). The waitstaff acknowledged my request and confirmed if I still wanted it. Great first encounter with a restaurant that confirms your reservation and any seating request. Immediately after, we were guided to our booth, seated directly in front of the fish tank (thank you). Soon after, we were greeted by our server, Chris, who quickly took our drink orders (Waters: one still, one sparkling, a side of limes. Drinks: 2 Expresso Martinis). Now, whenever I go to a restaurant, especially a higher-cost one, I generally like to compare common dishes or drinks from another similarly priced restaurant to see attention to detail and catch any different styles employed. One such comparison was here, we ordered 2 espresso martinis and didn't specify, nor did we ask how we liked them. What showed up was delicious, but it was a milky dessertini. All good, we got another one. Moving into appetizers, we went with another common dish: tableside steak tartare served with sliced baguette. The bread was not good and tasted kind of stale. It would be great to see it grilled on that fantastic grill they have in the front. The tartare itself was done well, and I would say just above average. The next appetizer we got was the citrus-marinated gator tail meat. Overall, it was ok, but as expected, nothing to write home about. A one-and-done dish. Mains: I tried the 21-Day bone-in ribeye at medium rare. The steak came out very well and was at a good temperature. You can really taste dry-aged meat at this level. Pro-tip, try the steak sauces. Currently, my favorites are the truffle and the cognac ones. My brother had the filet mignon, and it was done well. Overall, Charleys did a great job on this impromptu visit after a day in the Florida sun and the Arnold Palmer Invitational. .

We're back baby & we are craving some awesomeness from our Favorite Steak House. Ivan was our knight in shining armor. My wife loves the white sauce with capers that is on the grilled chicken. We were here a few weeks back and had a ribeye so I went with the pork chops & they didn't let me down. They are always cooked perfectly each and every-time we order them. I could go on and on but Charlie's has always been great & the atmosphere is welcoming. AAA+++ Baby

Good service and even better food. I ordered a dessert that I still crave all of the time. It is a bit pricey, but definitely a must check out at least once!

Had a great experience here at Charley's! We were able to make reservations and were immediately seated when we arrived. It didn't look too crowded. There was a guy cooking steaks in front of the restaurant and he was so friendly! The customer service is always impeccable. My brother celebrated his birthday here. They gave us complimentary ice cream. The steaks were delicious! I enjoyed the espresso martini. So smooth and delicious. The food was great if you want to splurge here. I definitely recommend!

Ask the Community - Charley's Steak House

    Is there a kids menu?

The online downloadable menu states at the bottom "Children's & Gluten Free Menu Available"

Do they still have the free birthday dinner?

Not that I have heard of and considering this is a 50 dollar and up per plate I highly doubt it. Worth every penny and not a place for hand outs.

Are the dinning rooms packed so you have a hard time hearing your party?

Yes. In fact, they pack the rooms with tables so full you can touch a person at a table next to you and the servers barely have room to walk through. It's not as bad if you're in a booth in anther area but it's still pretty noisy.

It was 30 minutes from our hotel, so I was hopeful that it wouldn't disappoint! We got there relatively early (20 minutes after they opened for the day), and nobody else was there, so that was kind of awkward, as was being told to order from a kiosk (or use the QR code at the table), rather than give my order to a human. But the kiosk allowed us to kind of 'shop' before making our decision, so that was good. Since we were the only customers, everything came out fast and fresh (in fact, his came out a few minutes before mine, so I had to steal his fries until mine came out, lol) Hubs got the Ultimate Smash Burger and Fries, which was delicious. Soft bun, big burger, delicious fries. I got the Chicken Dippers, and y'all - they were HUGE! And you got SIX of them! Well-seasoned and well-fried, with a flavor that I know I've had before (spice-wise), but I couldn't put my finger on. I ended up only eating two of the tenders, and brought the other 4 home for leftovers. The staff were all super-friendly and attentive. They gave me a box/bag for my leftovers, and bussed our trays when we were done. Seating is ALL tables, so if you're a "Booth Person" you might be bummed. But the seats were comfy, even on a bigger tushie like mine. Paper towels, salt & pepper, and ketchup were on the tables. The only 'con' for me was the hush puppies... it had pieces of corn in it. This is a personal preference, of course, but I like my HPs without pieces of corn or onions, so I didn't ding them for that! Great job to everyone here, everything was delicious. It's on my "Must Go Back" list for next time I'm in the area.

Rachel apologized and worked to get us someone else to take care of us. After that, we settled in and enjoyed the rest of our dinner. I ordered the Beef Empanadas, the Tequila Sunburn Glazed Salmon (comes with Mashed Sweet Potato and Green Beans) and a Dragon Fruit Margarita. The Dragon Fruit Margarita was delicious. I didn't want to get full before receiving my food so I took sips while we waited. It was hard not drinking it all too quickly. It was good. It was served in a glass with a sugar coated rim and lime wedge. The Beef Empanadas are an all-time favorite and never disappoints. I couldn't eat all my food so I packaged the rest to go. Located in CityWalk, we walked into a space that leans heavily into the idea of mixing Japanese-inspired dishes with classic American comfort food, creating a menu that feels more like an experience than a traditional restaurant. The interior has a fun, energetic atmosphere with colorful decor, making it a popular stop before or after visiting the nearby parks. The energy in the room is lively, with a mix of families, groups, and couples, and the layout includes a bar area that stays active throughout the evening. The biggest draw is the "burgushi," which combines burger and sushi elements into one dish. It sounds like a gimmick at first, but we found that some of the combinations actually work surprisingly well. The sushi options are creative, with specialty rolls and presentations that make the dishes stand out, while the burgers provide a more familiar option for anyone who is not looking for seafood. We tried a few of the specialty rolls and found them well executed, with fresh ingredients and thoughtful flavor combinations that did not rely solely on the novelty of the concept. The burgers are solid and offer a reliable backup if you are not in the mood for sushi. The menu has a good variety, so groups with different preferences can usually find something they enjoy, and the playful presentation of many dishes adds to the overall experience. Beyond the main dishes, the appetizers are also worth exploring. The crab rangoon dip is one of the more popular choices and fits well with the restaurant's style, offering a fun twist on a familiar flavor that we found enjoyable as a shared starter. The fries and shareable items make it a good place for groups, especially if you want to try multiple things instead of committing to just one entrée. The variety across the menu encourages sharing, and the portions are generous enough that ordering a few appetizers alongside the mains works well. Service can vary depending on how busy the restaurant gets, and we noticed that wait times can become longer during peak hours. Reservations are helpful, especially around park closing times when many visitors are looking for a place to eat. We arrived a bit early and found the bar area to be a good option while waiting, and the overall environment made the wait feel less inconvenient. The staff were friendly and handled the busy flow with efficiency, though the kitchen pace can slow when the restaurant is at capacity. The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar is worth visiting for the experience and creativity behind the menu. While not every item will be something you would order repeatedly, the combination of sushi, burgers, and playful dishes makes it stand out from typical CityWalk restaurants. It is a place that works best when you go in expecting something fun and different rather than a traditional sushi or burger restaurant, and the balance of novelty and quality makes it a memorable stop during a visit to the area.

Also a special thanks to Amabel for such an awesome job in taking care of us! You both are some of the best customer service representatives I've ever met!

Like, all who come to this establishment are important. We certainly had a great time. Food, good but not great. The gumbo was over salted and so was the crab boil. The hush puppies were so yummy with the provided remoulaude. Whoever put in the Cajun seasoning was heavy handed. I let them know but the rest of my party was pretty hungry so I let them have it. They thought it was salty also but they just asked for regular drawn butter to try to eke out the salt. For dessert we got key lime pie and strawberry shortcake. Key lime needs more key lime. The strawberry shortcake would be better if the cake wasn't so sweet. Their desserts need balance. Located in Universal CityWalk. After 6 is free parking.

FOOD: 5/5 SELECTION: 4/5…read moreSERVICE: 5/5 CLEANLINESS: 4/5 VALUE: 5/5 We come here every year for the past 3 years for team dinner after a show day at Premiere Orlando. The individual hotpot and buffet style is great for large group dinners. $31.99 per person (hotpot only). Service was good. They were very flexible and helpful when it came to my taste preferences. I like Szechuan flavors, but oftentimes the hotpot can be too spicy. I told them this and the waiter offered to give me the Szechuan spice on the side to add to a different soup base. It was perfect! We also got a green milk tea--we usually get 50% but the waiter suggested we get 100% since she thinks 50% would be too bland. We took her advice and she was correct. While this restaurant's selection has most of my favorites, I gave it a 4/5 score because I really like beef tongue and that was only allowed for the bbq. They had a large selection of seafood as well, including raw oysters and snow crab. Ice cream and other deserts are also part of the ayce. Overall, good experience and delicious ayce hotpot. Will be coming back again next year.

I rarely leave reviews, but the displeasing behavior of the host manager named Rami at The Palm…read more(Hard Rock Hotel) leaves me with no choice. He desperately needs a lesson in basic customer service and human respect. After a long day at Universal Studios with our kids, we were fortunate to find a late 9:00 PM reservation for dinner at The Palm. We arrived around 9:05 PM, and while waiting near the seating area, Rami approached us and abruptly announced that our reservation had been canceled. Naturally, I was confused, as I thought my husband had booked it online, and didn't say anything about cancelling it. He was parking the car at that moment, and he was not with me. Before I could even process what was happening, Rami raised his voice and snapped aggressively at me, saying, "Your reservation was canceled, but I am getting you a table, okay?" As I hesitated in shock, he literally yelled at me in an irritated, condescending tone: "YOUR RESERVATION WAS CANCELED! BUT I AM GETTING YOU A TABLE!!" He spoke to me as if he were scolding a child. This was not acceptable or normal hosting. Right behind us was a white family with a 9:00 PM reservation. Rami instantly shifted his demeanor, welcoming them in a calm, polite, and respectful tone. The contrast was impossible to ignore. When my husband arrived and attempted to show him the reservation, Rami cut him off mid-sentence and yelled at him as well: "I got this. I'm working on it, okay?" Refusing to be dismissed, my husband showed him the OpenTable email confirmation. Seeing the active confirmation, Rami's eyes went wide, and without saying a single word of apology, he walked us to a table. I cannot help but wonder: would he have raised his voice, aggressively barked orders, and been condescending to us if I weren't an Asian woman with an accent? This went far beyond poor customer service; it felt deeply disrespectful and racially motivated. What should have been a wonderful family Sunday night at the end of our vacation was completely ruined by this arrogant, rude, and foolish individual. How does a high-end establishment like The Palm allow someone like Rami to host? Management needs to seriously audit their staff and hire people who reflect the reputation the restaurant claims to have. In addition, if the reservation system was what caused the reservation to be cancelled, please fix the issue immediately. Running a resturant takes more than just good food.
