We had truly the best gluten free pizza crust I've ever had at Chimayo! A great, eclectic restaurant right on Main Street in Durango. It was busy when we arrived around 7ish and it was busy but we were able to grab bar seating. One thing to note - they do close early here, even on the weekends. They're only open until 8pm. Gluten free Wild Mushroom Pizza: WOW. We were blown away. My friend is gluten intolerant and both of us have never had such a delicious gluten free crust before that tastes just like pizza dough. It was doughy and light and delicious. The pizza toppings were equally amazing - topped with cheese and a variety of mushrooms and truffle. We didn't want to stop eating it! Roasted Warm Veggie Salad: Amazing, the balsamic dressing on this was so fresh and good. The veggies were deliciously roasted and it was topped with a yummy whipped goat cheese. They had an extensive drink menu here as well with a bunch of great cocktails. They also had a really cute holiday themed cocktail menu as well. I got their Winter Spritz and it had rosemary and cranberry and was light and refreshing. Will definitely be coming back here the next time I'm in town!

We stumbled upon this place when the place we had picked out was actually busy. The atmosphere is fantastic. Brick walls. Offset lighting. Fantastic ambience. Serving staff was extremely professional. We had a serve by the name of Nick. But as we looked around the restaurant and noticed their entire staff and Chef crew in the back that you can see from your table are very professional. Very unique for a tourist town. We chose the Chimayo bread for an appetizer. It was fantastic. Way better than Texas roadhouse dinner rolls with a very unique butter/honey Spread. My wife shows the cauliflower steak. Extremely well prepared. Cauliflower was a 1 inch stick slice of cauliflower with roasted cherry tomatoes, zucchini, wedge, tomatoes, shaved Parmesan, and a very nice light seasoned sauce on top. Fantastic. I chose the flatbread steak sandwich because of the reviews and the recommendation by the server. It was also fantastic. Made with their pizza dough. Stuffed with roasted bell pepper, onions, mushrooms, steak and a very nice sauce. Like a calzone except that the bread wasn't closed over. It was fantastic. .

Nice place, the food was ok but pricey. The service was pleasant but the waiter was covering too many tables. I had the salmon cake, decent but not filling , not worth $27

Had lunch on April 5, 1130 am. Our server was Desirae C and there was a service manager with an earring, and refused to give me his name. Desirae attention to service was poor. She just took order and brought order, that it. No follow ups, forgot to bring one drink and also booster seat. I had to go get the drink, I had to go to, ironically the service manager, to remind him that we need a booster seat. As we were walking out, I asked the guy, if I can speak to the manager. And he says he is, so I politely informed him that the service was terrible. That's when all went down hill, where he had a smirk on his face and responded something to the effect of, thanks for the feedback. No follow through, so I asked for anyone else, he said he's it. I asked for his name, he refused to give me his name. I asked for business card, he says he's doesn't have one. I asked for owners info, he says he either doesn't have it or don't know, That's when things got heated. I went to the bar and ask the staff for same info and all they said, he was it. He tried to recover at that point and finally asked what were the discrepancies. And I told him, he was the first discrepancy. He was extremely disrespectful. And rest of their staff was just as complicit, perhaps they're just as bad or they're scared of him.

We started with the Bavarian pretzel, which was served with beer cheese and mustard. It was delicious and fresh! I then had the southwestern burger, which is always a favorite of mine because of the green chilis. The burgers are always cooked nicely (I order medium) and I was able to substitute a side salad, which was easily one of the best side salads I've ever had at a brewery. We are doing dry January, so no beers this time, but had a lovely hop water that they brew there and even left with a growler full. Highly recommend Steamworks for an authentic Durango experience or if you're just trying to catch a game or hangout with friends. It definitely has fun, local brewery vibes. We will definitely be back!

The location was perfect for us because we were able to easily walk there from our hotel. We were lucky enough to get outdoor seating, which made the experience even better. It was great to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful Durango weather, and people watch while having dinner. We decided to do a beer flight so we could sample a variety of their beers before committing to a full pint. It was a great way to try different styles, and we each ended up finding a favorite. Everything we tried was really good. My husband liked their Buffalo wings and whiskey burger, I enjoyed the seared tuna bowl, and our kids liked their pizza. It is definitely a busy and popular spot, especially during peak vacation times, so I would recommend putting your name in early and expecting there could be a wait. In our opinion it was worth it. Steamworks had a great casual vibe that worked well for both families and adults wanting to enjoy a brewery experience. The downtown location adds to the charm, and it definitely felt like one of those must visit spots while in Durango.

The steak was incredibly flavorful and practically melted in my mouth. What stood out most was how well everything complemented each other, the seafood, pasta, and steak created a perfectly balanced dish. My husband ordered the Ahi, and it was equally delicious, fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. We started with the calamari and were pleasantly surprised when it came with homemade fettuccine. It was honestly some of the best calamari we've had in a long time, perfectly cooked and beautifully paired. Overall, this is a great choice if you're looking for an upscale dining experience with thoughtfully prepared dishes. Definitely recommend.

We were seated on the patio and it took quite a while for our server to greet us. Once she did, she brought water and took our drink order. She returned with our drinks and said she would be back to take our food order. We had plenty to talk about while waiting, but she repeatedly walked past our table to attend to other tables without stopping. Eventually, I had to stop her and let her know we were ready to order. My wife and our friend's wife both ordered a pasta dish with sliced steak and spinach. My friend had a salad with salmon and a bowl of soup, and I ordered the filet with potato lasagna and spinach. As the evening went on, it became breezy and chilly. I asked another server if the patio heater could be turned on, and someone came over right away to help, which we appreciated. When our meals arrived, everything looked excellent and tasted very good. The food was definitely the highlight of the evening. Unfortunately, our server only stopped by our table once during the entire meal to check on us and it was lien she was in a rush to leave to table. We spent a long time waiting to see if she would ask whether we needed anything or if we were finished. It wasn't as though she had to go out of her way to reach us--she walked past our table numerous times while serving her other tables. Because of the lack of attention, I once again had to get her attention to let her know we were finished and ask for a dessert menu. I ordered the Dubai Chocolate dessert to go after she highly recommended it. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the description once I had a chance to eat it. The chocolate flavor was very mild, and the crunchy layer on the bottom was not particularly enjoyable nothing like a Dubai Chocolate. Overall, the food was excellent and deserving of praise. However, for a fine dining restaurant where both the food and drinks come at premium prices, the service fell well short of expectations. Great meals can make for a memorable evening, but attentive service is an important part of the fine dining experience, and unfortunately that was missing during our visit.

Lucky for me, they had so many food options from all the food trucks and a bar at the center. I decided to eat at the slider food truck and ordered one fliet mignon slider and the Cajun fries. We ended up grabbing at table just in time before we experienced torrential rain. Mind you, it had been sunny and 78 degrees just five minutes before and suddenly was freezing. Well, my version of freezing. Finally the buzzer went off and my sister picked up my order. We all shared the Cajun fries because the portion was definitely shareable and they were so good. The filet slider really impressed me! The blue cheese and caramelized onions were the perfect touch. I'll definitely be coming back here next time I'm in Durango!
