It took a solid handful of minutes to get some beers ordered, but they were cold and cheap so can't complain! I love a good dive bar, and maybe the vibe would have been better if we were able to sit at the bar, but it was insanely loud and everyone seemed to know each other, prompting me to finish it up and go along in search of somewhere slightly more chill!

Not very large but big enough for our group of 10. I felt like we were the only people in there that were NOT regulars. The bartenders were nice and warmed up really quickly once they realized we would tip them well. The beer was inexpensive and cold, which is great! Karaoke was also a lot of fun. We would have stayed longer but we were hungry. A few of us made the mistake of ordering food (the "kitchen" closes at 8). I got chicken fingers which might have been tasty if the middle wasn't still frozen. Overall, FUN bar. Great for drinks and singing but eat before you get there! ;)

The best part was the owner's visits to the table. He would describe dishes that made you hungry. We ordered (at his recommendation) the eggplant parm, a fish dish and a shrimp scampi. The fish and shrimp were delicious but the eggplant that two of us ordered was not edible. The owner visited at the end of our meal where we shared the bad news about the eggplant dishes. He was very concerned that we had not had a good meal. He offered to cook up something else to make us happy. Of course we refused. He comped both of the eggplant dishes! He didn't have to do that but we appreciated it. Although this place was a disappointment, the owner's enthusiasm and commitment to great service and good food will bring us back for another try.

They had a few different bars that you could order at, with the main one being inside, another little hut outside, and a cash bar next to that. They also had a pretty cool live band, with a viewing patio right in front of the stage. In regards to my visit to Hot Fish, I'd say I was most impressed with the bartenders at the establishment, who did a great job under pressure. Even though the place was packed, and especially the bar area, they did a great job of remaining calm, and even got our drinks out in a relatively quick period of time. They also made some awesome blue Gatorade shots, which were some of the best shots I've ever had! I didn't necessarily love that there were cops standing guard at the entrance, but the bar's own security staff and bouncers were really nice, which isn't something you see at every one of these places. The only downsides to the Hot Fish Club were that many of the plastic chairs in the outside area were broken and cracked, making it kind of hard to sit a large-sized group like ours (they had a lot of wooden tables, but they were all taken), and that the restroom situation was awful. According to the girls in our group, the actual, physical restrooms were disgusting, forcing them to use the giant line of porta potties. This isn't a huge deal for guys, but it was a little uncomfortable for the ladies. Other than that, Hot Fish was great, and I'd highly recommend stopping by!
