I cannot remember the meal names Shredded beef burrito

The restaurant itself was nice decent size and friendly. The service was ok we came late so it was just the bartender but he was attentive. The food was very mid with a small light for hope. The chicken wings were good could use a better quality ranch but can't complain and the queso and chrizo was good but could use a lil more flavor. I had the steak and burrito the steak had shrimp as well and had good flavor however my steak was 50% inedible fat. The burrito was shredded beef and was actually very good the green sauce was good but a little cold. My rice and beans were a little cold aswell but again we did come late. My gf had the chicken and mushroom dish she enjoyed it and the piece i had was pretty good. My son had the chicken fingers and they were a banger.

The margaritas is what saved them grace!!! When I tell you freshly made at the bar, with a shake refreshing. Nothing pre-made! Fresh chips and salsa was also bomb!!!! We had loaded French Fries and Flautas, good food ( nothing to write home about tho)! Over all I gave them 4 because of the margaritas. By the time my food came I forgot to take the pics.... Blame it on the alcohol

I went to Casa Don Pedro due to them being new and having 5 star reviews. To say I was very disappointed is an understatement. I should have known something was not right when I pulled up and the lot and restaurant were both empty, other than the 2 workers. The menu was very limited, they did not offer a lot of variety like you would typically expect at a Mexican restaurant. I ordered the chicken enchiladas. They were extremely dry and the food did not taste fresh. I asked for red sauce instead of the green Verde saice that comes with the entree. I was charged an additional $1.25 for the red sauce and it came out after the meal. I had to wait 5 mins for them to prepare it, so now my food was cold and dry. I would recommend that they work on perfecting the taste and quality of the few items on their menu.

Desert! Forgot the name but very good.

Drinks and food were good! Service was friendly. Salsa and chips are probably the best I've had in a restaurant.

Our server, Donald, was friendly and attentive, taking our drink and food orders promptly. Less than ten minutes after ordering, our meals arrived at the table hot, fresh, and ready to enjoy. It was less than five minutes from my house, and what really caught my attention was the strawberry fried whatever it was that I saw on the their emails website . It looked so good that I decided I wanted to go there, have dinner, and then get that for dessert. Since I don't eat much dairy, there honestly wasn't a whole lot on the menu that I felt comfortable ordering. I decided to get the birria because I've had birria at other Mexican restaurants in the past, and it was usually mostly meat without a lot of cheese. That was definitely not the case here. These were mostly cheese filled with just a little bit of meat in the middle. The sauce was good, though, and overall the food was okay. One thing I noticed was that I wasn't initially given any chips and salsa. I didn't say anything because I assumed maybe they just didn't offer them. After my meal came out, though, the waiter noticed that I hadn't received any and brought them to me. I appreciated that he noticed without me having to ask. Still, it was interesting because I couldn't help but wonder if being there alone had anything to do with it. Dining alone can sometimes feel like you get overlooked compared to people sitting at a table with several other people. I can't say for certain that's what happened here, but it did cross my mind. The service itself was actually good. The guy checked on me several times, although he did seem a little annoyed at times. I couldn't tell if he was annoyed with me or if something else was going on, so I don't want to assume, but I definitely noticed it. The restaurant itself is big, spacious, and would be a great place to go with a large group. If you want to make sure you get the best service, I would probably recommend sitting at the bar. Since this was my first time there, I didn't know that going in. One of the customers sitting outside actually told me that this was going to be the best Mexican food I had ever had. I'm not sure I would go that far, but I also have to be fair because I'm not really a huge Mexican food fan to begin with. I do love refried beans, though, so I ordered a side of them. I was surprised when they came out red because I've always thought of refried beans as being brown. They also weren't really my favorite, but again, I'm probably not the best person to judge Mexican food because Mexican food just isn't one of my favorite types of food. Honestly, I wasn't even there expecting some amazing Mexican food experience. I mainly wanted something fried, sweet, and tasty. That was the thing I was most excited about. Then came the biggest disappointment. When I was finally ready to order the strawberry fried dessert that had originally convinced me to drive over there, I was told it was only served during the lunch hours. I was definitely not happy about that. After everything that had already happened, finding out that the one thing I specifically went there for wasn't even available during dinner was a pretty big letdown. So overall, I would say the restaurant has a nice atmosphere, plenty of space, and the service was generally good. My food was okay, but the birria had much more cheese and much less meat than I expected, the refried beans weren't really my favorite, and the dessert I specifically wanted wasn't available during dinner. I did appreciate that the waiter noticed I hadn't received chips and salsa and brought them out without me having to ask. I may give it another try sometime, especially since it's so close to my house, but I would probably try something different next time. And if I do go back, I'll definitely be checking the hours for that strawberry fried dessert first because I'm not driving over there again thinking I'm getting it only to find out it's a lunch-only item!

However, an incident happened recently that has now complicated my love for them. I ordered two burritos for delivery recently and one ended up being wrong. It was supposed to be a Burrito Americano with shredded chicken, something I've had before. What came had ground beef and no red sauce, so I figured it was an entirely different burrito and called to let them know mine might have been swapped with someone else's. I understood that there was a good chance it wasn't getting replaced because I couldn't drive up to get another one, and yes that ended up being the case, but what got me was the guy on the phone said "oh sorry, on our tablets where we receive orders, we couldn't see that you made a meat selection so we just chose one." I confirmed that wasn't the case on my end. So one, that's crazy. Two, we've ordered from them before and that hasn't been a problem. Three, if that's true, how am I supposed to trust that I'll ever get what I ordered? So I don't know if they're not taking responsibility for their mix up for if they have a new system that's going to cause a lot of issues. But either way, I'm not thrilled and I'm probably done with them.

If you have specific spices for teas like I do, check out the wall of bag spices AND the selection of plastic containers (in another aisle). I feel bad for writing this because such a large store and the amount of work the employees spend on keeping it organized was impressive. Asking them to reorganize maybe the most "gringo" thing I could do, but I had to ask a customer and her daughter? tried to find the specific spice...they had to ask a worker that took me to the plastic container aisle. BUT- the major thing is that El Morelia offered the spice. Plus others that I wanted try! My other mistake was not visiting during the week and eating at the in store restaurant. On Saturday my bill was almost restaurant prices from a few years ago. During the week prices are more reasonable. The toppings bar completely changes the taste combination and value. Definitely "as-good-as-it-gets"! The employees were restocking bread container with fresh loaves with a sign stating "3 loaves for $2"... I grabbed 3 and just ate one- phenomenal! Not sure if it is sourdough, but it is definitely fresh and delicious! Mexican sodas variety would make Sam's Club jealous. Far more grocery selection than I ever imagined. The store is an old warehouse, but it is clean and well-stocked.
