This is a nice clean restaurant. They are very quick to greet you at the door and get you to your seat! I visited Las Fuentes, table for one. The server was extremely attentive and pleasant. I ordered a fruity margarita flight, they were all yummy. For my entree I had the 3 meat fajitas - the fajitas were tasty but I came for the drinks! The really need to change back to the lighter tortilla chips they originally had we they reopened after the flood. Also the sauce they serve with the tortilla chips is way too peppery. Please go back to the original sauce recipe you had when you first reopened! What was disappointing was having our debit card ran through twice. I went back the next day & spoke to the manager. He said he couldn't do anything & we would have to contact our bank. It took a week & finally received the credit from US Bank. Such good food: we always know what we're having before we get there! Reasonable prices- our entire large family can easily go to Las Fuentes for dinner. There is always room for us. The food is awesome and plentiful - large, delicious servings. Homemade chips and salsa and guac. Excellent service FAVORITE times = All of them! Don't get me wrong, I love the food. But if you don't mind a nasty attitude or two during your visit or being overlooked for about a 1/2 hr then this is your spot. Nope I was a regular since you couldn't tell me anything about this place. Id still go but like always that one visit will change your mind about what you spend your money on. Today was easy to order, about a 1/2 hr wait on food ( when the restaurant is almost empty.) But the thing that was mostly disappointing is that I asked for certain toppings on the side due to my child having a major allergic reaction requiring an EpiPen and tomatoes were still put on our order. In addition to this I paid for extra queso on both of my orders of nachos and literally we got less than a half a tablespoon of queso on our order and nothing was given to us on the side. I feel as of we paid $50+ on food we can't even eat. I'm not fond of taking food back to restaurants because you don't know what they do behind the scene. So off to Taco Bell we go. They officially ruined our taco Tuesdays. Smh I so love this place but maybe we'll revisit it in the next couple of months. read more

The portion size was generous. Service is a bit slow but they also don't rush you to leave once you've finished your meal. I ordered the fajita for one with two meats. The menu listed the price as $15.50. When I received my check it said subtotal of $17.50. I immediately called the waiter to ask about this discrepancy and he said that since I ordered a second meat, it was an extra charge. I disputed this because the $15.50 includes the choice of two meats. There is an option for $14.50 for one meat, and $16.50 for three meats. He also made no mention that the second meat would be extra in addition to the price listed on the menu when he took my order. I initially thought that this was just a simple mistake on his part, but when he started to argue with me that the extra meat was extra, I got upset and immediately told him to give me a new check with the new price. I was quite furious at this point because it was like they were trying to cheat me when I knew I was right. Be aware of this place; always check your receipt before you gave your card. read more

Have not been to this establishment in over 10 years. I remembered why. The menu is overwhelming too many items and some they don't even offer anymore. Our server was this restaurants saving grace. The food was greasy and VERY bland. I ordered chile rellenos-those were greasy and the sauce was bland.The beans had almost a burnt after taste (the heat was too high on them.) The rice was old and greasy as well. The food presentation was just sloppy and plain. There was no bells and whistles aka pico de gallo,guacamole and sour cream. Their food didn't reflect the price. This is yet another establishment that is now another Tex Mex restaurant that apeases those that want cheap happy hour drinks and subpar sad Tex Mex bar food. The employee gave a bag of food to me and I gave her a tip--but when my husband and I got to our daughter and son-in-law's new apartment--they had just moved in and this was to be a treat--we had three dinners and nothing we'd ordered. Our daughter is vegetarian, so we'd ordered 3 cheese enchiladas for her, and the 3 dinners we got were all meat. My husband called and spoke to three different people and was told that they realized the mistake , that it would take half an hour to recook our order--and THAT WE NEEDED TO BRING BACK the food we hadn't ordered and wasn't especially to our liking--but at least was a bit of something to eat while we waited for our son-in-law to get our actual order. At least our daughter could have eaten some rice and beans after a long day of moving before getting her cheese enchiladas. We had opened the meals, of course, so they couldn't be resold (I hope!), but they insisted that the wrong meals would need to be brought back before we could get our actual order!!!! Wow. Las Fuentes is one of my favorite restaurants in St. Louis. Went here tonight and was absolutely blown away by their tacos, which I thought were fantastic. I was especially intrigued by the description underneath the taco section of the menu, in which it stated something like: "There are very few places that actually do a taco right." Having lived in Southern California for awhile, I figured I had an inkling as to what good tacos were, so I took them up on that challenge, absolutely! I ordered the tacos norteños, which had a nice mix of chorizo, chicken, monterey jack cheese, cilantro, and the usual. Well if those weren't some of the best tacos that I've ever had, wow!! The tortillas were absolutely great, chorizo was mildly spicy and offered a nice kick, and the salsa verde to top it all off truly made the taco. Yup I was pretty much in heaven, that's how good it was! My wife was also very pleased with her New Mexico chicken, which was extremely moist, delicious, and full of tremendous flavor. She commented many times about the positive, happy atmosphere and the delicious food- we had a great time! Our kids enjoyed their kids' meals as well, and no one left hungry or in a bad mood whatsoever. Much of that can be attributed to the awesomeness of our server Mel, who was very kind, attentive, and provided excellent service. We will most certainly be back! read more

I ordered the Flautas Nortenas as well as numerous others items. When I arrived it was waiting on me. I'm excited, happy and hungry by this time. I get back home to open my box and it looks like this . No/very little cheese, very little meat and burnt on the ends but soft in the middle. I've eaten a rolled taco/flautas at numerous restaurants, never have they come with a red sauce nor no cheese. I called to have it remade or something and this man asked me so I want him to waste his money . of course m phone went dead. Called back, the man that I was talking to picked up and stared for me to call back after 5 when the manager is there. Advised I would just like a refund, this man then says do not talk to me like that . This is why I only go to El Maguys Natural Bridge. Update 7/8/20 I spoke with a GM the same day I made the above post and advised of the above information, he apologized and offered a credit. Today I call and place the reorder, spoke to a very nice young lady and that was that. I go to the establishment to pick up my food as soon I walk pass the window a gentleman is standing there staring out and just instantly gave me a bad vibe with out even speaking. The same gentleman greets me at the pick up window and asks the name on the order I told him. This man tells me that he can no longer honor the credit because I made the above post. Ok well you will refund me my money, was my reponse. This man was soooo disrespectful and argumentative about my post. Instead of trying to appease the customer, mind you Mexican is my fav and I love a good margarita, he wanted to tell me that I'm getting nothing due to the review. My food was already made and after going back and forth for a min he handed me my food. This place is buzzing on a Friday. It looks tiny from outside, but is pretty spacious once you walk in. We were able to sit down right away, and were attended within a few minutes. The wait for our food was reasonable. The food was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The prices may seem a bit high at first, but were reasonable once we saw the servings. I would happily dine in here again, and recommend this to those looked for very good Mexican cuisine. read more
