Excellent location, excellent menu. Try the Vesper. It's a really fun twist on a classic.

Usually restaurants in Manhattan pack you in tightly with others parties. This one, you can't hear the conversation of other guests. The service was exceptional as always. It's michelin for a reason. No need to elaborate. It's within expectation. The smoked trout was amazing. Everything worked together to make a refreshing savory appetizer. The steak tartare with the potatoes was an amazing combination as well. The duck leg was within expectation. It's very similar to a Peking duck leg. The pasta was done well as well. Overall it's pretty good.

In the winter, I ordered wagyu steak tartare with crispy potatoes and confit duck leg, and both were amazing. For this lunch, I decided to try something different. summer squash, smoked trout, almonds: beautifully plated almost like a piece of art. The summer squash was very fresh, and the smoked trout was flavorful, although a little too salty for my taste. The almonds added a nice crunch and texture. sea bass, romano beans, clam broth: the sea bass had the perfect crust, and the clam juice was wonderfully flavorful. The romano beans were one of my favorite vegetables. I appreciate the summer menu, especially with summer squash and the sea bass. If I could suggest two improvements, I would make the smoked trout a little less salty and increase the proportion of vegetables on the plate to better balance the dish.

We loved the flatbread pizza, guacamole, chicken sliders, and cocktails while taking in views of the Empire State Building, Times Square, and the Jersey skyline. If you're planning a visit, go on a Friday! The DJs keep the energy going with a mix of music from house to which it ended with a R&B and Caribbean vibe. Bonus: there are two floors and private event spaces. (The rooftop is open to the public Monday through Friday only, while weekends are reserved for private events.) The service was good.Definitely a rooftop worth adding to your NYC list!

Super cool entrance, very industrial yet chic vibes. There were fairly nice views from the inside, but I imagine they're a lot better from the outside. For drinks I got the Lime Leaf and my bf got the Blackberry. Mine was refreshing and maybe a bit more spirit-forward than I prefer, but still good. My bf enjoyed his drink, which was quite strong. I also got the watermelon and feta appetizer, which I thought was quite good! The fruit was interestingly crispy (in a good way!) and it came with almost a lime sorbet dolloped on top which was cold and added a nice refreshing touch. A little on the pricey side but still overall a good experience. Service was relatively attentive.

There are three different themes of decor as you walk through, and the staff said it was themed after Midnight in Paris. Very comfortable and easy to have a conversation. We each ordered one drink: Zero Proof(n/a)- full sun Latin Matrix A glass of red wine (unfortunately I didn't note which she ordered.) The staff overheard we were celebrating a birthday and offered us each a complimentary drink after we had already closed out so that we could do a birthday cheers (since one person doesn't drink, one of the complimentary sparkling drinks was also non-alcoholic). I highly recommend!

Since it was right next to where I was leaving my friends, I decided to see if I could get a seat at the bar without a reservation. I checked in with the host and she said they had room. So no rezzie needed that night when solo. The bar area is very dark and intimate. I only had time for one drink and decided on the one above. It was nicely balanced. I'm a whisky girl, especially rye, so I enjoyed sipping on this. A nice stop on the way to diner. I was here years ago, but that experience is a little hazy. Glad I was able to revisit. REVIEW #4002
