King Cole is located inside the St. Regis but open to everyone. The service here and specifically our server was really good. I ordered fries and the pita/hummus dish. Both were so good and the pita was so fresh. It also comes with dolma/grape leaves and olives. The fries came in a large portion as well. However the prices here are way too high even though it's in the st Regis. Not sure I'd come back for that reason alone.

One of the classic NYC cocktail bars has reopened. It's not very large and causes people to wait on line until a spot opens up - a bit of a cattle call but worth it. Our old fashioned were strong and tasty. The bartender friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor and ambiance were what we needed that day. The dark interiors, mood lighting, the murals.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Pricy drinks in classy atmosphere.

There's no better experience than the St. Regis at Christmas. We went into the city to look at some decorations and to have dinner for our anniversary and after dinner, we went to the King Cole bar for a drink. Yes it's very expensive, but we went in knowing that. The bartenders that work there have been there for 30 to 40 years and it's just amazing to see how they work and how they interact with their customers.

Classic New York old clubby bar- great ambiance. Seated right away on a Saturday evening. I went to King Cole Bar to see the Maxwell Parrish mural - stunning. I read it was valued at $12 million/wow/5 stars!I was at the Met earlier and after seeing this mural, quite the cultural day. Ordered a Cosmo and Aperol Spritz - $27 for each cocktail and they were big pours. Service was very slow -but was a great place for a good cocktail.

Incredible. The Maxifield Parrish mural is what drew us in. It was the ambiance and service which kept us there. We were there during UN week, and the place was packed with dignitaries from around the world mixed with tourists such as us. While we're nervous about the crowd, we only waited a few minutes for the staff to clear a table of some slow, non-drinking patrons. Fantastic service, made us feel like regulars. The drinks were amazing - well mixed and creative. I will say, for us, only a couple drinks were in the budget, but it was worth the experience. Recommend checking out other parts of the Regis downstairs - really nice displays about the history of the property.

I went to King Cole Bar with a friend before dinner nearby. The bar is in the St. Regis, and is very "Old New York." There is a famed Max Parrish mural behind the bar. The space is wide but small, with booth seating around the perimeter, a bar in the back, and some high top tables in the middle. We were seated promptly without a wait. The service was fair. We were given snacks immediately, which was nice. There was a long period where our server didn't return to our table, but continued to serve those around us -- this was a little annoying. The drinks here are, on their face, expensive. I got the Harry's Texas Bloody Mary ($27), and my friend got a martini ($28). The drinks, while expensive, are really really large and probably equal to at least 1.5, if not 2, drinks at an equivalent place, so the price wasn't that much of an issue. My experience at King Cole Bar was fine. It is a beautiful space, but is probably not the vibe I typically go for. I do think that if you're looking for this type of monied, Old New York style place, this isn't a bad spot to hit.

If you're looking for the quintessential NYC bar to go to after work or for a power meeting (we still do those, right? No?), this is the place. Steeped in history, the birthplace of the Red Snapper (bloody mary) has a recently restored showpiece mural by Maxfield Parrish that also provides the name. Service was excellent, drinks refined and appropriately stiff, and the vibe is polished. There are other good bars to frequent but I like this one, especially if trying to impress someone with solid offerings that don't rely on smoke, infusions, or fancy add ons. ;-)

Gorgeous hotel, and beautiful bar with great drinks and service. Dawson was so kind and accommodating to my friends and I. We had an amazing time. My only criticism would be that perhaps they should adhere a bit more to the dress code posted, as all the tourists in streetwear/sweatpants takes away from the ambience and vibe of this historically upscale establishment.

Ambiance: This place has a nice ambiance, definitely very "New York" -- dark (you can't see how dirty the floor is) and loud music (maybe too loud). We sat upstairs (we had a reservation) and of all the people on the top there was a party of 4 (us), a party of 8 (all dudes celebrating something) and the rest of the tables were on a DATE - which I thought was funny. Service: We were served by Ann-Marie who was so delightful. She was kind, super nice, and took the time to speak to us (which is basically how we figured out she wasn't a native New York City person). She gave us good food suggestions and we were very happy with our selection. Food: Here is what we ordered * Steak Frites: My two boys got the steak frites and I have to say the steak was awesome! I had a bite of each of theirs and they each ordered it differently (one Medium Rare/Medium and one Medium) and they both were prepared PERFECTLY. The fries were overflowing. * Caeser Salad with Salmon: My wife got the salad with Salmon (they only have a few salad options) and she enjoyed it. * Prawn and Crab Risotto: I got this and I have to say it was VERY bland. I wouldn't get this if you are looking for taste. I had to put salt and pepper on it to make it have any semblance of taste. Value/Price: I would say this is not over priced but it is not cheap either...bill is attached. I would recommend it to folks who are looking for a good place to either go out on a date or a family type meal.

I could see how this might be a little harder to get a seat for a bigger group if you aren't there before 6. It seemed that once a group got a big table, they camped out. The drinks were strong and creative. Friendly bartenders, good music, and yummy options for bar snacks. Also, the bathroom is a nice touch. Given the hell theming for the bar, the bathroom is a 180 and while using the Lou, you can listen to the bible being recited. Theres also a spooky surprise if you press the button in the bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom, it is at the bottom of some decently narrow stairs. So, try and stay sober enough for stairs or you may fall. Go to this bar. You will have fun.

After we shared we were going to Osamil Upstairs, the hostess from Osamil promptly unlocked the unmarked door for us to head upstairs to Osamil Upstairs. Had other customers not come out as we were walking up the stairs, we might have passed the entrance to Osamil Upstairs and continued upward! Much like what you might expect of a speakeasy, it's well-hidden, and the interior just blows the mind. It's elegant, beautiful, and comfortable. The drinks were good. My cheese in the trap was smokey (as promised!) and alcohol forward. My hubby had the Jung cocktail and it had the most magical, delicious combination of flavors! We also ordered a foie gras with toast appetizer as a pre-dinner snack; it was OK. All in all, a really pleasant experience and we'd return if we were in the area again!

Due to some unforseen circumstances (on our part being First time visitors not understanding NY traffic) we were short on time and they were still able to accommodate us! We were looking forward to do one their prix fix menus but had to cut our time shorter. We had the shrimp cocktail, would recommend and also really loved the serving coupe it came in! Fried artichokes that were mid at best and saved by the sauce it comes with. To save time we split the steak frites, I would recommend, though bot as tender as I normally like, I appreciate the serving and flavorful bites. The drinks are amazing and we love how they're all accompanied by a story! I had the heir to empire and our lovely waitress asked for my favorite color and when the drink arrives, it came with a little coaster in purple! And it was strong without it being overwhelming. For the remaining of dinner, I had a red wine and it was a perfect choice for the meal. Our trip to New York was too short because we wished we had been able to go back and check out their live performances. The vibe if the place was moody and inviting and we wished we could have gone back! We loved the Broadway homage throughout without being tacky.
