I order seafood soup once a month for a soup day. So yesterday I ordered seafood soup and only asked for no Scallops and they proceeded to give me shrimp with no crab imitation crab mind you!!! Sorry but I do love my imitation crab so then when I called they just ignored me and hung up on me that's not good business. I go there at least once a week for food. Well I'm giving them a 1 star until they make it right. Sorry I pay for the food I want what I ask for! The foods good when they make it right and don't ignore a person making a complaint. read more

The dishes off the menu are your standard ho-hum. However the crab puffs/angles are amazing!!! They actually have more than a few grated carrot to give it that crunch with the cream cheese. I have yet to go when the buffet was up and running. Poor planning on my part I guess. Like others have mentioned, the owner's kid is there and let me tell you what. The kid has some of the most obnoxious toys blasting away. On one visit she sat behind us playing with her baby doll who loudly cries. Arrived around 7 at night on a Thursday and I was the only one here. That made me nervous. Ordered fried rice and sweet and sour chicken and Lo mein. Cannot believe how fresh it was. Wow - Had high hopes for this new Chinese place with a prominent location next to the Carmike Shiloh 14, but it was a major disappointment. The kung pao chicken and orange beef were pretty gross, both needing more spice and less blah. The breading on the beef was just nasty. read more

We eat here about once every two weeks for lunch. Sometimes we order off the menu (their homemade potstickers are OUT OF THIS WORLD) and sometimes we have the buffet. True, they are not very busy but having eaten there well over 20 times their food is always fresh and delish. The buffet is a darn good deal at under $10. Their sweet and sour chicken and shrimp puffs and everything else is really wonderful. Hands down the best sweet and sour shrimp from the regular menu. LOTS of shrimp breaded just right and fabulous sweet and sour sauce. I'm glad they aren't that busy as there's always a table! read more

I am extremely appalled at the customer service received by the OWNER after getting sick from eating their food. I ordered the cashew shrimp for delivery and it came with no cashews, NO BIG DEAL. I ate some of the shrimp and got sick 1 hour later. I do not normally complain but I decided that $21.00 seemed like too much since I was throwing up. They asked me to drive the leftovers to the restaurant for a refund, so I did. When I got there the OWNER argued with me because I ate 7 shrimp. She was throwing the lid around and after 25 minutes of taking what seemed like verbal abuse from her she gave me a $7.00 refund. I left extremely upset and I would never recommend this restaurant to ANYONE. read more

We went on a Thursday for dinner ~ 7 and there weren't many people there so we were a little concerned, HOWEVER...The food was GREAT and the service was good too! The sweet & sour could have had some veggies but I was thrilled that the sauce was on the side, then my honey could share & the outside didn't get soggy when I took half of it home. My honey had Kung Pow & it had LOTS of veggies & he loved it. The best part, when he ordered no onions, the waiter asked if no onion on the rice too & NOTHING had onion on it. I can't tell you how many dinners have been ruined because of ONIONS (since far too many places pre-make food) so this was a big plus! I can't wait to try the buffet so we can try other dishes too. :) read more

We were over charged by $9 though, and when confronted the young man hosting said he didn't know what the waiter had put on our bill and the waiter refused to come up to the desk. These guys are the best around town, they don't mess around, it's a family owned business and they will deliver almost anywhere within reason. Lockwood is within reason for these guys! They have the best honey ck, orange ck, general tso's ck, & blk pepper ck that you can try during lunch or dinner buffet hours! listen I know what I'm talking about I was born and raised in Billings and they are the best around town trust me & if you get a chance try their buffet during lunch & or dinner hours it's affordable and delish! This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Billings! They have the best menu and you get what you pay for! The flavors in their food never disappoint! My favorite menu item is the sesame chicken combination platter. You get your choice of soup, 2 crab rangoons, a pork skewer, 1 egg roll all to start! Plus your choice of entree and fried rice! Last night we ate at the China Bistro. My husband and I both choose the buffet. It was probably some of the worst food we have ever been served by a restaurant. The pot stickers were burnt, the rice was stuck to the bottom of the serving pan, the chicken was cold. I'm honestly surprised we didn't get sick. They had lightbulbs burnt out everywhere. There were dings all over the walls. I get the feeling they just don't care about quality. Take my word for it, don't waste your money, or put your health on the line. read more

Went to the buffet on Friday. Was tasty, however, about 2 hours after I got home, my stomach started to hurt and I ended up with food poisoning. Spent about 95% of my night throwing up and having severe diarrhea. I've never gotten sick there before, but I also find it strange that they let their tiny toddlers run about the place and in the back of the kitchen. I absolutely love this Chinese place! I order the platters every chance I get! Comes with your own choice of soup, chicken skewer, 2 crab Rangoon, egg roll, fried rice and one main thing you want, I usually get the Lo Mein noodles but all of that for only 15.99 and its all fresh!! This place is reliably good. I've only ever had take-out from them, but the order is always accurate and the food always hot. The employees are super helpful, and by the time we stopped in to pick up our third order, they remembered us (and most recently they remembered us enough to point out that we hadn't ordered in a while-oops!). I wish I could put NO stars. They debitted my account twice and said that we had paid for that amount. When we asked for our money back, since it was their error, they refused to reimburse us until we showed them our bank statements! This used to be my moms favorite Chinese buffet. It used to be a great place, in fact in 2007 they were rated one of the Top 100 Chinese buffets in the country. Unfortunately, that was a long time ago, yet they still cling to that award with posters everywhere. Today, I would rate them in the bottom 100. The imitation crab actually tasted moldy! When we told an employee he said it couldn't be. The other fare, limited as it was, was bland. I won't be going back! read more
