So I ordered salmon, Salmon Roe, tuna, and scallop. One thing I love about Japan and Japanese food is presentation. The bartender brought it out and the restaurant...order was wrong, but not the problem. Zero effort at presentation...not sure why they didn't just serve it on a paper plate. One piece was on its side! Because it was missing the salmon roe...He took it back and about 15-20 minutes later it came back again without the salmon Roe..he said give me a minute.... I handed him my card, paid and left. The sushi looked like the fish had been starved and the lack of even a modest attempt and presentation made it unappetizing. The service was great, and the ambiance was excellent. The food was bright and tasty, not just well made, but imaginative. My sister's sushi roll included a fruit component that I thought might be too sweet, but it was tart and really complimented the fish. Another standout was the jade martini cocktail. We have been here often and this experience has really changed my perception of Asian Sea Grill. There is so much dry filler in the fish I cannot taste it. I know the prices increased due to inflation but the crunch/filler is so overwhelming . Prices increased and the quality went way way down. It was extremely dry and bland. The response from the sushi chef was this is how it is always made and they changed nothing. We were also told there was nothing they can do about the subpar lacking half-assed sushi we were served. Short version: Tasty, good quality food and delivery available. But may want to eat in and skip delivery to avoid missing menu items. Long version: I came across Asian Sea Grill while in town for business and wanted delivery to my hotel. The dinner I received (chicken and steak hibachi dinner) was very good - fresh tasting vegetables and not too much sauce. The ingredients were of good quality and I would definitely EAT the food again. However, I had to give 3 stars because the online ordering and online menu are so inconsistent that ordering was a nightmare. First, the website itself states to call for delivery or use BeyondMenu or Menufy. I called the number listed and was told they don't do delivery, but that they have delivery available through UberEats or CafeCourrier. After looking at the menu and deciding on hibachi, I first went to UberEats. However, the UberEats menu for this restaurant did not have any hibachi listed at all! I turned back to Yelp's delivery feature (listed as delivery.com) which actually goes through CafeCourrier. This menu did have hibachi dinners listed, and as the reataurant website indicated, a hibachi dinner was to come with both a soup AND salad. However, when I went to order, I was only permitted to choose one side (soup OR salad). Assuming was a technical glitch, I selected soup then added a note in the order comments about which salad dressing I wanted. Unfortunately, no one called to clarify, and I was pretty bummed to find no salad when my food arrived. read more

We started with an entree of potstickers and we could very quickly tell they were cheap pre-made frozen potstickers that you could probably get from the grocery store freezer isle. I ordered two sushi rolls and both of them were very bland and low quality for the prices they charge. It tasted as if the rolls had sat out all day. My husband ordered the hibachi dinner meal. The steak was overcooked, but had a decent taste. The rice and noodles were extremely bland and had no taste to them. Anything from the grill I've had so far is great. Fried rice, bomb. The orange peel chicken is, BOMB. They have great lunch specials. HOWEVER-- I just moved here from the SF bay area where I was fortunate to eat fantastic sushi, but even in the ritzy areas, rolls hardly ever exceeded $20. This place is charging up to $20-$25 a roll in Billings! If only they knew that they could have more customers, especially more return customers if their pricing wasn't so high for fish. If they could offer good sushi that doesn't cost an arm and a leg I'd be here twice a week, at least, throwing down big money. I can't justify throwing down $20+ for a single roll. Side note. Have to remember that a lot of money is made off drinks. If you are scaring away customers with sushi prices you'll never get those high margins on sake, beer, etc. read more
